Alison Brownstone is a Drow Princess with no ordinary powers. Time to remind a few people just what that means. Kick ass, don’t bother taking names.
Alison is in Mongolia to rescue Mr. D’s nephew, but things aren’t adding up. Are the other Drow trying to off Alison and her team to secure their succession?
The Drow haven’t learned their lesson about messing with a Brownstone? Any Brownstone.
Still, the challenges keep coming. The Drow aren’t the only ones making trouble. The Guardians are involved as well and aren’t as neutral as everyone thinks.
But chaos can breed opportunities. Can Alison make the necessary sacrifices to make it happen?
Can Alison defeat all the challengers coming her way? Will she ever get an ordinary life… well… for a Brownstone.
Judith Berens is a figment of your imagination, made up of the fevered brainpower of Michael Anderle and Martha Carr, fueled by a lot of people helping them out - as well as all of you, The Fans. Great stories mixed with a lot of great readers equals more adventures to follow.
Everything is slowly coming to a head in this book.
Alison is being gradually positioned into a place where, even though she doesn't know it, her attitude of neutrality, with the Drows, is going to have to change.
Whether working for the gnome, Mr D, once more, or practicing her Drow magic, and battle strategies, with the Drow Princesses Rasila and Miar, Alison ends up being challenged by Novati, Princess of the Dark Sun.
What happens in their confrontation could change everything, not only for the Drows, but also for the Earth, and Oriceran, too.
But is there something, or someone, manipulating her behind the scenes? If so, what is it that they really want, and will Alison allow this to continue?
As usual in this series, there were some awesome fight scenes with Alison and her Team, with them fighting quite an assortment of beings.
Despite Alison's oft-quoted desire to give her enemies a chance, they all seem to be totally deaf to the stories going around, in what to expect if they choose to fight! Lol
I have to admit that I find this a bit tedious occasionally, but do like it when Alison forgets to be the reasonable one, and instead follows on with her adopted Father's ways.
James Brownstone taught her well! Lol
The next book in this series, is the final one of the Alison Brownstone set of series. Book fifteen: 'Drow Triumphant', will let us know exactly how Alison will organise things - I'm very much eager to know how, if she does win, she'll work out being the Queen of the Drow, with her very much preferred life as a Security specialist, on Earth!
But, as it's silly o'clock once more, and I have a group of visitors coming to see me later today, I guess I need to catch up on some sleep first.
As I won't get to start reading this final book of the series until later on today, it's going to be a real job to not grab my book whenever I can - but visitors are rare, so I'll be patient, and enjoy an uninterrupted read later on.
And, once I do finish the book, I'll catch you on the flip side, to let you know what I thought about it!
Thankfully, there are still a couple of books from the James Brownstone series still to read, too, once this one is over! Lol
A really good story, very few flaws, not worth mentioning.
Another excellent book in the series, I know the series is winding to its conclusion. This book was very well done fast paced an excellent cast of characters The only thing I did not like is Allison being so preachy and wanting people to surrender. In my Pinyan sometimes she talks too much. I’m glad she realize that sometimes she Hass to do what her father did. If the next book happens to be the last one in the series I hope that James brown stone will be in the book, after all she started with him and would be very fitting for her to finish with him. Great series if you haven’t read it do so.
Ok sushi is life for Allison who totally kills it in this book. Every book has a new element that makes me love this series even more. Finally Allison's team makes it to Oriceran. Read this adventure to see if they kick a$$. I really thought the ghost was going to show up to help his daughter. Kind of disappointed he didn't but wasn't my plot! Lol I am positive Drea will get what is coming to her before the end of the series. Not like Allison had a real choice about what she truly wanted to do with the Drow. Her hand was forced. Who knew finding a gnome could lead to fighting Russians in Mongolia. Lol only a brownstone would let that happen!
It's like part of this series has gone back full circle because once again, Mr D needs Alison's help and its to do with his nephew. Alison totally kills it in this book and this doesn't drag like the others because while all were action-packed, the writing was chunky. This one was smooth and did not slow the plot down any time soon. The thing that annoys me is that Alison is always so preachy about surrendering and every time she mentions killing someone, she always talks about how she offered them a chance. I also still hate Mason, he is a total waste of time. Things are getting tense with the drow, the next book is the final book and I think it will be epic
Why won’t they just leave her alone? It is not a lot to ask for, but now they have pushed her too far. And now the Drow princesses are taking action. The scheming is forcing Alison to take action. And threatening her family and friends is guaranteed to bring a Brownstone response. A great read and I just don’t want to wait for the next book... I want it now.
Alison cleaned up a few missions, but the hand of an enemy Drow Princess seems involved in attacks on Alison and her friends. The struggle for who will be the next Queen of the Drow is heating up, and Alison is caught up in the middle of it. I just downloaded I the next book "Drow Triumphant".
Yesss, things are heating up with the Drow, Alison has some decisions to make and all while combating evil, finding a lost gnome and hanging out with hubby and her team. An utterly brilliant and captivating read, can’t wait to see how the Drow situation plays out, I have my suspicions….
This is great. Allison and her team continue to amaze and confound her enemies . With her strength growing , will she change or remain a force for light in the darkness that is the Drow ?
Alison is embroiled in Drow politics regardless of her wishes, and she is not happy. Drow Conqueror continues her story and I had to read it through in the one sitting as it is so compelling. I cannot wait for Drow Triumphant to be released.
Allison and friends right ancient monsters, evil brotherhood and wicked princesses. I can't wait for the finale. Thank you Martha and Mike. These books are amazing.
Lots and lots of action from start to finish. Full of excitement, adventure, danger, and ideas of what the future may hold. Will she have no choice but to become the next Drow queen?
Another good installment in the series. Alison is forced to fight one of the Drow princesses while also avoiding a deadly trap. It's all coming to a head and more are going to die. Looking forward to the next book.
Alison Brownstone at her best! The honeymoon is over and it’s back to business . A simple well planned job? Yeah that’s not going to happen. Get it, read it, love it, review it.
Another great Brownstone story. Lots of action and intrigue as the tale continues to progress. Allison continues her journey as a kick ads and I love every moment of it.
Loved it. The outcome was as I hoped. Now we need to see what happens next! The requirement for so many words in a review is assuming and a pain in the ass. I will cease to leave reviews if this continues. Suffice it to say, I enjoyed the book!
Half truths and lies, twists and turns, the drow at least have the honor in the end to face up and fight to the death of needed, personaly, it's a pity earth's polis lack even that small amount of honor.
Wow! Alison kicked some serious ass in this book. First in the Gobi Desert then she killed an Oriceran Princess, who actually wanted to fight Alison! It didn't work out go well for her.
The Drow death match begin! All Drow princess plus Guardian plus any other interested parties all mixed into a big blender, scratching and clawing each others
Well written as usual, nice to see some old friends again a bit more seriously than last visit. Boy am I looking forward to seeing they manipulative Drow wench get pounded in the future...looking for the next book.
