Psycho was a black and white horror comic that put out issues from 1970 to 1975. I guess they're best known for creating the character "The Heap" and for extending Shelley's "Frankenstein" to include stories of Dr. Frankenstein becoming a monster himself.
Gwandanaland Comics (the publisher of this book) discovered that the original publisher of Psycho (and related titles) did not renew their copyright, so they scanned and put together several volumes of these comic book reprints. Volume 1 of Psycho reprints the first four issues.
The stories are pretty typical for the genre - witches, demons, zombies, and a couple of stories set in outer space - but nothing really stands out. Then again I didn't buy this for the stories, I picked it up for the artwork, hoping to discover a new artist with a distinctive style to follow and learn from.
Unfortunately, I didn't find anything that caught my interest.
Oh well ... moving along!
