Adding to his high-octane series, Ken Fite delivers another winner that will keep readers enthralled as they make their way through the sixth novel. Blake Jordan is visiting the White House with his family. While they enjoy conversation and banter, an explosion rocks the East Wing, sending panic throughout the building. While Jordan is curious to find out what is going on, information is sparse, particularly since he no longer works within the intelligence community in any form. It’s soon determined that someone has accessed White House air and ground space with drones that carry some explosives. How this could have happened has Jordan and many others baffled. Called into temporary service to help stop the threat, Jordan discovers the perpetrator, but also come to realise the true mastermind is a man he knows well form his past. Meanwhile, a man with significant tech experience has been kidnapped and is forced to hack into some of America’s most powerful drones. With the terrorist group in control of the drones and weapons, it’s time to destroy parts of America unless a key demand is met in shot order. Jordan must work quickly, as there is little time to waste and for some, death is no impediment. Fast-paced and full of action, Ken Fite shows why this series is worth the reader’s time. Recommended to those who enjoy political thrillers, as well as the reader keen to find a short read that does not wane in its action.

I stumbled upon this series through Amazon and devoured the first few books in as many days. Ken Fite has an amazing way of telling a story without the need of much window dressing. He gets to the point and ramps up the action from the opening page. Working with Blake Jordan again, Fite builds on his past experience to put him where he is now and then pushes the protagonist a little more. There is mention of some backstory, but much of the book revolves around his gritty abilities as he seeks to defend the country he holds dear. Other characters, both returning and new arrivals, work well to keep the story moving at a quick pace. While there is the overdone aspect of Islamic terrorism, it is handled in a way that will not leave the reader feeling they have read it all before. The story moves quickly, much like the other books in the series, which only adds to its greatness. Binge reading this collection is not only an enjoyable experience, but also easy to accomplish. Ken Fite is emerging as a high-class author in a genre that is supersaturated already. I can only hope he has many more ideas for his fans to enjoy.

Kudos, Mr. Fite, for another winner. I keep my eyes peeled for when you are writing and am so pleased to have been able to read this so soon after publication.

Love political thrillers that feel like they could be taken from the headlines. Given all the hacking and computer viruses there are, it doesn't seem too far fetched that system that controls the nation's drones could possibly be hacked.

There's great action in this book starting with the explosions at the White House and continuing from there as Blake gets involved, albeit reluctantly, in trying to determine who is behind this and why. With each question I had that was answered, I found that I wanted to know more about who was behind all that was going on and what the motive(s) were. Once you start reading this book, you won't want to put it down. Can't wait for the next one.

The BEST of all (and I LOVE THEM ALL)!!! I listened to it on my KINDLE FIRE and was filled with goose bumps as I was holding my breath to find out what will happen next!! So well written that I felt at times as if I was right there in the room listening and feeling everything!! Ken Fite brought tears to my eyes several times because this is a POWER FILLED book on multiple levels. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this book!

The Shield

Blake,Jamie,Kate and Matthew are at the White House when two drones with explosives strike the East Wing. Blake was committed to being a male figure in young Matthew's life but he is still drawn to protecting his mentor, the President. With Jamie's support he leaves them in the Treasury Building to help Parker figure out what is going on and who is launching the drones. Slowly it all comes together and Blake and those he works with best are able to solve the puzzle.

Grab This Book

What a thriller. Was glued to this book and couldn’t put it down. Non stop suspense and action from start to finish. Blake Jordan, the main character, can hold his own with characters from novels by Ludlum, Baldacci and Cussler. Dont miss this book; it was fantastiv.

Awesome!

Blake Jordan is back and I enjoyed every word of this well written book, and the action is still there like the previous books. Someone has taken over control of the military's drones. And they have been fitted with missiles that can cause instant death and destruction. Someone is going to release them on our own country unless he can find them and stop them.

Twists and turns

He races against time to stop the terrorist but can he?
Another thrilling ride. Thank you Ken

I’m glad Blake is back

Enjoyed reading this episode in Blake Jordan’s life. It was a good read, but not a great read. To me, it was far too short, not enough Jamie and I figured out the villain way to soon. In the earlier books, there were a few more twist and turns, before the villain was exposed. I’m looking forward #7, and I hope the wait isn’t as long!

Blake is minding his own business when the world shifts mightily!! The bad guys rear their heads and go after the President in his own home. Blake gets drawn into the fight and the action doesn't slow down. Twists and turns keep you turning those pages to see what happens next!! A great read!!!

Outstanding Thriller

Another Blake Jordan thriller. Ken Fite knows how to create the story line, Nagpur in the twists and turns to throw the reader off track as the other develops. Looking forward to the next book.

Blake never disappoints

At the risk of sounding insane...we need people like Blake Jordan in our country and we need to remember that duty and honor matter. We should all have someone to look up to. Well done, Mr. Fire, well d.

A thriller

A lot of action in this book. The hero is a good guy and was unknown to me as I had not previously read about him. It is not necessary however, to have previous knowledge to enjoy.

Fantastic

The Blake Jordan series continues to deliver in The Shield, just as it did in the previous titles. I was so sad to get to the end and see that this is the last in the series. I definitely want more of Blake Jordan!!

All of the Blake Jordan series was fantastic. Can't wait for the next one! The books grab you at the onset and you can't put them down. My only negative comment is I wish each book had been longer!

I absolutely love this series. I did see the ending coming in this one however but was still a great read. I didn't want to put it down and a good lead into the next book. The character development throughout each book is what keeps me coming back for more.

Of course a former Navy SEAL saves the day

But does he save the President this time? If you like Blake Jordan, you’ll love Ben Porter in False Assurances, Threat Bias, Subversive Addiction, Vital Deception and coming in May ‘23 Epic Injustice!!!

The plot is starting to get old… corrupt federal agent is working with a terrorist. I am still enjoying the writing style so I will read the last 3 books. This series and this book in particular would have benefitted from Ken Fite being more creative.
