I've won one victory against my enemies, but it seems the barons are just getting started with their new, vicious schemes. They'll stop at nothing to expand their power.

Any move I make to oppose them could have horrible consequences for both me and the guys I love. My only hope is playing along until the right opportunity comes my way.

There's a chance I could sway my mother if I can earn her trust. She may be brutal when she feels she needs to be, but I've seen glimpses of a softer side underneath. Can I walk the line between obedience and resistance without losing so much more than I already have?

*Grim Witchery is the seventh book in a university-age paranormal academy series. Expect magical villainy, a tough heroine who bends to no one’s will, a dollop of steam, and a slow-burn enemies-to-lovers romance where there'll be no choosing required.*

I'm not quite sure how this story is going to wrap up with only one more book...but I'll bite.

Now that Rory has her mother back in her life, she's trying to balance having a mother and also her mother's agenda. I do feel like there's more to Rory's mother then what we are seeing, but at the same time, she's agreeing to some pretty horrible changes. I, for one, cannot see the point in all of the changes they are making regarding the Naries and why anyone would think this is a good idea. This book almost feels like a direct response to what is going on in our political system currently. And while I am all for artist expression regarding the horrible state of our country, it didn't really feel all that natural here.

I am really liking the changes in the groups dynamic. It's nice to see them all working together with a common goal in mind. They are actually listening and coming up with solutions to try to avoid war. This is more than I can say about their parents.

With only one book left, I'm interested to see how Chase wraps this up. There seems like so much more story to tell for only one more book. But here I go...

Grim Witchery is the 7th novel in this wonderful series. In this installment Rory continues to get to know her birth mother. Many secrets are revealed and treason to be planned. This book is full of suspense, lust, romance, action and just mage powered awesomeness. If you thought the past books were sexy, wait until you see what the 5 scions do when they are together in one room (cue the fire alarms). The Barons have a plan to terrify the naries and take over. This plan goes in shambles when the Scions come up with a plan of their own. Although the Barons are unable to continue with their plot to run the naries, this lapse will not last long. Now they plan to take over the country.
Overall great book, it is hard to put down. I am excited to see what the next and last installment holds.

HOLY. DAMN! I was prepared that the last two books were gonna be scary, emotional and action packed. I was not prepared for those epic show down already building up in this book. I've grown too attached to these characters. Every time I turn a page I'm afraid that something bad is gonna happen to them, that the plans they make are gonna fail. I was on the brink of skipping parts because I just had to know that things would be alright. Somehow. For now.

Chase gave me quite a few scares in this book. Even though action wise not even that much happened, the emotional tension and the clear steps that are taken towards the big finale were really exciting and well done. Although there is still some sort of subplot in this book, that already gets resolved before the book ends, it's clearly part of a bigger plot, of the one that will come to an end in the next book. And it's gonna be epic without a doubt.

The characters are now established. We know them. We love them. They have grown into their own people and we now see the people they want to be in their future. The conflict is now mostly coming from the outside world. It's coming from rules and traditions. From their parents and friends. From expectations and what's right and wrong. I can't wait to read the final book and to see how it's all gonna end.

The journey has been epic so far. One more book to read. You will hear next week what I think of that one last book. I'm terrified and excited at once to read it. If that makes sense.

Hold onto your seatbelts everyone because Rory and the guys are in for one crazy turbulent ride! Sooooo much happens in this exciting installment. Secrets are revealed, layers upon layers start unraveling, and Rory gets the shock of a lifetime in the unlikeliest of places. Thankfully her bond with the guys is strengthening, and they all learn they may have more allies than expected. I can't wait to see what happens next. One things for certain...the Barrony CAN'T remain as it's currently run. We can only hope that change for the better is coming. But can they survive until that time comes? Tons of intrigue, adventure, romance and lots of deception happen within this gorgeously addicting series!!

Wow things are getting bad for the scions. The barrons are up to very bad things and they are struggling to stop them. So much going on in this book and the relationship between rory, Dexlan, Jude, Connor and Malcom is getting stronger. Can't wait to see how everything plays out in the last book.

Well, well, well. I have to say, this was a fast-paced adrenaline rush from start to finish. With one book left I’m not sure who neatly everything will be wrapped up or even if I will agree with the ending.

Our morally grey characters are heading towards white-grey characters. Althea is centring herself on the pedestal of my hate. So many people and consequences came out of the woodwork here.
So, down to business. The Barons, the current adult barons – what kind of fuckery have they been raised in and how long has it been going on? The kind of parenting that would have seen child services removing children and parents being sentenced to time in prison. This ruthless, vicious, dog-eats-dog-world that the Barons are batshit crazy enough to believe should be the status-quo for the world is mindboggling in its absurdity!!!

Althea, Rory’s mum, is a vile human. I can’t tell whether her personality I’m reading about is a consequence of living in the chaotic mindfuck of being a Baron with power or whether she was just born as a ruthless bitch. She has no concept it seems, for what is the moral or right thing to do. People die in this book, and she doesn’t bat an eye. She shows no emotion. A blank canvas.

More credit to Rory, who decides to stick close to her mother to learn all about her and what her and the other Baron’s are doing. She may have almost lost her lunch once or twice, but she stuck on her mission to learn as much as possible.

I always knew that the current Barons was terrible people. That was one of the first premises set up in this series but aside from their interactions with Rory I don’t think I considered their wider implications as characters until her mum returned. I assumed they had their fair amount of evil genes and wouldn’t be easy to dethrone but I had assumed that the main outcome for the series was seeing Rory and the four scions at the pentacle of power. Now, I’m not so sure if that will be the end game.

I realise as I’m writing this that my hands are angrily stabbing the keyboard in irritation.
We have Connar back in this book, back as the sensitive but potentially easily angered scion we’ve known since the beginning of the series. Rory has obviously benefited from having him back. Theirs was the first bond to solidify and while she does trust all of the scions these two do share a deeper bond.
I did start to feel sorry for Declan in this book because all the other Barons essentially froze him out of all decision making. Which does seem to go against the rules of the barony but were ‘argued’ that they were able to get consent from his ‘stand in aunt’ and he was ‘conveniently’ out of reach when needed. Rude if you ask me! I think Declan has gotten a lot of flack through the series, the other Barons have never truly respected him, and he’s always felt a little on the outskirts with the other scions as he is older than them. I think in this book we got a chance to see the reward of his studious side come out and also see him more involved in the group spicy activities.

Jude gets a rough hand in this book though the consequence of what happens to him pushed Rory into an idea that benefits all of them. It causes some upheaval with the other Barons but in a bizarre, uncharacteristic move, her mother defends her in front of them. The aftermath of what happens to Jude leaves him feeling a tad useless and causes him to act in a rasher manner. It worries Rory and the other scions, but I think for Jude, he needed to prove to himself that he was worth more than just his power. And from a character perspective, it was needed.

Malcom uses his intimidating demeanour for good in this book. Never thought I’d say that. I do appreciate how far his character has changed, even if I don’t appreciate how quickly that change happened. He has always been a force to be reckoned with, but it is interesting seeing his choice affecting the bigger picture and how far he can take himself when not following the orders of others.

All four of the scions also realise the danger of what happens in this book, and it causes them to look away from themselves and to take a look at the family members that mean the most to them. Each one takes steps to ensure the safety of those they love and the fact that they all go about it in different ways shows the strength of their character development, personality, and individualism.
Rory is spearheading a one-woman war. Of course, she has her scions helping her, but she is fierce in this book. I knew she was, but to maintain a somewhat blank face as she stands beside her mother through everything that happens in this book – and that’s a lot – is remarkable. I’ve been wanting to bash her mother’s head in since the beginning. I enjoyed the development of Rory’s character in this book. It wasn’t obvious, reading it just felt like a natural shift, but Rory is becoming more of a strategist and planner than I would have ever given her credit for before. She is realising that not everyone has a brain that works the same way and instead of interacting with people the normal way she’s been doing thus far, she’s realising that certain people, like her mother for example, would respond better to certain words of phrases.

For example, if you’re an emotional person talking to a logical person, bringing the argument to them full of emotions is not going to allow them to understand your point of view or lead them to help you in any matter. You need to phrase what you want in a way that will appeal to their logical mind.

These Barons are CRAZY! I’ve watched enough films to know that their current objective will only end in disaster for them. But I get the appeal of the idea. We always fear the unknown and that is being played on heavily in the leadup to this final book.

I still don’t know what the final outcome will be. I can see it going many different ways, but I don’t feel strongly about one in particular. I’m hoping for a HEA. I’m expecting a big chaotic fight. I’m hoping for a removal of the current Baron’s and I’m crossing my fingers none of the main characters die.

Hopefully you have read all the books in the series up to this point so you will know who everyone is and what is going on. This book starts right about where the last one left off . Rory is still trying to get to know her mother and hopes to be able to change her mind about the students at the Academy flaunting their magic and harassing the Nary students. Unfortunately, things are about to get worse instead of better. The Council has decided to extend the area where magic can be openly used to the whole neighboring town. Not only that, but a magical field keeps the townspeople trapped with no communication to the outside world. How are Rory and the guys going to stop this madness?

Of course there are other things going on. The guys are having their own problems with family. One will be attacked and lose his magic. Several will go to the extreme to protect siblings. It is Rory's mother, though, that will finally go off the deep end.

I was given an advanced copy of this book by the author. My review is voluntary.

Probably my favorite book of the series so far!! I really enjoyed the plot of this story (and the love/steamy scenes too!!), it made me want to continue to do housework so I could listen haha. I thought the battles and showdowns teased throughout the book would have been epic in like a tv show setting. This would be a great option for that (more than other RHs I have read in the past) just because of the focus on the academy, powers, Naries, and romance/steam. Nothing is overpowering the other, which is great. Love the balance ❤️

I really loved seeing the group come together in this one, they really are making a cohesive unit (political and romantic) and I love how they are there for each other. Case and point with Jude’s attack. Finally Jude leaned on someone else and because of that, the others could save his life. I was saddened with how he kept seeing himself and putting himself down but my heart was happy when Rory kept reiterating to him that she loved him no matter what. I loved seeing more walls come down between them, especially when people finally make a stand with the Barons. It was refreshing to see what the scions do is a group decision/discussion and no one has sole responsibility of making decisions. OOOOH and the scion guard was brilliant!!

I was so excited to listen to the part where Rory and Connar scheme against Connar’s mom (she totally deserved what she got!) and am kinda liking see Rory and Malcolm’s parents become even more unhinged. I was really happy to be shocked with the Holden twist, that made me smile so much and I cannot wait to get more of him hopefully in the spinoffs because he is going to be a great character (hopefully more airtime with Noah and Agnes!). I was surprised with Maggie too, I thought she was super shady and going to end up being a super bad guy but loved the plot development and reveal. She really grew on me in book 7 and 8, not gonna lie! The side characters I thought really got some amazing exposure/highlights towards the end of the series. Cressida and Victory impressed me in this one, seeing them become more humane after not being forced to stay in the same mindset all their lives. They finally snapped out of it/saw the monsters for who they were and learned they didn’t have to be them too.

Ok, enough gushing about this book! Nothing new to say about the narration, was done really well. I think the feelings we got at the end were so realistic, I felt like I was in this world with them. The heartache Rory feels when she can’t get through to her mom hit me right in the feels. Amazing job to the two again, no constructive feedback from me on this one.

100000% recommend. I am happy Eva isn’t done with this world yet, I will be so sad and the book hangover will be so harsh once she writes the final THE END haha.

Note: I received this book from the author and I voluntarily give this review, it is my honest opinion.

Grim Witchery is the seventh book in the Royals of Villain Academy series and it's the best book yet! I loved this book, I simply devoured it, enjoying every single moment.

Rory has been through so much and with her mother back you would think the assaults from the barons would finally decrease but it's just the opposite all of the barons are increasing the pressure on not only Rory but the other scions and the naries as well. The scions are banding together to protect not only each other but to stop the barons from doing dastardly things but when they find out what the barons are truly up to they don't know if they will be enough to stop what's coming.

Eva manages to create a really good balance between, the steamy scenes and the arc of the story. I love it when Rory and her guys are together, even Malcolm, who in the beginning I was like no way but now I'm so team Malcolm, I know, shocking right. Rory has brought out so many positive aspects in the scions and got them to see things in a different light while they have offered her not only guidance in a new world but they support her as well. Also thanks to Rory the relationship between the guys has become better, sturdier than it has ever been. These are all signs of a good relationship, I don't want Rory to have to give up any of them and I don't want the scions to have to give up anything to keep their relationship but I know that's not always possible, I just hope that it all works out.

As for the plot... dude! A lot went down in this book, first Rory's birth mother is no joke. Not only is baron Bloodstone powerful but she has the full-on attitude of the other barons and to make matters worse she seems a little unsteady due to her years of captivity. The barons are starting to put their schemes into play and no one is safe. I thought things were looking bad before but now... and things can always get worse. I can't wait to see how Rory and her guys deal with them.

The writing was perfectly smooth but what really got me was all the bombshells. There were so many shocking plot twists that happen and that ending, gawd I am not ready for the series to end but I am so ready for the final book, I have to no what happens, how is it going to end and will everyone make it out alive? So many questions that need answering, it's all happening in the final book, Vicious Arts and I'm so excited!

Book: Grim Witchery
Author: Eva Chase
Recommend: Yes
Spice: 🌶️ 🌶️
Age recommendation: 16-30+ Years

Plot:
Rory has started to plot against her mother and the other barons. She is planning how to take them down so she can spare the non magical students from all the torment they have been going though. A non magical student ends up killing herself, and the barons still don’t stop the other students form hurting them.
Rory makes a plan to get the joy mancers involved to take on the fearmancers, Jude ends up doing the job even though he is attacked and ends up with limited magic. Conners finds out his brother isn’t damaged but can be fixed so he saves him, Malcom moves his sister into a safe place away from his parents so she cannot be used against him. And a plan that was made ends up with Conners mum being killed by Rorys mum.

My feelings:

I wasn’t that interested in this book. We are finally getting all the action we need to get to then end but I feel like it went on so long that im no longer interested in the outcome.
Only one book left hand I feel like DNF. But I won’t. My OCD won’t allow me to leave a series unfinished. But Im not looking forward to it.

I did like the part where Jude goes to the Joy Mancers and manipulates them by not really being there. He is smarter then he looks. Im also glad Rory mum murders Conners mum. They are all so horrible that I think they might all need to die to be replaced by the scions.

“Hard to rule if you don’t know who you’re ruling over.” He arched his eyebrows at me. “I know you think I’m too hard on people sometimes, but I’m always paying attention. I put the pressure on where it’s needed and ease off when it’s deserved.”

ooo okay. this was the first book in the series where i was unsure about giving it a 5 star rating…idk there were just a few romance scenes that i felt weren’t as satisfying as in some of the previous books and i kept finding myself thinking, ‘why couldn’t you have said this instead’ you know?

and then there was a scene where things get a bit incestuous with malcolm catching baron bloodstone and baron nightwood having an affair and he’s questioning whether him and rory and half-siblings?? not a fan of this as a plotline at all i’m sorry😭praying this isn’t a whole thing in the final book like it’s really giving sweet home alabama and im not here for it. let’s just quickly put it to rest that they’re not related. malcolm is my second favourite guy in this book and i really don’t want that to be ruined by an incest plot😩

okay now that i’ve gotten that out of the way tho, i still decided to hit the 5 stars because this is nearly one. it’s a 4.5 stars i would say. and i think the plot twists made that happen. the whole revelation about maggie being rory’s cousin? genius. i never saw it coming at all. also!! jude running off to new york to fix things for rory and coming up with the most big brained plan ever and pulling it off? STUNNING. i love that man with my whole heart, okay?

anyway there were just a lot of great moments, a lot of times where i was rlly on edge wondering what’s going to happen and lots of times where i was melting into my seat from happiness.

so onto the final book i guess! i’m terrified for the series to end😭

I had a mini breakdown while reading this so I guess it deserves nothing less than 5 stars. There was a point where I genuinely thought "wow, no one is ever going to love me like this" but that's what romance books are for.

Again, very plot driven. I loved how Rory decided to take matters into her own hands with everything happening with the Naries as well as the glimpses of what the Pentacle of Scions can do when they work together. It didn't exactly work out as planned , but I do appreciate that all siblings were taken to safety. I'm also really looking forward to getting to know Holden a little more.

I do feel that there were a number of things that happened that were unnecessary. Take, for instance, Maggie's redemption arc. However, I did enjoy the drama so no argument there. I am starting to feel bad for Baron Bloodstone and I'm kind of extra curious now about exactly what she went through.

I'm realizing that my favorite guy changes every book and if i ever reread this series I'll make sure to note which one for which book. Right now I'm a bit conflicted between Jude and Connar. I think I am leaning more towards Jude though because there was a lot going on for him this book and Connar already got like 2 books of me absolutely adoring him.

I think there's one book left in the series and it's shaping up to be a 4 star read for me. I would reread the series but maybe not very often.

i’m sorry, but what in the pinkie and the brain was the ending to this book?

better than the last book but still meh. yeah i already know malcolm & her aren’t actually half siblings. i had to look that up because i was about to be pissed if i spent 7 books into a series just for this dumb shit before the end. that route wouldn’t have made sense anyways because then rory would technically be heir to do different pentacle chairs & there’s zero chance baron nightwood wouldn’t have addressed that.

honestly, the “we should be able to use our magic” plot line has been dumb to me this whole time & the build up to it all was just as big of a let down.

the attack on jude & having his magical capabilities also feels completely meaningless since, oh i don’t know, he already can’t be baron & had plans to renounce his right to it anyways. it just felt like a way for him to pull the martyr card, which again, ended up being meaningless.

rory as a character is also just so one dimensional. she’s had really no character development & i just don’t find her as interesting to read about in the last half of this series. this has all only been over the course of less than six months too btw… falling in love with four dudes you just met… that part of stories like this just annoy me. they’re unrealistic & tacky.

even though i saw all the shit with maggie coming- like literally her being the one behind the texts to her becoming an ally, i’m still happy it went that direction.

Fantastic!!

Rory and the other scions have finally agreed on what they want for the future. What happens when the barons are doing everything the scions disagree with?

This is the seventh book in the Royals of Villain Academy series. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS ONE!!! I loved the action. I loved the few spicy scenes we got. I ate those up, let’s be real. I loved the scheming and I just loved everything about it. Except for the barons, but I’m sure everyone else hates them too.

Rory is still as tough as she possibly can. The love she has for the men just makes me feel so warm. She wants them all and she’s not giving up without a fight. I can’t wait to see what she does in the final book.

Jude had me ready to go smack him upside the head. Then he made up for everything and I was ready to just pull him in my arms and not let go. Jude and Connar in that one scene. Wooooaaahhh!! Then the group scene. I mean just give me a whole book with just that. I really can’t pick. All the guys just keep stepping up in my mind.

There were a few twists I didn’t see coming. I had to drop my phone and take a deep breath. I am so excited to read this last one. I have been waiting to see how everything plays out. I also really don’t want this to end because I feel like I know these characters and I’ve spent so much time reading them. Oh. Well. On to the last one!!

The penultimate book in the Royals of Villain Academy series finds our Scions gearing up to take on the Barons in what is sure to be a very messy war.
The Barons are escalating their torture of the Naries, and let’s be real: it is torture. My skin was crawling reading several of these scenes, and yes, this is a fictional story about magical people but it’s not hard to see correlations between their actions and real life examples we have seen in our history. It’s really a remarkable piece of writing.
Each Scion is facing individual battles within their families, as well as the Pentacle at large. I always enjoy reading multiple character viewpoints, and it keeps the story ticking along at a nice pace.
The steamy scenes are on point, and a couple of configurations I’ve been wanting to see happen made their way into this story. Totally worth the wait. I love the commitments these characters have to each other, and how they’re open and honest about how far they’re willing to go to protect it.
The tension is at an all-time high going into the last book, and I’m so ready to see how this story concludes-even if I’m not quite ready to say goodbye to these characters.

I received an advance copy from the author.

First, I’d just like to start by saying that, out of all of them so far, this is probably one of my favourite covers. And as for content – wow. We really are gearing up for the final showdown now. This will probably be a shorter review because there’s not much I can say that I haven’t said already. Like its predecessors, Grim Witchery was well written and plenty engaging, enough that I absolutely flew through it in one sitting. And there was even a little more action in this book, which made it all the more enjoyable.

There were also some surprising new developments that I didn’t see coming at all. I don’t believe that I would have been able to spot signs in previous books had I been informed about them ahead of time, but they aren’t so outlandish that they’re completely outside the realm of possibility either. And then with everything that happened at the end – including that totally mean ending – wow is really the only word to describe it. The equilibrium has once again been disrupted, and with only one more book left to go, I can’t even begin to imagine how everything will end. I just hope that the wait for the last book passes quickly.

Rory and her pentacle of scions have really grown since the first book. I love how tight and close they get as they continue on their journey and time at the university. They each are so loyal and protective of each other. Rory's willingness to show her true feelings, hope, and desire especially to their future was memorable. All were in agreement and solidarity. Left an indelible mark. I'm really glad they are all trying to achieve the same goal in the best subtle way as possible. Even with the scion's guard, it is still very difficult to go up against 5 full barons. Since Rory's mom return to the barons has escalated conditions in the non-magical community and her time with the joymancers have left internal marks in the way she handles betrayal. There was some surprises in the book. It's definitely wonderful to have another unexpected ally. I can't wait for book 8! I can't wait to learn more about Holden, Jude's magic/Uncle, Malcolm's sister, Malcolm's discovery, and if the scion can truly overcome the newest and biggest development in the barons' plan.

Audio book review

Book 7 in the series. I love this series so much. I couldn’t put it down. I finished it in a day. Eva wrote a series that will have you hooked. Lots of twits and turn . You will wonder what is next for Rory and her four mates . Rory gets a rude awakening concerning her mother, Baron Blackstone, and her mother’s plans for the Normal humans . Her mother and the other Barons has decided what will happen at Blood U . Not only that but also what will happen in town . Rory needs something to destroy her mother’s plans .Connor doesn’t want anything to do with his mother after what she put him through in book 6. Not only that but Jude is attacked . Rory finds a long lost second cousin from someone you will never expect . This story will have you listening till the very end . At the end of the story , the Nasty Barons are one down. Grab it and find out who gets killed .

Meg Sylvan and Stephen Dexter performance was fantastic. They both did all the POVs perfect . I couldn’t believe the audio finished Looking forward to the next one

The barons plan to loosen the controls around magic use around the Narys is just starting and any move Rory could make towards stopping the chaos could have deadly consequences for herself and the other scions who she loves. Will she be able to balance on the tightrope she finds herself on and protect everyone she loves - even her mother?

Wow - so much drama and danger as the stakes are getting higher and higher in their attempt to limit the damage that the Fearmancer community are unleashing on the general population. Several times I thought it would all come crashing down and they managed to do something clever in order to avoid it. The story ended on several dramatic evens and everything is building up towards some major actin in the next book in this series. Well written and addictive, I couldn't put it down as I just HAD to know what was going to happen next.

Loved it, obviously!

I felt that in this book Rory and the other scions were finally going into action against the Barons. So many things were done and I really enjoyed it.

Rory is amazing, as usual. Even with what her mother does, Rory still tries to avoid hurting her. She even felt bad about Connar's mother (and that one was a real b*tch).

Jude scared the hell out of me. He almost did something insane but thankfully Rory talked some sense into him. He's still my favorite.
Declan is also here to save the day, being all cautious and everything.
As for Connar, I'm happy for his brother. I cannot believe their parents knew he could be healed, but did nothing. Disgusting.
And Malcolm... I really hope he and Rory aren't related. I'm sure they're not but still, it scares me a little.

Now I cannot wait to read Vicious Arts and see if the scions will win the war against the Barons.

Pace Drops

I read the first few books within days, but I’ve been struggling for the past few books. This one took me weeks, because the pace drops off and you get stuck in this loop of nothing but blockades and sex. The plot is now crawling, and we haven’t had any forward progress, just backwards sliding, and the only thing that’s supposed to be propelling the plot is the relationship, but it’s already settled and boring. Even the parts that should have been exciting have dried up, because they glossed over things that should’ve been important, in order to give sex scenes their own chapters.

I’m not planning on finishing this series, but may eventually if I decide to try to find out the ending. If someone who has finished the series wants to let me know how it ends, that would be fantastic. Because I cannot slog my way through another one of these.

Unfortunate injury, united Scions, betrayal, unexpected allies, and a small victory are all the events in this book. It's action-packed with some tense moments that will make your heart race from worrying about the characters' safety.

Since we are almost reaching the end of the story, I just thought of highlighting one thing that has been bugging me off - the tracing spell on Rory.

If I'm not mistaken, the spell's range had been relaxed but not completely removed in book number two. After that, there's no mention of this anymore. I'm sure when Rory went over to rescue her mother thousands of miles away and went to Joymancer's HQ, it should alert the Blacksuits team for unauthorized movement!

I'm not sure about the night out with Jude in his apartment in New York tho. Maybe it's within the distance 😉.

Each book in this series has gotten progressively more intense than the last. The scions are showing their real feelings and power. They are complex and have complicated relationships with their families. The Barons have created havoc on campus and off and it's up to our scions to try to mitigate the damage. After this things will change and hopefully it will be for the good of the scions. I found myself holding my breath, on the edge of my chair during several spots in the book. I was so invested in this book that I only slept when my eyes started crossing. I highly recommend this series, read in order. I requested an advanced reader copy and am under no obligation to leave this review.

Book 7!

I don't even know how to begin. This book brings to light so many different aspects that it's hard to not get sucked in. Rory and her guys are making due with the options they are given but are still able to move forward in trying to stop the barons. And the part in the book where Malcolm finds his father and another baron in a precarious situation, let's just say I had a I knew it moment lol. And after that moment and what Malcolm was thinking I had a omg it can't be true moment. But even that couldn't top the information we learn about Connars brother and the way it all came together before the big cliff hanger. I am soooo excited to see where this final book takes us! Will Rory and her guys prevail? And if they do where does that leave their relationship?

There are a lot of things that change for them all. Secrets are revealed, dangerous plans are put into action and hard choices are made for their futures. It definitely keeps you guessing with all the twists and turns. The one thing that remains constant is the connection between them all.

There are some very heated meetings when they are not taking on their parents. There love for her is undeniable and none of them want to be forced to separate.

Just when you have hope for a happy future, more information comes to light that jeopardizes it all. It leaves you eager to read the next book.

I am voluntarily reviewing a copy I received.
