My God!!!

The zombie Apocalypse continues in Episode 3 with them all trying to stay alive, together.

The suspense, the gut wrenching, heart breaking suspense as they fight to stay alive and keep the zombies at bay had me on the edge of my seat.

Things never rearly go to plan. Can they make it without being eaten alive.

GAHHHH this episode had me on pins, the whole series has had my heart in my mouth but this one was intense, I'm still loving Nolan, I can see hes going to have a softer side, it's just waiting until we see it.

Theres a new addition to the team and hes rough and HAWT , cant wait to see what he brings to the table.

*Ain't no day like today for fading away *

My heart broke for Alexa but was filled with rage for the a**hat!!

Now all they have to do is survive!!

Cant wait for episode 4, I still say this needs to be a tv series, it's amazing!!!

Poor kiddo, Alexa. I'd have done exactly what Jaimie, Nolan and the others did too. Man... it's one thing after the other with this crew. I wonder what happens next!

A good "short". Please be aware that this is an "episodic", frankly those irritate me because I prefer a full story, or at least a series of fleshed out work. More and more new authors are putting "episodics" out and calling them series. I'm not sure if it's because the younger generations have short attention spans or what the reasoning is.

This "series" has 4 "books" in season 1, and 3 in the 2nd season, to date (Feb 19, 2020), so 7 episodes in total. Each is advertised as approximately 90 pages, but each book ends at around 75%, the rest being filler and advertising of other books. If the author were to combine each season into a single book it might run to 150-200 pages, tops.

Okay, now that I've lodged my main complaint... This series, so far, isn't bad. I like the main female characters around which the story revolves. Rose is on an American "walkabout" from the UK and is taking a "gap year" between college and work, and Sam (Samantha) is a ballerina who is returning from a vacation, that should have been her honeymoon. Both are on the same Red-eye flight from London to Las Angeles when a virus erupts on their flight, turning the other passengers into zombies. They, and one pilot, are the only ones who survive the flight.

I really enjoyed the by-play between Rose and Sam. They quickly became fast friends and learned to work together to survive. As they reach the supposed safety of the airport they encounter more raging creatures, but also meet up with assorted survivors. Some are just everyday people, some are deviants, and some are criminals. But, you can't be too picky in who your cohorts are, not if you want to survive.

Character personalities are beginning to play out and we're seeing who's made of sterner stuff. We're also beginning to realize that the humanity that has survived, thus far, may not be as "human" as we hoped. Beware, keep an eye on everyone around you, and go with your gut instinct.

I devoured this! A fantastic episode of this truly amazing series.

I can't get enough of these character's and their situation. A turn off events has the group fighting one of their own and its very much deserved. Loving the new character Barrett, he made me giggle with the policewoman.

I am completely hooked on this series, devouring each episode. Im on the edge of my seat, captivated throughout, entertained and also scared for what could come next.

I am in awe of Claire and Eli's writing, the detailed zombie attacks and well thought out character's. Phenomenal ladies, can't wait for more.

Oh boy,

This series is getting better and better with each book. This one is fast paced, they are still fighting to survive but also we find out one person isn't what he seems and the truth is revealed. This book will have you on the edge of your seat. I can't wait for the next episode as each book just gets better and better. This would make an amazing TV show it sure plays out well in my head while reading.

These reviews are getting harder and harder to write without saying the same things over and over. Episode three has been consistent with the other episodes in providing action and unique scenarios that I just can't put down. Each episode really does get better and better.

The action in this episode was fantastic. Just enough to keep me hooked, but not too much to swallow up the heart of the story.
I seriously need to know what’s going on with Sam.
As for Trent... hope he got his!!

Could you survive if the zombie virus if it came quickly??

As well dive deeper into the post apocalyptic world, this rag tag group is willing to do what is best to survive, all the while trying to learn more about one another, but trust is hard when you know the world is full of crazy.

Sara, rose, Nolan and the rest try their best to stay safe. But what happens when your safe space is soon overrun the walking dead who only wanna have you for breakfast.

I love how Claire C Riley and Eli Constant have continued this apocalyptic world that has you running thru the pages and rooting for these people.

Can they get to Jamie and Alexa's or will they perish?? Can this small group continue to survive the hoards or will they succumb to the virus that's quickly spreading like a wildfire

Tense and suspenseful. Part three has the survivors relatively safe in the security room, but they know at least one other person is alive but locked up without escape. Betrayal is also near. These parts may be short but the whole of season one is available, if you love a bit of terror and gore then this is a good series for you. It grips while holding you captive to the fear, compulsive reading because you invest in the characters and want them safe, while knowing that there are still thousands of risks if they leave that one room. I have a love hate thing with these zombie books, a fascination that scares the crap out of me while at the same time I just have to know the characters get to safety even if that means I need to read more books.

This was another action-packed, short read in this series. Rose and Sam continue to try and survive in the LA airport. Their small group shows signs of strain as the latest addition causes some friction amongst the members and evil lurks in a familiar face. The scratches Sam attained may be causing problems and both of the girls find allies and a shoulder to lean on in the men that have been thrown into their lives. When their sanctuary is threatened, the group might need to weight up their options and make a dash out into the wild, but will they make it?

This was quick and easy to read and had some great tension and build-up. The book continues to be told from Sam and Rose's point of view in alternate chapters. I'll be continuing with the series.

YES! I'm glad for this new addition of tall, dark, and handsome! Sam can have him, I'm so team Nolan & Rose right now! I know....its not a romance but still. They can find love in a zombie apocalypse hahahha.
Trent....let me just say we ALL knew that was coming. I would have preferred more details on the drama and after math on that end. But it was over before it even started.
On to the next episode!

Haven't been able to put these down.
Each episode is relatively short, and on a free day I can get through one episode in one go, and that is pretty satisfying. I like the amount of action and the doubt that is cast on each character's background. The twist in this episode was somewhat obvious but it was still nerve-wrecking. The characters are firming up and loyalties are forming, but it is still up in the air who is going to survive the day.

THIS IS THE NEXT INSTALMENT IN THIS GREAT SERIES. THE WIERD FEELINGS I GOT ABOUT A CERTAIN CHARACTER LAST BOOK TURNED OUT TO BE TRUE, WHICH IS REVEALED IN THIS BOOK. THIS BOOK SHOWS EVEN THOUGH THE APOCOLYPSE IS HAPPENING AROUND YOU, THAT YOU SHOULD STILL BE WARY OF WHO YOU HAVE AROUND YOU. LOVING THIS SERIES AND CAN'T WAIT TO SEE WHAT HAPPENS NEXT.

3.5 stars.

These are just easy, good reads. A little too much emphasis on the boy-girl stuff, prefer it when that takes a back seat to the action, and I suspect a new character will just irritate a bit, but not too much to make the overall read any less enjoyable.

I’m so happy to be finally getting on with this series. Episode three has defiantly been my favourite so far!

‘The streets were swimming in blood - a river of it running between buildings and park benches. And then there were the infected - the dead, or whatever they were - marching through the blood, leaving a trail of death and destruction in their wake’.

Episode three begins with Rose realising that there is no quick fix for what is happening around her, this outbreak or whatever it is, isn’t coming to an end. Rose also accepts the fact it looks like it could be a possibly long wait for help to arrive. When Nolan manages to get a seemingly broken TV working, the group watch a live broadcast from the rooftop of a building. The presenter Karen, is adamant they need to show, and she needs to tell people what is going on, despite the cameraman saying she doesn’t have to continue the report. The camera pans around showing zombies shuffling along attacking any live person they can get their hands on. There are also fires burning all around the area that is being filmed. It is clear to see that Karen is distressed by what is going on around and what seems to be happening to her as the broadcast goes on and then the camera is dropped and transmission ends. One female character is devastated that she didn’t share her suspicions about one of the newer male characters which leads to another character being hurt by them.

In this episode, new characters are introduced and are featured for various lengths of time. I liked the tough, determined reporter Karen who thinks it is her duty to show and tell as many people what is going on during this zombie crisis as possible before she herself collapses. I realised whilst reading this episode how little we know about Nolan, and I guess I have judged him by how he speaks to Rose and Sam and the others. Then when you think he didn’t have to stick around with the women or take on the unenviable role as unofficial leader he can’t be a bad guy can he?
We do get a bad apple in the barrel in episode three and Nolan is part of the group along with Leon, Jamie and newer character Barret that takes this untrustworthy, deviant person away from the “women folk” to deal with. It’s quite clear Nolan doesn’t relish the job he is taking on, doing this, but he knows it needs to be done. I guess what I am saying is though I don’t know Nolan’s history I know him by his actions through this and previous episodes and what I have discovered all seems to be good so far.

It may seem like I am describing lots of people and situations but honestly there is so much going on in the book that I could go on and on for days about these different episodes. So, rest assured I am by no means telling you everything that is going on. There are so many little sub plots going on at the same time as the main one. There are so much more to learn about all the different characters, both good and bad things. Also, the group come across certain dilemma’s that in normal life would never occur. Such as when someone does something really bad, heinous in fact, is it right for them to dole out their own rough justice? Throw them out of the relative safety of the group knowing it will be more difficult for that person to survive alone? There’s also the continuing dilemma that the original trio share a secret that one of them may at some point turn into the one thing they are trying to avoid. I have a few days to wait until the next episode is released. . . I honestly feel like I have a book hangover!! Good job I have a totally different genre (non-fiction) book to read.
