At Woodsong Academy you don't choose your powers. The powers choose you.

To be clear, I had no idea how true that idea was until I stepped into Woodson Academy, an elite private school for children of Fairies, infamous Witches, and cult Shifters. I also had no idea that I was being hunted by a group of elite supernatural trackers. That was until my family was murdered by a tracker. Now, I want answers and...revenge.

My name is Brie Bounty and I am not like other teenage girls. Because... I am not human.
As a half-blood, a descendant of a Fairy and a Shifter, I was born with powers-- powers that wouldn't emerge until I turned sixteen. Since birth, I had known I would attend the prestigious and secret academy hidden in the deep confines of Southern Kentucky. I would be trained on how to utilize my powers and how to keep them safe from humans in our world.
Everything was supposed to be easy the moment I stepped into Woodsong Academy. It was supposed to be the one place where I would finally fit in and be 'normal.' Only, now I have a target on my back and someone is out to get me and my new friends. When death knocks on the Academy doors, we all prepare for the battle of our lives.
I don’t care what sinister tricks these trackers have up their sleeves, I am ready to fight and to win.

An exciting new world for fans of Vampire Academy, Percy Jackson, and the Marked Series. Filled with magic, romance, suspense, a spunky heroine, and jaw-dropping action, readers won’t want to stop reading!

ONE DELECTABLE JOURNEY!!!
Unbelievable! Leigh not only hit the motherload, she blasted the vault wide open in this delightfully, delectable wild ride. Bumbling through the trials and tribulations, keeping pace with all the plot twists and stunning turns, fusing this bad boy together beautifully. Divvying up incredibly, well rounded scenario's, chock-full of vexing contingents, thrusting this gem into a tailspin with shocking results. The drama, angst, intrigue, danger and suspense blaze through, melding this baby together one jagged piece at a time. Toss in distress and turmoil you have one prize winning wonder. The characters personalities are authentic and realistic with traits and qualities that blend with one another in a perfect balance. The scenes are strikingly sharp with abundant details and descriptions you have no problem picturing each scenario creating a colorful backdrop that makes the storyline pop. Fantastic job Leigh, thanks for sharing this bad boy with us.

A good start to a new series
Brie Bounty has always wanted to hunt down the people who killed her parents, well now she had the opportunity to do just that. She had just joined Woodsong Academy. The academy where she will learn to use her supernatural fairy abilities. And it isn't long till the trackers are attacking the Academy.
Can Brie find the people who killed her parents?? Will she learn to use her abilities?? Will she have help??
This is a good base line to start a series. I would of liked some more action and passion but like I said its a good start and I look forward to reading the second book to see what is next in store for Brie

Another academy themed fantasy that is perfect for the young adult reader. Introduces the main heroine Brie who is the newest student to attend Woodsong Academy where she will learn to embrace her fairy magic and empower it to aid her in avenging her murdered parents. There is an ongoing war with the Trackers, humans who are responsible for the deaths of many supernaturals and this group has set their sights on the school. Brie will learn many things in defense of the school while indulging in a little romance. A nice start.

Brie is about to start a new chapter in her life at Woodsong Academy she will find out what her powers are and finally get her faery wings. There she meets a shifter Ace they battle a common enemy the Trackers with the rest of her friends at the new Academy. There is loss, war, and love in this book. For me this book was to drawn out and there wasn't enough suspense or angst between the characters. This just my personal opinion.

Brie was raised by her grandmother after the trackers killed her parents. When she turned sixteen she attended woodsong academy where she could learn to be a fairy and what that would mean. She was assigned ace as her protector. One night the trackers attack the academy killing a professor. The characters are fierce. The story is well written and action packed. I had to read it all the way through it was so good. I loved it. I cant wait for the next book.

What could have turned out to be a superbly beautiful book, comes out as a great book only.

Some parts feel rushed, others feel oddly unexplained. Things happen at random and there's not much in terms of background information other than small glimpses across the book.

The end seems rushed and honestly takes away the charm of looking at book 2.

But like I do with most book ones, I'm going to give book 2 a chance. There are times when the series picks up pace and vitality from book 2.

I'm sorry this book I feel could have been really good. I read up to chapter seven and then gave up. There are so many errors and not just the typing errors. I feel if the story was rewritten and the discrepancies through out the book taken care of it could be good. I even download the unlimited version and it was the same.
