This author has such a great way of weaving a tale of suspense, mingled with some very swoony romance, and this one is no exception!

Maddy is a beautiful girl with a father that she doesn't really know. When he invites her sail around the Caribbean to celebrate receiving her master's degree, she takes him up on it but finds out that he's not who she thought he was and now her life is in danger.

This book immediately starts out with a gripping scene and the danger and suspense persists throughout the story. I love a book that makes me feel a little on edge, while still delivering some toe-tingling romantic scenes. The characters are fantastic! Maddy is so sweet and brave, while Zack steps up out of seclusion to protect this stranger at all costs. As much as I love these characters, Zack's best friend, Brooks, almost steals the show with his boisterous, over-the-top personality and wit. I would love to see him get his own story.

I love the setting and feel as if I was the one racing through the Caribbean for my life. I would enjoy exploring these places in a little closer detail someday, as the details were so vivid in my mind.

I recommend this to readers who enjoy a fast-paced, exciting, clean romance with some suspense woven in.

Content: mild innuendo, mild romance (kissing--swoony, but clean); mild violence (death, moments of peril); mild religious elements (a few brief mentions of a character praying). Clean!

Ummmm, I love me some billionaire romances. This one was really yummy. (I'm hungry right now and I'm sensing some food related words overpowering my brain. . .) What a combination- the Caribbean, a hot reclusive Olympian (with his own private island!!) and dangerous pirates. It was the perfect set up for a fantastic romantic suspense.

I love Cami and her books. She knows how to bring in the best balance of suspense and romance. I loved these characters. I felt like I knew them and I could easily picture them in each new place. This book is fast paced- just like I like it. Of course, it was over way too soon, but I sure did enjoy the time I had in this story.

This is a fun series as each book is written by a different author but share the one common theme of the billionaire. They are independent books- not one depends on another so you can jump in and read them in any order. Not all have the suspense element, but if you enjoy a bit of danger in your books, you should really pick this one up. It's one of my favorites!

Maddie has an absentee father who really hasn't had much to do with her her entire life. But when she graduates with her Master's degree, he decides it's time to wisk her off for a 2 week cruise in the Caribbean. It doesn't take long for her to realize that this trip isn't all that it's cracked up to be. She soon discovers that her father is a real life pirate and that her life is in serious danger. Her father's men have turned on him and want everything that he has, including Maddie. She is able to escape with evidence of who and what the men on the boat are but doesn't know who to trust or where to go. When her little boat crashes on a private island, she has to have faith that she will be safe and will be able to get all the information to the authorities before it's too late.

Zack has spent the last two years alone on his private island. He's tired of his father controlling him and women throwing themselves at him because his fame and fortune. Life is so much easier alone. If only he could gain custody of his niece, then life would be perfect. Or so he thought. He never dreamed that he could want anything more until fate intervines and a beautiful woman comes crashing into his life... literally. But how can his life be complete with his stubborn father and pirates standing in the way of him gaining the happiness he deserves? His protective instincts kick in and he will have to fight for what he deserves.

I thoroughly enjoyed Caribbean Rescue! I should not have been surprised that Cami sucked me in from the very beginning. I really need to learn NOT to start her books during the week. It is a guarantee that I will lose sleep and real life will get in the way making me a very cranky KJ! Haha. I am loving all these Billionaire books and look weekly to see if a new one has been released! I can't wait to read Cami's next book. I know without a doubt that it will be AMAZING! She has definitely been added to my favortie authors list! ;)

And my casting... *dreamy sigh* I LOVE these two! ;)

Great Billionaire romance

I love sweet romances and this one was great! She was scared as she ran from pirates and he is a fantastic runner! Together they are amazing! Brooks sounds like he needs his own story... They each have to work to get ready and it leads to a fantastic ending!

High 3 rating. Maddie’s college graduation trip with her father turns into a nightmare when she discovers he’s a pirate as the men on his yacht mutinee and try to kill him to hurt her. She escapes on a small boat and races for her life into the night, hoping to reach safety and find a way to the U.S to hand over the sensitive information her father gave her on a chip to the authorities. She crash lands on the reef outside Zach Tyndale’s private island and he rescues her, changing the course of his life when he tries to keep her safe. This story was fast-paced and has an awesome setting in the Caribbean. The characters fell for each other pretty quick and the romance was a little too mushy for my taste (I would have liked more dialogue instead of the narration telling me how the characters felt). That was the only negative for me. The danger the characters faced kept me reading to the end, which turned out to be very satisfying. This is a quick read with unique characters—a washed-out Olympic hopeful and a girl with a pirate father. ***I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for my fair and honest review.

Oh. My. Goodness! I’d just finished a book & saw that the advanced reader copy of Caribbean Rescue was on my kindle. Talk about a bookaholic in a quandary! Sure it was time to get ready for bed-early morning, long day...but...just a chapter, or two...or 16! Like I could actually put the book down when it starts off with an innocent young woman on a modern day pirate ship. Just a few pages later, amid gunfire, she is being shoved off the yacht with ‘important documents’ by her father, with instructions to get the information to homeland security! Then the chase is on. And with the pirates after her, you get to meet other wonderful & interesting characters. Of course, you KNOW she will get her man-it is a romance, after all-but oh, what a lovely romance it is! I really enjoyed Brooks, Zacks’ best friend. He deserves a book of his own (Hint, hint!). Needless to say, the last words of the chapter that I was FINALLY able to stop reading - THE END! LOL I truly enjoyed the Caribbean Rescue!!!

This was my first time reading Cami Checketts. I saw this book in a Facebook group and because of the African-American hero, I picked it up. I was please to find out that the heroine was of Spanish and Italian descent. It was like a double dose of diversity. 😉

Also, because I saw this book in a clean reads group, I expected it to be that. But the heroine prayed throughout and mentioned her faith. However, some of the excessive kissing and fast attraction made me think of the book more as a clean read then one with a Christian message (just fyi).

Overall, this short read provided a nice escape, suspense in a gorgeous location, and diversity (especially on the cover) that made me smile.

I was swept away into Maddie's adventure on her dad's yacht in the middle of the
Caribbean! I was surprised at how quickly the action began and it kept me on my
toes with my heart pounding! I felt like I was right there with Maddie trying to figure
out what to do and who to trust! Crash landing on to Zach's island was the stuff movies
and dreams are made of! Maddie and Zach's chemistry was immediate and kept
growing throughout the book! I loved Brooks, his character was larger than life and
made the book so much more engaging! Overall this high seas adventure was one I
highly recommend and it kept me interested until the last page! I received a copy of
this book for free, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

This book starts out with a bang! Maddie is on her father's yacht sailing in the Caribbean. But her father...he's a pirate! A real one. And his ship is full of them as well, with him as the big boss. Those men are about to overcome him and he knows that Maddie is in danger. He sends her into the sea in a boat with a bunch of information about the crimes his men have committed, knowing that he is about to be killed by his men.

Maddie has no idea how she's going to survive in the boat and what if her father's men find her? She ends up crash landing on an amazing island in the middle of the Caribbean. It happens to belong to Zack Tyndale, a true gentleman. He agrees to care for her and help her get back to America, but they don't count on the pirates being able to follow them.

I really liked the characters in this book. I liked Maddie, she turned out amazingly well, even though her father was a pirate and absent from a good chunk of her life. I liked Zack too, I loved the way he took care of anything Maddie needed and "seeing" him with his niece was so cute!

Zack's friend Brooks was pretty interesting. I liked the way he was so full of himself that he couldn't imagine anyone liking Zack more than him. He really made the parts of the story he was in fun!

This is a cute, clean, quick read that you won't want to put down until you've read every suspenseful word!

I was sent an e-copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

***3.5 stars***

Danger on the high seas, romance, suspense, pirates, adorable children, handsome men.... those are the things that you will find in this book.

I am a fan of Cami Checketts. I have enjoyed every book of hers that I have read. This book was no exception. The characters are good people who find love and romance in the middle of danger. The book begins as Maddie's father sends her off in a small boat from his yacht. He is protecting her from the evil men who are his crew. Mutiny has Maddie praying that she will find help and take the documents her father entrusted to her to Homeland Security.

This book moves at a very fast pace. The majority of the book takes place in a few days. The attraction between Maddie and Zach in instant. I guess that would be my only complaint in the book, it seemed to happen too fast. To be fair, there are time skips at the end that indicates that the characters really didn't rush their relationship... I just would have liked to see a little more of the development of the couple.

This is a clean romance with lots of kissing and some violence.

This was such a fun, adventurous, heartwarming story which included pirates, drama and danger!

When Zack comes across Madeline shipwrecked, he doesn't know what to think but hes not going to let another woman use him for his money and fame. Madeline has plenty of money given to her by her dad and she won't make the mistake of trusting a man and letting him use her.

Zack along with his friend Brooks, decide to help Madeline escape as they travel to exotic places together with the pirates at their heels, they finally start to heal and learn to trust the people around them.

Lots of laughs, adventure and clean romance. I loved reading about the exotic locations they visited! Very well written-can't wait to read more of the series!

I received a copy of this book complimentary for blog and social media review. All opinions are my own.

I think this is my first book to read by Cami Checketts. I really enjoyed it!!!! It was fast moving with fun characters that kept me laughing and enjoying the suspense and intrigue. I really enjoyed that we had an Olympian in this story. His character is about as perfect as they come too. I also liked the conclusion. There are some far from perfect characters in this story too. At the end I felt that some of them may grow to overcome their weaknesses. Brooks definitely needs his own story. This would most likely take us back to the Caribbean which is probably my all time favorite setting for a story. Looking forward to more!

Caribbean Rescue: Billionaire Beach Romance Book 2 is by Cami Checketts. This is a very short book that makes for fantastic summer reading. You get to ride on expensive yachts in the beautiful Caribbean. It is easy to read and has adventure, fun, and romance all mixed up. It is predictable; but the predictability makes it easy to read and not worry about anything. Maddie has gone on a vacation with her Dad. She hasn’t seen him regularly in her life. He would take her Mother on expensive vacations but not her. Now that she had her master’s degree, he took her on a vacation on his yacht. However, it doesn’t turn out to be the vacation she was looking for.

Caribbean WHAT?

When her father asked her to spend a week or two on his yacht to celebrate her graduation, she didn't expect to learn that he was a modern pirate, a vicious killer, bailing out because of failing health and a last minute change of heart.
He has been hiding out on his island ever since his debacle in the Olympics.
When her father's crew take over the yacht, she escapes with the papers that will take the pirates down. But the pirate boss wants her. And after Homeland Security catches the rest of the gang . . .
He has to protect her.
Checketts limns a tale worthy of the Caribbean.
Recommended for readers of clean billionaire romance.

Fun, crazy, adventurous story

Maddie is out with her dad on his his yacht when things go crazy. He sends her overboard in a boat to get away from it. She ends up meeting Jake on an island. The adventures begin with trying to get away from bad people. Brooks is one of his friends who help them. He is crazy. The ups and downs throughout this book are fun and keep you wanting more. Romantic, comical, and thrilling

Maddie and Zack are adorable from the get-go. The protector, especially, in Zack endeared him to me, yet his gentleman heart was truly precious as well. The hilarity with Brooks was fun. And Chalise... oh how she captured my heart. What a sweet and thrilling read. It moves along quickly. I look forward to reading Brooks' story.

As her story story unfolds, he finds out she is the daughter of a pirate and is escaping his crew. As they fight for survival in paradise, romance abounds. Lighthearted read to escape to paradise.

I struggled through the first half of this book then enjoyed the second half. The first half was filled with insta-love and way too much going on for this to be believable. Still a good book which I don't regret reading.

My Take:
It's no secret that Checketts is one of my favorite clean romantic suspense writers. She has a easy to read (and get lost in) writing style. Her characters are well rounded with hidden depths that are slowly revealed as the story progresses. I also love that Checketts lets the attraction and trust develop naturally even if it must be fast for the story.

Maddie is a good girl, caught up in a big mess because of her father. Zack steps up to help even though he'd rather stay hidden away on his private island. He turns out to be a soft hearted, kind man, willing to risk himself to try and help this strange and clumsy woman.

There was a great balance of suspense with the romance. I even liked how at the end Maddie has to face Bello without Zack. Most romantic suspense has the guy running in to save the day, but life isn't always like that. This was a nice change for me!

I give Caribbean Rescue a 4.5!

1-5 scale and what it means:
1: I couldn’t even finish it / just plain bad
2: I hope I didn’t pay for this / disappointing
3: I didn’t hate it, but it was still missing something / forgettable but inoffensive
3.5: On the line between good and ok / like, not love
4: Solid mind candy / worth reading
4.5: So very close to perfection! / must read
5: I could not put it down and I’m still thinking about it! / a true treasure
