Mara Engle is not paranoid but seeing the same man in the coffee shop over and over . But when he starts showing up everywhere she is nothing that anyone tells her will calm her fears . The one night he shows up on her balcony there is only one man she can call and she left him ten years ago. When she hears his voice memories and feelings start to resurface. With the help of the man she left behind they will be able to get to the bottom of the man stalking Mara . Will they be able to get back to feelings they have and will the stalker ever be caught .
Mara and Shay oh my what can you say about these two . Mara is a feisty woman who has been emotional shaken by a stalker . She is scared but wants to find out who is stalking her . We actually see her grow up when she is on run with Shay . Which I loved it shows how much growth you can do even under stress . Shay is the strong silent type, an ex military hard shelled man but when the woman he never stopped loving even after their divorce . is in trouble he is there to help her . Yes ladies he is all alpha man but he is also a little tortured with the feelings for his ex wife. I truly liked these two and they just got better at the end.
This is a novella that has mystery and intrigue but also a slow burning romance . The author takes us on a roller coaster ride until the big climatic ending . the characters are well written and the story flows very well . You can really feel the tension in the characters and you really want to find out who the stalker is . Trust me i was on the edge of my seat most of the time . Really wanted to know who the stalker was because he was one scary dude . I was also hoping for Shay and Mara and that they would get a romance going . The ending will kick you in the butt and make you sigh with happiness at the same time . So if you want a novella that you can read on a snowy evening check out this book you will be surprised how much you get sucked in .

It was great!
I totally LOVED this story! The suspense was steady and believeable, and I love how the hero and heroine got their second chance, and the way it was done... quite touching! And the surprise at the end with the villain was totally unexpected! A very moving, satisfying story with great characters. I highly recommend this!

He knows that something is wrong from her message and he needs to get to the woman that he still loves after so long. He realizes how much danger she is in and takes her with him to keep her safe. However, nothing that he does keeps her safe enough.
Her stalker continually finds her. How will she ever be able to live a normal life again? Why is she being stalked? What will make her stalker go away? A page turner that will keep you flipping through the pages until the end.

She wasn't crazy but how could she make them understand? Even her brother isn't really sure she's all there. A stalker?? Really??!! Who's lifetime movie is this, how can she get the police to know it's real. This stalker makes he move that has her making a call to the one man she never thought she would. It's a book that will have your ears ringing, breath stuttering, hairs on the back of your neck standing tall. This author brings stalking to your face, if only I had a hunk to run to that could make it all better. It's a tale that has been told, but not like this. It's a clean second chance love story that you wouldn't wish on your enemy. It's finding home when you didn't know you were looking. When your life is in jeopardy all the other stuff just falls away and the truth rises. I absolutely loved it and dared everyone in my house to disturb me. I shouldn't have read it on a the dark cold winter night in Chicago though.

This is a well-written thrill ride that will keep you on the edge of your seat. It's so hard to put down, you may just read it all in one night. Everyone around Mara thinks she is being paranoid, seeing the same creepy man at her favorite coffee bar, at her second favorite coffee bar, at her job, even just parked near her car. But she knows the truth. She knows she is being stalked. What's a single girl to do for protection when she finally sees disturbing things at her own apartment sanctuary? She calls her Marine ex-husband on the hopes he still has a small care for her. After reading this book, I swore I saw her stalker! It beings a delicious unease to the reader that can only be captured by masterful storytelling. Looking for a little thrill this holiday? Grab this book...you'll thank me for it!

A great quick read.
Mara saw him everywhere at first she thought it was a coincidence at first, but then he was at her workplace, watching her it couldn’t be a chance he was looking for her, intimidating her. Even though nobody took her fears seriously she knew he was after her but she didn’t know why.
She had been estranged from her husband for ten years, but when she needed safety his was the first person she called. Shay was with her as fast as he could possibly be. He was there for her when she most needed him. He believed her and did everything in his power to keep her safe.
The twists sneak up on you and take you through many emotions.

There need to be more stories on issues like this.
Regardless of how one is targeted by a predator the danger is real. Even without so many high tech tools. Being watched, harassed and followed by a psychopath is a feeling like no other. Having the perfect person from your past to help a seemingly impossible miracle. It shouldn't take so much proof to gain laws protection. Even when finally safe the suffering and fear are never truly gone. Safety after such horrible experience leaves lasting damage.😢💜

I loved this page-turner romantic suspense story. The characters are well developed, lovable, and realistic. The storyline is well written and interesting, with a stalker, danger, family issues, intrigue, an ex-husband, and a second chance for romance. This short story is fast-paced and had me on the edge of my seat, captivated by this page-turner.

This is the 3rd book I've read written by Bree Lewandowski; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I can’t wait to read more of her books.
The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.

Romantic Suspense has NEVER looked Sooo Good!
I found this to be a superb storyline that grabs you right from the start keeping you engrossed and on edge throughout the whole book!
Great characters that will keep your interest extremely well.
The chemistry, sweetness, and twists in plot kept things interesting.
Add in drama and steamy passion and you have a good read.

Shattered is a page-turning, bone chilling novel. The suspense grabs you immediately as Mara realizes she's not being paranoid- she is being stalked. Not knowing by who or why she turns to her ex-husband for protection. The pair encounter twist and turns as Mara's fear jumps off the pages- it seems she isn't safe anywhere. Part thriller, part second chance romance this masterful story is hard to put down.

SHATTERED is a novella that I read as a "Quirky Blind Date With a Book" read so had no idea what it was that I was getting into.
It was a very quick story that I read in one sitting because I HAD TO find out what was happening. I had no clue if this was paranormal, suspense, or romance with a twist. It's the type of story that the "why is this happening" is rigggghhhht there, yet so far away. A real page turner.

What a story! This book grabs you from the start and leads you down a dark twisted path that leaves you breathless in the end. I could not put it down! Shattered is one book I am glad I took the time to read. The characters are amazing and sweep you in so deeply you swear you are part of them. I was caught up so much I never saw the end coming! Wow what a book!

This was definitely a suspenseful thriller. Mara is being stalked and ends up calling her ex husband for help, however her stalker finds her no matter where she goes. Her ex husband is there to help her but will he be able to save her??? I couldn't put this book down and wasn't expecting the twist. I really enjoyed this story and look forward to more by this author.

This was a great, quick sweet read that has great suspend and a few twists you don't see coming. I love how strong and silent Shay is. And how Mara reacts to most of the situations that come up. It made her more realistic. I really enjoyed the chemistry that was written for this characters even with this story being a sweet one. I hope that a secondary character gets his own story.

Absolutely loved this book. Mara has come to realize she has a stalker. And the police won't help so she turns to the only person she could think of...Shay! Her ex and he rushes to her aid no questions asked. Super suspenseful with twists and turns to keep you reading to the very end. I really loved the character's!

This is the first book I've read from Bree Lewandowski and I was not disappointed. Suspense, chemistry, trying to figure out the bad guys angle, make for a great book! Mara has a stalker and ends up calling her ex-husband who happens to be ex-marine to help her out. This was a great story, with suspense, action and a little hotness mixed in.

What a great suspense story.mara thinks she's loosing it like her mom. Everywhere she goes there's this weird guy he's stalking her. Her brother suggests she call her ex husband who has a military background and that's what she does. Lots of surprises.

I absolutely loved this book and was honored to have been able to read and review. It was such a phenomenal read and had amazing characters as well as an amazing story line. I just could not get enough of it and once I started reading it I could not put it down. I recommend that you read it.

The story sucked me in and kept me enthralled till the last page. While the writing did jump around a little it was still a great thriller with a very clever stalker who seems to have the ability to make everyone believe that Mara is imaging being followed. Highly recommend

This is a super suspenseful thriller. Mara's story is definitely a page turner. It was hard to put down. I never saw the twist coming until I was in the middle of its explanation.

This was a wonderful book. It didn't seem rushed. This was sweet and steamy, full of romance and passion with great characters that were interesting enough to draw you in.
