This collection of essays is filled with timeless reminders that God's people are to lead lives that are utterly dependent on Scripture.

Theologically sound authors writing on the sufficiency of the Scriptures collected in one book is definitely a brilliant idea. Of course, not every author is as spiritually and theologically adept as others, but the totality of the essays would surely benefit the reader.

An excellent, short read, made up of chapters written by a variety of authors, all who extol the incredible, All-Inspired, All-inerrant, All-Authoritative, All-sufficient, glorious Word of God. Each chapter is written by a different author. Authors of these chapters are: R.C. Sproul, V oddie Baucham, Dr. Jack MacArthur, John MacArthur, Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones, Steven J. Lawson, Mark Dever, R. Ablert Mohler, Jr., Conrad Mbewe, Nathan Busenitz, Justin Peters, and Phil Johnson.

I thoroughly enjoyed each chapter within the book, but ones that stood out to me were, "Why You Can Believe the Bible," by Baucham; "The Finding of An Old Book," by Jack MacArthur; "Not Ashamed of the Gospel," by Lloyd-Jones (man, I enjoy Lloyd-Jones); "The Folly of Adding to Scripture," by Mbewe; "We Must Obey God Rather Than Men," by Busenitz (always great to read church history); "Hearing from Heaven: How God Speaks Today (and how He Doesn't)," by Peters (He addresses an absolutely critical topic for the chaos of the evangelical world today); and "The Foolishness of the Cross," by Johnson.

Each chapter is thought provoking and very helpful for one who wants to give thought to and understand the greatest book ever penned. I highly recommend this book.

I received this book as a gift and was grateful for the encouragement to lean deeply into the Scriptures. This book, of course, is not Scripture, and does not claim to be; but rather points the reader back to the Scripture to remember that God has given us everything we need for life and godliness within it. This is the best material source of encouragement I have ever read to fully appreciate the completion of God's Word (outside of it, that is).

The book assembles essays from 12 authors on the sufficiency of scripture. It celebrates the Word of God and it’s power, and dispels the myths that anything beyond scripture is necessary to understand God. Highlights include Voddie Bauchman’s essay on why you can believe the Bible and Justin Peters’ essay regarding ongoing revelation and claims from charismatics that God speaks directly to them.
