WARNING SPOILERS :::::::::
You might even ask yourself: Why does she read second chance stories if she doesn't like it? Actually, I like, I've read so many beautiful stories of second chances, ROMANCES of second chances that I loved. And that's what I look for in the stories I read, ROMANCE. I don't know if I'm cynical or romantic, but when I read a story like that I really want to see what differentiates a true love from a random passion. What I think is that if one really loves the other attitudes speak louder than words. And what I've been reading about second chances lately is this. Only words when attitudes show otherwise. To me or in my culture 24 year old men are young yes but they are men and fully aware of their attitudes so the excuses used by the authors that I was "young and stupid" yes if you are 12. And once again reading the reviews, I really expected something different but unfortunately not. Just more of the same.
"H" and "h" meet and it's "love at first sight" they date for 1 year and all this time he didn't tell her that he was engaged to OW. When h learns about the engagement and gets very hurt so he promises to go to his parents to break the engagement but what does he do? He first decides to go talk to OW because he feels he "owes her an explanation." So he meets OW and they start drinking and what happens? They spend the night together and wakes up naked with OW the other day.That is, he CHEATED ON h. And even knowing that, he lies to h saying he broke off the engagement (which his not) and of course he doesn't say he slept with OW and they continue their relationship. But a month later OW shows up and says she's pregnant then, only then, does he tell her about the cheating, break up with her and marry the other woman because he wants to be part of her son's life. Now tell me? Where is the true love of lying to the other person for a year, cheating and continuing to lie? Later in the story, we learned that he did not really sleep with OW, that she was pregnant with another man and manipulated him to marry her because she didn't want to lose the inheritance they would only have if they married. If I was 15 I would think it was a beautiful love story, but today? Today I see that he really believed he cheated and yet lied to h. Even so, he preferred OW and money over h. And he just broke up with OW because he found out that the son wasn't his. Then no. I don't see the great love here. During the 10 years they were apart he says he searched for her, he thought about her EVERY DAY but STILL he had SEVERAL (SEVERAL) other women aiming to have what he had with h (do you see a pattern here?) . Another standard is that she was so devastated that she could never move on, always compared other men with him, that is, a man who treated her as disposable garbage. And as always, in less than a week after TEN YEARS (in the fifth chapter) they sleep together (and detail, even though she thinks he cheated on her, she wants him without a condom, very stupid here?) And yes, it might be that she passes the book all throwing it all in his face (I don't know that) but when I started to see that after ALL that the OW still was going to be the "nice one" and he was going to be the "poor one"? Then, the whole story of a great love has been lost to me. (And that story of marking her as his with a hiccup on her neck? What is it? An excuse of fairy tale shifter?)
I don't know about you, but in my opinion?It's just another book I've read many other times, nothing (NOTHING) original and the star is only worth having had other men too but as always was emotionally frozen by someone who didn't deserve it.

Second Chance Romance at its best! Heartbroken but strong and smart, Laura had moved on from the way the love of her life betrayed her by marrying the woman he was secretly engaged to all the while he was seeing her.
The whole appeal of this genre for me is the pain of the initial breakup, what caused it, and how the offending partner grovels to make amends. Usually it’s a silly communication issue, or commonly it’s the H leaving the h because he’s decided that he is not good enough for her.
Kudos to the author for thinking of this painful breakup but having Blake realizing his mistake and his way of trying to make it up to her.
Ten long years later, he got his second chance. True, it was pretty lame that the millions he spent turned up nothing during this time. She wasn’t trying to actively hide from him, she just used her mother’s maiden name instead.
I enjoyed the focused way Blake gave everything of himself to get Laura back. He never gave up, never blamed her, and was totally transparent with her.
The author created an intense heat and passion between them that was believable and filled with bittersweet emotions. Steamy scenes and heart filled moments that had me on their team from the get go.
Intriguing backstory along with corporate takeovers, betrayal, and lies that swirl around this powerful couple that refuse to be taken advantage of.
I loved the way they pooled their resources together and managed to stay one step ahead of their enemies to finally reach their HEA.
This was a find and a total keeper of a romance!

OMG! I loved The Lie, this series just keeps getting better and better. Blake and Laura’s story was more than I expected, it was everything. Emotional, sweet, sassy and sexy, but also filled with lies, secrets and heartbreak. Two people in love and broken because of a lie, and the truth that didn’t come to light until it was too late. Blake made a choice and that choice broke Lauren. Blake searched for years to find her and never thought he would until the night he heard her name and turned to see her standing in front of him was everything to him and a nightmare for her. Ten years have passed but the feelings and heartache are still there, but so is the love for each other. So much has happened can they fit together again? Can Laura forgive and forget? I guess he needs to get her to listen to him and for her to hear the truth of what really happened all those years ago.
Blake’s a changed man, and he wants to prove that to Laura, he wants her and only her. There is so much history it’s hard to walk away, but also hard to stay and fight when you don’t trust the man you still love. These two have a fight on their hands as Blake’s family is coming for him to ruin him. There’s danger, suspense and some good ole down home southern hotness that just radiates off of Blake. I have to say Blake is my favorite in this series and I enjoy all of the other characters intertwined within this series. Loved it and can’t wait for The Trap and The Gamble! I received a copy of this book.

Another stellar story in the All In series! Maggie Cole creates some of the best characters I have ever had the pleasure of reading. The stories will break your heart then build you up to believe in happily ever after again. She squeezes out ever bit of emotion and feeling in her stories leaving the reader happily exhausted but elated by the ending.
Blake was pressured by his parents to marry their friend's daughter Sherry. He loved Laura and planned to marry her but Sherry told him she was pregnant and they had a quickie wedding breaking Laura's heart. Sherry lied about Blake being the father and after a DNA test he divorced her and spent the next 10 years trying to find Laura. They meet on Tom's jet and after a lot of crying and apologizing they start over. Blake's companies come under attack from his and Sherry's families and the entire crew work together to permanently get them out of Blake and Sherry's lives. Blake and Laura finally get their HEA after death threats, attempted murder, and parental surprises for Blake and Sherry.

This is a superb addition to the series with an excellent plot, a smooth hero and a sassy heroine. Ten years ago Laura’s life fell apart when she discovered that the love of her life had lied to her. She left him and Texas behind and now has a successful job working for Tom and Phil. During a bad snow storm Laura finds her past and present collide when Tom is asked if he can give a friend of Jack’s a ride back to New York on Tom’s jet, and that friend just so happens to be Laura’s past beau Blake.
Blake has spent the last ten years looking for Laura, hoping he can to set the record straight and get her to give him another chance. He has never forgiven himself for how everything that happened and he has never stopped loving her. Now that he has found her again, he is determined to make her his as it’s clear that the attraction and passion is still between them. The plot is entertaining with drama, wit and passion throughout, and the much loved characters from the previous books get involved. Another excellent read by Maggie Cole.

Powerful Story! Great Read! Has Everything!
This 4th installment of the “All In” series is absolutely incredible! Blake & Laura are a 2nd chance romance couple who were brutally separated at the peak of their love story. Ten years later fate throws them back together unexpectedly. Blake will melt your heart with his sincerity and drive to reclaim Laura as his but will she open her heart to him again after the heartbreak he caused her? This book is filled super hot steamy sex but their story also takes the reader to very unexpected places filled with terror, trauma & depth of emotion. Maggie Cole is so very talented at implementing the art of surprise - her clever twists keep the reader on edge and can bring tears to your eyes during some very emotional moments. You’ll enjoy the journey between these two very strong, confident characters. As with the other previous books - favorite characters from the other books return to truly enhance this story. It’s still a stand alone read though. Highly recommended read! Thanks Maggie for another awesome read.

Can she ever forgive his lie and betrayal and learn to trust him again
The Lie is the fourth book in the All In Series by Maggie Cole and is about Laura Aimee and Blake Montgomery. Blake lied to and betrayed Laura a decade ago which caused a lot of hurt for her, which she has never really gotten over to this day. When they find themselves crossing paths again he wants a second chance. The question is whether she will ever be able to forgive him and more importantly trust him again. What he did was really unforgivable but maybe love can find a second chance between them.
This story is really well written with a completely surprising story-line, as in it is not the usual plot. The characters are nicely developed with emotions and depth of thoughts. This is not an easy story to read so have some tissue beside you as you will shed more than a few tears along the way with Laura's journey. But in the end they will be happy tears.

May Be My Favorite of the Series
I have had fun with all the stories in one way or another, but this one didn't test my nerves too badly on any real level, so I'm happy with it. The other stories found me irritated in some way, but good reads nonetheless. This was a good all around fun read and the issues concerning the couple was good. The friends are once again amazing with each other and the writing related to how they interact and support each other is great. The sexual relationship between this couple was intense and fun to read even though it was it out of control and not very reasonable, it was understandable based on the couple's history....they were madly in love, tricked into breaking up, and then reunited when the truth and criminals behind their breakup came out. They made up for lost time and once again, the personality of male main male character is dream worthy!

Blake and Laura will make you feel all the things.
10 years after a lie rips them apart Laura and Blake find themselves thrown together and stumbling to move on with their lives. Blake's love for Laura is over shadowed by his need for forgiveness. Laura was devastated by Blake's lie 10 years ago, never really able to move on or open herself up to anyone romantically since.
Blake's unwavering faith in their love will make you believe in love all over again. Laura's strength and her ability to see a situation for what it is brings a wonderful balance and more emotions. While they try to find their way to each other Blake's family has other more sinister plans. The danger surrounding them will either bring them closer or tear them apart.
This book had me crying, laughing, and holding my breath. Great read!

Everyone deserves a second chance....especially Blake and Laura! After 10 years, what are the odds they would meet again? This book had all the feels! There are lies and deception but also love and lust and pure attraction! I love a good steamy book, and Maggie Cole delivered once again. Blake and Laura were mean to be together....or were they?!? This book pulls you in from the very beginning and does not let you go.....ever! Just when you think all is right in the world again..... there is a twist you did not see coming...letting Laura and Blake work together like only they can so they can see that they are meant to be together! This book is the fourth book in the All In Series. If you have not read these books yet, you need to get them....now!

Maggie Cole does it again. She has a way of weaving a story that reels you in. The Lie is the fourth installment in the All In Series. Blake and Laura meet up after being apart for ten years. Laura is still hurt over the breakup, and Blake is desperate to show her he is a changed man. There are certainly bumps, twists, and suspense in this book. I really liked Blake and Laura as a couple. They were meant for one another. As with the other books, the secondary characters are an important part of the story. I liked the way Maggie Cole wrote Sherry. I didn't feel like i was pushed into understanding Sherry's motives from ten years ago, nor how she evolved in those years. I have been enjoying the All In Series, and can't wait for The Trap. I highly recommend The Lie.

10 years ago a lie separated Blake and Laura forever. Devastated, Laura moves to New York and starts an amazing career. Blake stayed in Texas, built his business from scratch and searched for Laura.
Both are older and wiser now, but have trouble seeing passed the lie.
I loved everything about this story. It’s angst, action, and drama with just the right amount of steam. These two have Amazing chemistry!!! Plus you get a little glimpse of past characters. 😍😍😍
Definitely a five star read. Can’t wait for the next book.

Blake is in love with Laura. Sherry lies about being pregnant with his baby, and he is forced to marry her. Their marriage ends when her deceit is disclosed. It takes him 10 years to find Laura, and then he has to convince her that he has changed, that they can have the relationship that should have been years ago. What a story this is! And not just a romance, either, but action and suspense as his family sets out to destroy him. This has been a terrific series so far, and I'm looking forward to the next book.

This was an awesome book that I really enjoyed. The story and characters grabbed me from the beginning and I couldn't stop reading. I loved the characters and watching them grow together, they were well written and went well together. I found this book amazing with great word building making me feel apart of the story and watching it unfold in front of me. A definite must read for any fan and I can't wait to read more from this author!!!

While this is a second-chance romance, it is more than the two protagonists that need that chance; it’s the people that have shaped their lives and the need for that second chance. While the action is fast and gripping and the characters are appealing and engaging, I think I wanted more emotional engagement. Having said this, the scenes are HOT, the characters are empathetically drawn and people you’d want as friends, and the end is the kind of HEA you’re rooting for.

A riveting and thrilling second chance book four in the All In series! The story-line is well written, engaging, emotionally deep, funny, and enjoyable. A steamy fast pace page turner with drama, ups and downs, suspense, danger, nefarious acts, and off the charts chemistry! The characters are well developed, likeable; the chemistry between them is blazing hot! I look forward to reading the next book in the series. Definitely recommended.

Maggie Cole keeps writing more amazing books time and time again. Never boring, always keeping us excited , thrilled, scared, loved and the hot sex is really , really hot. The characters have us pulled into their lives and all that is happening. It's sad that there are only 2 more books in the All In Series but I'm positive that they are going to be just as wonderful as the others. Plus she keeps us excited because we know more books will be coming sometime and I know I want to read everyone of them

Great book
This is the 4th book in the All in series and it follows Blake and Laura. Who loved each other years ago, but we’re pulled apart.
This book was so good. The characters were so real, and amazing. Laura is strong, and knows how to take care of herself. Blake, built his fortune up from nearly nothing. When they finally meet again, there relationship is explosive. This was one of those book that you just can put down. I’m ashamed that it’s taken me this long to finally read it. Definitely recommend it, and this entire series.

This series just keeps getting better. I really love second chance romance. The way Laura and Blake ran into one another 10 years after he broke her heart was perfect. Blake was determined to win her back. Laura was determined she wasn't letting him. Both of them spent the past 10 years still in love with each other. While watching Blake work to get Laura back, while she fought him, they definitely had their moments. I enjoyed how this story unfolds and, of course, seeing the characters from the other books.

what a wonderful story, he is a real alpha who will not let her go after the first time, the second time. despite her broken heart, she takes him back .. but then things happen on his and her work and they go along with their friends, tackling the past. I enjoyed this story, hot, full of romance and friends who are ready for you. from me 5 stars.. love the title.. it really fits

This book was amazing. I loved the storyline and the character development. I found myself rooting for each of the characters, but especially the leads. I couldn’t wait to see what would happen next and was completely surprised when I got to the end. Definitely a must read....and I can’t wait to read other books in the series.

The Lie is huge! I enjoyed this new "All In" story about second chances. I really enjoyed Blake and Laura's story. It's a tad emotional but also sweet and sexy. I like the plot and the how the story developed. It's an intriguing read with lies, deception, wittiness, suspense and great twists and turns. The chemistry between the characters is great! You cannot help but cheer these two on in the end.

Hurt by lies from 10 years ago can never be forgotten. When Blake & Laura meet again, they still have feelings for each other. The problem is the hurt from lies never goes away. Blake will do anything to have her back. Problem is Laura won't go there again as she barely survived the last time. Maggie does it again. Can't wait for the next book in the series

I absolutely loved The Lie by Maggie Cole!! The story line and characters were great!! If your looking for a streamy romance id get any of the ALL IN series!! Laura and Blake have had a rough road and when Blake comes back he does everything in his power to win Laura back!! You will love this story!! Once you start reading their story you will not want to put it down!! I absolutely love this couple in the series!! Tom and his Ben and Jerry's show up as well!! Lol

This was a super read it is the fourth book in the series but can be read on its own. I love a good second chance romance and this one was superb they plot was great and just had me hooked right from the very start. I felt for both Blake and Laura and quickly found myself rooting for these two I would recommend this book I really enjoyed it
