Lady Willow Arlington, hauntingly lovely, is blind and known by the ton as the dowry-less daughter. Alasdair Morley, the Marquess of Westcliffe, is in need of an heiress, but Lady Willow should be the last person he craves after she was persuaded to reject his offer of marriage when he was a mere third son. Passion reignites between them, and he makes an enticing offer she cannot resist, drawing them into a dance of desire and love despite the misgivings in his heart.
THE DUKE AND I
Far be it for a lady to desire, hatch, and execute a daring seduction of a notorious duke at a masquerade ball. But Miss Emmaline Fitzgerald, a wallflower with no decent prospect, was on such a path, and her quarry was her brother's best friend, Elliot Winthrop, the Duke of Hartford.
One moment of sin, stolen pleasure and irresistible passion, that was all it was supposed to be….
Little did Emma realized everything about her was imprinted in Elliot’s heart and mind, and her scandalous ruse was about to change and challenge everything she thought she knew about herself and the devilish duke.
THE VISCOUNT AND I
After jilting first a fortune hunter, then a lying libertine, Lady Fanny Dashwood has given up on marrying for love. This time it will be strictly business – a man who’ll agree to her terms, give her the children she craves, but will not trouble her heart.
Sebastian Rutledge, Viscount Shaw, has desired Lady Fanny from afar for years. However, he is a factory owner with a new title – not nearly good enough for an earl’s daughter. Until a dream opportunity arises: a marriage of convenience with the woman of his dreams. Even as their growing passion unleashes in the bedchamber, his new wife remains at arm’s length. Could a wellborn lady ever fall for an unconventional lord?
I am an unapologetic romance lover. I read it. I write it. Enough said. Well..I also have a warrior way "Never give up on my dreams." I spend a copious amount of time drooling over Rick Grimes from Walking Dead, watching Japanese anime and playing video games with my love, Dusean.
Duke & I 4.5 Stars Miss Emmaline Fitzgerald is twenty five & used to enjoy life to the full until a curricle race left her badly injured & it was feared that she wouldn’t walk again but determination & strength of will allowed her to recover well enough to walk albeit with a stick. She’s also been in love with Elliot Winthrop the local doctor’s son but then Elliot finds that he’s the Duke of Hartford. So Emma plans a daring seduction of the notorious duke at a masquerade ball. One night of sin, stolen pleasure and irresistible passion, that was all it was supposed to be & left them both wanting more A short novel that had me engrossed, the characters were well developed & the attraction between Elliot & Emma sizzled. However I loved that Emma had fought all odds to recover but was still afraid to live & it took Elliot to finally open her eyes. The ballroom scene had me welling up, his faith & love for her was so touching. I read this on a train journey & wanted my journey to be longer so that I could have finished it in one sitting!
Viscount & I 5 Stars After jilting first a fortune hunter, then Harry Basil, Marquis of Trent, a lying libertine, Lady Fanny Dashwood has given up on marrying for love. This time it will be strictly business – a man who’ll agree to her terms, give her the children she craves, but will not trouble her heart. Sebastian Rutledge, Viscount Shaw, has desired Lady Fanny from afar for years. However, he is a factory owner with the nickname of the Iron King & he’s not nearly good enough for an earl’s daughter. Until a dream opportunity arises: a marriage of convenience with the woman of his dreams. Another well written page turning book from the author. The characters have plenty of depth & I really liked both Fanny & Sebastian, she’s the oh so proper lady & he’s the brawny commoner. He’s been smitten with Fanny since their first meeting but never thought she would look at him. She’s fancied herself in love twice before but has never felt the tingles & desire before. Fanny isn’t the delicate lady & Sebastian isn’t uncouth, the more they get to know each other the more they realise appearances can be deceptive. I was swept away reading this long novella & read it in a sitting, a lovely story of learning to love unconditionally. I read these books individually & thrilled they have been ‘put together’ in a boxset
Just getting around to my review of the "Forever Yours Series Bundle" by Stacy Reid. I thought the first three books were very nice, especially loved the Viscount and I. Nicely done SR and looking forward to reading the next series bundle.
I loved these three books in the first boxset of the series “Forever yours”. I love Stacy Reid’s way of pulling me into her stories and making me feel all of her characters troubles and doubts but also their beautiful love for each other.
The Marquess and I is about childhood love, social standings, forgiveness and disability (the heroine is blind). Beautiful story:)!
The Duke and I is about the same subjects but the heroine has been in a carriage accident and walks with a cane and often needs her wheelchair. Her disability is very much similar to “My darling Duke” without the burn scars. I loved this story but the heroine annoyed me with her often questioning the hero’s love and intentions.
The viscount and I was my favorite book of these three and it is about sex and love and all of the misconceptions that happens in a marriage between a dukes daughter born into the ton and a self made businessman inheriting the title of viscount.
I can definitely recommend these books separately or together in this boxset. Just know that the books as a series is about the themes. The couples and characters are not recurring in the other books.
What can be better than a book by Stacy Reid? Three books in one bundle by her!!! Prepare to fill your heart with sigh worthy stories that will make you smile as you turn the last page!!
The Duke and I - I love when authors write about characters who are damaged or disabled. You may ask why in the world? Because I love to see them healed through love and devotion where they can be more than they ever thought to be! Such is the case with our heroine, Emma Fitzgerald who had an accident which affected her walking. She had been in love with Elliot Winthrop her brother's best friend forever but when he returned after being away, he became a Duke and she felt he was beyond her reach. Wanting to remove herself and go live with her sister, she was determined for one night with Elliott in secret. You see she was attending a masquerade ball and felt this would be her chance. What she does not know is Elliott's feelings for her.. An emotional story that will warm your heart and have to cheering for Emma and Elliot. Stacy Reid does it again!!
The Viscount and I - As I turned the last page at 2:00 in the morning, I could not help but smile and know I might dream about this novella. I loved the premise of this story, with the heroine, Lady Fanny Dashwood determined not to marry for strictly money reasons. That is, her money, their reasons! The opening begins with Fanny going to the church to attend her wedding to a man she thinks has true affection for her. But she overhears him talking to his mistress and being excited about the baby they will have! Okay, that definitely pulled me in and at that moment I knew I loved Fanny for leaving him at the alter! But her brother is pushing her to marry and she comes up with a solution. Sebastian (yes one of my favorite names, sigh) Rutledge, Viscount Shaw is considered a commoner. He works for his living and does not have the manners of growing up privileged. But he has desired Fanny since he first saw her a couple of years ago, but feels he is far beneath her notice. Until, Fanny comes up with a scheme for them to be married as a convenience. But as they spend time together, their explosive chemistry ignites and it cannot be contained. This story is so typical of Stacy Reid's magical writing. A beautiful love story that will engage the heart.
The Marquis and I - A second chance romance with a twist. Young and in love, Alasdair and Willow thought they might be together forever. But Willow's father refuse to let her marry Alasdair because he was only a third son. Six years later Alisdair is back from war and is now the Marquess and looking for a wife. Meeting Willow again, he finds a lot has changed with her that cannot be repaired. Can they now find that spark again they had long ago? This one really touched my heart with Willow's problem but you will have to see how it all turns out.
I loved Willow and Alasdair's story. It is a second chance romance, which is one of my favorites.
When they were younger, Willow's father wold not allow her to marry Alasdair who at the time was a third son. They both go on with their lives. During that time, Willow is in an accident and loses her sight and Alasdair joins the military, loses his brothers and becomes the heir.
When they finally meet again, Alasdair is set on revenge. But as he spends time with Willow, he realizes that his feelings haven't changed. Can these two find their HEA?
The Duke and I
I loved Emma and Elliot's story!! All Emma wanted was one night with the man she loved knowing that nothing could ever come from it. I like a woman who goes after what she wants!! I loved that Elliot knew who Emma was even with the mask on because he was so attuned to her.
A very sensual read! Go and get it now!!
The Viscount and I
I loved Sebastian and Fanny's story!!
After 2 failed attempts at finding her true love, Fanny has given up on marrying for love. So when Sebastian approaches her about a marriage of convenience, she accepts his offer, and resigns herself to a loveless marriage.
Sebastian has loved Fanny from afar for years, but never thought he was good enough for her. After she jilts her second betrothed, her reputation is in tatters. This might be his only chance at securing Fanny as a wife and he is ecstatic when she excepts his proposal.
Sebastian married for love, but for Fanny, this is a marriage of convenience. Can Sebastian turn their growing passion into the loving marriage he craves to have with Fanny?
This was a great addition to Reid's Forever Yours series. I was so enthralled, it had me reading until the early morning hours when I should have been sleeping.
An excellent series bundle that includes three wonderful historical romances. Included are: The Marquess and I (Forever Yours, #1) is a beautiful romance. A sweet and emotional second chance at love story. With a bit of steam, a touch of drama and a heavy dose of heartbreak this book gives us the romance between Alasdair and Willow. These two were torn apart years ago when Willow's father demanded she marry a wealthier man of a better position. Now years later, they cross paths again and they have both changed. Can they work through the hurts of the past to embrace the HEA they were denied years ago? Grab a copy to find out. I greatly enjoyed this charming book, the realistic heroine that was portrayed in it and the man that loved her just as she was. The Duke and I is a very engaging book. This powerful, emotional story is a second chance at love for Emma and Elliot. Their romance is steamy and beautiful. The love and pain that these two share is deep and your heart will ache for each of them. I love when an author pushes boundaries and creates realistic, imperfect characters. Emma is that type of character and it was a pleasure to meet her and Elliot, who could see past those imperfections. The Viscount and I is a very enjoyable and entertaining historical novella. Fanny and Sebastian's romance is fun, steamy and heartfelt. I loved the chemistry between these two and the opposites attract angle. She is a Lady and he is a commoner. This does not deter the spark and sizzle that brews between them. Fanny has had her heart broken before and is determined not to risk it again. She must admit, to herself though, that no one has made her feel quite the way Sebastian does. Sebastian has wanted Fanny since the first moment he laid eyes on her. However, he feels he is not good enough and that she is deserving of someone better than him. When a marriage of convenience unites them, both their eyes and hearts will be opened by the other. With sweet romance, gentle tenderness, hot passion, and beautiful love.
The Marquess and I An enjoyable read. I loved the characters and I must say that every story I’ve read by Stacey Reid has been an engaging read. Looking forward to the next in the series. The Duke and I This book illustrates what it was like for a lady to have a disability at this time. She would be tucked away at the country mansion away from society. Emma Fitzgerald had to prove herself to be a strong woman to fight against the mollycoddling of her parents and brother. Elliot Ashbrook, Duke of Hartford has always loved Emma but she discouraged him due to her physical disability. The first part did seem a little slow but after the masquerade, events moved at a pace. I thought the ballroom scene, near the end, was particularly poignant. This was an engaging read. I received a copy and have voluntarily reviewed it. This is my honest review. I have also purchased a copy for my kindle. The Viscount and I Lady Fanny has been raised to be a gentile lady, as befits her station. Due to a set of circumstances, Fanny finds herself married to Sebastian Rutledge, Viscount Shaw. Sebastian is a self made, very wealthy man, who has wanted Fanny for many years. However he feels he too rough in his ways for such a lady. I loved their story, how brave Fanny was to decide her own fate and go against her family’s wishes and Sebastian remained essentially himself although he was mindful of Fanny’s sensibilities. Their voyage of getting to really know each other was a joy to read. I always know when I see Stacy Reid as the author I’m going to enjoy the book. This was a delightful read, ideal for a relaxing afternoon. I received a copy and have voluntarily reviewed it. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
The Marquess and I I originally read this as part of an anthology and then I re-read it. It did not lose any of its power for me. I loved both Alasdair and Willow. They never stopped loving each other and their “re-learning” each other over time was a wonderful experience that made me sigh. I could feel their emotions through the story. A beautiful read.
The Duke and I This is a fun and flirty story that will make you feel good. Emma is all about being noble and telling Elliot that he needs someone better than her (even though she loves him)…for ten years! But love cannot be undone in Elliot’s mind and her boldness at a ball is all he needs to convince him that she is his to love. But Emma has others plans. “No” is her go to word but Elliot will not take that as a finality. Elliot, he is tenacious, kind, caring, loving, and wicked. Yeah, he is the one. My only wish is that the story was longer.
The Viscount and I Ladies aren’t supposed to be wanton – at least that is what they are lead to believe. Fanny wants more but is too innocent to know what to ask for after her hasty marriage to Sebastian. Sebastian, who is definitely swoon-worthy, is kind of a brute but with a heart of gold and knows that even though he realizes right away that he cannot live without Fanny he must curb is appetites, at least for now. Can Sebastian wait out his innocent new wife or will he stray? Even though this is a novella you still get the sense of the love that can develop with patience and kindness. As always, Ms. Reid’s write a compelling story that keeps your attention.
Some spoilers in this review, but probably no surprises if you are a regency romance fan. Two less than perfect ladies and one that is very ignorant in the ways of love. These three heroines made for a lovely afternoon of reading and enjoying the affairs of three young women of the ton who are shunned because they somehow don’t measure up to what society experts of them. Not to worry! They are all confident and strong and not afraid to go out and find what and who they want. Our heroes are not perfect either, but each one is perfect for their lady. The best thing about each story was that the couples were aware of the love they had for each other early on in each novella. It was just a matter of time before they acknowledge their loo and move on to happily ever after. And that’s another good thing about each story. You get a glimpse of what their lives are like after they have been married for a while. I definitely recommend this trio of stories.
The following is a review on the "Forever Yours Series "by Stacy Reid. I'm becoming an ardent fan of her writting. 1-The Marquees & I. The story of Willow & Alasdair is complicated with a huge misunderstanding. They will both discover truths that will change their lives and encourage them to fight for one, another. 2-The Duke & I. Emma & Elliot's story almost did not become a reality. Insecure, afraid & resolve to her fate, Emma believe she would never be good enough. Elliot never stop fighting for her & decided to put it all on the line to prove it. 3-The Discount & I. Discouraged & resigned to a loveless existence, Danny never saw Sebastian coming. He was determined to show her that she had a great deal to live for. I enjoyed these three stories immensely. Highly Recommend. Happy Reading.
4 (enjoy Maureen Driscoll, Elisa Braden, Sophie Jordon, Samantha Holt)
The development and interest in main characters and secondary characters was enjoyable. I really did like the H/H for this book; very well paired as a couple.
I loved the writing around the women empowerment (it wasn’t over the top for me).
writing style is easy to follow, humorous moments, the give and take dialogue enjoyable.
the writing style has some modern wording/phrases use however that didn’t stop me from enjoying the book.
Romantic/sexual content (kissing, oral, love making scenes) was throughout the book. Nothing over the top; again nicely intertwined in the story. There are a few detailed written scenes and several just mentioning the act. 3/5 hotness and steam.
The Marquess and I... A heart felt second chance at love for Willow and Alasdair. A first love that never died, a short romance that takes you on a journey of rediscovering desire and passion that's all about love lost and found again.
The Duke and I... A short romance with a devilish Duke and his wallflower and brother's best friend trope. Tick! I loved the undeniable desire between Elliot and Emma. A scandalous ruse that changes everything and leads them to a wonderful happily ever after.
The Viscount and I... I enjoy a different class romance, a wellborn lady and her unconventional lord. A marriage of convenience and a whole lot of passion unleashed. Fanny soon realises Sebastian is so much more and all she's ever wanted, while Sebastian finally has his dreams of loving her fulfilled.
Three Couples; Three Challenges; Three Happy Endings
Forever Yours; Series Bundle by Stacy Reid is a set of three steamy hot and somewhat erotic love stories. The titles within this set are: The Marquess and I;The Duke and I; and The Viscount and I. Each second-chance love story stands alone, and each story has a happy ending with a satisfying epilogue. All three stories are deeply character driven. All of the heroes and heroines were multi-faceted, and even the supporting characters were well defined. I also enjoyed Ms. Reid's writing style, which pulled me into each story and kept me reading until the sigh-worthy endings.
Content alert: Due to vulgarities and explicit sexual content, I can only recommend this bundle to readers who are mature and not easily offended.
Ms Reid writes sweet love stories with characters that you can't help but fall in love with. The stories in this bundle are no exception. I have read two of the three stories individually and can't wait to read the third one. The Duke and I is the story of a woman who is strong and determined to overcome a crippling accident and a man who is persistent in his pursuit of the woman he loves. The Viscount and I is the sweet and heartwarming love story of two people who come from different backgrounds but learn to embrace their life together. If you like your stories sweet, you've got to get these books. You won't regret it.
I've been binge reading Stacy Reid books for a couple of weeks now. I can't seem to stop. Her characters are so real, so relatable, and so down to earth. She doesn't waste time on extraordinary circumstances that tend to take away from the love story and create obstacles that make no sense. Instead, she focuses on feelings that anybody can have, normal everyday obstacles like stubborn family members or physical and/or emotional disabilities. And the result is a story that is easy to get absorbed in and a reading experience that leaves me wanting more. I'm truly starting to worry about what will happen when I run out of her books to read.
Honestly it would be 5* if the first two were longer
Stacy Reid is a new to me author and after reading the first book in this bundle I was upset there wasn't more story. Carnal scenes are very hot and I loved the chemistry between the couples. I did fear that "imperfect beauties" would be a theme with this bundle and the rest of her writing. I'm not a fan of "sick lit" and too many ladies having to find worth in themselves would get old fast. Here's to more Reid and longer stories cuz I like what I've read so far.
I really enjoy reading and listening To Stacy's books I feel that the Sex scenes She has written are romantic And yet are still erotic I have started too many books That focus almost exclusively on sex and for me that's a big turn off and I will usually discard those books and not Read any thing else by those authors. I also enjoy the plot lines And of course the romance. Thank you Stacy for enjoyable reading And I will continue Continue to read Other books that you have written
As I say in every review nowadays, a good edit is always needed. A few misused words in each of novellas. Not as bad as some but still. I liked the first two second chance stories but read back to back wasn’t a good idea. Too similar. I would have read the third and then gone back. Third one found hard to like the h. I know historical romances oftentimes have the h ignorant of certain things but I don’t need to be beat upside the head with that fact repeatedly.
Reid writes such rich and unique characters that you cant help but fall in love with them yourself. Each couple has such poignant trials they must face to reach their HEA and you rejoice with them when they finally do. Well built worlds and plotlines enrich these novellas making them fully fleshed out and fulfilling. The only tiny flaws were some editing/typo errors, but I'm looking forward to the rest of the series.
This book is so good, I am almost speechless. The first story very good, the second story excellent, the third story awesome. Loved stories and the heroes and heroines. The third story was priceless, the beloved hero and heroine were about my all time favorites. Just enough spice to take you to a whole other level. I recommend this box set, and anxious to start the next box set.
I loved the general overall story lines because the heroines weren’t “ perfect” and had challenges. I don’t want to give too much away, however, one heroine was blinded in an accident. In another story an accident caused the heroine to have very bad physical scars on her limbs. In the end, they found true love. The stories show how resilient the human spirit is, and have steamy sex scenes, with no cliff hangers and happy endings.
This is the first three books in the forever yours series and I thoroughly enjoyed reading then. There was a bit of steam needed to convince the ladies in the series that their man truly loved them. Though not always the men society agreed with but certainly men that will win your heart. The ladies are strong willed and strong minded. The story lines are of love and TBE battle to get to a happily ever after. Enjoy!
I enjoyed that two of the heroines in this collection had disabilities. Something Ive not encountered in other romance fare. Stacy Reid writes her characters with a lot of heart and interest. The romance is top notch blush worthy steamy. I would recommend if your a fan of Regency Romance.
Three stories, three lovely and interesting ladies and three wonderful men make for an enjoyable read. Each story enticed me to read on to see what would develop, the conversations flowed and the love triumphed. I look forward to reading more from Stacy Reid.
Wonderful reading of three women who had some handicapping condition that made them not acceptable to society, but Stacy shows that they too can find their happier ever after. They were intriguing and thoroughly enjoyable. I recommend this box set and this author. I plan to read the other sets as well.
The three stories show how love and romance can overcome society's obstacles. It is intriguing how the sensual aspect of each story impacts how we look at our own lives.
This is my first time reading anything from this author and I don't regret starting with this very series cause it was amazing from beginning to end! I look forward to reading more from Stacy and getting to know her work more.
How nice to know that when you see the author is Stacy Reid, you won't be disappointed. And since I've read the best 4 books in the series, go for them, too. They are all a delight!
I’m always captivated by Stacy Reid’s writing. She does a great job of giving her characters’ a depth of personality, even when the story is shorter. This bundle provided an entire day of reading pleasure!
