My hopes are big. My expectations are bigger. But I have nothing to lose until I move in with Nick.
I am Annabel, and this is my Hollywood story . . .
The only pleasure I got from life in the Netherlands, I found in romance books. Those books, combined with a persistent desire to change my destiny, compelled me to move to Los Angeles and chase an unbelievable notion that has turned into my life’s ambition. But like all dreams, it will devastate me if I fail. It’s one of the oldest stories in the annals of Hollywood history. I want to meet my celebrity crush. And make him mine.
Nick thinks I’m silly, foolhardy, tenacious, yet he knows my mission won’t get far. That is until it does. Then he decides to give chase, but to what end? Instead of capturing me with his charm and compassion, he becomes enthralled himself.
On top of that, I’m too far gone to see the tropes for the trees. By the time I realize love is what makes our bond special, I may be too late to salvage even friendship.

Dina Haynes likes to highlight life’s journey in her novels as she forces the heroes and heroines to earn their happily ever after. Think of her stories as the stack of pastrami between two pieces of rye. She loves the enjoyment of watching her characters’ lives unfold one delicious slice at a time.
In case you haven’t guessed, she’s a foodie with a NY heart living in LA. Her other interests include reading, coffee, storybook houses, angry Chihuahuas, and wine tasting, only to name a few. She’d love to hear from you.
It was a good book but I just didn't connect with the characters, they were all horrible people. All selfish and just not good human beings.
Coming from divorcing a psycho and stalker how is she ok with stalking herself? Then making decisions to hurt people brings you down to their level or worse because you should know better.
Then her act with her boss, was just low. I hate to say this, but she got what she deserved that night.
Then stringing Nick along, just selfish.
Then her friend Deanna who was no friend at all, why, this book was filled with horrible people.
At the end I'm happy about the HEA not because Bel deserved it but because Nick deserved it.
Honestly if he would have fallen in love with someone else, I would have been happy for him.

I did enjoy the story and in the beginning I felt sorry for Bel. But as the story progressed, I started to not like her as she was becoming the person I cannot stand. She started off as an innocent, naïve woman who had bad taste in men. She was so star struck for Jordan, that she couldn’t see what she had right in front of her face. But eventually she turned into the type of person who she was trying to warn Jordan about. She was becoming that woman.
Nick is a man who never truly felt like he amounted to anything (according to his mom). He moved from a small town in Missouri to LA and although he didn’t want to like Bel, he couldn’t help but be attracted to her. He kissed her a few times and thought she would realize how he felt about her, but in reality, she couldn’t see anything past Jordan.
In the end, Bel finally realized what she wanted to do and went after her dreams. Nick made it as an actor and had actually moved in with Deanna who was a friend of Bel’s , but as much as Bel had been taken in by Jordan, Nick was still into Bel and never really loved Deanna. Of course there is a HEA, but it took a year apart from each other for both of them to realize what they really wanted.
This is the first book I have read by Dina Haynes and I will definitely be going to look for other books as I was taken in by this story and read it in one sitting!
