Kristen Ashley

Kristen Ashley was born in Gary, Indiana, USA. She nearly killed her mother and herself making it into the world, seeing as she had the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck (already attempting to accessorise and she hadn't taken her first breath!).

Kristen grew up in Brownsburg, Indiana but has lived in Denver, Colorado and the West Country of England. Thus she has been blessed to have friends and family around the globe. Her posse is loopy (to say the least) but loopy is good when you want to write.

Kristen was raised in a house with a large and multi-generational family. They lived on a very small farm in a small town in the heartland and existed amongst the strains of Glenn Miller, The Everly Brothers, REO Speedwagon and Whitesnake (and the wardrobes that matched).

Needless to say, growing up in a house full of music, clothes and love was a good way to grow up.

And as she keeps growing up, it keeps getting better.

Teamwork for the win…

You would not believe the lengths I went to to get my hands on and listen to The Plan Commences. The original release date was a week before Christmas, my birthday, and I was on a cruise ship with no Wi-Fi to download a copy. Hubby, being the sweetheart that he is, did some research into how I could download without having to fork out hundreds of dollars (I’m not kidding). We were about to have a stop over in New Caledonia so we decided if worse came to worse, we would go to the local Maccas. Well, we bought two cokes for $15.00 (no joke) and got their Wi-Fi login. SUCCESS!!

No, on returning to the ship I didn’t lock myself in my cabin and hibernate to listen to my audiobook, but I did dedicate an hour or two each day to relax and listen. By the end of the cruise I had finished BUT darling hubby accidentally left my laptop plugged into the TV at home and I had no way to write my review. When I did arrive home, I attempted to get my thoughts down, but it was impossible. Too much had happened. I was overwhelmed when I first listened, but it was hard to remember why. So, after much deliberation, I decided to wait until closer to the release of #3 and listen again.

I loved my second listen as much as the first time if not more. I think you tend to be able to concentrate better the second time around. You know the characters, understand where they’ve been and what they’re facing, and can concentrate on the important parts. Like the first instalment, there are parts that leave you giddy with glee and other parts that have you shaking and shivering in horror. I understand the characters better and I believe we are getting a picture of what it’s all about.

It really is all about things coming together in The Plan Commences. This second instalment sees the couples becoming connected, not just in marriage but in their feeling for each other. Each couple is a team and they’re fighting together. I was worried in the first instalment that the series would be all about them working individually to fight the beast and only coming together at the end. Thankfully, I had nothing to worry about. In true Kristen Ashley fashion, each couple work together to fight evil. I LOVED IT!!

I saw Lahn…well, I heard Lahn… It was great that the other Fantasyland characters dropped in but Lahn is still my favourite. He gets all cranky…swoon…

The ending was a cliffhanger which wasn’t a surprise. I did feel a little unsure with how things ended though as I’m not sure who is left standing.

It’s not an easy story to listen to with so many narrators but I’m finally getting to recognise the accents and connect the voices to the characters. I have some favourite characters and surprisingly, they happened to be matched to some of my favourite narrators.

Without having read this story first, you really must pay attention. When Fantasyland came out on audio, I had already read the stories numerous times. I knew the characters, the storyline and their love stories. I could just sit back and enjoy. In this case, it’s INTENSE and any lapse in concentration or distraction can make you miss an integral part of the story.

I’m glad I’ve timed my second listen so well as tomorrow is the release date for The Dawn of the End. I can’t wait to get started because I need to know what happens next. I hate those dodgy priests.

DNF.....I give up. I think I could like this series if it wasn’t so much work to keep track of so many main characters/couples along with all various family members. Reading shouldn’t be this much work....it’s doing my head in LOL. It’s disappointing because characters from the Fantasyland Series were making appearances. No rating.

It’s downloaded and ready to go.....Why does this feel like such a chore???

I listened to 24 hours of the audiobook and only 5 min (the last 5 min) was actually something happening! I think it was a bad idea to make audiobooks of a series with absolutely nothing happening in it, except conversations, discussions, conversations, discussions, a bit of sex, conversations, discussions, conversations, discussions between main characters and bad-guy sex (that was more repelling than it was sexy). I repeat. 24 damn hours of audio of nothing. That 5 min of action in the ending just pissed me off. It wasn't even 5 min. Maybe 2 or 3. I would've given this 1 star if I didn't actually find the main couples interesting :(

This is the second book in a fantasy series, and since I already have a detailed review of the first book I will leave it here if you want to know more about the world and the main characters, and there are a lot of them, because I don’t want to repeat myself… a lot of my thoughts and feelings about this one are similar to those about that first installment, so if you’re interested, here’s the link:

https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Ok, now let me share a few things about this sequel… I liked it better than the first book, and am giving it 3,5 stars when it comes to the rating… I am definitely hoping the last two will be better and at least one of them will reach those four stars or higher… it was definitely easier to focus on the story and what was happening now that I know all the main players in it… there was a lot of eye rolling during the first 30-40 % of the story, because our couples were NOT communicating with each other, and a lot of situations could have been resolved much better, and sooner, if they would actually talked with one another… so you won’t be surprised when I will tell you that there was a lot of “I told you so!” yelled during the second half of the book… you know, when they started to talk to each other honestly ;) including one scene between Mars and Silence that a lot of people were mad about that happened at the end of the first book they are still my favourite couple, with True and Farah being a close second :) I think it’s mostly because Firenze are my favourite nation in this world… they are just so open and unabashedly honest about who they are and what they want… :) things are happening and moving forward with all of our four main couples, we get to know a little bit more about the Beast, but the bad guys still all blur together in my mind… we also had a few more scenes with the main characters from Kristen Ashley’s Fantasyland series, and because I didn’t read them, I was a bit confused who’s who and what they can do… the audiobook is 23+ hours long but once again I listened to it pretty quickly, cause I was curious to see what will happen next… although skipping between different couples all the time makes it harder to connect to them… also, the pacing feels a bit weird, specifically because we skip between perspectives all the time, everything is happening all over the place… especially since our couples are in different places throughout a big portion of the story… I am hoping it will be better in the next book, cause hopefully they will stay with each other… the book ends on a cliffhanger, and even though the next installment is gonna be published in less than a month, be prepared for the painful wait :) all in all it’s an interesting story with potential, but if I didn’t have them available through my Audible Escape subscription I’m not sure if I would pick them up for myself… the guys are all alpha types, and that’s not usually my type… although we do see some other sides to them in this book… similar thing can be said about the women… they are supposed to be most powerful in all the lands and we have yet to see more from them… but there is some character growth happening and at least some of them are showing more decisive and strong sides… although I honestly have to say that I still expected more from them much faster… we’ll see what’s gonna happen next ;)

XOXO

Everyone knows I'm a Kristen Ashley fan. I read a lot of books written by her. What I like most about her series is that I meet characters from other series, or allude to characters from previous series and most importantly I adore the soulful, fearless female, and alpha male characters who move the mountains for their women and children.
In this series we meet characters from the Fantasyland series.

This book is much better than book 1.

I think part of it is the introducing of the new world is already set up from book 1, that's always a difficult balance to make sure the reader has enough understanding of the new culture, world, language, customs plus the new characters with their history and relationship dynamic with the actual plot.

It still deals with the four couples at once and I still get a bit confused who is with who.

In the audible version, each chapter is preceded with a clear description of whose POV, location and setting.

Multiple POV including enemy. Different voices with different accents to convey the various cultures.

None of the couples are getting on at all during the first quarter of the book.

This is something I feel KA excels at, to me she is at her best writing male/female conflict.
As an example, one couple haven't spoken for days due to an action one of them made. He's avoiding her. She is ready to sort things out. He comes in late, she tries he shuts her down. She leaves for a bit, he has time to think, she spends time with a friend who says he's being an idiot. When she returns he accepts her apology which she now wants to withdraw as she now feels she shouldn't have apologized in the first place.
He thinks they have made up and she wonders if they are having the same conversation as each other.

Some parts between the couples are hilarious.

Some are very touching and some hurtful.

The Hero and heroines are not perfect. As a reader you can see both sides.

Some conversations you really wanted to happen from situations book 1 happen others are shelved, with such a long series some things will have to be held back for a later time.

The enemy threat builds. There is some violence, some detail, including one with an axe.. ew.... The enemies seem to relish in it and some scenes are gruesome.
Possible triggers with those depending on your level of sensitivity.
There are also references to m/m and ménage but the scenes come later in the book this time in the second half of the book.

Most of the relationship dynamic and even conversations or phrases used have appeared in KA's previous work if you are a fan but i enjoyed though I haven't reread her work in some time.

In many ways it feels slow burn between the couples, we have the old Rock Chick maneuver where the Hero has a reason to sleep in the same bed as the heroine though there are various situations as to why they are not having sex yet.
There are is some intimacy, eventually sexual scenes for the couples.

True to me is developing as backbone but it may be a journey we take with him as he seems a bit of a wimp at times though under the title of a 'gentleman'. I am hoping to see him develop during the rest of the series as he has some good qualities and his role is yet to be.

I have found the name of some of the characters don't work for audible, for example True and Silence.
When the character Silence is said it's hard to work out for a minute if someone is asking for the room to be quiet or calling one of the heroines. Same with True, are they talking to him, about him or proclaiming a statement is accurate. To me not the best choice considering this is primarily an audible project.

I have enjoyed this as an audible, which I am new to but I do think it may not have been the best choice of books to introduce as an audible first as the sheer immense number of characters involved can make it a challenge for the listener

We also see odd scenes here and there from the other four couples from the original Fantasyland series, as if the original four couples weren't enough to get your head around.

As well as developing the couples relationships or not as in the case of some we are also introduced to more of the magic of the land as the couples travel and visit various areas.
Gnomes, pixies, mermaids and some that are from the authors imagination.

There are a few references to the ménage relationship, redemption for one man involved in that which is a bit bizarre as it seems his bad family background is going to excuse him for his involvement in the Rising.

Serena situation is a bit bizarre too. She is quite the b**** at times but the treatment of her in putting her in her place shows a very unpleasant side to the Heroes who either know about it or have organised it.

Cassius and Aramus can be particularly unpleasant and cruel at times, sometimes it goes a bit too far to be forgiven and Mars I felt played games a bit with Silence over sex. She is naive and innocent and he is widely experienced but although he eventually sorts things out he flirts with others at times when if she had played games like that he would not have stood for it.
But this can be typical KA character Hero behaviour at times.

Ends on a cliffhanger as it's part of a four part book series.

**These books must be read in order. Spoilers from the previous book**

The flow of this series is unusual. As I said in my last review, HERE … she basically just dumped all the plot ingredients in book one, which made it quite hard to follow/keep everything straight. It switches POV constantly making the plot choppy AF, and reads as one giant novel broken down in 4 parts. For example, this starts with chapter 36, just after the attack. There’re no breaks or recapping, we just continue on, so you really have to read these all back-to-back continuously which is quite an undertaking (over 2000 pages) to keep up.

The problem is that even though there’re numerous moving parts, everything moves at a 🐌 pace, and like the first book nothing really happens until the end. The page-time isn’t even, Mars/Silence and Cassius/Elena take up the majority, so I’ve lost interest in True/Farah and Aramus/Ha-lah, which makes their parts quite boring for me. Also, couple issues are DRAGGED on way to long. For example, many readers were left furious when Mars mentioned bringing others into their bed at the end of book 1. Rather than using her words, Silence basically pushes Mars away for 60% of the book 😱 and then one convo fixes everything. And I’m sorry (SPOILER) but the whole part of her having no idea what sex was, or that men could orgasm too was ridiculous. She been enjoying digit and oral orgasms for months, and never realized it went both ways??!! Whatever. Silence is on my last nerve… she supposed to save the world, but can’t open her mouth and converse with her very approachable husband, or see the machinations of her father that has been awful her entire life.

Bottom Line- I’m getting a handle on all the deets, and am just interested enough to keep going... we’ll see. I still think this could’ve been way shorter without all the side-plots. I also think I’d have been more connected to the couples if we weren’t constantly bouncing around. The sexytime/development of relationships is slow going. It takes 55% of book 2 (roughly 800 pages) to get to some real forward movement of one couple… and they’ve been married nearly a year by that time. Up to this point, all interactions have either been rape of sacrifices, between the priests, or the Teddy, Faunus, Saturn 3-some. Once the first couple breaks the seal, the other couples FINALLY fall into place, and we pretty much have 4 committed relationships by the end.

*Fantasyland crossover- Short chapter from Lahn’s POV. They’re with Tor & Cora. Circe is having visions about the Beast, and Frey sends a dragon as a message to come. Frey/Finnie & Apollo/Maddie are already sailing to Triton on the Finnie. Tor and Lahn get into a brawl in Airen because they disrespected Circe and Cora. Frey/Finnie and Apollo/Maddie attend True’s wedding.

Love this book. Same review as before. Happy reading!

Original Review- December 2019.

So after 23 hours and 17 minutes you leave me hanging like that, Ms. Ashley!? I see how you are... good thing the wait for the next book isn't long.

Anywho! This was really good. There were times where I was frustrated, excited, relieved, angry, confused, smug, you name it, I may have felt it during this part 2 of this epic story! A lot was revealed and overcome but there has to be so, so much left to be revealed and overcome!! All eight of the main characters are so very interesting. Each one is unique with extraordinary gifts and personalities. I love the pairing of each of the 4 couples. They are all perfect for each other. (They all just have to figure that out.) There is a treasure of fantastic side characters to love to hate to root for and against. The intimate scenes were much better in this part 2 because they were all about pleasure rather than deception and manipulation. Thank goodness. I hated all but one of the sex scenes in part 1.

Really, I'm just loving this series. I'm so happy about that, you all can't even know. I cannot wait for part 3. Especially with that cliffy there at the end. But this has been so good so far, I'm not even that mad about it.
Happy reading/listening!

P.S The whole Fantasyland crew has now made an appearance! Part 3 is gone be good!! #DaxLahn 😍

HOW DARE THE ENDING END THE WAY IT DID AND WE HAVE TO WAIT OVER A MONTH FOR THE NEXT INSTALLMENT!!!

Okay I've calmed down slightly so let me talk in length now XD

SO! This book was a lot easier to follow and fleshes out the characters and couples so much more, but that should be obvious considering TBoE was quite literal to its name. Any concerns anyone had from the first book's ending should be gone now. I can understand how since there are a lot of characters and this is audio only the characters can be mixed together. So once the paperbacks come out in the summer that issue should go away.

Yes, it was annoying that after the first 5 minutes the voices doubled, one continue the story the other starting from the beginning again. But really it was only during the time Farrah was just beginning to get very depressed and said she doesn't belong anywhere. that's really it. nothing too important was overlapped but that issue won't be in paperback and will hopefully be fixed.

So in this book we leave Ferenze and go to Wodell, so the more Hedonistic themes we see from TBoE is down played to I think 2 scenes. Also the plot THICKENS EVEN FURTHER! There are moment I'm just laughing evilly, walking in circles in anxiety, and cooing and awing at the couples!

Chapter 70 was just so funny XD

And AGAIN that ending!!!! I don't want to wait til January 20!!!

And now the rest is entirely spoilers :D

Now that I think I know what characters are who and what country they represent, the story became so much better. Love the characters and their words to each other. There are times I got teary eyed and times that I smiled huge when certain characters made appearances. Can't wait to see what happens next.

I don't even know where to start 😭😭😭 I am NOT OKAY with that cliffhanger and January CANNOT come fast enough!!! I'm dying to see more of GeSef, Marian, The Beast and quite frankly everyone else! The character building and intrigue is just beautiful along with the amount of depth and thought put into this 4 book series so far is INCREDIBLE to the point where you can't stop listening! I NEED THE DAWN OF THE END NOW 😭😭😭.

Audiobook Review
Overall 4 stars
Performance 5 stars
Story 3 stars

The Plan Commences picks up right were book 1 left off. I wasn't as lost this time around, but there were still so many characters and subplots to keep track of that it was still a lot to process. I was told by a friend about a glossary/character list on Kristen Ashley's website and found it to be extremely helpful. You can find it here.

The pacing of this book was a little slow and felt overly long. I will admit that I was hesitant to start it when I saw that it was 23+ hours long. I did like that more time was spent with each couple in this book and it allowed them to work out their communication issues as well as actually get to know each other. The main couples spend the majority of the book apart from the other couples, but there was a silly "group chat" that made me chuckle. I do feel that there seems to be a lot of sex scenes (MF, MM, MMM, etc) sprinkled throughout the book, but perhaps I'm being a prude.

As in the first book, things really start to pick up towards the end, and the cliffhanger we're left with this time is pretty painful. Silence is still my favorite of the leading ladies and I really felt like she came into her own in this book. I'm still trying to piece together the big bad and all the players, but overall, this has been an enjoyable listen thanks to the extremely talented group of narrators. There were a few instances where redo's must have been done because the accents/sound changed, but it didn't detract from my enjoyment of this audiobook. I'm looking forward to jumping into book 3!

A lot of tediousness with the boring, descriptive telling of plants and trees and lands and gnomes and fairies and unicorns and blood and guts and priests and stuff. And the Beast just seems like a submissive with 12 inches.

After 23 hours of listening and swooning over these characters you leave me with THAT??! How am I supposed to move on from that? The first one ended on a cliffhanger but that was intense!!!

The Plan Commences really launched you into The Rising series. While book 1 was wonderful and I loved getting to know the characters this one really put you into the hearts of the characters. There were times I was so frustrated, annoyed, absolutely giddy and anything else you could imagine, and I should have seen that cliffy coming. With the way the story was laid down it was all so very strategic. Kristen Ashley got you right on the edge of your seat and then let you fall into this false sense of everything is going to be okay just to make you start freaking out all over again.

There isn't much I can say about the actual story because it would give so much away. You must read book 1 before you get to this one or everything will just a big, jumbled mess. I love all the characters, but the next book is going to be the best yet, we get to see some of our favorites from the Fantasyland series back. While they were in this book briefly, the next part I think isn't going to just mention them it is going to have them involved and my heart is so ready for that!

Go for the narration! Trust me, with so many characters as well as so many narrators it won't take any time until you are learning whose voice(s) go with which character and it just added a little extra something to the story for me.

I have to exercise some control since this is a buddy read and I have to wait until December for book 3 but I want nothing more to dive right into and find out what happened at that blasted wedding!!

You know when a book is so good that you find you have to drag it out. Not because it's painful to listen to, but because you never want it to end. The Plan Commences by Kristen Ashley is one of those books. Could I have finished it faster? Yes. But I wanted to prolong it because it was that good. I wanted to savor it. I wanted more of it and since I couldn't have that, I simply had to make it last longer to get me closer to the release of book three.

And now that I've finished it, not only am I desperate for book three, but I had to pick my jaw off the floor to write a review. Kristen Ashley is killing me with these endings. That cliff hanger was epic and heart pounding. It definitely ensured this listener will want to drop everything when the next book is released.

The narrators continued their excellence with this book. There were a lot, and I don't know who they all are, but I loved them. And the multiple narrators were absolutely necessary to do this series justice.

What a cliffhanger😊 Ms. Ashley's second book in the series was wonderful and I enjoyed it very very much. It had me wanting to get to the end but alas a cliffhanger awaited.

The multiple narration was very good and I'm looking forward to the third book in the series. I have never read a lot of lengthy books however the 20+ hours was worth it.

Overall this was a great next in series and recommend the audio as it is free if you have audible escapes.

The second instalment in Kristen Ashley’s The Rising series, this book picks up where the first left off, and we are thrown back into the land of Triton and the lives of the four couples who are prophesised to save the land from the rising of the mysterious Beast (see my review for book #1 for more details).

The first book introduced us to each of the couples, with their stories unfolding all at the same time, and this book continues that, giving us two weddings , three consummations , and sparks of love between all four couples. I’m feeling it all, and I love that KA has been able to give us four distinctly different love stories between four very different couples. Of course I have my favourites (Mars & Silence, Cassius & Elena), but it’s all sexy, sweet and gorgeously romantic and I love the directions that each of these relationships is taking.

The couples go their separate ways a bit in this book, allowing them time to get to know each other in their own ways, and as much as I enjoy them all together as a strong group, I loved seeing them have this private time together. There are funny moments, sweet moments, drama, conflict resolution, and a whole lot of steam, all allowing us to get to know them even better, and providing great progression for their individual stories.

But the developing romance is only part of the action. There are secret plots, betrayals, murder and political shenanigans aplenty as power struggles abound, and a mysterious dark force emerges, spreading evil across the land. It’s all building towards what has the potential to be an epic ending, and I’m really excited to see where the story is going to go from here.

The book is written in multiple POVs. I lost count of how many, with not only our main eight characters having chapters written in their POVs, but a lot of the key side characters as well – including the bad guys, who are honestly blurring together into one big ‘bad guy pot’ for me. I can’t tell them apart or remember who is who, but whatever. We continue to see the weirdly kinky sex life of those side characters, which is odd, but there is some significant character development happening and I’m glad we get to see that. And I’m glad that there are different narrators for each of the characters, as it keep all of the multiple perspectives straight.

Our four couples are joined by the Fantasyland crew, who have come to lend a hand (yes, including Dax Lahn!!), and after that nail-biting ending, I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book.

I loved this one! 4.5 stars!

LOVED
I love the female characters, really the best In all KA history. They are strong, loyal, loving, brave, fierce, funny, smart, flawed in different ways but even with their flaw they better themselves each time you see them. My two favorite males are MARS and TRUE.... Cassius and Armus need to catch up. that's all I'll say HAHA, they have such great potential, but their words when they are hurt go over the line for me personally. I love the world-building, the secondary characters, the political plots, the beast plot and seeing some old but LOVED characters. A lot happens in this book. moved way smoother and faster than the book before.

DISLIKED
The three-way couple!!! lol let me just say Open relationship... I just could not care for them, I wish the main couples took up that space.

OTHER THOUGHTS

The villains are way too many and I get confused by them at times lol I wish someone made a graph. There is the rising, the society and something else, IDK tho. I feel so bad for Elena's older sister, she was a complete B but my god if she finds out what is being done to her, it could actually break her....I feel like KA was way too harsh on Elenas older sister then she was on any other characters *Cassius, tadre, aromas or even on any other characters. TBH is not like she has done any worse then Cassius or armus in her words or actions. It breaks my heart that she is being deceived in the worst way ever! In a way, It's a little of Elena and her mother's fault for allowing her behavior to get that BAD especially with the power she carries. She was not told her behavior was unacceptable, she went on without consequence. I feel like she was deeply insecure because she felt like she did not deserve to be queen but to save her ego she told herself that she is Firstborn and that she will be the queen. No one told her any differently when you love someone you have to be able to tell them the things they are doing are harmful and unacceptable. Hiding the truth will hurt everyone.

The premise of this story, which I think you are going to have to look at as 4 parts to one book instead of looking at each book individually, is four fated couples must unite and fall in love to defeat an ancient evil rising from it's sleep.

This has a much different pacing from Ashley's other books that usually focus on one couple at a time. I will say I'm enjoying the overall story but it is not going to be for everyone. There is a lot of sex, like a lot and it is one of downfalls of this book because it seems like most of the couples got closer and started have sex at about the same time and so it seemed like almost 100 pages in a row dealt with a couple and their sex life. I just think that should have been broken up a little better.

The four couples have read the prophecy wrong and believe they just have to marry and copulate and somehow that is going to save them from the monster rising. However that is not what is needed. They must fall in love if they are going to defeat this beast. It isn't clear yet why that is other than each of the women carries magic of some kind and together it will help them.

There are plots to thwart and kingdoms to take over to consolidate power if they are going to have the force required for the upcoming battle. I have liked the multiple moving parts of the story and even though it has a lot of sex and violence it has been a good storyline overall but like most KA books you have to be willing to go on the journey to get there, because her Romantasy's are wordy.

So, I was stupid enough to start this series at a time when I really don't have the time to binge read it. I just have a day or two between commitments and the inability to control my own impulses. Obviously, I couldn't hold off any longer to get to the second book and now I'm hating myself.

That cliff-hanger was brutal and I have at least four weeks before I can get to the next one. And I really need to know what happened at the end of this one and how it plays out in the next one.

This one kicked off straight after the first and I loved watching them all get to know each other and fall in love. But I also enjoyed watching them develop some really strong friendships with the couples. There is so much intrigue and so many characters with so many different stories and yet I am so invested in each one of them I am having no issue keeping up with them all.

I’m dying to dive into the next one as soon as I can find the time because this series is calling to me so hard and having it tie in so beautifully with the Fantasyland Series and having a few cameos of the couples I love from that book just adds so much more to the experience.

That ending though!!! Gahhhhhhhhh PURE PERFECTION!
Don’t get me wrong, I had some ticky little things crop up that I’ll comment on when I post my full review, but this book was exactly what I needed from the series. It entertained the hell out of me and left me breathless at the end, so it deserves a solid 5 stars.

On to the next. I’ll be back with a full review soon.

PS- the narrators are the bomb!! Loving thissssss!

So while I knew this story would continue with the events from book one i didn’t realize it was being structured as just a part of a larger story so they are actually called part one and part two. But I like it. And again I like the way these stories are being told, the large cast and multiple POV speaks to me.

3* just because Lahn made an appearance.
I’m wondering whether anybody edited or tried to cut this book down at all.

Silly girl.

I finished this on Sunday night and immediately started the next one. I thought for sure I'd come back and write some sort of review.

I didn't and now, well, now it is Tuesday and I am just too far into book 3 to think about book 2 for a review.

So, my review is that I immediately had to start the next one, take that as you will.

At this point I don't know how many POV's we are following .. but there are too many.
I wish we had separate books for each couple and the whole series covering the bigger plot line .. because I felt like the couples growth was cut short and I would have liked more of that as well.
It felt a lil rushed and kind of slow in between there.
Aaand at this point we have more than 4 couples, which is great ! I'm here for all the love.
Oh ! And there are Unicorns and dragon's.
