Tragedy comes in all forms, and you never know how you’ll deal with it. Four friends have all dealt with their fair share of struggles. Dillion, an aspiring writer with writers block because of his brothers sudden death, Jesse the emotional stunted drink thanks to his boyfriend’s suicide, Ivan the abused victim just looking for a place to call home, and Leo the stubborn romantic trying to get his friends to open up, while keeping his issues close to his chest.
With these four friends, they avoid all their elephants in the room like a death card agreement between Dillion and Jesse, Ivan completely hoping his abusive lover with change or even Leo focusing on his friends problems instead of his own. Can these four friends learn to embrace and accept their own tragedy or will they be stuck in the past?
Thirst Trap is a humorous coming of age novel dealing with sexuality, tragedy, substance abuse, and the most beautiful insane friendships.
Zachary Ryan grew up in a black-and-white box in Maryland, before moving to Chicago to start a new life. There, he found that he was accepted for his misfit status—and learned that it’s perfectly normal to spend your twenties feeling lost and confused.
After a disastrous sexual encounter, Ryan stumbled on a group of true friends, or “soul cluster,” that he connected with. Through his writing, he hopes to help other broken souls out there find comfort amid the chaos.
Zach just keeps hitting me with all the feels and I am okay with that! He wrote a book of purely LGBTQ+ characters and it follows all 4 of their stories which include tragic occurrences and things that I would never wish upon anyone. They deal with all of these things and it shows so much emotional growth. Having people that you can count on to be there for you and help you through situations like this is why I like seeing that kind of friendship dynamic portrayed in a book because it promotes healthy relationships.
Speaking of healthy relationships, this book deals with a lot of unhealthy ones and shows growth in those areas too. I found myself wanting to reach out to the characters and help them because I could see some of the situations they were in and just wanted to get them out.
The book hits on a lot of serious topics and I think is a great read because it explores them and shows how the situations you are in don't define you as a person. Normally, I go for Zach's books because they are dramatic and sometimes a little smutty but this time, it was really cool to see another side of his writing and it showed me that he has a lot of range as a writer.
Thirst Trap is an interesting coming of age book with characters, Dillion, Jess, Ivan, and Leo, dealing with sexuality, tragedy and insane friendships.
‘Thirst Trap’ by Zachary Ryan is a book that follows the story of 4 friends namely Dillion, Ivan, Leo and Jesse. The book revolves around the feeling and experiences that LGBTQ Community has to face in their life. The four friends are struggling in their life and all are facing something in life one mourning over the loss of loved one, the other going through a suffocating relationship, Dillion who himself is coping up with the loss of his brother whereas Leo is trying to keep their friendship strong. We get to see how all the characters are trying their best to overcome the problems of life and hoping for the best days to come. We get to see how in reality to try to hide our problems which even makes things worse for us. Will these four friends overcome the problems that they are facing in their life? How will the story end for these four friends? To know more read ‘Thirst Trap’. I must say that the plot is unique and the characters are very well developed. Language is simple and lucid. I would surely recommend this book.
Thirst Trap is the story of four friends – “Misfits” by the world’s standards – Dillion, Jesse, Ivan, and Leo. This author created a pack of people that fall but rise back up, even if they do it all over again, they still keep rising. The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.
I liked the way the author talked about different relationships and the importance of friendship. Even though each one of the characters are different from each other the only thing that kept them from breaking was their friendship. I loved how complex the characters and the relationships were.
I did struggle in some places with the flow and that honestly had more to do with the editing than with the four POVs. This was really the only flaw or issue I had with the book. The Story itself was original, and uniquely laid out. I look forward to reading more books by Zachary Ryan.
First of all, I want to start this review with a couple of trigger warnings: domestic abuse, alcoholism, talk of self-harm, and suicide. Now that I have those out of the way, I can start my review.
This is a book about four friends – Jesse, Ivan, Leo, and Dillion – with four very real problems. These four men are as close as they will allow themselves to be to anyone. But is that closeness enough? Does having best friends really help when you have some major issues that you are dealing with, or does the fact that with friends you are able to hide the deepest part of yourself without being judged actually make things worse?
Leo and his husband Will decided that it was time to put some distance between them. There are some major issues in their marriage and they seem to be only getting worse. So calling a hold on everything and seeing if they are better off without the other is their last option before ending things permanently. Leo is having a hard time with it though, because he does not like seeing his husband go out with other people. Especially since he has not been able to go out with anyone yet in hopes that Will is coming back. What Leo does not understand though, is that he is one of the main reasons things are going so badly with him and his husband. Leo puts too much of his time and efforts into trying to fix his best friends and nowhere near enough time in his relationship. So what is it going to take for Leo to open his eyes once and for all?
Jesse is an alcoholic. It has not always been this way but Jesse finds it extremely hard to deal with his emotions about finding out that his boyfriend, Ian, had given up on life and decided dying was a better option. Since Jesse found Ian after he committed suicide, Jesse has shut his emotions off by drinking them away instead. Not only did Jesse lose Ian, but he feels he lost his first best friend as well when Ian died, his dad. Jesse’s dad did as Jesse did and shut himself off. He does not know how to help his son through this pain and grief so his only option is to not deal with it at all. What is it going to take for Jesse to realize that he is spiraling further and further in the rabbit hole?
Ivan has probably the most volatile of problems of all the friends. He is in an abusive relationship. Though he tries to hide it from everyone, no one is fooled. They have all seen the bruises. Each of them are concerned but Ivan denies everything. In Ivan’s mind, he feels he deserves the abuse. He messed up and cheated on his boyfriend so he feels that this is his punishment. How far will Ivan let the abuse go? Will he continue to deny that it is happening?
Last but not least is Dillion. Dillion is the “slut” of the group. He is the type who never lets anyone get close to him including his family. After losing his brother Wade to a sudden death, Dillion has decided he needs to be the man that his brother would have been. The only issue is, Dillion has lost who he is along the way. After meeting a guy named Dean, Dillion really begins to lose himself because for the first time in forever he has met someone who makes him want to feel. Now the question is, will Dillion allow those feelings to progress or will he push Dean away?
These four friends have very real problems that they are trying to ignore. Can they continue to live this way or will everything finally come to light and make each of them deal with the issues at hand?
This was a good read. I enjoyed reading the journey that each of these guys had to take to find their true selves in the end. It is not a pretty ride for them but if they can hang on it may just be worth it in the end.
NOTE: This book was provided by the author for the purpose of a review on Rainbow Book Reviews.
Four friends, who are all dealing (or not) with their own demons and issues, stumbling through life. The Thirst Trap wasn't what I expected. The blurb caught my interest, and I was more than a little intrigued by the dynamic and storyline. Would it be too busy with four main characters? Would it be cheesy? Would the characters need more development? These were just some of the questions I asked, and I have to say, no to all of them. It's about four friends who have their own baggage that they are carrying around and need to deal with, but each character is great and I didn't find them lacking. They are developed really well. So is the story. It was enjoyable, engrossing, emotional (be prepared), and I had a hard time putting it down. Each character has their time in the spotlight, and no one overshadows another. It's a story about growing up, coming of age, and so much more. You have to read this one for yourself. One-click 4 stars!
Friends aren't always easy or perfect...But they are yours! That's what counts!💖
The Crew:
Dillion – go-go dancer who makes too many trips to the health clinic to be healthy
Jesse – mourning bartender who drinks too much to dull the pain and memory of that day tattooed on his soul
Ivan – gym rat by day scared mouse by night, but who could blame him when a monster sleeps so close
Leo – papa bear who hides his feelings and heart so he can watch over his friends, at the risk of losing what’s most important
This is the cast of Thirst Trap, an angsty story about a group of four 20-somethings. Friends, who aren’t truly sure why they are friends at all. They get together once in a while for a drink, or meal, but they never share in-depth conversations, and feelings are never brought out. Everything about their relationship is superficial even though everyone who knows them knows they are a bound friend group. If you offend easily, this may not be the read for you. The guys can be offensive and overly sarcastic from time to time. Just FYI! 💖
There was so much angst in this story my momma hen reflexes and emotions were all over the place. I wanted to cuddle them one moment, hold a group painting therapy session the next, and break out some guided meditation in another. These young men had my heart in a heap! **sigh… It’s only because it ended with an HEA that I didn’t cluck and run around yelling, “THE SKY IS FALLING…THE SKY IS FALLING…” Because believe me, after the scene where they were all at Leo’s house getting ready to sit down to a steak dinner, when all hell broke loose, I was definitely tempted!🐔
I did struggle in some places with the flow and that honestly had more to do with the editing than with the four POVs, I kinda dug that. There were times when conversations and scenes jumped and it took a moment for me to catch up and realize the scene had moved on or someone else was speaking. This was really the only flaw or issue I had with the book. The Story itself was original, and uniquely laid out.
I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys a lot of emotional highs and lows in their reads. If you enjoy stories about people learning what it means to “adult” in an often times cruel and unforgiving world, where even the smallest moments of happiness have to be fought for, you will enjoy this one.
Possible triggers: mentions of depression, alcohol abuse, domestic abuse (on page) and suicide

The Book Thirst Trap is the story of four friends, Dillion, Jesse, Ivan, and Leo. The story starts with Dillion a writer with writer's block and struggling each day with his brother's death. Jesse who can't seem to stop drinking and is always depressed due to his boyfriend's death. Ivan the gym freak and a broken soul just like the rest, struggling with an abusing partner. Leo with a confused husband and searching for the spark to return.
Dillion and Jesse never talk about there feelings as they have a 'Death card' agreement due to Dillion's brother's death and Jesse's Boyfriend's suicide, due to which they avoid talking about their feelings. Ivan a stubborn one, avoiding every sign and every mistake of his abusive boyfriend. And Leo the Romantic one, struggling to keep the spark on with his husband in his 8 years of marriage, but instead of dealing with his own problems he is determined to solve others and ends up pushing everyone away. So The book is about how 4 friends dealing with their own problems without actually telling each other. They are so focused on not being the emotional one in the group ends up being lost until one of them had it enough.
So will others understand what Leo wants from them? Will the group start sharing with each other or they will keep pretending to have their life on track? Does it take only one step to move forward?
My Take:
I found this story not only emotional but also eye-opening. It's not easy to share your feeling with others, but taking one step at a time is what everyone needs to do. I liked the way the author has talked about different relationships and the importance of friendship. Even though each one of the characters are different from each other the only thing that kept them from breaking was their friendship. I loved the spicy comments shared between friends and the most I like the way the chapters are written with each character's point of view.
Overall the book is very interesting and with a great story. It's not only emotional but also amazing read. So read the book now and find your self in the roller-coaster along with the friends of Boystown.
The book is centred on theme ‘LGBT’. Initially I presumed it must be centred on the very same notion but it turned out nothing like that. Rather it offered me some grave insights on the situations that gay couples and individuals go through. It introduces me to a bunch of some gay friends, couples and individuals who are fighting their own battles in life and most importantly fighting for their individuality. _____ Dillon is an aspiring writer, according to him he is living like a coward who neither has this perfect muscular body nor the heart to reach out to his parents and tell them he is gay simply because he fears if his family will accept him or what if the society will judge him. He is portrayed as someone who constantly but secretly seeks validation from himself and from everyone around. _____ Ivan is married to Leo who couldn’t invest much into their relationship but no one can deny the fact they are soul mates. Ivan is someone who is so desperate to have someone who could love him like crazy, hence indulges in an affair with his gym trainer, jay, who happens to be a rude monster. It really disheartened me to bits learning how jay used to hurt Ivan by hitting him over and over again not just physically but mentally and emotionally as well. _____ I was filled with deep empathy for Ivan. Poor Ivan didn’t know Self-love was missing from his life. Jay' continuous hurt resulted in Ivans realisation of self-love. And sooner he learnt the fact that no one other than his own self could love him in this world. Thus he found back his lost self esteem. _____ The story doesn’t end here, there's so much to their journey one will be surprised to witness. The author’s smooth narrative style and expression is what I adored the most. Characterisation is well built indeed but I am little disappointed with introduction of too many characters in the book that at times diverted me from the plot. However, the messages he is trying to convey through this book are anyhow easily understandable. _____ My Ratings 3/5 _____ ~@geetanshimuttreja _____ #bookreviews #geetanshimuttreja #books
I admit that at first I wasn’t sure where this whole book was going to go. The characters felt like they were falling flat before my eyes. It wasn’t until halfway through the book that I felt the strength of these characters. I could feel that Zachary Ryan really cared about these characters and the story they were telling.
There are trigger warnings in this book. There are is a domestic abuse story line and also a story line that deals with suicide. So if these are sensitive topics for you, please do not read this book.
Ivan’s storyline felt very raw to me. The abuse made me so angry and I wanted to keep him from his situation. It was at times hard to read but I think that anything that deals with a topic such as this will be hard. It was done in a way that was informative but also allows you to see and feel what can happen in these sorts of relationships.
Dillion’s story felt a bit awkward at first but as Ryan dug into the real issues it got better. I also have to say that Dean is an absolute cutie and I love him.
Leo and Will gave us a taste of what it is to be married to your best friend young. There are times when we grow and change that it can be hard to manage something like a marriage. There were times when I really didn’t know what was going to happen, what was going to be the final product. I can’t say that I’m disappointed. It just took a bit, at times, too much bitching and moaning.
Jesse was the drunk of drunks, but I will say that his story was very dramatic for my taste, but it also brought to light a very serious subject. Do I agree with everything he did? No, but I think that his story fell into place with the others and all the character’s friendship and love for each other was portrayed well.
This book was well done and I would suggest it to some, but I don’t think that it’s for all readers. Also, I would definitely drink this one with more than a glass of wine.
Thirst Trap is a book about four friends who are always pushing to the limit to keep their blown-up life away from each other and avoid being judged. Dillon is a creative homosexual Thirst trap who is knocked by writer's block since the time his brother died. Ivan, a stubborn victim of abuse is getting it hard to accept that he is in a failed relationship. Jesse, a loyal drunk can't get over his boyfriend's death which has left him with questions and remembrances of him. Leo, a closed-hearted romantic is toiling to save his 8 years of marriage. They all have screwed up lives but doesn't want to open up about it with each other. All are making an effort to find their happy endings and attempting to bypass their realities. How they blab out their emotions for each other in their heart eventually is interesting to find out? Do they really mean what they say to each other? Will they try to sort out their vitalities or will they go on with being flawed and smash each other's hearts more? . This book by Zachary Ryan has been a completely distinct adventure from his High School Queens Trilogy. It was a serious novel and full of emotional ups and downs in an individual's life. All the buddies have their bit of tough moments and it might feel utopian to some but I believe this is how life is. Everyone is carrying their own harsh times in one or the other form. You will recognize some really painful realities of the gay community in the book. Some intense lines will make you stop, sit and stare at the wall to mull over them. I really was heartbroken when Dillon missed his Brother Wade. I was boiled when Jay injured Ivan and used him as his toyboy. I so wanted Leo and Will to sort out things and give their relationship an opportunity. I wanted Dillon to not take Dean oppositely and come out to the world with his writings. I could connect so well with all the characters and that's the beauty of Zachary Ryan's books. . . *BOOK HAS 18+ LANGUAGE*
Life doesn't always move on the same track. At times it starts drifting towards the path of tragedy, mishaps and continuous setbacks. Such is the life of the four friends Dillion,Jesse, Ivan and Leo who are trying to escape from the pitfalls they have unknowingly entered themselves into. All four of them were trying to put their troubles at the back seat and keep on continuing to live a normal life. Dillion was devastatingly heart-broken after the demise of his brother, the only support-pillar of his life. He found a to share his sorrow story and that is Jesse, who was emotionally shattered after his boyfriend had committed suicide. On the other hand Ivan was getting suppressed under the weight of his self-established relationship. And then the oldest among them,Leo was trying of convince himself that everything would be fine at the end, without trying to take any step from his side.
Thirst Trap by Zachary Ryan is a story of four gays who were exhausted with the atrocities of their life and desperately wishing for the better days. However with every other day, their problems seems to get enlarged. Instead of listening to each other problems, all of them were turning deaf ears even to thier own tragedies. None of them were in a mood to pay heed to the rapidly disturbing conditions, let alone finding an ultimate solution for them. The story continues with the description of how they started ammending their lives and putting forward their opinions more freely.
Dillion was trying to come out from his writers' block and Jesse was gathering the courage to read out that last letter from his dead boyfriend. At the same Ivan was determined to stand up for himself and Leo has started repairing his broken relation. Through this story, the author has tried to explain the challenges everyone has to face in their lives and how important it is to take up the charge of it. This is a simple story of four friends who set an example by their stong-bond friendship, unaffected by the troubles presented before them.
Book Name- Thirst Trap Author- Zachery Ryan Review- The Thirst Trap is a story about 4 gay friends. Though fictional the book takes us through the feelings of people from LGBTQ community which feels so real. Though the society norms declared a community for them and trying to fit in the society standards after reading this book one can truly understand they are no different than us. Everyone is fighting something in life, be it loss of a loved one, struggling to keep a marriage alive, trapped in a suffocating relationship and these feelings are dripping from every page of the book. Once begun the book has a smooth flow as it has fluid narration and takes us through an immensely beautiful journey of our 4 protagonist. The story line revolves around Dillion, Ivan, Leo and Jesse. Dillion is an aspiring writer who is coping up with the tragedy he went through, Ivan who is with Jay but in a kind of suffocating relationship, Jesse fighting the loss of this boyfriend who committed suicide and Leo who wants to keep the bonding among friends alive even though it means focusing on their problems instead of his own. The lives of these four friends are a great example of the damages life does to us and how damaged we all are in some or the other way. This book really gives out the message that in order to fit in and live the lie of a perfect life we lose our real selves. Different shades of life have been reflected through the lives of the protagonist and it is a complete page turner. It is must read for everyone as it has a unique concept with the essence of realism in it highlighting the harsh realities of life. The book features different phases of life which itself is good enough to grab the book. The characters of the book are well built and the narration style is amazing. The books is a great example of today's generation. I really liked reading this because it is having LGBT theme. As it's LGBT month it is seen that now days the notion is same and it gave insights on the situation which was there and what they go through.
There is strength between the lines, which is seen and observed by the readers. The book moves in a slow pace and has many new elements which combined together to make a great assest in comming times. It is been shown that the degree of friends and couples who fought in the book were mainly fighting to prove that they are also the part of society! . Society is a big word as society is the one who refuses to accept the these people and make them feel inferior. I have seen that many times it is seen these LGBT community has to go through alot before society comes ahead to accept them as a individual. I know now things have changed and times have improved but still the things are same and it has made a benchmark in the comming years. The story revolves around Dillon who is an aspiring writer, who is very much scared to face the public as they feel if the family will accept him or reject them. Now, comming to the second most important thing is that Ivan and Leo are married but still they are not able to invest so much in the relationship. . The story is a surprising tale which tells us more about what things one should keep in mind what not. There is alot of hustle and bustle in the story. Recommend to reader's that they should read it because this month is pride month. I believe that making this month totally dedicated to the book is something I would love. I am also thankful that previously I read carpet weaver which was a great creation that took me close to understand this one too.
▶Emotions penned down down well. Strong narration.
#INSIGHT: The novel "Thirst Trap" revolves around 4 gay friends; Dillion, Jesse, Ivan and Leo who are stuck in their own problems. Dillion is in a writer's block, Jesse is grieving his boyfriend's suicide, Ivan is in an abusive relationship and Leo is struggling to save his marriage. Amidst all this what doesn't change is their friendship and a hope that everything will be fine soon.
#REVIEW: Thirst Trap is all about tragedies and how friendship overpowers it. The storyline was based on LGBTQ community. The protagonists of the novel had one thing in common which was denial of their own problems. They used to shut each other out of their own problems not showing how vulnerable they were from inside. The novel shows how their friendship helps them overcome their problems. The author has done a commendable job in bringing out the feelings of each character. The protagonists were given their own space and the story moved smoothly.
#STRENGTH: I found the title of the book very apt. The cover page complemented the content well. I was the most impressed with the writing style of the author. The narration was not just from one protagonist but all four of them which made it unique in its own way.
#WEAKNESS: I found a few grammatical mistakes and typos here and there, the biggest one being the spelling of protagonist's name. Its Dillon in most of the places as opposed to Dillion as mentioned in the blurb.
#TARGET READERS: Newbies searching for a light read.

⭕Thirst Trap is a bizarre book which is written by Zachary Ryan. There are four friends in the saga who are gay in terms of their gender. Dillion, Jesse, Ivan and Leo.
⭕Each of them had some stories in their life.
⭕Dillion was a stressed and heart broken guy due to his brother's death. He had a relationship with marcus. He also had a passion to write, and he performed in a gay bar.
⭕Jesse have a asunder problems as he was staunch drunker because his boyfriend had committed suicide and he couldn't get over it.
⭕Leo married to will and worked hard to save his 8 years marriage relationship.
⭕Ivan the abused victim just looking for a place to call home.
⚡What they all wanted in their life? ⚡What are their aims in the life.
⚡To know about the story of these four go and grab the book.
⭕Book cover is good and perfectly matched with the story. The narration is up to the mark with understandable language.
⭕The saga is really saying deep about the life. It shows a different side of our culture. This is the second book for me which is related to LGBT community. The author is brave enough and smart to Express his thoughts without any problem
The story of the book revolves around four friends Dillion, Jesse, Ivan and Leo. Here, we will witness the journey of four different persons. All these four peoples were living a simple life until something struck in their life and changed everything. Some scenes in the book are very painful that will make you cry. First we will find about the lives of four persons what happened to them.
Dillion is a writer whose life after his brothers death. Jese is an alcoholic he chooses the way after his boyfriend suicide. Ivan is the person whom his lover used him as a toy and an abused victim of it. While Leo keeps the secrets to his heart and never shares it. Four persons are very close to each other with the things that happened in their life. Their life is changed, and they don't know what will happen next. Will they be able to change their lives? Book is filled with emotions and cover a different topic that creates a deep impact on the world. Read this amazing journey to witness the journey if four friends. I like the concept and the storyline how the characters are shown perfectly. 56 chapters mentioned in the book says every small thing why this book one should pick.
This is the third book that I have read by Zachary Ryan and as usual I loved it. Ivan, Leo, Jesse and Dillon, all were so relatable characters that they leave an impression behind on you. I absolutely adored the way all the different stories hot inter twined. Each and everyone is struggling with their demons but still there is a sliver if a hope which I liked a lot. I loved the LGBTQIA aspect and would re read in the pride month. Dillon's writer's block due to his brother's death was very relatable to me. The insecurities of Jay which he thrusts over Ivan is very well executed ( I was little skeptical about this episode but I was pleasantly surprised). Leo is still better off and Jesse is like any of us, drunk over his boyfriend's untimely death ( suicide). Even subsidiary characters like Alana were well developed. I like the format if books when each chapter give you a different perspective from a different character. The narration was easy flowing with lucid language. Overall I liked the book.

Author Has Narrated The Story Very Nicely And Show All The Things Properly And Doesn't Given Anything Without A Reason.
The Plot And Character Of The Book Is Also Developed Very Well And The Story Is Also Very Fast Pace And At A Same Time Make You Pause At Some Moment.
The Cover Of The Book Is Also Highlight For Me. It Look Very Amazing.Overall It's An Amazing Read And I Highly Recommend This To All My Fellow Readers. . . . Rating 4.5/5
Four damaged young gay friends stumbling through life
Four young gay friends stumbling through years of dysfunctional living. A lover's suicide, a brother's death, both occurred in the past, but the way the men deal (or really, don't deal with them) are holding the tragedies in the present. A man in a toxic relationship with a physical abuser and a married man paying more attention to his friends' problems than his husband. All four main characters are well fleshed out. The supporting characters are shown with depth also. I liked that it was not a Harlequin style book. Each man needs to own his issues and stop evading the causes. The only issue I had with the plot is that all 4 men start to get a handle on the things that are ruining their present at roughly the same time. Not realistic, but not a fatal flaw either.
I look forward to reading more books by this author.

Human life is never as easy as it may seem to many. They have their problems and literary writings that show these problems boldly and vividly are the ones that sound realistic and believable. Gone are the times when people looked for fairy tales and were happy seeing the fantasy they portrayed. As time has changed, people prefer to see the reality as it is. The attempt to bring reality as it is has been done by Zachary Ryan in his book, “Thirst Trap”. The author brings men from different walks of life who are going through their respective emotional traumas as the blurb mentions. The most appreciable thing about the book is the reality being presented by the author as it is. This presentation of the reality is bound to win the heart of the reader and the plot progress is also remarkable. The grown up group of people are likely to find this work appealing who believe that life is not a bed of roses after all.
Review - A fantastic story of four friends named Dillion, Jesse, Ivan and Leo. They got some real problems. Leo has problems in her marriage and seems to be getting worse. Jesse is an alcoholic, it wasn’t like that always. She become alcoholic after her boyfriend Ian, committed suicide. On the other side Ivan was having an abusive relationship, but he tries to hide it with others. The last one, Dillion is the type who never gets close to anyone apart from his family. The book has domestic abuse, alcoholism, talk of self-harm and suicide. The writing style of the author is commendable and the language of the book is pretty amazing. The narration is also quite good.I loved the plot of the story. The cover and the title of the book is apt to the theme of the story. Overall, I loved it and recommend everyone to read it.
It's just been some days that I have read the book "High School Queens" by the same author Zachary Rayn. This book too "Thirst Trap" is written by Zachary Ryan . My hope were so high to get the best storyline in this book as well and the author didn't fail and all let my hope die . The book holds an amazing story line as the earlier one . The story here is about four guys who are stuck in their own dilemmas of life . They all have their flaws and are in wants and needs and Desires of their own . They are gay. Even though , they all are facing the worst situations of their own lives , yet they do not fail to enjoy their life . The story line and the struggle in it is written perfectly . The situations are defined precisely . I loved reading this book and recommending all the books from the author to everyone. A very nice read . Keep up your work . I loved reading your books.
We all are fighting our own demons in one way or the other. Life is not a humdrum of affairs and it depends on one's outlook and approach what you get out of it
The story is of four contrasting individuals who all have their fair bit of struggles and now trying hard to live a normal, peaceful life. In more than one way, story bears a close proximity to movies like ' Zindagi Milegi Na Dobara' and a few other.
The way the tale is narrated deserves a special mention. Though at some point, it gets entangled but overall, the flow is smooth. I wish author has given due care to editing too as much as he did to cover.
Still, a read which helps one to rejuvenate and provides a learning curve
I can say that this book is socially relevant.we should understand that loving the same species is not the crime they are humans too. There are 4 friends billion he is having writer block and struggling to come out of it, Jesse is alcoholic due to loss of his boyfriend suicide. Ivan and Leo are soul mates Ivan have extra affair they all come together and the journey is changed their life .they all wanted to do fight more and decided to take a step into new life .jow they broken barriers of thoughts Language is easy and fleshy. Cover page of the book is creative There are a few grammatical errors. The concept of the story is inspiring and innovative and the thoughts of them are realistic. I really like the character of Leo, he is so good and selfless person.
If you need a group of friends story with all the feels, this is IT. I was instantly immersed in the world this group of four exists in and while it's really rough, it's also really REAL.
The whole ride was a great example to me of 'this too shall pass'. When you're in it, it feels impossible, but it always ends. Watching them all get their lives together around the same time was like taking a deep breath after holding it underwater. So good.
This is the 2nd book I've read written by Zachary Ryan; he has done a great job at writing a good book; I will definitely be reading more of his books.
The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.
I loved the characters.
