“YOU’RE IN BIG TROUBLE, DOLL”

The little hacker stole from the Family--hundred fifty grand.
We Tacones don’t take kindly to thieves.
Not even when they come in a package as cute as hers.
Not even after she shows me how high her freak flag flies.
Now there will be hell to pay for my hot geek.
And I’m the one coming to collect.
But when she ends up in jail for the transaction I ordered her to make
I decide to bail her out. Because she’s a wildfire.
A force of nature too bright to be put out.
And I don’t need the money.
I’d rather have her.

I almost laugh. Whips and chains are this girl’s roses and chocolate. And that’s just fine by me.

Paolo and Caitlin’s story was a wild ending to the Vegas Underground series. Caitlin is a hacker with some kinky needs and a dark past that influences her present a bit. Paolo is the unemotional enforcer of the Tacone siblings. So when he goes to shakedown Caitlin he gets way way more than he bargained for. Ok. Maybe he kind of knew what he was getting into, but Caitlin is a wild card. Hehe, you like that play on the title right?

Anyway. This one is over the top, as most of the series is, but it’s also sweet and emotional as well. There is plenty of heat. We catch up with a few past characters, and it’s just a great read in general.

I’m so sad that this series is over. I’ve fallen in love with the majority of the Tacone family, and I’m seriously going to miss them. Hopefully they make some appearances in the Bratva spin-off.

End of the series 😭
I truly felt like a part of this mafia family and now everyone has told thier stories and I feel as if they are leaving me.
Renee, please come up with the next generation as well🙏

The story was somewhat mysterious and romantic. Paolo is the guy who don't do girlfriends but one look at Caitlin who has hacked money from Bellissimo and he is a goner. They both come into a sexual arrangements to pay back the money.
That arrangements does nothing except making them fall for each other.

Caitlin acts as a crazy person to hide her emotion and real face from the world but Paolo is the only one who knows about her act in the first glance. She is emotionally unavailable so when she found out she's pregnant she ran away to avoid everything but our Paolo is not only alpha male but when he discovers his feelings for Caitlin he does every possible thing to make her believe in his love.

I loved the plotting and character building.
Story too is a good combination of all the factors.

Atleast I am able to finish one of the so many series I've stared.

Last book of the series and the last of the brothers to find love. Can he? Paolo's the one who was considered the enforcer of the mob brothers. With the brothers closing up shop there isn't much for him to do but when a call comes in that someone has been stealing from their casino it's up to Paolo to get the money back. Nobody steals from the mafia and gets away with it.

Caitlin is almost done with college and her younger brother is just getting started. They had things rough as kids. Dad disappeared and assumed dead by the Irish mafia. Caitlin and little brother were split up in foster care. He got lucky and was adopted while she wasn't lucky at all except that her dad had just gotten her started on hacking. Who best to steal from and get her revenge but the Irish mafia casino. It went to good use... putting both herself and her brother through college until she was found out but the money stopped coming in.

Caitlin has a few mental health problems and used sex and pain to hold herself together and Paolo wants to cause her pain. He gives her what she wants and she has to steal the money elsewhere to pay the debt back.

We have jail time ahead, FBI and seems the dead isn't really dead.

More than I expected!

Story: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Trope: captive
Angst: 😱😱😱😱
Smexy: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

This book was not what I expected when I asked for a nerdy girl/mafia rec in my reading group - it was so much more! The storyline and character development is phenomenal and was very interesting. Dissociative disorder is not something you read about every day. The chemistry between the two MCs is off the chain and nearly lit my kindle on fire, lol. What I think I liked the most was the growth the two of them had with the help of the other ❤. I truly enjoyed this!

The end is finally here the lastttt brotherrr!!!! Paolo!!! Ive been dying for this story and it did not disappoint!!!

Caitlin is a hacker with a taste of darkish kinks thanks to her disorder which makes her have a out of moment moment and she zones out or leaves her body, only way she can cope is pain and pleasure. She knows what she's doing when she takes revenge and steals money from the Tacone family. What Paolo gets when he meets Caitlin is a heck of a surprise since no one has ever surprised him like she did she wasn't scared she something else. And that's how their wired relationship started. Now Paolo has a job for his crazy little hacker.. get his money back or else.. well he never threatened her with the or else 🤣🤣🤣 maybe just the words lol. There are some twist and turns that you probably can guess before it happens. If not your in for a surprise!!

I love both MC their sexy crazy banter, the steamy sex it wasn't a instalove but a slow insta relationship in my mind they both had walls but it was picked apart with each moment. Even when they were separated he still had her back taking care of people who tried to take advantage of her or use her and never doubted her when some shit hit the fan.

Bless Paolo for beating that advisors ass.. i really didn't need to hear she had a past with the guy.

And we are getting a new series bravta!!! I wonder what it shall bring us!!

Low angst, No ow/om drama, drama, no cheating, slight secondary charas, sexy times, no virgins (no manwhores)

Recommend- yes

Wow I am flashed with so much soft sweetness of a big burly bad guy which is being distributed bang hard and erotic relentlessly and oh so delicious.

This couple is perfect, a bit made between haven and hell with a good humor and no boundaries.

Oh and even if he is a man of a few words he hammered it down with his declaration of love for his woman. Best ever!!!

I am so glad I discovered this series! I came late to the party (Dead Man's Hand) so I have the previous books to indulge in. Paolo is the enforcer for his family, the heavy who leans on people to get what he wants. Even though they are mostly legit now, he has to address the hacker chic who has stole money from the family. Caitlin went into the money siphoning to get revenge for her dad's murder at the hands of the Tacones. When Paolo shows up, she isn't sure if she is going to die. Luckily for her, she doesn't respond to fear the way other do. Surprised by Caitlin's behavior, Paolo goes about things and wishes he could take them back later. This is a very intense ride emotionally and so incredibly well written. I just couldn't bring myself to put it down! Caitlin's needs matching Paolo's takes him by surprise. Her deeper feelings, her need for Paolo emotionally does the same to Caitlin. I loved the two of them together, how he takes care of her. While this is the end of the Vegas Underground series, I can't wait to see what Ms Rose has in store for us with the Bratva!

Caitlin knew the Tacone Family would be after her after hacking into their accounts. Paolo was sent to take care of the hacker. There was something about this one. He couldn’t put his finger on it but he knew she was his kind of crazy. Their first meet was hot and steamy but will he be able to protector.

We start right after Paolo got the order to handling the hacker and looked at her picture. You know Paolo is going to fall hard just like the other’s did. He think he is so tough and immune to Caitlin’s charm but he is weak. For Cait, she has a lot that is going on for her. A few surprises but all in all, a hot mob lover that knows what she needs all the time. I love that we finally found someone for Paolo that not only can break through to his soft side but can match him in the bedroom and all over. And WOW is this some serious play. I am truly sad to see the end of the series. I am going to miss them. I am looking forward to the next series though.

I have enjoyed this series since the beginning but for some reason, I did not connect with this story or the characters. This story is very fast-paced, more so than the others felt, and I had a hard time understanding the quirks of the characters. Caitlyn was interesting, to say the least. I liked Paulo a lot more than I liked her, even though I was very confused as to how he understood what was going on with her and why she was the way that she was. I struggled at times to stay engaged in the story but had to finish the book because I had read the entire series.

The premise of the story was good but it still seemed unplausible at times. Still a very good series. Even though this story wasn't my favorite, I appreciate the author and all her hard work.

The final book in the "Vegas Underground" series. I believe this one is the best one of the series yet. I enjoyed reading and Caitlin and Paolo were the hacker meet enforcer.
Caitlin is in college for Computer Science and teaches Dance cardio. She is also a self-taught hacker. Caitlin has issues where she blanks out with stress, where she hides within herself. Caitlin has taken revenge on the ones who killed her dad.
Paolo Talcone is the enforcer for the Talcone mafia in Chicago. He has the job to track down the hacker that stole money from them. But then he sees her in person. She's an enigma to him.

There are bondage and pain, be warned this consensual is not forced. There is kidnapping, hot filthy sex, twists, and manipulation. And a HEA.

I received an ARC, from the author, for my honest review.

Sensational Dom/sub mafia romance!

"Her freak flag is flying high."

"Obedient, responsive, crazy little thing. I am in love."

Wow - this story hits the ground running and never lets up! In the very first minute after they meet, these two are already sexually involved, and they go from zero to sixty in record time. But it's really done well, with complete sympathy for Caitlin and what she's up against, as well as for Paolo and his mission. This is all in just the first ten percent of the book, and I was completely hooked.

"This beautiful trainwreck is wrecking me."

"Whips and chains are this girl’s roses and chocolate."

Caitlin is wildly unpredictable and disarmingly fun, which knocks Paolo off his game and has him questioning just about everything. The author does an amazing job of explaining why Caitlin is the way she is, grounding her with a solid backstory and a strong sense of self despite the horrific hand life has dealt her.

There's quite a bit of drama and suspense outside of their relationship insofar as their interactions with other people, but most of the drama is between these two complete opposites who just happen to have found their perfect match in each other.

"It’s when I’m away from him I realize none of this is safe, sane or consensual."

The basis of their physical relationship is standard BDSM fare, but safe, sane, and consensual take on a whole new meaning here. Because we're given an omniscient view through both main characters' first-person POV narrative, we know that everything is as it should be even when the characters don't. Caitlin doesn't feel safe - she really doesn't want to - but we know that she is safe with Paolo. Caitlin doesn't quite appear to be sane to Paolo, but we know from her POV that she really is. It's breaking all the rules, but in the best possible way and with complete - even when unacknowledged - trust in each other. That alone sets this book apart from every other Dom/sub romance I've read.

As the final Tacone story, it's a gem, quite possibly the best of the series. The surprise twist at the end brought satisfying closure, and their unconventional communication methods were refreshing and, at times, hilarious. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Wild Card by Renee Rose is a fast paced, steamy romance set in the world of the Mafia. Caitlin isn’t your usual main character, having a dis-associative disorder, being a hacker extraordinaire and stealing thousands from the Mafia to pay for her and her brother college tuition, she is the epitome of hot mess! Having ‘out of body’ experiences when she is stressed, she uses sex as a way to counteract that and my are them some steamy sex scenes between her and Mafia brother, Paolo Tacone whose family Caitlin stole the money from.

From the beginning this story starts off with a bang with us quickly finding out why Caitlin stole the money as well as Paolo’s role in his family and why he wants the money back. Straight away there is chemistry between the two main characters which flows from beginning to end in the book. There are moments of sarcasm, beautifully put together declarations of love and some great wit!
Paolo Tacone is a hot character to read about, he knows what he wants, he is a businessman and heaven help anyone that tries to hurt Caitlin. There is also a small vulnerability about him which we see throughout the book which was great to read about and certainly made him more human and relatable.

This was a fast read for me, it has the old adage of having a quick story-line with a HEA whilst having some obstacles thrown in the way and some sexy BDSM scenes which many readers will enjoy.

If you want to while away an afternoon then I would recommend this book.

ARC received for a fair and honest review.

Renee Rose has made me a lover of mafia romance with the Vegas Underground series of books. I have enjoyed reading about the women who have brought the Tacone men to their knees! Each story has been unique and a standalone, but related through the family ties.
Although Paolo did not play much of a role in the other books, he is very much involved in the family business and drama. He finally meets his match when he is sent to deal with the woman who has stolen money from the family’s casino. This hacker, Caitlin, is the perfect submissive masochist to Paolo’s dominant but untapped sadist. The chemistry between the characters is very hot, and may seem like it is only about sex at first. It becomes obvious that Caitlin uses sex and pain as a way to stay grounded in reality (or to come back into her body when she shuts down from fear or other overwhelming emotions). As a man used to being in control, Paolo finds that he can help her deal with these issues. I found it interesting to see aspects of BDSM used in therapeutic ways, rather than strictly for pleasure and sexual release. These exchanges build the foundation for their relationship and help them to trust one another. The story really delved deep into Caitlin’s unusual coping mechanisms in a way that made sense - and not just a plot device to introduce sex between the characters. It was still hot though! Well done!

I received this book free from the author for my honest review. Since I rely heavily on reviews to make decisions about reading choices and purchases, I will never lie or over exaggerate my opinion. There is nothing worse than seeing a bunch of 5 star reviews and realizing the book is full of errors or just plain bad and not worth my hard earned money!

Paolo Tacone is the enforcer for the Tacone Mafia family, except now they are going legitimate, so his job has slowed down significantly...but there is a small problem with 1/5 cent of every dollar taken in by the Bellisimo Casino in Las Vegas going to an unknown off-shore account. It was investigated and because nobody steals from the Tacone family, Paolo was sent to handle the hacker. The hacker is a young woman, currently in school getting her PhD in computer science, who augments her income to pay rent and food by teaching cardio dance classes, and pays tuition for her younger brother and herself with a siphon from the casino owned by the Tacone's. The siphon has been inactive for two weeks, so she knows it's just a matter of time before she is dead...just like her father, killed by the mob...On getting home one evening from her Cardio Dance class, she sees Paolo in her living room and freaks...but she has a dissociative disorder and zones out whenever under severe stress...like Paolo...but you will need to read this steamy story to see how the young hacker wins over the most staid of the Tacones...who decides he's not going to let her go...I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

We are with the Tacone family again, and sadly, for the last time 😩. We’re with Paolo, the enforcer of the family, and he’s paying a visit to the hacker that stole money from the families casino in Vegas. And let’s just say it doesn’t go as he expected. Caitlyn, who has her issues, gets her crazy on, and the two of them spend quite an interesting few days together while she hacks her way to returning his money. It was as if they were practically made for each other, having the same proclivities toward how they liked to “get their groove on” so to speak (really trying to make sure my review gets put through 😂). And even with all the crazy, with the walls they didn’t let completely come down, and not to mention some outside sources, these two still found a way to be themselves and what they each needed, and what the other needed them to be. I hope that made sense. I don’t want to give everything away. I totally loved this and don’t want to take any of that away from anyone. I will say, having read that this was the last in the Tacone family series, tears just popped out. I loved this series and this bad a** mafia family. Loved loved loved, and I can’t wait to see what’s next!!

Caitlin West has grown up believing the Tacone Family is responsible for her misfortunes. Using her considerable skills as a hacker to gain some well-deserved revenge, she’s confident they’ll never discover the theft – until the day she finds Paolo Tacone in her living room. Paolo is the Family’s fixer and as such he’s domineering, dangerous and frightening on several levels. Why then does his plan to intimidate Catlin go sideways so quickly? Perhaps it’s the unorthodox technique she utilizes to manage the stressful encounter. But instead of scaring him off, her antics are turning him on – oops!

I enjoyed Caitlin and Paolo’s flirty, sexy relationship and how easily they fell into sync with each other. This is a well written, steamy, older man – younger woman romance with well-defined and engaging characters. There’s drama, angst, humour and mystery, plus plenty of dirty talk along with several seriously steamy encounters – many of which include elements of BDSM.

Caitlin is a hacker and a hot mess. She stole from the Tacone family to pay for her and her brother's college tuition. She was sure she'd never get caught until Paolo showed up in her house. Caitlin is also kinky and uses sex to help control her disorder. Paolo is the enforcer for his family but now that they have gone legit he's on tamer missions. The sex is hot, kinky and totally off the charts with this couple. When Caitlin ends up in trouble with the cops, Paolo gets her free and wants to keep her for himself. A bang up ending for this series. I have adored all the heroes and heroines in this series.

I love this Vegas Underground series and Wild Card was fantastic!
Caitlyn and Paolo Tacone come together in true Vegas mafia fashion. What started out as a simple task for Paolo to get what was stolen from his family by Caitlyn transforms into a whole other matter.
I am sad that this is the end of the Vegas Underground series but I look forward to the spin off from this story with the other characters.

The couple: Paolo and Caitlin

Romance genre: mafia
Series: Vegas Underground
Length: 183 pages

Plot: Caitlin is an extraordinary hacker who has been skimming money from the Tacone casino for years; she used the money to pay for college for her and her brother. The Tacones have found out, though, and Paolo has been sent to deal with the problem. Caitlin knew this might happen one day, but she started skimming for revenge; she believes the family killed her father. Paolo's objective is to get their money back, but something about Caitlin draws him in. Can she connect with someone she thinks killed her father? Someone who might be a danger to her? Can he connect with someone who stole from his family? Someone whose sanity is in question?

Commentary: This wasn't a bad story, but it was my least favorite of the series. I think it's because while the other brothers were all looking for an identity outside of the family, Paolo seemed to embrace his destiny as a criminal. I didn't connect to Caitlin at all. She was...damaged. She suffered trauma in her past, and that seemed to inform how she interacted with people in the present. She looked for pain and sexual gratification to clear her mind, and it seemed a little much at times. But she and Paolo seemed to fit together. I just didn't like them as much as the other couples.

Previous book in the series: Dead Man's Hand

“I’m your man. That means I have your back. I'm gonna protect you and make sure you're happy, no matter what.”

This book finishes this series on an epic note. Caitlin has dissociative disorder, and certain stress & triggers can cause her to “leave” her body; she zones out mentally. Who would know that mobster Paolo Tacome would be the person who instinctively understands what she needs? He's not a Dom, but at the same time, he's the best Dom Cait's ever had, doling our pleasure & pain to keep his little hacker intact. I loved the scene of their first meeting, and the crazy that she shows to Paolo (which he finds very attractive!). I adored the characters, and enjoyed the storyline with its twists & turns. Perfect finish to this series.

I love this story!! Vegas Underground is one of the very best series out there. Wild Card gives us a different type of romance with a very different kind of character that you will totally fall in love with.

Caitlin is a dramatic character that is psychotically different and makes it all right. When she is finally caught for stealing from the Tacone family and Paolo Tacone is in her home to figure out what to do with her. Things turn out to change for her that neither one of them expected.

Paolo never thought when he walked into Caitlin's house that he would find a woman that turned his world upside down. But that is precisely what she does. After he gets the money that is owed to his family back, he thought he could walk away from her. Maybe life was never that easy.

Wild Card is a book you HAVE to read! I loved it!!

I am not a big fan of mob romances, but this series with the Tacones was pretty good. Paolo's story with Caitlin is the last of this series. I started reading and immediately got caught up in the storyline.

Caitlin had more than a little quirk. When it made itself known, I kept trying to figure out, not only what was going on, but why was it happening. I thought it was interesting that Paolo on some level knew exactly what she needed. Paolo and Caitlin found home with each other.

There were a couple of twists, and secrets exposed in this book. The pace was pretty fast. I was able to read the book in one sitting. It was sexy, steamy, yet strangely sweet and romantic. A little surprising for a mob enforcer and a hacker, but it worked. Paolo and Caitlin found their HEA.

I’ve had so much fun getting to know the Tacone siblings, I’m now utterly distraught that this series is over. Paolo and Caitlin have left me a little lost for words. That’s maybe okay since Paolo is the strong, silent type himself. I love that Caitlin embraces her crazy, but what she endured that made her that way broke my heart. Together, this pair are the very embodiment of that old nursery rhyme about the girl with curl in the middle of her forehead: when they were good, they were very, very good, but when they were bad, they were horrid. The highs were passionate and swept me away with them. The lows made me want to cry their tears. I loved the way this book ends, yet I’m still feeling bereft that we’re done.

I hate that this is the end of the Tacone family in Vegas Underground but it is an excellent story to end the series on. Paolo pays a visit to Caitlin who had hacked into their computer system and stolen over $100,000 to finance her and her brother’s education. But Caitlin affects him more than he thought any woman could and from there they become more and more involved. It is a great story, just as all the other stories in this series has been fantastic. Everyone of the Tacone siblings have obtained a HEA with spouses and the next generation is well on its way. I would highly recommend this book as a great read.

Just when I thought this series couldn't get any better, along comes Caitlin and Paulo. She has to be one of my favorite heroines in a book, ever! She's mega smart, hilarious, beautiful, independent and has a passionate, damaged soul. Paulo is inherently alpha, destined to be alone and sexy as sin. These two were the perfect compliment to each other, in and out of the bedroom. They saved each other and gave each other a reason to trust and to believe in love. Renee, I absolutely loved this series and I'm sad to see it come to a close. Can't wait to see what you have in store for us next though!

Beautifully broken
I absolutely love this book! I couldn’t help but fall in love with both of the characters. She is beautifully broken and he is a stoic embodiment of alpha male. The author couldn’t have done a better job with the way these two just got each other. I have enjoyed all of the books in the series, but this one really touched my heart. It’s just something in the way that they are afraid to show their love and yet their actions are a visual display of the emotions they have. I am sad that this is the last book in the series, I would love to read about how the couples continue to grow. No matter where she takes us, I can’t wait to see what the author brings us next

I loved this story! But I’m very sad that there is no more Tacone Brothers to have a story to tell!! Anyway this one was awesome!!i loved how it jump started right into the thick of things! I loved the wild ups and downs. And how Caitlin deals with things. What a fantastic world that Renee Rose built for us to take a look at and sit a spell. Where one could go and have a taste of the wild side!! Book Boyfriends galore with this series. This and all the rest have those wonderful feels that just drag you right in and keep you hooked until the last word I’m Finished!

BEST IN SERIES YET!! Oh man my kindle caught flame! This was such an intense, steamy and action paced story. I LOVED the plot and thought the way the author wrote it was brilliant. The characters were also awesome because they were so right for each other, yet defiant and sassy. I could not put this story down. I don't know what it is about this author and this series but they capture me in such a way I cannot wait for more! I feel the need for each story because I know, like this one, I am going to get awesomeness!! I received an ARC and am leaving my honest review.

This is a great story by Renee Rose. I love this series. I couldn't put this story down. I enjoyed the interactions between Caitlin and Paolo.

Caitlin knows that she will get caught one day for stealing from the Tacone family. Paolo has come to get the money that she stole from them. But things don't go as plan for him. She doesn't act the way he expects. They have explosive chemistry. They both have trust issues. She believes that the family killed her father years ago. He has always kept things close to the chest. Will they be able work things out to move forward?

Wow. OK this book starts out fast paced and does not let up. Right from the start it's smoking hot, and only gets better.

Caitlin isn't normal. She has, Dissociative disorder. She's also a hacker who stole money from the Tacones, and Paolo is the one sent to get it back. But like I said, Caitlin isn't normal. She doesn't react like Paolo expects her to, but her reaction is definitely one for the books.

Paolo doesn't know what to make of her st first, but he's also not saying no. He feeds off of her almost. It's crazy, but something unique.

I'm a little bit crazy obsessed with Paolo. He is so much of everything I can't even begin. He likes Caitlin's "craziness" and let's her be her. Caitlin is the perfect opposite of Paolo. Her quirkiness plays so well with his seriousness. I loved this and I'm sad to see these guys go. I highly recommend this book. The entire series actually.
