'Reconstructing the Heart' is an honest look at what it means to be emotional in all the right ways. As the reader will learn, the “right” ways are determined by the ethical/judicial presuppositions and actions we use when deploying our emotions. Because of the abhorrent assumptions and influence of Greek philosophy, many Christians today are left without a proper understanding of what it means to be righteously and biblically emotional. Reconstructing the Heart is a technical and practical look at how to reclaim your emotions from the clutches of sin and bad theology. The reader will be challenged and motivated to apply the gospel of the Kingdom to all aspects of his being: mind, soul, and heart.

Ele resumiu em poucas páginas o que penso sobre maturidade emocional no meio cristão sem ser simplista. Muito do que ele fala aqui também já foi tema de palestra minha, e eu li o livro com uma identificação tão grande de pensamentos (e até um pouco no modo de falar) que a impressão que dá é que já tomei vários cafés com o autor pra conversar sobre o tema.

Livro curto, direto e muito bom.
Evidentemente, não concordo com absolutamente tudo que o autor fala, mas esse livro é um dos melhores que já li sobre emoções! Muito bom, mesmo.
Muitas coisas para refletir e com certeza, lerei de novo no futuro para voltar a essas reflexões.
Principalmente os primeiros capítulos, que são mais teóricos, são muito bem feitos, estudados.
Gostei muito e indico!
