If you're looking for a fun, fast-paced mystery with lots of humor, magic, and southern sass, then this is the book for you!
I was born and raised in the South and even hung my motorcycle helmet in Colorado for a few months. I've always had a touch of wanderlust and have never feared just packing up and going on new adventures, whether in real life or via the pages of a great book.
When I was a little girl, I didn't want to grow up to be a writer—I wanted to raise unicorns and be a superhero. When those gigs fell through, I chose the next best thing: creating my own magical lands filled with adventure, magic, humor, and romance.
I live in Florida with my two dogs and when I'm not writing or reading, I'm racing motorcycles with my taller, more handsome half, hanging out at the beach, or binge-watching anything magical on Netflix.
I'm eternally grateful for all the people who help make my life what is today - friends, readers, family. No woman is an island.

There's trouble (again) at the Enchanted Coast resort. Water witch/bar manager Destiny Maganti and her werewolf/lawyer boyfriend Colin are taking a romantic walk by the fairy pools when the encounter the body of a dead Valkyrie, whose fellow Valkyries are out for blood once they discover her death. Plus, there's other weirdness with Destiny's brother and sister.
The entire Enchanted Coast Magical Mystery series is just plain fun. The cozy mystery elements are complicated by the supernatural elements to create a unique fantasy-mystery hybrid. The book is short and not very deep, but it's a light, fun summer read.
A double mystery for Destiny Manganti this time. She has a murder in the new addition to the Enchanted Coast Resort and her cousin, Mila, seems to be unavailable. I really enjoy meeting all the different paranormal resort visitors and employees as each book seems to introduce a new denizen of the paranormal world. A few deft twists and an unexpected connection between the two mysteries kept me turning the pages.
Light, fun and entertaining! The author is a visual writer - her descriptive style makes you feel as if you are right there at the Enchanted Coast Resort, toes in the sand, the sound of the ocean in your ears and a tropical cocktail in your hand! I love the cast of characters - Destiny and her gang of friends and coworkers as well as the different types of paranormals that visit the resort - the author really lets her imagination fly with those descriptions. My favorite is Margo the Sphinx that guards the entrance to the resort - sand drifts down on everyone when she moves and talks with them - that just tickles my funny bone. And a shop called Chocolatte that serves chocolate and coffee? Yes, sign me up! The entire series is very imaginative and total joy to read - highly recommend.
As always and entertaining paranormal cozy mystery Series
Extraordinary paranormal cozy mystery series. One of many series in this particular authors world. A beach resort for supernaturals where are you never know who’s going to show up. Follow along as our characters stumble upon the body of a guest. Then follow their quest to find out who is responsible. In the supernatural world whoever the victim is their species justice prevails. So they better get it right the first time. A fun and entertaining series with unique characters in storyline. In this world mini characters from the different series occasionally crossover. Summer even related to each other. A quick and fun read check it out
Great characters, good writing, never see whodunit and a nice easy read. There's no bad language, sex scenes or violence just a well told interesting mystery with a strong paranormal element. I love them I especially like her other series the Witches of Keyhole Lake which features the Mageri's cousins. Destiny Mageri the main character in these books is a water witch and works as a bartender/ waitress at the pool area of a resort run exclusively for paranormals. In each book---- so far---- there has been a murder which Destiny uses her skills to help solve along with her familiar an article fox named Tempest and her boyfriend a werewolf and lawyer, Colin.. Always a nice easy way to pass some time.
I wonder if there is a series for Mila. I am also reading Cori's series.
I hope she can figure out how to be resort manager and bartender at the same time because whoever heard of not advancing to next level when you have the chance to?
Jealous is the theme of the book. it touches on the half sister being jealous of the dead sister because she receive the job they both applied for and inherited the bow from her mom. then there is also the eatery waitress, who ignore everyone while being super nice to the brother who she had a crush on.
I love the Enchanted Coast series!!! The Lethal Luau does not disappoint, with Destiny, Tempest, and Colin how could it? Now add in some Valkyrie drama and some family drama and you've got a book that you will not be able to put down!!! I don't want to give away any spoilers so you'll just have to trust me, as always this is a GREAT read!!!! While visiting the Enchanted Coast there's lots of fun in the sun with magical creatures all of us know and love, a little murder, as well as lots to look forward to!!!
I love this Enchanted Coast and this was another great book with Destiny and the gang. There was going to be a Big Luau and Destiny and her boyfriend Colin both had the whole weekend off. They went for a walk in the woods when they discovered the death of a Valkyrie. Now the race is on for Destiny to find out who murder this woman before the Valkyrie come and preform their own form of justice. Follow Destiny and have a good time trying to figure this murder out.
I absolutely love Destiny, Tempest and all the folks at the Enchanted Coast. Destiny is a powerhouse in both personality and magical ability. Tempest is hilarious and the perfect familiar for her. Together, the two are all kinds of awesome! When a woman is murdered, it's up to the duo to solve the mystery before an innocent man gets the blame. Really, an excellent story with delightful characters and exceptional writing.
I liked this one much better. The mystery wasn't as obvious & it had a little better character development. If course, Mike's name was back from being Mia in the last book. Also, in the 2nd book they said that Bob had taken over as manager & Destiny helped him out. In this one she's acting manager & wants Blake to find a manager. It doesn't make sense. The inconsistencies in this series is bothering me.
Destiny Maganti is up to her ears in murder again. But to make matters worse, her beloved cousin is acting strange, and worse yet, she’s lying to Destiny. Will Destiny be able to handle the truth about her cousin’s new career? Will you? Buy the book and find out: a must read!
Destiny has the whole weekend off and gets to spend it with her boyfriend Colin. That lasts like half a day when she stumbles upon a dead halfling-half fae and half Valkyrie. She is given 48 hours to solve the murder, and if she fails the Valkyrie will take over.
The series is fun and the characters are pretty easy to relate to. This mystery was a bit better with some actual investigation going on - sort of. There continue to be editing issues with repeated conversations and typos. It felt like a few things either were never explained or just sort of fell through the cracks. I will continue with the series though. It's a quick and easy read.
I like this storyline about a paranormal resort. The characters are well developed and interesting. The conversations flow naturally and the plot and subplots move quickly. Can't wait for the next installment!
LOVE this series. This one came with some stunning surprises. Love all the characters and the SENSIBILITY of Destiny! Tempest is a hoot!! And her relationships with all the supernatural friends is well grounded. Bring on Book 4. Like NOW!
This series is a fun, light read. Generally very enjoyable. Perhaps it is me, but I felt that some of the plot line didn't really fall into place. Not so bad as to ruin the read, but enough to make me have to stop and think "Wait ... what??"
I really enjoy Ms. Maher's books. There did seem to be some editing problems in this book though. Conversations would happen and then a few pages later the characters would act like they didn't. Things of that nature. Still. I enjoy these mysteries and the setting. I look forward to more.
Loved the book. There were a couple typos but it didn't detract from the book. I really enjoyed it and recommend this series. Looking forward to the next book.
No language, violence is off page, and no sexual situations only romantic ones.
I love the enchanted coast mysteries they are just a bit lighter and easier to read but you can be guaranteed a smile and a visit from characters from other of Maher's series. She says she enjoys writing them and it tells.
I love Des, she is a kick butt witch! She has a good heart and wants her friends to be happy. Someone kills a Valkyrie and Des is on the case. The mystery is tied to some secret goings on so pay attention to the details!
I love that this series is set in the magical world with lots of imaginative characters. Maher's books are always easy to read and move quickly along. This series is especially enjoyable with it's laid back feel with interesting magical mysteries.
You can tell Tegan is settling into this series and it's just getting better!! I can't wait for the next one...luckily I won't have to with being a late one to find her. But like I've said before, this series will make you brush up on your Mythology!!
There were so many new types of characters added in this book. This really kept the action moving and kept it interesting. I never expected the person who killed her could have done it. Surprise!
Destiny Who is ready for a day off. Being a manager and barkeep was just too much but she didn’t think she could ask Blake to replace the manager yet. He was overwork too. Now everybody was getting ready for a luau. The book is cute, and of course more murder.
This series, set in a resort for paranormal folk, is a very pleasant reading experience. Even with a murder, the charm remains. Sad that I can’t go to this nice place to vacation in real life.
