Rate this book
Estes Park, picturesque mountains, charming shops, a cozy bookstore and bakery… and murder. Quarrelsome Book 7As summer draws to a close, the Spirit, Health, and Heart Conference arrives, just in time for Winifred’s sisters to open their store next to the Cozy Corgi Bookshop. To Fred’s surprise, Chakras turns out to be a beautiful addition to the delightful mountain town. But not everyone is charmed, and when a famous spiritualist is found dead, Chakras and the entire town are plunged into a conflict that touches the lives of those closest to Fred. Wicked Book 8Estes Park bustles with tourists and locals for its Halloween celebration, and Winifred Page and her corgi sidekick, Watson, are enjoying their favorite pastries as they greet trick-or-treaters outside the Cozy Corgi Bookstore and Bakery. But a chilling afterhours break-in at the charming bookshop leaves Fred and Watson shaken, especially with its connection to a recent poaching incident in the national park. By daybreak, on a cool morning walk through town, Fred discovers the body of one of the poachers…Malevolent Book 9Fred is welcoming the holiday spirit and appreciating the friendships, love, and support she’s found during her first year in her new hometown. A holiday party at the Cozy Corgi Bookshop and Bakery becomes a scene for local drama, and by morning, a trip to the magic shop to collect a present has Fred and Watson stumbling upon a murder scene. In an unexpected twist, Fred is asked to investigate, but the suspect list keeps growing, and every one of them would give Ebenezer Scrooge a run for his money. (This anthology includes a recipe for delectable quiche, garlic-infused artisan bread, and sweet potato pie.)

Mildred Abbot continues to delight cozy readers!

From book 1 to book 9...I just can't seem to get enough of these books. From the first one to the 9th...a year has passed. Fred continues to intrigue the reader. The characters develop more fully with each story. I am glad Susan is showing her true self....can't wait to see what happens with the ranger, Katie, and shop owners. Watson is pretty predictable...but he has a great personality...his response to people hurting andmin need is wonderful. I fully intend to read the rest of this series within the next month.

I highly reccomend you indulge yourself and read this series.

Feel like your reading about friends

I had never heard of this author, Mildred Abbott, until I saw the trilogy for my Kindle. I usually read romance stories but every once in a while I change it up. I have loved this series and in about 2 weeks have read 9 books. There are quite a few characters to keep up with which I didn't like to begin with, but eventually they become like good friends. The mysteries are fun, and solving them is not easy. They are not gruesome and offer some surprises. They have been a very nice change of pace.

Corgis, Christmas . . .

. . . And mistletoe . . .

Well, I'm still binging and still loving all the characters, the small town setting, and the deep sense of fun and family that has permeated this series this far. Not to forget the inimitable Watson! Great characters, perfectly timed humour, but mostly good solid murder mysteries of the sort that help you while away the chill of an early fall afternoon.

Box Set Four has been purchased and queued up to be started, just as soon as I set down my stylus.

I do so enjoy this series. A big wild, raucous, whacky family living in a small Colorado town, with a murder in every episode. Most of the bodies are discovered by Fred, the owner of the Cozy Corgi bookstore, and her own real live corgi. Sometimes silly, sometimes improbable, but definitely entertaining. And I keep coming back for more or their delightful adventures. Plus, there seems to be a hint of a new romance brewing.

An enjoyable series

I've now read all of the Cozy Corgi books so it's obvious I enjoyed them. I became very attached to the town's characters in the book and the grumpy but kind little corgi named Watson. I recommend this series to all those who like somewhat lighthearted cozy mysteries.

Wonderful Series

Fun and quirky characters and endearing stories. The three holidays, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas, have been blended into one long season of celebration, overeating and family visits. These three mysteries bring closure to several continuing story lines over the course of the series. Looking forward to next book in the series. Recommend.

Cozy corgi series

Books 7-9 of thi series is awesome. Great character development along with great plot twist and turns. Kept me guessing as the plot thickened. I loved the personality of Watson and can easily close my eyes and picture him and the other characters. I love getting lost in books, and these stores are the best! Thank you, and keep them coming.

Loved them as always

As always, I loved the characters and stories in this collection. However, I will say, without spoiling this for others, that the ending of Wicked Wildlife (book 8) was a total shocker. I really didn't see that one coming which was great since I usually have a basic idea of who done it before the end of the story. Can't wait to start the next book.

three more mysteries, lots of sleuthing

The third set of three Cozy Corgi stories, each better in their own plot.
These stories have the ability to keep the reader wondering what puzzle piece may be the key to solving the case, and when the final solution is reached there is pure satisfaction.

Love these corgi stories. The mortality rate in Estes Park keeps climbing but Fred and Watson can be counted on to sort things out.
This cozy series has a quirky set of recurring characters, charming locations, interesting themed stories that explore unusual worlds and lots of dogs and pastries.

Fun Stories to Read

Enjoyable reading with cute characters in interesting mysteries. She does a great job of evoking the image of a corgi as the sidekick.
