This is book two in the Two Worlds series and follows Kay and her sister Nia as they have to start living up to the legend of the two sisters who will be the most powerful magic users in the dimension of Turgor. From being normal teenagers, Kay has joined her sister and grandfather in Turgor, every time she falls asleep on Earth. She has magical powers as an Awakener, whilst her sister is a Creator. Nia creates items or portals and then Kay can awaken these objects, adding strength, colour and even life to them. She attends school still in both locations, but on Turgor, she is being closely watched and tested, to find out the extent of her new skills.

There is a battle beginning, with beings called KaKonians, who want to take over Turgor and will kill anyone in their way. It seems there are also some in the magic Council that are against the sisters and the powers they may well hold, thinking them a danger to their very way of life. Their growing powers are considered far too dangerous and now even those that should be protecting them from the KaKonians are looking to have them killed. To keep the Council away from them, Kay especially has to hide how much power she has. She is just getting trained as a magical user and attending her Awakener classes, but her control is very varied. She was given an impossible task with her partner and neighbour Rena, to awaken a Death Walker, something someone as new to her skills as Kay, should never have been able to do.

They have a few friends and allies around them, but Nia is sure the Council are still on their side and will have to learn the hard way, exactly who is against them and the dangers they will all face. Survival for the sisters, their family and friends, all depends on how well Kay can control her new powers and work with the others to fight against their enemies. A big fight is coming and they will need to work all together to survive. A great addition to the series, adding to the skills Kay and Rena are working on. There are more characters being added to their side and their location is constantly changing. Transference is book 2 in the Two World series. Sisters Nia and Kay's powers grow stronger as do the threats against them and Turgor. Their allies are growing and include their precious Grandfather and a few others. Unfortunately, as war often does, it threatens to tear the Sisters apart.

Action-packed, with more twists, betrayal, mysteries, humor, lots of magic, and a little teenage angst, Transference is an engaging story that you will not want to put down. There is a wild revelation that I reacted to out loud.

Nia and Kay are very relatable as two young women coming into their own. Their relationship is realistically challenging, loving, and believable. They are loyal to one another, and even beyond their powers, know that they are more, together. Their Turgorian friends and allies feel real. They are beings that you want to get to know and to have watching your back. Things become interesting with Kris, and his mystery deepens. Dia is the best house ever, and she and Yolanda (AKA Lolo), are fantastic protectors and friends. All of the characters are endearing and memorable.

The next book in the series will have much to live up to as tensions and drama build. I can hardly wait!

Kay and Nia continue to develop their powers in Transference. Nia is a creator - she can make anything she wants to. Kay is an Awakener - she can awaken whatever Nia creates to perform its function. Together the sisters are destined to fulfill a prophecy to stop the KaKonians and save planet Turgor. Book 2 in the series ramps up the action. Kay and Nia are in danger - powerful forces want to stop them from ever fulfilling the prophecy. This book is well written and the plot is intriguing! I’m really enjoying this series! I highly recommend these books!

We have some mystery and action. Nia and Kay have strong magical powers. Kay still has to figure hers out. Nia trust the counsel and Kay does not. Will hit hurt their relationship? Kay has to do a extra credit report and is seeing what its like to hang out with peers, like her sister does. Can she have that and her life on Turgor? Can they defeat the KaKonians? What is going on with Kay and Kris? Who is really trying to stop them? Is it the Counsel? Is it just the KaKonians? Or is there a bigger power? There are so many threats will their small group be able to take care of them?

As Nia and Kay find their magical powers growing stronger, even some of their allies have turned against them, fearing their power may be too strong. KaKonians warriors are hunting them, and it may be best to hide for now to survive. They will need to master their new skills before they engage their enemies, or they could lose everything.

This is an enjoyable, exciting read. It starts with a bang and doesn’t let up. The action is gripping, the story line is fast-paced, with an intriguing plot and engaging characters. Highly recommended!

This is the 3rd book I've read written by Alisha Howard; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I can’t wait to read more of her books.

The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.
