If you enjoy eating at The Melting Pot, but can't justify the price for the experience, then this is the book you need to create a fondue night at home.

I found several of the standard menu options and some of the special occasion offerings, although some of them have slightly different names. This would make a nice date night activity with another couple and paired with some fun board games. You can opt to make this a full meal, or just an appetizer and/or dessert. There are also enough variations to make this a repeat dinner date now and then.

When trying to research fondue recipes I noticed what was out there was pretty repetitive and basic. Just not a lot of variety. This book has tons of delicious looking fondue in unique flavors (ummm...hello white chocolate apple pie fondue) that do not seem too terribly hard to put together. I'm excited to give these a try.

I did take away a star because there was a rather large section on salads which is not what I want in a fondue book.

A great way to have some Melting Pot at home. Everything comes out authentic. Don't be surprised how long it takes you just to cut stuff up though. I would recommend using pinch bowls as they do in the restaurant if you are planning on serving a meal for people or it takes some time to get the fondue together.

My only criticism is that I wish they would make more volumes. Some of these aren't on the menu anymore and I would love recipes for the special ones as well. I would buy a book from them of recipes for their drinks alone!
