Friends prove difficult as Hermione and Blaise start dating, especially his friends. Malfoy is particularly offended by Hermione's presence on the scene.
When Hermione starts dating Blaise Zabini, she is thrust into a world in wich she never would've even imagine to find herself. Being with Blaise means spending alot of time with his friends. From the get go she understands that Slytherins are a conniving bunch and her being the odd one out, makes her the target for most of them. After Marcus Flint kisses her with no warning, Blaise ends things with her without giving her time to explain. In an effort to escape her problems caused by Slytherins, she finds herself in the arms of yet another Slytherin. So when she get's back from her trip to Paris, the whole Wizarding Community is talking about her and to make the whispers stop, she makes a deal with the devil. Pretend to be in love with Draco Malfoy as an excuse for her wanton ways.
This is one of the lighter works of camnz. I actually avoided this story for a long time because I thought it would end up being a triad fic but I was sorely mistaken. Even though the story starts with Hermione dating Blaise, it's a Dramione story through and through.
I didn't really liked Hermione's character. She was annoying, self righteous and one dimensional. She only cared about herself and thought that she deserved the world.
As much as I loved Draco in this story, I can't really agree with Hermione's choice to marry him. She had to give up all her rights as a human being and surrender her life at Draco's mercy and he only had to give up drinking and living with his parents. I don't know how he couldn't see that he was asking to much out of her. He was to blindly following old Pureblood traditions and expected Hermione to follow the blindly too, because she loved him and everytime she questioned them, he got mad and defensive towards her, accusing her of not loving him enough.
He gave out way too many red flags throughout the entire story to make me feel good about Hermione's decision and even though I hated her alot more than anyone else in this fic, I can't help but feel the need to save her from herself.
If dramione really could happen, I imagine this to be the only realistic possibility. I loved the characterizations, the storyline, and it all felt very believable.
