I'm a total fan of M/PREG Paranormal Romances, first and foremost as a reader. I'm excited to share my own omegaverse(s) with you. What's not to love about adorable Omegas and the Alpha men who love them? If I'm not writing about men sporting baby bumps, I'm definitely reading about them!
I'm a native of Las Vegas, NV, so I'm pre-wired to love everything weird ~ although I don't find any kind of love to be weird. I'm a cis woman who's been happily married to the same lovable lug for 18 years. We have a 16yr old son, well, at least I think we do? Either that, or we have a ghost that eats all our food and uses up all wifi playing xbox while screaming into a headset.
As a new author, it's been amazing to find the amount of support that I've been given from readers and my fellow authors. Feel free to message me, I love to chat with fellow readers. Am I a reader? Heck yeah! In fact, I'm never certain that I can completely trust an author who isn't a fellow bibliophile.
I will try to update here when I'm doing promotional parties & chats. I usually do those on Facebook. If you haven't already signed up for my newsletter, you should totally do it! I only send out NL's to announce new releases or important announcements. I also like to note in my NL what I'm currently reading along with a cover shot and the link for anyone who is interested.
I you want to listen , like I do, to fluffy, playful, easy going stories with campy - sort of soap opera style- villainous and wretched anti-heroes? With engaging, quirky , loveable heroes and colorful cast of secondary characters? Lots of steamy and hot AF sexy times; that it's also low on angst, high on love and abundance of small town charm? HEA for all the couple's ? That is so sweet and syrupy to put anyone into a diabetic coma? If your answer is yes?! Then, MacIntosh Meadows Trilogy is the audiobook for you and for me!
Drew Bacca lively, cheerful , enthusiastic and a bit OTT narration style fit perfectly with this happy , romantic, uncomplicated book series. He is a new to me narrator and I found is voice clear. His pacing, pauses, intonation natural and pleasing.
An entertaining audio, that left me with a big smile. It was exactly the mental escape , I needed to be able to deal with all the holidays stress and craziness.
I had listened to the last book in this series (The Alpha's Manny) earlier this year, and while I enjoyed it, it was definitely more enjoyable listening to all three books in a row.
From fake marriage and friends to lovers, to secret baby and one-night-stand turned into more, to end up with enemies to lovers, there's something for everyone in this collection. The main and secondary characters were tridimensional and lovable, with the exception of Laurie's monsters-in-law or Dean, Kade and Zeke's horrible mother, of course. I loved how all three stories were interconnected and how everyone in the McIntosh family was so instrumental in all the stories. There was angst and fun and babies and a whole lot of love and I couldn't get enough of it all.
And of course, it didn't hurt that Drew Bacca did such a great job with all the different characters. He truly brought them and their stories to life for me. Very recommendable!

Overall thoughts on the set: This is a non-shifter mpreg series about 3 brothers and their HEAs. These stories are fairly low-angst, a little silly at times, sometimes downright syrupy sweet (even with the cursing) and are best appreciated as such. As soon as I started listening, I realized that despite not having marked them in GR I have read these before (must have been on one of my Susi Hawke binges). Totaling just under 17 hours for all 3, they're over novella length but still fairly short books. It's still a good deal for a single credit. I've included thoughts on the individual books below and any spoilers are at the very bottom of the review. The storylines are enjoyable but this isn't something I'd listen to more than once so I'm giving this not-quite-but-rounded-up 4 stars.
Narration: This was my first experience with Drew Bacca. He has a good voice for this light and fun genre. He does a nice job of giving each character their own specific voice and it carries throughout the whole series which makes it even more enjoyable. I might also really love the voice he uses for Zeke. I'd be happy to listen to him in the future.
Book 1: The Alpha's Widower Recently widowed, Laurie Adams returns with his 3 children to his hometown to hide out from his in-laws who are trying to gain custody. He reconnects with his bestie from childhood, Dean MacIntosh. The "evil mother-in-law" bordered on campy at times and I'm not a huge fan of GFY books, but overall this one was OK. I did enjoy how much Dean and the entire MacIntosh clan embraced Laurie and the kids. Unfortunately, I did have one big issue with the story ~ for why it's only 3 stars, see spoilers.
Book 2: The Omega's Dance We met dance studio owner Kade MacIntosh and attorney Alec Santiago in the first book. However, these two didn't actually meet until an anonymous hook-up in this one. A condom failure lands Kade thinking he'll be parenting all alone until Alec walks into the dance studio to pick up his daughter. This one had more angst than the first, especially when it comes to Alec's inability to move on from the death of his first husband. I wasn't wow-ed, but 3.5 stars for being an enjoyable story.
Book 3: The Alpha's Manny This was definitely my favorite. Perhaps I'm a little biased by the manny-trope, or it could be Bacca's voice for Zeke, or possibly having a stronger connection to the larger cast of characters... did I mention Zeke? So, poor omega Dusty has just had his sister die, miscarried his child, and received divorce papers within a few days. Turns out Zeke is surprised to learn he's the father of a 5-month-old who happens to be Dusty's nephew. Dusty is in need of a job and Zeke is in need of childcare ~ so they strike up a manny arrangement. Zeke starts as kind of jerk but gets his act together quickly. Despite being the shortest book, it was cute and a nice wrap-up for the series. 4 stars.
*** SPOILERS *** The Alpha's Widower spoiler: So, I really liked this story. However, Laurie & Dean's first sexual encounter didn't sit well with me at all ~ and for such a short story it really sticks. Basically, Dean is so drunk he's slurring his words and Laurie says, "Here in the dark, one mouth is as good as another." When Dean questions what he's suggesting, Laurie replies, "I'm saying I can take care of this for you, while you close your eyes and pretend that I'm someone else - if you want to, that is." Dean goes on to remove his own clothes, but it still borders on lack of consent and the whole exchange is noxious. *** END SPOILERS ***
I received a free copy of this audiobook and am voluntarily leaving a review.
MacIntosh Meadows: complete trilogy is a contemporary m/m romance series by Susi Hawke. We are greated to three wonderful, well written stories filled with humor, sweetness, heat and just a bit of angst. These three brothers find love, family and forever in these three mpreg stories.
• The Alpha’s Widower, The Omega’s Dance, and The Alpha’s Manny are the three books included in this trilogy.
☆The Alpha’s Widower☆
Laurie is an omega , single father coming home to his family farm after the scandalous death of his Alpha husband. Being threatened by his inlaws that they will take custody of his 3 children, he travels 800 miles to his hometown with his 3 children and the one he just found out is on their way. At home, Laurie reunited with his very sexy but very straight best friend Dean. And when the in-laws come knocking, Dean offers to marry Laurie and help him keep his children. What starts as a fake marriage, morphs into something more when Dean starts to notice his body react to his new husband. Perhaps he isn't as straight as he always thought. Can they have a real happily ever after?
I always enjoy a Susi Hawke book and this is no exception. Dean and Laurie are sweet and sexy together, the children adorable and the supporting characters add to the entertainment.
☆The Omega’s Dance☆
Kade is an Omega who isn't looking for a permanent Alpha. He owns a dance studio and loves being single, seeking out adult fun when wanted. One night stands are all he needs alphas for. Alec is an Alpha who isn't looking for a permanent Omega. He is a single father, an attorney, and is still mourning his deceased husband, eight years after his death. He isn't going to get into another relationship, one night stands are all he needs. When Kade and Alec meet at a bar and experience strong chemistry together, their bathroom rendezvous leaves them with a lasting impression of one another. And a baby. But they were only a one night stand and didn't exchange info...luckily fate has a plan.
The MacIntosh Meadows series is amazing. I love these brothers and their husbands and babies. Well written stories that entertain and keep you reading...
☆The Alpha’s Manny ☆
The MacIntosh Meadows series delivers fun, sweet stories with a good amount of sexy. The Alpha's Manny is book 3 of the series and gives is the story of eldest brother Zeke and Dusty. See finds out he gathered a child with a one night stand and is now taking custody of the child after the mother's tragic passing. Her brother, Dusty, becomes the Manny and although the first impressions are unfavorable , the two men and up having a moment of passion that ends up with a surprise baby. Dusty learns that there is more to Zeke than his player reputation and that finding The One can make all the difference.
Three wonderful, heartwarming, yet unique stories. With colorful characters, sass, wit and all the feels you want from Susi. I loved MacIntosh Meadows!!
~~~~ The Alpha's Widower — Dean (Alpha, youngest MacIntosh brother) & Laurie (Omega)
A wonderful bi-awakening, best-friends-to-lovers tale!! I loved Laurie! I felt for him and all he had to go through and OMG his mother in law is demonic, I'm so glad she got taken down but she could have received a harsher sentence. I love Susi's approach to Dean and his relationships. He's so sweet and caring and I loved his character arc. Such a sweet couple!
~~~~ The Omega’s Dance — Kade (Omega, middle MacIntosh brother) & Alec (Alpha)
This one made me cry on multiple occasions! Both for Alec and his first love and Kade's upbringing and the hot and cold feelings Alec seemed to project towards Kade. I think these two are my favorites! So much pain in their past (& present) to overcome, I felt they were perfectly matched and while they had a serious challenge to face their pain they were finally able to move forward together! All the feels!!
~~~~ The Alpha’s Manny — Zeke (Alpha, eldest MacIntosh brother) & Dusty (Omega)
The last one to wrap up these brothers' stories! A sweet and surprising duo, with all the feels you could want, a bit of foot in mouth syndrome (thanks Zeke) and some hardships to overcome, I really liked these two. I felt they had great chemistry from the start and while Zeke had to come to terms with surprise fatherhood and fiery attraction, I loved his growth and how he stepped up into fatherhood and love so well. A beautiful finale!!
Great narration by Drew Bacca on each of these stories! I really enjoyed the whole series and felt all the characters were 'read' differently and this was surprisingly consistent over all three books.
This audio set is three separate books, each one about the 3 MacIntosh brothers. Two alphas, one omega, their lives changing all at the same time.
The Alpha's Widower was the story of two old friends, reuniting when one loses his husband and moves back home to his grandfather's farm with his kids in tow and a baby on the way.
The Omega's Dance was probably my favorite of the trio of stories, dealing with an omega brother having a one night stand with a stranger, then falling in love with his kid as he was his dance teacher.
The Alpha's Manny was an interesting tale of siblings and relationships that turn messy and can go from hateful to loving in a matter of minutes.
Overall, the three stories were lighthearted and fun, with a bit of cheesiness to lighten the mood. All of the characters had distinct personalities, but were typical Alpha and Omega stereotypes.
The narration was on par, as I could definitely tell the characters apart, even in the last story, which featured all of them for the majority of the book.
It was entertaining and sweet, with very little angst and lots of teasing and jokes.
THE ALPHA WIDOWER Laurie and Dean’s story is sweet and easy to listen to. No unnecessary descriptions of surroundings Good dialogues Sweet connection between Laurie and Dean The storyline is good and progresses nicely to a great ending The secondary characters is is intriguing and makes me look forward to their stories
4 stars
THE OMEGA’S DANCE Another sweet story about single parents and there’s no secret I love it. No unnecessary descriptions of surroundings Good dialogues The storyline is good and progresses nicely to a happy ending
4 stars
THE ALPHA’S MANNY The last story in this trilogy was a sweet ending that was emotional and very enjoyable. No unnecessary descriptions of surroundings Good dialogues Well described characters that’s developed in to different personalities
4 stars
Narrator: Clear pronunciation and read with feelings, I found his voice relaxing listening to.
I think the author created a nice world with a sort of family saga and I loved that.
I enjoyed The Alpha’s Widow (first story) and thought The Alpha’s Manny (third story) was ok, but my favorite was The Omega’s Dance (second story). I didn’t really feel the connection between the couples in the first and third story as much as I did in the second. Most of the main characters in all three stories were really sweet, except Zeke in the third story. Though Zeke did turn around, I just didn't like his attitude in the beginning, and it ruined it for me.
Drew Bacca did a great job. I could tell all the characters apart. He has a smooth and clear voice making it easy to follow along. I loved the way he would say “tiny dancer” in The Omega’s Dance. I would listen to more by Bacca.
This series is my first real exposure to the non-shifter non-alien omegaverse. Where has Susi Hawke been my whole life? I fell in love with MacIntosh Meadows and everyone who lives there.
I’m a sucker for the accidental pregnancy trope so this series checked all my boxes and then some. I also love when a series has characters that continue to makes appearances in later books. While each story focuses on one couple, previously seen characters become integral supporting characters in future books.
I highly recommend this series and I look forward to reading more of Susi Hawkes books.
Loved it! All three of these are amazing stories and characters so having them brought to life. Drew Bacca's narration sets the right tone for all these huge personalities and each emotional scene is brilliantly done. Each chapter and book flow well into each other for hours of enjoyable listening without having to worry about where you are in the set. Can't wait for the next.
Three brothers with three stories of love. I love the way all three of these books tie together and are yet each their own story. These brothers are so different from each other but they are all caring and loyal. Despite their teasing they have their backs. I love the way that each of them found that mate that is perfectly suited to them and who become a part of the family.
I had already read all three books separately but I was ready to read them again. This is probably my favorite series from Susi Hawke and that’s saying a lot considering how much I love the Hollydale series! Watching these three brothers find love was just sweet and inspiring!
I love these stories. Three brothers and love finding them when and where they least expected it. Get it today and enjoy lots of babies and happily ever afters.
This is a cumulative 5 stars for all 3 books. I’m a sucker for Mpreg, so there was little chance that I wasn’t gonna like them. These books are light and fluffy without heavy drama. Definitely recommended for fans of Mpreg! Happy reading!!!
I like these stories. The characters are well written and funny. These stories are definitely about having a good strong family. I’m looking forward to reading the next book that comes out.
Oh my gosh, I just loved this book 📖 I loved each story . The Macintosh Family is crazy, had me laughing and teary eyed. Each character and story line was great. Loved all of the happy endings.
I love these MacIntosh men and their crazy family! I love these stories where Love is hard to find or even trust, but it grows into a Forever kind of moment! Beaitifully written!
A great read with a lot of "LOL" moments. Loved all the MC's especially the SASSY "omegas". I'm hooked. Moving onto The Hollydale series as we speak. Thanks Susi Hawke for a great imagination 🤗
I want to give five Stars but only one was available?? This Series is very entertaining, with a family if brothers finalky meeting their life partners. Pure entertainment.
Absolutely loved this boxset by Susi Hawke! I wonder if there will be any books for other family members or a book that's a few years in the future or when the kids have all grown up?
