Well... almost none. Somehow, a group of gamers are the only ones hanging onto the last remnants of power three months after a mysterious worldwide outage.
Society has fallen into complete chaos. After weeks of digging, teenage tech-genius Simon Harper finally has the key. There’s only one problem. He has to get it to Waypoint, which is 500 miles away, and he has zero survival skills. To save the world, he must partner with one of his least favorite people. His perfect, all-American twin brother West.
Their plans go out the window. When their house is raided by military-style agents looking for the key, the brothers are forced to take separate routes. And, when two girls with secrets of their own tag along, the brothers must decide if trusting them is worth their lives. Can Simon survive the journey if the girl he’s falling for is actually the enemy he’s running from?

First of all, you definitely need to read these books before reading Heir of Arcadia. It would enhance your reading pleasure. This is a fun story with lots of action that says to people from all walks that it’s not bad to be a gamer but it’s also not bad to be a jock! Simon and West are twins but total opposites as far as likes and dislikes go. Simon is a nerd, and something of a social pariah, while West is a jock and very popular. And when it comes to saving the world they’re in it together. Enjoy.
West and Simon are brothers with very different interests. When the whole world goes dark and they witness a murder, they find themselves pulled into a puzzle of how to turn the lights back on. I am so glad I had the complete series at once because the story sucked me in from the first chapter. I enjoyed the fact that this was easy to read yet had complex storylines weaving together. The heroes happen to fall into step with the right contacts to get the power running again but nothing seems too easy or too unlikely and you find yourself turning pages quickly to find out if they will make it in time. I really enjoyed reading this series and look forward to checking out other books by these authors! *I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.*
A different take on a world without power that grabbed my attention and wouldn't release it. The characters are relatable especially the gamers but maybe that's because I'm a gamer
