Sometimes doing your duty means following your heart…

Braedan Greyson, 27, stopped dreaming about having his own omega a long time ago. He’s been his siblings’ pack alpha since age sixteen, and keeping those in his charge safe and happy is all he wants from life.
When he starts out at Fennys Den College as the new healer, he’s more than a little shocked to find students consider him mating material. Then, one night, a bruised and battered young alpha is brought into the college infirmary. All Braedan can do is treat the patient’s injuries and send him on his way. The rules demand that he keep his distance.
But for the first time in his life, doing the right thing doesn’t feel right. At all.

Sindry Starling has been different for as long as he can remember, and his family makes him suffer for it. When Dr. Greyson puts his strong, gentle hands on him, Sindry’s life changes forever. And so does his body: the young assistant teacher has always known there’s a touch of omega in him, but he's never expected to go into actual heat. Let alone to end up in the college emergency department needing a mating intervention from the new doctor with the dazzling pack leader vibes.

Sindry falls for Braedan, hard. And Braedan realizes that Sindry is the perfect mate he never knew he needed.

Their connection and chemistry defy the conventions of their highly traditional world. When Sindry's pack find out about them, they become a threat to his very life. If there’s anyone who can take on the Starlings, it’s Braedan Greyson. And he’s ready to do everything in his power to keep Sindry safe.

But how can the two alphas find a way to be together?
With the rules and realities stacked against them, is there a chance for a happily ever after?

SINDRY is a non-shifter omegaverse gay romance featuring a pack leader who’s wired to protect, a troubled young alpha who’s all wrong for him, three college balls, a mate-or-die emergency, a pack-alpha fight, a coming out, and a fairy-tale happy ending.

Dr. Braedan Greyson is the new college healer, doctor at Fennys Den College, he’s the family pack leader since their parents died eleven years ago and with that he gave up finding his own omega.
At the College’s ball, Dan smells him first before he laid eyes on him, the most delicious scent. Only Sindry Starling is an alpha. It can never happen.

When Sindry brought in heavily injured Dan understands in what kind of position Sindry lives.
Sindry is a bastard son, no privileges, more a slave sleeping on the floor, and working for the family like Cinderella, and now abused by alpha Adann Starling.
Dan laps Sindry up and has to step back or he would claim him and Dan needs to stay professional.
When brought in a second time he finds the alpha in heat. The professional he is Dan takes care of Sindry again.

Dan is so in love, but above all he wants Sindry to be free, give him what he wants... freedom.

Besides some dirty bullying and abusing it’s kind of a sweet story.
Dan and Sindry are so in tune. Sindry is the sweetest for Dan and Dan is such a kind personality, maybe even a bit too sacrificing for my pleasure. But it has to be so for the whole dynamic.
I loved this story, there was place for some sexiness, a smashing fight, there are threats and there is friendship. Trade and Aryn from #1 and #1.5 had a significant place here too.
I love the Greyson family!
A captivatingly written narrative, it had a good storyline, the use of scent, power, and submission, all well put together.

So I enjoyed the first book, but it didn’t hold a candle to how much I loved this one. Braedan intrigued me in the last book because I’m a sucker for a soft alpha single dad, and I’m so very glad we got his story. And while Sindry’s story is kinda heartbreaking, he really blossoms and comes into his own in such a fantastic way. There’s some on page violence, so if that’s a trigger for you, you should definitely pass on this one; but I can’t help but think this story is deceptively sweet with how much these two just pine for each other and absolutely need each other. It’s also an interesting exploration on gender and roles, and I feel like we’ve been treated to even more world building. I’ve definitely fallen in love with the Grayson pack and can’t wait for the next story!

A solid second book for the series, and this one had a bit more background on this world of weres. Braedan was pretty wonderful in the first book, but he's fully rounded in this one, not just the perfect pack leader who picked up his siblings at age 16 when their parents were killed. He has his moments of self-doubt, but his constant support for his family and drive to do the right thing no matter what made me love him. Sindry is simply lovely all over. It was hard to watch him being so mistreated by his half-brothers, but I also loved how he ultimately stood up to Adann. And that epilogue was absolutely perfect! I'm looking forward to seeing these two in the stories of their younger brothers, just as much as I loved seeing Aryn and Trae in this one!

This author is brilliant at writing forbidden love. The way Braeden and Sindry's feelings each other were written made me swoon and wish I could remove all obstacles that blocked their reaching happily ever after.

I liked the world created for this series, the paranormal society Sindry, Braeden and their family must carve their own place to belong as individuals and together.

There was also a hint of a mystery in the plotline, and I hope it will be expanded next in the series.

The description of the book is pretty self explanatory so I will not waste time to summarise again the storyline. I want however to highlight what makes this book different from many other non-shifter mpreg books.

First none of the MC ends up pregnant; the only walking growing belly is Dan’s brother in law, MC of the previous book in the series.

When reading the description of the school balls, I pictured a drag queen ball where the omegas go overboard with their clothing, the sparkling, the hairdos and make-up, the heels and the moves, trying to catch an alpha for a night or for life.

Whoever loves the Harry Potter world will immediately associate Fennys Den College with Hogwards, the faculty, the politics, the families feud, as well as the isolated location of the school and the bullies making Sindry’s life a nightmare. Of course the romance, the heat and the connection between Dan and Sindry have no similarities with any storyline in the Potter books.

Then of course there is the fact that both Sindry and Dan are alpha weres, but even though Dan thought people would oppose their relationship, no openly express dislike or condemnation is mentioned in the book, so they might be living in an apparently conservative society, but any of the side character cheer for them and there is no explicit bigotry, aside from the Cinderella dramma between Sindry and his brothers; thankfully Dan acts as the quintessential knight in shining armour but without the Disney sweetness and secures the HEA!

The story is well written in dual POV present tense, and not many authors master this style, so I really appreciated it. You don’t need to have read the previous books, but personally I will go and read them, just to fill the time until the next book of the series.

I received a copy of this book for an honest review, and I am happy to be able to leave this well earned 4* review!

Independent reviewer for Gay Romance Reviews, I was gifted my copy of this book.

I read book one, Stray, and found it an okay, but not brilliant read. I did NOT finish book 2, which is a continuation of the main couple in Stray. This book is the third book in the series, and it is not really necessary to have read books one and two, but personally, I would recommend you read book one first. It will give you a better feel of this world.

First person, present tense, AND multi point of view. Yeah, that is mostly the reason I found these books just ok. I know I say it often enough that I don't much care for books written this way, but I am trying to give them a chance before I decide whether I like them or not. But this was one that I finished, and didn't much enjoy it. Sorry!

I felt I was missing a lot, of WHAT I don't know. I've given up trying to word the questions my brain wants to ask, because I can't word them, ever. I just know that I was missing SOMETHING. I *think* it might have been some world building, but who knows what my brain wants, cos I really don't know.

It was steamy enough, but I didn't feel much of a connection to the characters on any sort of emotional level.

It was just okay, and I'm sorry that I felt that!

Sindry and Braedan are two alphas to fall in love with in Crystel Greene’s latest entry in the Fenny’s Den College series: Sindry.

Let me warn readers that there is a bullying storyline and violence attached to this story and a main character. The pain can be difficult to read at times, but there is a resolution to this storyline. The resolution parallels the wolf heritage and therefore makes sense to the storyline.

Greene takes an interesting chance with the character of Sindry and I love it. Sindry is an alpha in a state of flux which I find a lot of us are in right now with the emergence of different label identities. The willingness to be open, self-identify, and accept one’s own self and then share it with the world is a topic that Greene explores intelligently and sensitively.

The task of balancing real-life issues with romance can be hard as we all know, but Greene makes it seem easy. The chemistry between Braedan and Sindry is off the charts.

If you have not started this series, no worries as Sindry can be read as a standalone. Jump on the Greene bandwagon and head back to college, at least with Greene you can do it safely and with some heat.

I received an ARC of this book and I am writing a review without prejudice and voluntarily.

Sindry is an alpha with an omega’s face which causes all sorts of problems. His bio dad treated him like a slave, his stepdad threw him out, the stepbrothers are nasty pieces of work and he is ordered to go to college with the new alpha-his mean stepbrother- to maintain the house. Also read as to act as the maid. We get some hurt/comfort scenes which are in keeping with “finding yourself” during the college years and some bullying. And some cuteness.

Benny and Kay are adorable. They are sweethearts who really do not understand how dangerous the world really is. They mean well and support Sindry as much as they can and they come through when it counts.

Dan is a compassionate alpha and the new doctor. He has a family to protect and support so falling for Sindry is a dangerous complication. I appreciated his internal moral struggles and his conviction to do what is right.

Honestly? I read this particular story at least five times already. I am so fascinated by the Fennys Den world. There is always that undercurrent of danger over each HEA. And this particular installment is especially juicy because one of the alphas embraces a genderqueer identity. A genderqueer shifter. So yeah. So cool.

I appreciate how within Sindry and Braedan's community it was not "normal" for two alphas to be together, yet that didn't stop them from loving each other. When it comes to love, I have always believed that we don't get a choice in who our heart and soul connects with. I'm always happy reading about people who are willing to stand up and say no to being stuffed in a neat, ultimately boring little box. A box that doesn't allow their internal beauty and goodness to show. I must admit that Dan made me want to yell at him to stop making important decisions, which should have been for Sindry to decide, on his own. Both could have really saved themselves some hurt if they only spoke truthfully to one another. They really were a great match for each other, and both were so deserving of finding love and happiness. Looking forward to seeing what you all think of the book too.

Sindry is an Alpha but with a human mother, his facial features are more like an omega. He is a half brother of the current pack Alpha Adann Starling. He is treated like the pack servant at Fennys Den.

Braedan Greyson has had to step in as pack Alpha since his parents died. He has only known responsibility for his siblings and now he is the healing doctor at Fennys Den to keep his eye on his younger omega brother, Laska.

Braeden meets Sindry and suddenly he is intrigued by the man. But they are both Alphas. It is not a widely accepted relationship .

Sindry starts having symptoms of an omega. Smells like an omega, has a heat like an omega.

In order for Braedan to have Sindry he is going to have to fight for him.

Yep. Its was really good. Action, steam, loved the characters. So good!

I loved the first two books in the series and Sindry was no different. Brendan is such a sweet alpha and I was so excited to read his love story. He’s a pack alpha taking care of his siblings as if they were his own children.

Sindry is a mistreated alpha abused by his family. Brendan keeps coming to his rescue and they build a beautiful friendship. Their journey from strangers, to friends, to more was so sweet. I really enjoyed both their perspectives as well.

I’m really intrigued with where the mystery surrounding the murders is going to go. I can’t wait for Laska’s book.

I did receive a free ARC of this book but that did not influence my review.

This is a unique M/M omegaverse story with a hot healer who is pack leader for his siblings and has all but given up on finding his own mate, and a young alpha with omega traits who is abused by his family. There is instant attraction, abuse, bullying, cruel step-brothers, school balls, a heat emergency, a good-hearted white-knight healer, age gap, alpha fighting, and forbidden romance. Can two alphas find a way to be together?

This is a touching, sweet story. It is the third book in the series but can be read as a stand-alone. There is bullying and abuse, so be aware if such things disturb you.

I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving this honest review.

Sindry is an alpha but has a kind of hybrid situation going on as Brendan mistakes him for an omega but backs off when he realises his error. He is treated abysmally by his family as he is only a half sibling, his omega brothers who are funny and sweet are the only ones who are supportive of him, a real cinderella type treatment is foisted upon him. Brendan who is not your typical alpha with all the posturing behaviour, he is gentle and caring but he struggles to do what is right and act appropriately. This is a solid unique take on the omegaverse world and deals with awful, bullying family and instant attraction.

I really loved this book. The world building was great and the two main characters have an instant connection that also happens to be forbidden in their world. This starts with a great hit on the hurt/comfort trope and builds from there. There is real danger for Sindry and Braedan is the perfect, protective alpha. There were some Cinderella vibes from the evil stepbrothers and they way Sindry is treated by his family and Braedan is a great Prince Charming. Although, I must say that Sindry is a strong character as well and grows out of the initial "damsel in distress" path I suspected he might be set on.

SINDRY by Crystel Greene is the third book in the Fennys Den College series. It is a non-shifter omegaverse gay romance between two Alphas, so no mpreg in this lovestory although it exists in the universe the story takes place in.  Braedan and  Sindry have amazing chemistry, a connection that can not be denied.  I loved this story - emotional, suspenseful,  sweet, fun, serious and steamy.  I adored the characters, both main and secondary.  I look forward to more books in this series, I have a feeling this will be one that I will reach for to reread many times.

Braedan finds love!

After meeting the pack alpha, Braedan in Stray, it was awesome to see him find a mate especially since he bound himself to a lifetime of being without a mate. Sindry was an unsuspecting mate as he was an alpha as well who had a horrible upbringing in the Starling pack and continued as a horrid adulthood. While Braedan handled the physical saving in this story, Sindry saved Braedan as well and allowed him to find love and a peacefulness he didn't know he wanted.

Sindry & Brae-dan are both alphas but yet they are still somehow mated! After meeting brae-dan and getting medical attention Something happens and Sin goes into heat! Brae-dan being a healer helps him with his heat & the rest is history! These two are amazing together and their happy ending is beyond deserved! ❤️😀

Good read!!

I haven't read the other books in this series but it didn't impact on my enjoyment of Sindry.
I really liked the storyline and the world building was interesting and well written. I liked Sindry and Braeden and will definitely read the other books in the series!

"My beginning and end"

Omg, the "This is me and I want you forever" scene!!
One of the sweetest, most romantic moments in the series yet
You know that smile you get when everything just clicks?
Yeah that was me

I had this picture of Dan from book one he was not really stuffy perse' but I'm not sure how to describe it properly. I see now it was more him worrying and wanting the best for his pack than truly wanting control via manipulation (there is a story/joke behind that). He was all marshmallow when it came to his "kids" - after he did all the necessary Alpha huffing and puffing.
Watching him battle with his own emotions and Alpha instincts? Dude was a rock 🤣 seriously!

Sindry just plain stole my heart (him and his cousins). He was treated as less than because of his lineage, but more so I think because he was different. Not quite the Alphas Alpha.
I can't comprehend how he kept his sights on what could be when his world was so bleak. I wish we got a chance to meet his mom, she sounded like a wonderful woman.
Wait till you meet him. He radiates so much happiness and hope.

And Rosie nurse fuddy-duddy- I loved her 🤸‍♀️
Adann, I am so glad to see you get your comeuppance.

Sindry's story has a bit of bullying and abuse but the emotional connection/relationship between him and Dan takes front and center. I enjoyed that we get both sides of the story from the characters' point of view.
Another heartwarming romance
Oh, and I think I know which Grayson is next to hand over his heart.
