I don’t give a f--k.
Not about money or fame, beauty or power. I’ve had all those things since birth, and trust me, they’re a fucking snooze.
I don’t give a fuck about anyone, not even myself.
Until my father proves evil can exist in the most holy of places.
For the first time ever, something like interest stirs in my soul.
He wants me to enroll at St. Augustine.
Join The Elite.
Court the virginal daughter of Archbishop Savoie.
Prove that I’m worth the family name?
I’ll do it all.
And I’ll do it so well, no one will know what’s coming.
People are so quick to underestimate the wicked and lazy.
They forget idle hands are the best tools for the devil’s work.
I am Rush Dempsey.
I am Sloth.

***** 4.5 Stars!!!!!*****

This was by far the most favourite book of mine in the series so far! I fell in love with Rush.. aka...Sloth... he was supposed to be just a lazy stoner who didn’t care about anything; and yet, he turned out to be the mastermind of all the Brothers and quite soulful as well. The way he immediately became protective over Isabelle was heartwarming... and how he cared for her and began to feel like he wanted to be a better man for her was inspiring! I have nothing bad to say about Rush!

This book was from an author whom I have never heard of but I definitely want to check out her other work. I really enjoyed her writing style and am intrigued to see if her other books are just as good!
The next book is the last one in the Elite series and I can’t wait to read the finale of this dark series. It has been a bumpy ride for sure... but definitely worth all of The highs and lows!

Thanks once again to my Buddy Reader partner, Steph! It has been wonderful having you to talk with about this series! We have made it to the end! Here’s hoping the last one blows us away!😬❤️

Genre: Romantic Suspense
Type: Book 6 of 7 from The Elite Seven series
POV: First Person - Dual
Rating:

Rush Dempsey never cared about anyone or anything until a life-defining moment pushed him towards a path he couldn’t come back from. His position in The Elite served a specific purpose which led to Isabelle Savoie and the beating heart of the secret society.

In past books, I liked how Sloth was “the chill one”. Here we learned about what he’s been doing when no one was paying attention. I liked the pairing with Isabelle, but I thought she turned around too quickly.

I fucked her hard from behind until she came all over my cock, washing me in her juices like a sexual baptism.

I have to say I struggled during most parts of the book. There wasn’t much going on and there’s lack of conflict between the main characters. The blasphemous element was a nice addition but wasn’t impactful - at least not when it came to the main characters.

He wasn’t all bad and I wasn’t all good. We could be both, maybe even together.

I also felt some of the scenes were disjointed because the series timelines were not distinctively established within the story. As for the story itself, I was very upset about a certain thing that happened due to lack of rationale.

Sloth is the penultimate book of The Elite Seven series. From the preview at the end of this book, I’m really hoping the series will end with a bang.

Sloth is yummy! I've been wanting to really meet this guy once I started seeing him in action in all of the other books. Who was this dude who always appeared right when his brothers needed someone? Who was this man who happened to know a lot more than everyone else? And what made him tick? I love Sloth, his motivations, his passions, and his huge change of heart.

She looked breakable; a China doll. Something a callous man could break easily in his rough, strong hands.
I licked my lips thinking about doing just that.

He comes across as indolent and irreverent, but there is so much hiding beneath the surface. He's brilliant, compassionate, fiercely protective, and incredibly sexy. Isabelle is a lucky girl. Every beautiful thing about Rush was there for the taking, waiting for someone to come along and bring them out, and this stunning woman with a heart of gold was the answer. She's the light to his dark, the saint to his sinner, and the perfect complement to his soul.

I could live there in that kiss, plundering that silken mouth, tasting the sunny essence of her on my tongue.

I wanted to fight every battle with Rush. I cheered for every one of his triumphs and can't wait for him to truly overcome every hardship and heartbreak he's ever had to deal with. He and his brothers more than deserve a happy ending and I'm so happy he's got such a fantastic girl by his side.

There was something about the bad boy across from me that called out to my soul.
I just had to be brave enough to call back to his.

The story of The Elite has become even more complex than I could have imagined and while we get a ton of answers and revelations in this book, it's easy to see that there is so much more to come. The biggest foes have fallen, but one evil stain still remains. With one banger of an ending, I can't wait to see how this series concludes with Greed!

description Since I always strive to be 100% honest in my reviewing, I will admit that I am kind of over this series. It's been a bit of a hot mess of way too much OW stuff (for my tastes), confusing timelines, and a lot of repetition. At the same time I feel this compulsion to see keep going and see where this is all going to end. (lol) And there has been a few good parts throughout (so there is that).

description

After the last book which was by FAR the best book of the series I had high hopes that the series would end with a bang. This book was more like a sputtering firecracker. Now don't get me wrong. I actually liked this one (mostly), and this author gets HUGE props for being only the second book with no pointless OW sex scenes (yay). But it didn't really advance the storyline a lot and was a bit confusing. Since there is only one more book, I expected more action, and answers. However, I did enjoy that this book focused more on the romance which most of the previous ones lacked. But I wasn't a fan that the heroine was older (bleh). And finally, that ending had my interest sparked BIG TIME. So I have my fingers crossed the last book will pull the proverbial rabbit from the hat and give us all a fantastic and satisfying ending.

Rush Dempsey was raised with the prestige of wealth and power, expected to uphold the family name. However, upon becoming a member of The Elite, Rush is looking to make an impression in a sinfully different way. As the saying goes, laissez les bons temps rouler.

“I’m on a mission, and I won’t stop until each and every one of those motherfuckers is brought to justice for what they’ve done.”

In previous books, Rush is on the periphery, but seems to have a pulse on all that has occurred. Getting his POV and a sense of his motives reveals the reasons behind his enigmatic character. As for Rush and Isabelle Savoie, while it happens fast, Rush has a satisfyingly dirty mouth that is blasphemous. Isabelle finally shows she has a backbone and offers Rush what he needs.

“You fixed me with your holy pussy.” “Rush,” she squealed, pushing me into the confessional as we passed it. “You’re impossible.”

Regarding the ongoing Elite plot, much happens in this book. While some interesting plot points develop, the pace is quick. However, one particular scene made me question the intentions of all the Elite and how they differ from their predecessors. Somehow, I still hold some hope that the impossible might happen.

Sloth is about revenge and finding purpose. I am curious to read Greed, the final volume of this series, to see how twisted it will all end.

This book has me on the fence a bit. On one hand, I enjoyed the story and getting to see some events from a different perspective. But on the other, I felt like there wasn't enough explanation to things involving Rush. He was such a mysterious character in the previous books and I really thought he would have some kind of epic story but sadly that just didn't happen for me.

There was almost more of a romance in this book than any of the previous ones since Rush was by far the sweetest hero and didn't go out of his way to hurt the heroine. Which has been the theme of most of these books so far. But again, there wasn't enough explanation or scenes with Rush and Isabelle together for me to truly feel that romance.

So really the book wasn't dark, not very romantic, and honestly a bit confusing at times when I was trying to keep up with where we were in timeline. Maybe if things were fleshed out a little more I would have really enjoyed it, but as is this book was only okay for me and didn't seem to add all that much to the overall series. It ended with a scene we already saw with just one smaller scene that was new, which provided the shocking ending, but I wanted more so that it felt like we were actually getting new information and not just the same information we found out in the previous books. It wasn't much of a surprise for me since that's what I was expecting to be revealed in either this book or Greed but I can say that after this ending I'm really excited to see how the next book will turn out.

❝ I'm on a mission and I won't stop until each and every one of those motherfuckers is brought to justice for what they've done.❞

Sloth by giana darling

Rush Dempsey had a purpose and a reason to be in the Elite.  He wanted vengeance and knew the only way to get it was to be part of this secret society.  He meets Isabelle Savoie when he was assigned to his task and he knew that he will never be the same after that.

❝ The moment our mouths met, everything else fell away.  There was nothing but the gentle, absurdly erotic church mouse trapped in my embrace.❞

Sloth was mysterious and quiet on the previews books, I wanted to know more about him.  His past was sad and painful, I felt for him.  I liked him and Isabelle together, I felt they were perfect for each other except it just felt like too fast for my liking, like too insta-love type of story.  I was hoping their relationship had more development and more depth.

❝ I looked into his eyes, the beautiful gaze of a man who looked like a fallen angel with the morals of a sinner and an imperfect human heart.❞

I had very high hopes for this book considering is closer to the end of the series except I was utterly disappointed.  At first the timeline was off, it was confusing and I felt there were things that needed more explaining.  Also, the insta love just didn't worked for me, it kind of made the story boring.  And lastly one of my favorite characters didn't get justice and in all honestly I am pretty angry and upset at how this book ended.  I truly hope the authors twist the story around and end the last book with a mind fuck or I will have a fit for the rest of the year.

Overall; the lack of information and rationality to some events in the story made this book disappointing to me.  Sloth is book six of The Elite Seven series, I only hope that the final book comes out with a huge bang and conclusion that will keep me glued to the pages and would leave me speechless but in a good way, if you know what I mean haha.

5 My Salvation CROWNS

Rush Dempsey owns my heart, soul, and body. Giana Darling has breathed new life back into this series!

Rush is all the things I love in a hero - vengeful, broken, sexy as sin, and yet honorable underneath his bad boy persona. It is my kryptonite, and I can never resisit. Not that I would ever want to resist the man who is Rush Dempsey.

Isabelle, like most of Giana's heroines, comes across as weak at times, but their is strength in her ability to endure, in her growth as a character, and in her ability to finally take a stand against those who have wronged her and attempt to control her.

Sloth is everything I wanted from this series. A new generation of Elite who embody their sin while balancing right and wrong. The plot centering around the new class taking down the corrupt and vile, while romancing their ladies. IT WAS PERFECTION, and EVERYTHING I WANTED FROM THIS SERIES. I never wanted to let them go.

I had no doubts that Giana Darling's Sloth would knock my socks off. Her writing never fails to amaze me, and her characters always draw me in with their romance and intense chemistry.

This series is so good. Now Ker Dukey and K Webster need to bring it home with Greed. I can’t wait to read it. The men are sinners and the women their saints, but the evil they are facing next has me so wrapped up in these stories. I need more!!

Giana Darling has slayed it in Sloth. This is undoubtedly my favourite story in the Elite Seven series. She has excelled in every aspect of this unbelievably shocking dark read. The storytelling is flawless. Sloth and his love Isabelle's character were perfection. She captured the essence of the series with her captivating writing. The sinners , the saints, the revenge, the passion, the mystery, the mind games, the power plays- simply absolutely mindblowing brilliance.

The epic series is coming to an end and the puzzle pieces need to come together now. I was really interested in reading how Giana does that in Sloth. She is one of my favourite authors and she can write a mean dark romance for sure. She didn't disappoint me at all. The rollercoaster ride was worth all the panic attacks, tears and nailchewing I did while reading. Sloth aka Rush Dempsey is my most favorite sin now. He is the lethal combination of brain, patience, sexiness and determination. The centuries old corrupt rotten society is falling apart and Rush has a significant role to play in everything. I am intrigued , spellbound, captivated and mesmerized by this man. He can be a calculating risk taker and emotionless game player. And he can be a protective, emotional and empathetic person who can do anything for his brothers and the woman he loves.

Isabelle is the woman who brought Rush to his knees. The apparently innocent and pure daughter of the Archbishop is actually a power house of passion, compassion and strength. She walked through the burning hell and came out stronger with help of Rush. The other elite seven characters occupied a sizable chunk of the book as the plot is slowly unravelled and the secrets get exposed. The shocks never stopped coming and my jaw is hurting from hitting the floor way too many times. And then came that ending! You are not ready for it. Not at all. Giana Darling packed some potent punches here.

Sloth by Giana Darling is the best story in the dark, revolting and mysterious world of Elite Seven. It sucked me in and left me breathless.I am still dazed and reeling from all the shocking revelations and sharp turns in the story. You cannot miss this angsty, raw, violent and amazing creation by Giana Darling! Must read dark romance of 2019.

The Elite Seven- Sloth by Giana Darling
GENRE: Romance Suspense/ Dark Romance
NARRATION: Dual POV
BOOK DETAILS: Book#6 in The Elite Seven Series by multipole authors

THE STORY
Rush Dempsey aka Sloth has a mission to destroy the Elite after he believes the had a play in his mother’s death. They say keep your friends close and your enemies even closer and that is what Rush does to get as close to the truth as he can.

Rush ticket into the Elite is to complete his chosen task but Sloths tasks involves the innocent little church mouse Isabelle Savoie. Is he willing to corrupt her to destroy the elite?

description

MY REVIEW
I did not know what to expect when it came to Sloth - In all the previous books he is very mellowed and mysterious, always lurking in the shadows - to be honest in the past books he has creeped me out a bit. Getting to know him and his backstory brings to light a new character and a new impression.

No slow burn in this story, it’s basically instant love with Rush and Isabella, which is disappointing because the chase is my favorite part. I felt the timeline was a little off from the past books but liked the fact that we didn’t have to read a play by play again of every event as by book 6 we all get it.

❝ I looked into his eyes, the beautiful gaze of a man who looked like a fallen angel with the morals of a sinner and an imperfect human heart. ❞

Isabella crossed to the dark side a little too easily for my liking and I didn’t really get a good feel for Sloths dark persona, I thought he was heroic, broken and vengeful but definitely not bad.
Although I didn’t enjoy this installment as much as the others in the series I am dying to know how it all ends, and I know the two K; s will sure make it dark, twisted and sure to end the series with a bang.

They forget idle hands are the best tools for the devil’s work.
I am Rush Dempsey.
I am SLOTH

After finishing book 5, Gluttony I, probably was expecting more from this one.
In the other books in this series Sloth was the weed smoking laid back one, so it was a bit surprising to read what he was doing/working on.

The way the Old Elite is being handled by the New Elite is fast paced although there were some errors in the story line.

Isabelle, raised by her Archbishop father (how is it even possible for an Archbishop to have a child?) with a firm hand and God, IMO shedding her Church Mouse persona was too fast.

I did not hate Sloth's story, but it was definitely not my favourite.
I liked that certain questions have been answered but would like to see them explained. I do hope the uncertainty will be cleared in the last book.
And Envy? I wonder.....

Part of the The Elite Seven Series and are best enjoyed when read in order.
Ker Dukey:“ The stories are connected. The love stories are complete in each book, but the back story carries on throughout the series.”

In many ways this book tied up a lot for this series and I loved it. I can't wait to read how Greed's story is intertwined with all that we know. Rush was a great character to learn about and Isabelle is the type of female character that I absolutely love! Can't wait to see how it all ends!!

Loved both main characters, probably my favorite of the seven. Sloth was originally set to be the last book in The Elite series and you can see how much care was taken to tie all the plot lines together. Unfortunately the series got shifted so this became sixth instead of seven. The last few chapters reflect how those two plot lines (Sab and The King of NOLA) had to be unraveled for book seven. Hoping for a great ending in the final book.

✨ DREAMY’S REVIEW ✨

Giana Darling is seriously an amazing, talented, and inspiring writer! The moment I picked up Sloth, I could NOT put it down! I had to devour it in one sitting, savor each and every well thought-out word she has written, and take in everything that happened!

I can’t ever put into words how utterly perfect Rush Dempsey’s story was from beginning to end! She truly captured him and his sin so perfectly!

His story... omg!!! My heart! OH MY HEART! I can’t even, I truly can’t!

Sloth is something else entirely from what I first was thinking in the beginning! You know when you read a series and the character is just being introduced and you make assumptions about how he is? Then as the series progress, you still have that SAME though process? Only me? Okay!

“I was my prestigious family’s biggest disappointment and eternally appointed black sheep.”

Well, let me tell you that Sloth has had my attention since the start and I heard him loud and clear! Although he truly embodied his sin, there is something there about him that you cannot deny! He’s smart and he cares and he shows up exactly when you need him! And even though he seemingly is like a Sloth, nope, you are wrong... very wrong.

“The why of it was simple. It was the who, how, and when of it that proved the puzzle.”

His mind is a masterpiece! He’s always had an agenda and something to fight for, and I had a feeling about it from the start! He is brilliant and utterly captivating!

How will I even move forward from this?!? How I am to recover from devouring this truly all-consuming story!?!?!

The twist, turns, truths, utter shock, emotion, angst, rawness, steam, and darkness to light has me in a major book hangover!!!

“And I realized with sudden brilliant and tender shock, that I had found that something, against all odds, at St. Augustine’s with a sinner and group of broken saints.”

If you have NOT picked up this series yet, IT IS A MUST! You will be blown away every single time!

Five OMG dreamy stars: 💫💫💫💫💫

"Brothers over sin.
The message was clear: No. One. Fucks. With. My. Brothers."

Goosemotherfuckingbumps.
GIANA DARLING KILLED IT!!! She brought all the twisted pieces together, threw down the gauntlet, and cemented the brotherhood. Outstanding addition to The Elite Series. I was hooked from the very start. This is book six, Guys, make sure you've read the other books first.

Sweet Jesus, Sloth is 🔥! I'm not one for lusting after the youngins, but I couldn't help myself. I stole that cradle and laughed all the way to hell. Dirty talking, panty melting, heart snatcher. Ah. I need him to take me to church to repent.

"I can be your God, darlin’, but my religion is about worshipping every inch of your body and having you pray at mine.”

Is it hot in here? Where's my vagina fan when I need it. Ok, so. On to the story. Rush is hot. Okay. I'm done. This book dives into every dark crevice, reaching in and grabbing all the answers we so desperately want and need. This series has been a huge mystery since the first book, tons of unanswered madness, manipulation, revenge, and definitely sorrow. Sloth's book is like the knockout punch. Made me want to jump up and yell at the top of my lungs. YOU FUCKED UP NOW! I was all kinds of hyped up, on cloud ten, watching all the beautiful destruction happen. I absolutely loved every single moment of this one. I think Giana Darling added all the right emotions and punches to quench our thirst. An amazing addition to The Elite Seven!

***5 ‘I Like to Have Context for My Sins’ Stars***

Well, then….

*Takes a moment*

As with the previous books in this series, this one has definitely left me satisfied on side of the coin and hanging & wanting more on the other and considering that we have one book left, well, there are still a fuckton of things left to deal with…

But on to Sloth & his Church mouse.

After Gluttony aka God, Sloth aka Rush has been the ‘brother’ who has intrigued me the most. His lack of appearing to care and yet always being “there” at just the right moment made him an enigma. So finally being able to get inside his head was a lot of fun. The guy is not as unaffected as some would believe and a lot more highly motivated. I adored Isabelle. There is a confidence to her and I loved watching it grow as the story progressed as truths were exposed that forced her to make some big decisions about her life and future. As for their journey to their HEA, I thoroughly enjoyed it and them and considering all the crazy that has gone with the previous couples, I’m just gonna leave it at that.

The crazy, dark, dirty and disturbing were on point in this one, and as with the others, some questions/issues were dealt with, while others are still open, but I was more or less satisfied. As for the other brothers and their women, at least those who have them, I loved seeing how far they’ve all come and just how much of a ‘family’ they’re becoming. But now to wait for what is shaping up to be one hell of a finale with Greed!

One thing I really like about this series is that the books all take place during overlapping timelines. So each book builds on what the previous books set up. Things are finally wrapping up and the guys are seriously taking out members of the Elite... one by one. I like Rush because he is totally the opposite of his title. Sloth is supposed to be lazy but Rush is seriously motivated and the laziness seems to be on vacation in this book. Isabelle isn't quite what I expected her to be. I expected her to put up more of a fight when her father and the Elite reveal their plans for her. She just follows Rush and his plan with no real spunk of her own. She does attempt to grow a backbone later in the book but still seems to be a follower. Sabella's reappearance is quite the dramatic moment. I was happy to see that she got to have her say. Sebastian's punishment was a bit extreme but then again so were his actions. I am really not used to books that are so dark and full of evil like this. However, I am drawn to this series and I intend to finish it up.

An EXCLUSIVE Sneak Peak

“You’re nervous. What are you afraid I’m going to do to you?” I asked her.
She licked her lips. “I think it’s more what I’m afraid I’m going to do to you.”
I swallowed my chuckle. “Oh?”
She faced me, a miserable expression on her face as she nodded. “I really want to kiss you right now.”
I raised both my hands wide. “By all means.”
“The only boy I’ve kissed was a choir boy when I was twelve and I called it ‘slime and daggers’ after that,” she admitted artlessly.
Fuck me, but I loved her candor.
“It won’t be like that this time,” I promised her huskily. “This time will be like… silk and sunshine.”
“I didn’t figure you as being romantic,” she breathed as she angled herself into the waiting cage of my arms.
I closed them around her tightly, one around her small waist and another fisted in her riot of long, soft curls.
“I’m not,” I said against her satin lips, teasing us both. “I’m more of a fire and brimstone man, myself.”
She giggled and the sweet sound went straight to my dick.
“It’s you that’ll bring the silk and sunshine,” I said as I flicked my tongue over the seam of her lips. “I’ll bring the heat.”
She gasped softly and I took the opportunity to tighten my fist in her hair, angling her head so that I could seal my mouth to hers in a conquering kiss.
My tongue slid inside her sweet mouth and I knew instantly that I’d been right.
I could live there in that kiss, plundering that silken mouth, tasting the sunny essence of her on my tongue.
The moment our mouths met, everything else fell away.

As the sixth book in the series, the author wastes no time into getting into the heart of Rush "Sloth" Dempsey's story. Rather than rehash the background of the Elite, which every reader who has gone this far into the series, should already know, she did a quick character glossary upfront, which I actually appreciated. There are a lot of converging stories in this book as the series is one book from completion, and a lot of character names are thrown around, so this glossary was a great reference.

There is a small prologue about Rush's past, which explains some of his hatred towards his father, and that comes into play with his task for the Elite. While this task had similarities to other tasks from the group, destroying someone/something, this was different in that it was directed at someone who was connected to the Elite. On top of that, the woman in question was more of a willing participant in the task.

Isabelle Savoie doesn't come off as the typical heroine. As daughter to the town's Archbishop, she's been forced to follow a strict tailored life, with no color, no fun. With her virgin status and ties to the church, she becomes the target for men seeking political power. And for her, it is pretty much the last straw. When Sloth, who has nicknamed her Church Mouse, presents her with a chance to take a ride on the wild side, she jumps in with two feet.

Church Mouse: You said to text you for a good time. Well, laissez les bons temps rouler.

Although I liked Rush and Isabelle as a couple, and liked their honesty with one another, I didn't connect to them. So for me, the romance was secondary to the steps Rush and his "brothers" were finally taking to go up against the Elite. I won't spoil things as to what goes down, but it was nice to see these guys come together and develop a plan to stop the madness.

While I wouldn't classify this book as dark, there are two disturbing scenes in dealing with two members of the Elite. I personally thought both were deserved, just wanted to give other readers a heads up that justice for these men, isn't always on the legal/moral side of things.

Overall, I liked the direction this book took to begin wrapping things up, and given the cliffhanger at the end, I'm eager to see how K. Webster and Ker Dukey bring the series to conclusion with Greed's story.

Jesus Christ! I feel like I've been shot. This is nuts.

I can't feel my legs, my hands, my freaking brain cells. Rush & Isabelle's story simply left me numb and super dumbfounded. I still can't realize what I finished reading last night. Poof. Mind. Blown !!

Giana is a first timer for me and one of those authors that I wanted like hell to meet. The praises I have heard about her work is plain award-worthy. And, now, I can understand the why completely.

Rush, aka "Sloth", probably can win easily the award for the most mysterious and intriguing characters out of the Seven. From the very first moment I met him in Pride until before I got my hands on his own story, he kept creating enough tension, intensity, and secret gaps to make you greedy to know him detailedly better and being unable to get him off your mind until you do. And when that happens, you are left speechless and fall hard for him in a blink of an eye. And speaking of falling, Isabelle might won fairly the world record of falling hard for Rush. Since their very first eye contact, you could feel the energy flowing between them in tons. And when they finally became one, that energy got deep roots and foundations, but also it got skyrocketed. Madness. Shivers. L O V E!

I don't know how, but these seven authors created the most unbelievable, insane, addicting series in all the book land. These authors writing The Elite Seven, in reality, they became themselves The Elite Seven. A series beyond anything you could ever imagine and when it comes to me, with each book, it kept calling a deeper and darker part of me that I didn't even know existed. The magnitude of what this series is, it's simply untouchable with the human logic. I can't really explain what this series is making feel.  Each new ground-shaking, shocking, crazy, makes-my-blood-run-cold development that accompanies each hero's story made it feel crazier and crazier. I lost count how many times I either cringed or my eyes got super wide or my heart skipped 10 beats with the dark-black scenes.

I feel so sad and devastated that there is only one book left for this series's THE END. I just don't want for it to end. If it could continue forever, I would be the happiest woman on earth. The world, the characters, the EVERYTHING of The Elite needs to live eternally. Don't get me wrong, I am waiting at the very edge of my seat to F I N A L L Y read Micah's true love story with Evie. But still, it's always sad when a phenomenal thing comes to its finale.

Sloth is the sixth book in the The Elite Seven series. I have never read anything by this author and really never heard of her so I truly had no idea what to expect. While it was not my favorite book in the series, it was definitely one of the decent reads.

Throughout the previous books, Sloth has been portrayed as this nonchalant, chill guy who just slides on through life and nothing really phases him. We finally get to see what he's really been doing that whole time but also see him react to something with more than a head nod.

While I enjoyed learning more about Rush/Sloth, I felt the overall plot felt too easy and that Isabelle went to him too willingly. Her demeanor changed too quickly for being this quiet, goody-two-shoes. I did enjoy the pairing of these two, I just didn't get the insta-love - it felt more like lust.

As for moving the overall plot forward, I felt we learned very little and just saw everything from Rush's POV. And while some questions were answered, it still feels like a whole hell of lot has to happen in order for this series to feel complete.

I am really hoping that the next and final book does not let us down and rush through how this all ends.

This series will rock your world!! This is the culmnation of all the sins and all their sacrifice. It’s not over yet, but the brothers want their revenge.

I didn’t quite know where the author would take us in this continuing saga of romantic suspense...it was fantastic!

Rush was just incredibly sexy, commanding and so much more expressive than I expected. He was such a hot, swoony surprise. He was just MORE of everything.

Isabelle is completely sheltered and has been groomed by her father and the church. They expect a life of devotion and unquestioned obedience. Once she meets Rush, her life is turned upside down.

There was so much chemistry between the two. You just can’t help but adore Rush. And when they cane together it was like going up in flames!!! So HOT!

As always, expect the unexpected. Secrets will be exposed. Lives forever changed. Sinners will need to atone for their sins.

I am looking forward to the final book in the series. I need to know how it ends!!!
