After being tortured to the brink of death, Sophie's carefully built life crumbles to cinders...
Cole is there to pick up the broken pieces, but her psyche might be fractured into too many pieces. Scarlett, Snow, Serena, Sibyl and more, are all swirling around inside one damaged mind, and Cole becomes uncertain whether the woman he loves will ever be whole again.
The couple decides to leave the USA for the wedding of Helen and Liam Larson (Sophie's biological brother) in Switzerland, and the romantic setting of a chalet in the Alps proves to be a perfect place for rest and recovery.
When an old friend tries to seduce Cole back into the world of architecture with the challenge to design a tower unlike any other, he refuses to focus on helping Scarlett heal. But when she encourages him to take on the project, and wants to participate, Cole decides it could be wise to start a new life far away from their chaotic past, on the other side of the planet.
Cole and Scarlett believe they have finally found a place they can call home. But with the truth about the death of Cole's parents out in the open, it turns out that some dangers can follow a person to every corner of the planet, and even the ends of the earth...

Fun fact: The author's real name is Nadia-- she chose her pen name because her sister's name is Loretta, and her sister is lost.
I’m an admittedly big fan of Loretta’s work, and I know this is what most fans will say, but this is my favorite of her books. This is far more than just new book hype though. This may very well be the crown jewel of her library. Sophie and Cole return for their final adventure, and boy do they ever go out with a bang, or maybe I should say a boom (it’s funnier after you finish reading). I love this book for what it accomplishes more than anything else: character growth and development. Sophie and Cole are both forced to face the demons of their past so that they can finally step forward into their future. The story really faces the challenge of dealing with past and current trauma, coping, and seeking help to heal. I find this topic to be profoundly important from my personal experiences, and really hope that it helps readers learn that it’s good and healthy to get help, even if you are a super hero. Beyond that, I think the most surprising thing about this book is that it truly brings the three previous stories into one amazing tale. Normally the final book of a series is the most disappointing or worst one. That’s not true here. This book bends the others to its will in a way that can only be described as masterful. It is truly a joy to read and just makes everything a little more special. You definitely need to read the ending of their story.
When I read the summary, I thought 'ok, this seems like a pretty good book to read'. Once I started reading then I couldn't stop till I finished all thw books! I even got jealous of Salena for have a way to escape her trauma and having a living superhero inside.. Of having the power of overcoming the power of not allowing to be hurt and pushed over. She became amazing to me and then worried for her and then even more amazing in the end! I still have my own fights within, but this series was amazing to read and see how certain this were handled.
This is by far the best book in the series. Wonderful to see that people do come out the other side of mental issues! Glad to see a happy ending. My only issue with this book was the number of misspellings, incorrect sentence structures, and missing words in sentences. Pretty minor detail for the number of words and sentences. Maybe you could write a series about Lucy and Roddy?
OMG! I waited to review this series until all four books were read n I am happy I did. Each book brings its own story that is so intertwined to the next. Nothing is forgotten n new situations are introduced that keep ur heart rate up. There is crime, mental illness, personal torment (physical n mental), friendship, success n above all - love n a chance for a normal life (whatever that is). Well written n presented.
Loved this last book of this series. Probably the best one out of all of them, however, I am partial to the first one as well. This last looks deeply into Serena’s mental state and ties all the pieces together of her many personalities. It does a decent job of explaining DID, and ways to manage the disorder. A great ending to such a tragic story.
I was so taken in by this series. It was impossible to put these books down. I was captivated by all 4 alter personalities. Cole and Levi, Luciana and Rowdy. Great sweies
This is an amazing book. As a nursing student who just completed my psyc rotation this really helped put into perspective how people with DID might actually feel and problems they may experience. Great job Loretta!!
