Give Me Love

Gratitude Montgomery, Attorney, and Cherish Williams, Gift basket boutique owner, meet for the first time by crashing into each other – literally. Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and Gratitude hates the holiday and all it stands for. The last thing he wants to deal with is a positive, cheery woman whose disposition only irritates him more. During the course of their time together, Cherish sets out to make Gratitude the meaning of his name. Will she succeed and change his perception of Thanksgiving, love, and life itself, or will he taint her heart and spirit and drain her of the good within her until they both have nothing left?

See now, here's the thing: I love reading novellas. You know when you pick one up, you're in it for a short ride.

But every time I come across one that I fall in love with, I'm pissed that it's not longer. How did I fall in love with these characters and their story within 60 pages?

This was so lovely and heart-warming. I wish we had more of them.

Hands down one of my favorites from B. Love. This one hurt my feelings but also brought me joy. It was so interesting finding myself so attached to Cherish and Gratitude especially since the story is short. However, B. Love has a way with that pen ya’ll. There is something to be said about the comparison and contrasting of attachment and dependency that is described in this book. I felt like that was something that I needed see. It made me think about my personal life in unexpected ways. This was so well written and brought all the feels. If you’ve never read B. Love, I definitely recommend picking this one up!

Some call it fate, some call it coincidence, well after reading about Gratitude and Cherish’ connection, I call it meant to be! I absolutely LOVED this story and it’s clear that B. Love SHINES with short novellas!

Cherish and Gratitude met in the most unexpected way when he rear ends her after she abruptly cuts him off then stops at a yellow light. That one single event catapulted these two into a world wind of a sh*t storm day. If “when it rains it pours” was a day, it would have been the day Cherish and Gratitude met. Every time they turned around something chaotic happened and they always found themselves in each others presence.

All they wanted to do was make it home in one piece to celebrate Thanksgiving with their loved ones but the universe was not making it easy. During the time spent together up until the very last day, Cherish and Gratitude realized that they were connected in a way that neither of them could’ve ever imagined!

This was just what the Dr. ordered this holiday season and showed just how far faith and the love of a new friend can carry you! This story tugged at my heartstrings but also filled my heart at the same time! This is one y’all don’t want to pass up.

Home and Love for Thanksgiving

Well this was a cute read.

Gratitude and Cherish (I loved their names) did not meet on the best terms, in fact Gratitude aka Grady was down right pissed that Cherish aka Cherry managed to turn his Thanksgiving plans upside down. However, their meeting each other seemed to be fated. With both of them unable to travel home to Memphis, the original way they intended they find themselves continuously crossing paths on their journey home. They end up on a delayed flight next to each other and find themselves stuck in a town for a night, not quite at their destination. Fate again has them at an impasse and they end up spending that night together and the anger and tension Grady initially felt come tumbling down along with the walls he built around his heart. Between both of them they had unimaginable loss, Grady was bitter and hardened while Cherry was grateful and soft. In the short time they spent together, her kindness opened him up to a different way of handling his grief. The plot twist I didn't call, and I wish they would have dove into that a little more together.

Overall it was a sweet read and I would add a little more depth on a few things. It was centered around Thanksgiving, but there was no mention of the food. I always want to picture the feast and that was missed. Also, I would have appreciated more of a description of Cherry. We could clearly picture Grady's tall, dark, handsome brooding self but Cherry's character wasn't fully described.

Sometimes you just need to read a short book with great people that have been through it but they find each other, and they realize that there is good things in life as well.

Cherish x Gratitude

This story was surprisingly cute. In spite of the little meet-cute and lovey stuff, it was mildly heavy. But it worked out great cause it played in well for the Thanksgiving feel I wanted.

Loved this short Christmas love story. They way that Gratitude and Cherish got together was unorthodox but it worked out for them in the end and I love that for them 🤎

Give Me Love gave me all the Hallmark Movie feels. A series of unfortunate events bring Cherish and Gratitude together. First, there was the car accident that was Cherish's fault. Then, she inadvertently steals his cab to get to the airport so, she doesn't miss her flight. Once she makes it to the airport not only does she realize Grady was the guy whose care she rear ended but, they're also on the same flight headed to the same destination. What are the odds?!!! Needless to say, Grady was not happy with Cherish when he figured out who she was. Grady and Cherish are both dealing with some heavyweight grief. Unbeknownst to one another, they both lost their family in a plane crash the previous year. Once Grady makes the connection, he's willing to work on himself and help he and Cherish get past their grief so they can work towards having a healthy relationship. The author did an amazing job with the six-degrees of separation component in the storyline. Give Me Love was an emotional read but, it was also cute. Cherish and Grady were so perfect for each other. I loved that the story ended with such promise of a great future for these two. Great job B. Love!

This book was so cute!

It’s about a woman named Cherish and a man named Gratitude, they both have plans to travel to their hometown for Thanksgiving.

Both Cherish and Gratitude experience such tragic loss. The only difference between the two is the way they deal with their loss and their outlook on life.

This book focuses on healing, connection, grief, and love.

This was such a good little novella! It doesn’t feel like one, even if you wouldn’t mind spending more time with Cherish and Gratitude (Grady). I laughed. I cried. I had a great time in their world. Cherish was so refreshing, with her positivity. Grady was very fortunate to meet her, even if she was the bane of his existence for a minute lol. I’m a little mad that this is $15.00 on Amazon (for 72 pages!!!) but I guess ya can’t put a price on your feelings, and this gave me such good feelers. Perfect for this time of year!!

Love Received

Gratitude and Cherish. I was grateful to get the chance to experience and cherish this couple. As the story opened, the main characters were involved in a fender bender which resulted in both needing medical care. I instinctively knew this was part of a bigger plot. Gratitude was upset over the accident, but he didn't miss Cherish's subtle beauty. His gruff exterior didn't fool me. I knew there was more to his story. Their next encounter had them headed in the same direction. Their collision course also included a deeper connection than I realized. The author told us this amazing story with a Six-Degrees of Separation component. You will be wowed. The story was short, yet it packed a significant punch. And this Thanksgiving novella filled my pallet with joy! Ms. Jackson approved reading!

"Give Me Love" by B. Love

My Rationalization:

I really enjoyed this short story 'Give Me Love' that featured Cherish [Cherry] and Gratitude [Grady]. What was really amusing about these two is that until the accident [fender bender] that they were involved in they both lived in the same area and were from Memphis, TN who had plans of going back home for the holidays and had never met one another. Well, even though he may not have been a fan of Cherish, in the beginning, bad weather will force them in each other's life once again and once they get to know and share information about each other life, will something come of this? What will be the big secret the Cherish held from Grady? However, what will happen as he begins to put it all together from there visit home for the holiday as they were both battling from the same thing [loss]? Will some feelings will begin for these two as it seems as they both have dreams of returning to there hometown of Memphis? One thing that was for sure these two definitely clicked together in more ways than one. Now, to get the answers to all of the questions above you will just have to pick up 'Give Me Love' and see how well this author brings it out so well to the reader.

I found this story quite a heartwarming holiday novella read with these two finding a wonderful love after a horrible loss and starting to learn how to push on and live the life that was true for them. This shows that everything happens for a reason whether its new beginnings or directions it will all come together in the end as it did for Cherish and Gratitude because love never disappoints.

This was the story of Cherish and Grady, they lived in the same area but also both came from Memphis and was going home for the holidays. Cherish and Grady have ran into each other twice, without actually meeting, so when they finally met, Grady wasnt a fan of hers. On the way out of town, they had to check into a hotel due to the weather and things took off from there between them. They shared information about their lives and what they wanted to do in the future, but Cherish still held a secret. Once they made it home to Memphis, they still hung out with each other and started having feelings. Cherish and Grady has dreams of returning to Memphis and start businesses. This story was about meeting someone and getting to know them in a way you didnt expect and then truly fall in love with them and want to start a new chapter of life with them. This was a great read!!!!

To experience love while grieving

This book captures the essence of how one can still experience love despite the overwhelming emotions of mourning. The writer has skillfully highlighted the significance of having a person from outside your usual circle of life who can offer a fresh perspective and support during the toughest moments. The text has a powerful message that resonates deeply with the readers, emphasizing the importance of cherishing the love and support of those around us, even during the most challenging times.

A Thanksgiving Treat

OMG -- Grady and Cherry had me feeling all the emotions in this short but beautiful read. Sometimes heartache leads you to unexplainable love. I love how their stories brought them together. In the beginning I thought Grady was a douche but after learning him, I can truly say he softened my heart tremendously. Cherry is so resilient and just a beautiful soul. Definitely take the time and read this Thanksgiving read. :)

This short read was sweet, light and fluffy. It almost felt like I was reading an African American inspired Hallmark movie. I connected with Gratitude and Cherish on so many levels, and their chemistry was undeniable. It was a treat to watch them come together so unexpectedly, especially, since they were connected by such an unfortunate situation.. The plot was clear, and I was in the right mood for this type of book. B. Love never disappoints, and this novella gave me all types of feels, which made it worth the time I spent reading it over the weekend.

“Give Me Love” is a heartwarming holiday story about finding love after loss, moving past tragedy and allowing yourself to live fully.

A HAPPY THANKSGIVING IT WAS!

This was a great read. First of all, I love the main characters names. Who would think to name their children Cherish or Gratitude? That was different. Secondly, I got pregnant somewhere after he parted her lips. I did. I was gone with the first stroke. And unfortunate situation brought them together had it developed into so much more. Both had lost so much, but ended up gaining each other. This novella was too cute! I would actually like to know where they went from here in the future. In the words of Willie Hutch, "I can sho' give you love" and that's exactly what they did for one another.

Great Short Story!

Poor Gratitude, he was having the worst day ever, I felt so bad for him. And Cherish was the start of why it was so bad, so their initial conversation was hilariously bad. But talk about the stars aligning for two people! Clearly Gratitude and Cherish were meant to meet and right when each was on the verge on making major changes. They just clicked and I really liked them together. I loved that the story ended with such promise of a great future for these two. Another great story, Ms. Love!

I cried..

I don't know what to say but, I do know that this book made me cry. Two people who were involved in an accident together, she steals his cab, and they end up sitting on a plane side by side of each other. What's really scary they loose their parents on the same day on the same plane. I had to re-read that part about four times because it really had me in my feelings once he looked her information up and realized she was dealing with the same emotions as him. He went back and got her so she wouldn't be alone for the holidays.

❤️

B never disappoints, like never. The lesson on love and attachment, whew! I needed to read that. This was a beautiful novella, I kinda want a Christmas novella for Gratitude and Cherish lol. But everything happens for a reason, what seems unfortunate can lead to a new direction, beginnings, or blessings, etc. B always dropping gems in her books. I don’t wanna keep going and spoil things, I’ll leave stating you won’t be disappointed.
