Lyla Dupree She’s a bubbly, sugary sweet pastry chef. Living her best life in the Big Apple. Luxury apartment. Successful patisserie. Everything is great–better than great. It's absolutely perfect.
Raleigh Jacobs He’s grumbly and growly–and so very out of his element–working on a temporary assignment in NYC. He wants to do his job and get out. Back to the clean air in the mountains near Denver.
Throw them together. Mix things up. Turn up the heat and what you get is, quite simply, alarming.
After all, 425 Madison is the perfect place to fall in love.
Lyla Dupree is sweet and bubbly the perfect opposite to Raleigh Jacobs who is grouchy and stoic. But there is much more to this temporary New York City transplant, so much more, and Lyla is the perfect person to peal back his layers.

Sweet on You is number thirteen in the 425 Madison series, but it works perfectly fine as a standalone novel. Some of the characters that appear in this one you’ve already got to meet in prior books, but it is not enough to take away from this story.
In truth, I had a bit of a debate when deciding upon my rating for this one. It’s a two-point-five-star rating, and I could not decide if I wanted to round up or down. For a while, I thought it would be up. In the end, I went with down as I had expected a bit more from this one.
It was a sweet little story, but I wanted a bit more depth to it. There were plenty of interesting elements introduced throughout, but they weren’t taken as far as I would have liked them to be. I prefer a bit more depth in my books, and this one was great for quick reading but didn’t hit as hard as I like.
All in all, a fun addition to the series but not my favourite.
This is the first book I've read by this author and the second book I've read In the the 425 Madison book series.
I was hooked from the beginning and I absolutely loved it and I will be highly recommending this book when it gets released.
Lyla is a really sweet, very bubbly, fun loving woman who likes to bake in New York city. She gets very rambly with her words when she's over enthusiastic and just really cares. When a sexy bearded man moves in next door she's determined to show him that you can enjoy the city.
Raleigh ends up in the city because of work. All he wants to do is to the job quick as hell so he can get back to his son Matty. They end up bonding straight away over her fire alarm, that is constantly going of in her apartment.
The chemistry between these two characters is explosive, they are so cute I love them. Can these two characters find love together ? ( NO SPOILERS ).
I really like this author writing style and I absolutely loved this book, I loved these characters, only at first I didn't think I'd like Raleigh but he turns out to be so lovely and sweet. This book is full of romance and a great read.
I would like to read more from this author in the future because I enjoyed this book well, and I look forward to seeing what this author writes in the future. I will definitely be reading more in this series too.
Thank you to the author and publishers for allowing me to read an early copy of this book.
ARC provided in exchange for an honest review.
This book is expected to be released 24th February 2020.
Sweet on You is Book 13 in the 425 Madison series and the first book I have read by this author. These stories all stand perfectly fine on their own so no worries for anyone who has not had a chance to read them all.
This story had the potential to be an amazing 5-star story had it been longer and more in-depth but I felt it was missing some context, especially with regard to Raleigh's behavior. While I adored Lyla and even Raleigh's precious son, I cannot say I ever really warmed up to Raleigh. He was a colossal jerk with a chip on his shoulder a mile wide. I had a hard time understanding what exactly Lyla saw in him and why she kept coming back for more.
Even though I wasn't a huge fan of the hero of the story, it was an extremely well-written story with a great heroine, some enjoyable secondary characters and some fun moments. It made a good addition to the series and I cannot wait to read what is in store for us next!
This is a recipe for romance, a tasty treat with everything from chocolate croissants to delectable coffees and a sweet child involved. It is alarming at times - but only because the alarm keeps sounding and heads to hot, not only in the kitchen. Lyla Dupree is a patisserie owner and chef with a sweet personality. Raleigh Jacobs really does need sweetening up! He's grumpy, unhappy at having to work in New York and really not at all sympathetic to Lyla's fire alarm going off all the time, despite everyone trying to stop it. However, her tasty croissants and delicious coffee help get them talking. His young son being dumped on him by his ex-wife has Lyla coming to the rescue. However, with his determination not to stay in New York and her business being there, his taciturn, inconsistent behaviour and her past romance record, will they ever stand a chance to discover their HEA together or will fate force them apart?
My only negative to this story is a very personal foible, so sorry! I'm old school and have never liked swearing for the sake of it, though I don't have any major problems with it when I think it is context (especially paranormal and mobster genres) but not used frequently as part of a sweet, contemporary romance. If this doesn't worry you, if you don't give a f***, forget I've said anything, but it did detract from the story at times as far as I was concerned, with that word being used 89 times in some form or another. (No, I'm not sad enough or worried enough to count them, I let my kindle search for them and that's what it came up with.)
This is a good addition to the series and I enjoyed the storyline. It has well developed characters, includes some from previous books in the series and introduces some lovely new ones. Lyla is kind, caring, considerate and lovely. Raleigh's son is adorable, though his ex-wife certainly doesn't deserve either of them! Raleigh I have very mixed feelings about as he could be the antithesis of Lyla, so self-centred, unkind, inconsiderate of anyone's feelings other than himself and his son . . . I also enjoyed visiting different places in the story and it lives up to the tag that 425 Madison is still the perfect place to fall in love.
I requested and was gifted a copy of this book and this is my honest review after choosing to read it.
The 425 Madison series has been a favorite of mine since it started last year. Having read almost every one of the books in the series, I was extremely happy to get Sweet on You by K.C. Enders, one of my go-to authors. Wonderful writing with fabulous characters and a sweet storyline gives you a book that will be hard to put down. Lyla Dupree is a woman that I would want as a friend. Not just because she can bake up a delicious pastry and owns a coffee shop, but because the woman is full of pluck and life. With a sassy mouth that can run on with never-ending dialogue, she is warm and funny. Raleigh Jacobs is a hot mountain man in New York City. Not exactly a duck out of water situation, but close. He hates everything about the city, misses his son and it shows in his grumpy attitude that has Lyla on a mission to prove that the city has some good things to offer. The chemistry between these two was a little tricky, Raleigh has a difficult past with love and Lyla isn’t quite sure what she wants. But the attraction between them is too strong to resist and their story is one that will grab you and keep you entertained to the end. 5 Stars #2OCCMS
I love this series and the 425 world. Each book is full of characters to love and root for!
Sweet on You is no different...I love Lyla and Raleigh, and almost immediately knew they were gonna be some of my favorites! A hunky mountain man in the big city...annoyed by none other than a fabulous pastry chef neighbor?! Does it get better??
The only reason I couldn't give it the full 5 stars is because I just wanted more. More story, more detail, more blanks filled in. I just didn't feel satisfied I got everything when the book came to an end.
Lyla is a baker with a bubbly personality. A new neighbor moves in next to her apartment so she decides to get to know him. Raleigh is working a temporary job and can't wait to go back to his home in Colorado. The two clash in personalities but the attraction is there between them. A sweet, sexy contemporary romance.
I really loved this latest release by KC Enders. Sweet on you brings you the story of Raleigh and Lyla. 2 mountain transplants trying to see what big New York has to offer. I really loved Lyla’s quirkinesses and loved that Sam is so outspoken. Raleigh is just that type of rugged man you can get wrapped up in. This sweet story has all the right things..a lot of laughter, good amount of snark, a pinch of the drama, 1 super cute kid..mix it all together and you get all the sweet! I loved this book!
Sugar and spice and everything nice is about to meet the Grinch that stole Christmas. Raleigh and Lyla are a sweet serenade. Enders gives predictable an irresistible twist. With a sense of humor and an open heart, Sweet on You, makes for an addictive temptation.
Like all the other books that I’ve read in this series, it was a very sweet and simple story. While the characters did have their own back story issues, they are part of the story but in a way that doesn’t bog it down. I had trouble putting this story down when I picked it up, because it just kept me reading and turning pages to see how it would go. It was pretty much what I expected for this series, but I would say it is one of my favorites so far. I also enjoyed as usual the characters we’ve met in past books showing up and getting to see how they were doing. I look forward to maybe stories for some of the characters in this story in the future as well.
This installment by KC Enders is about sweet and happy pastry chef Lyla who meets a grumpy and moody temporary neighbor named Raleigh. Lyla moved to New York from Denver and opened her own pastry shop. Raleigh has arrived in New York from Denver for a temporary work assignment and makes it known to everyone how miserable he is being in New York City. Somehow, I guess mostly due to Lyla’s persistence, the two slowly form a friendship, which leads to a little bit more. But at the end of the day, all Raleigh wants is to get back to Denver and back to his adorable young son, Matty.
I liked this book for a couple of reasons. First, you can’t help but love Lyla. Granted she appears almost too happy and positive at times, but really, she has some vulnerable moments too that made her very relatable. I did wonder about self-confidence issues at times because she kept going back for more with Raleigh regardless of how rude he was, but whatever. I also loved Raleigh’s son Matty. This little guy is so sweet, smart, curious, and is a ray of sunshine compared to his Dad. This was my first time reading KC Enders but I enjoyed her writing style, finding the novel fast-paced and easy to read while at the same time, having in-depth character development. Lastly, of course, I loved that this story has a happy ending. Like all of the 425 Madison series, it can easily be read as a standalone and a guaranteed HEA – although I certainly recommend the entire series.
What I didn’t like, however, had mostly to do with Raleigh himself. He started out grumpy and mean and for the most part, stayed that way until the end. There were moments here and there where he was friendly (sometimes very friendly with Lyla) but for the majority of the novel, he has a horrible attitude that is just unnecessary. I never really saw any huge transformation in Raleigh, just regrets and then pouting over how he handled things with Lyla. Did he quit being a grumpy ass for no reason? Did he change his horrible attitude permanently or does he still have the same severe mood swings? I was left with questions about him that made it impossible to move away from my initial impression of him.
Besides Raleigh, this was a light and romantic read that I do recommend if you can overlook Raleigh’s issues. I’m glad I discovered KC Enders and will certainly be on the lookout for more from her in the future.
*Thanks to Forever Write PR for providing this review copy in exchange for my honest opinion!
This was a cute, quick read. Raleigh is in NYC temporarily for work, subletting an apartment in 425 Madison for his stay. Next door is Lyla, a pastry chef with a malfunctioning smoke alarm. Tired of watching Raleigh be constantly in a bad mood and either working or in the apartment, Lyla decides to befriend him and get him out of the building. They eventually give in to their mutual attraction, even knowing Raleigh is only there for a short time.
I loved the scenes with Matty. Raleigh as a dad was a whole other layer to his character that we wouldn't have been shown otherwise. Lyla's employee Sam the First was both hilarious and awful - perfect for a book but would drive customers away in real life! I also really liked that there was no big engagement or anything like that at the end of this novella. In some of the others in this series it doesn't bother me, because the characters have know each other for years and have a history. They didn't in this case and that type of ending wouldn't have rang true for me. Especially with Raleigh being a single dad.
Two things did bother me about this book, however. First is that Lyla got to know so much about Raleigh, but at the end, even after their relationship had been going on for weeks, he didn't even know where she was from. And secondly, all throughout the book Lyla kept referring negatively to her relationship with her mother. The brief snippet we got of a phone conversation between the two of them, however, was completely different than we had been led to believe. Which is great for them as characters, but there was zero resolution anywhere to make that believable. Overall, however, the book was enjoyable.
I discovered K C Enders last year so I was super excited to see her join in on the 425 Madison series. This book definitely was a winner for me. I love when food is involved in my fiction. So Lyla is definitely a winner in my book for favorite heroines, especially as her apartment smoke alarm doesn't seem to like her even though her treats are spectacular.
That's how she meets Raleigh. Raleigh is a single dad. I kinda love this trope all of a sudden. He's a grump. Both are bad at relationships but both seem to click together. About the only thing that always seems to accompany a single dad story is a bad mom. Bad mom's in stories make my heart hurt. I really wish there would be a story where the relationship just couldn't work out and mom wasn't a slut, who didn't give a crap about her child.
I'll stop griping about that though. These two had a strange coming together. They both had sparks, but a real relationship wasn't really looking to be in the cards. Raleigh was only in NYC temporarily
It was really when his crazy ex drops his son off at 425 Madison that he really gets close to Lyla. I love the scenes with her and his son.
The big city didn't mix well with Raleigh though and he makes a bad choice.
Here's where the story annoyed me a because a failed relationship sends Lyla back to Colorado, where Raleigh lives btw. I couldn't fathom having two bakeries one in Colorado and another in NYC, also I couldn't figure out how she just opened a new business right away. AKA running away from her problems when she had a great life and a wonderful place to live.
It seemed to happen way too quickly for me, but it did allow for Lyla and Raleigh to find each other again.
This was a sweet slow burn read and a good addition to my favorite series.
Raleigh Jacobs comes to NY with a huge chip on his shoulders. He doesn’t want to be there, doesn’t like where his life has left him, and isn’t going to be happy with anything. As he gets to the apartment, he is sub-leasing the smoke alarm in the apartment next door is going off and it just annoys him more, then he meets Lyla. He is doesn’t want to make friends with anyone, but she just won’t give up. She shows up with treats, dinner, and owns the coffee shop that is on his way to work each morning. Of course, sparks fly between them.
The ties between Lyla and Raleigh are wonderful. Both are from Colorado, both have histories of relationships that didn’t go so well, and both are attracted to each other. I enjoyed seeing how Lyla would break down Raleigh’s tough and grumbly exterior to get to his heart. When Raleigh’s son shows up for a visit the true Raleigh shines through and Lyla can’t help but fall for it. Love isn’t easy but these two show that with trust, hard work, and an open heart it is worth fighting for.
I love the 425 Madison series for so many reasons. The stories feature real people who just happen to live in the same location. Each book is it’s own story and is not contingent on the other books in the series. The books in this series are quick and easy to read and I often find myself reading them in one sitting because I cannot put them down.
I definitely recommend picking up Sweet on You and finding love at 425 Madison.
I loved this next installment in the 425 Madison series and all though each book is a stand alone previous characters do appear. This book is about Raleigh who has to come to New York City to rescue a job that his company is doing. He is subletting an apartment at 425 Madison and his first introduction to Lyla is by shutting off the smoke alarm in her apartment. It seems that whenever Lyla bakes something her smoke alarm decides to go off even if there is no smoke. Raleigh soon learns that Lyla runs a bakery and that she not only makes the best chocolate croissants but her store also serves the best coffee. Raleigh really hates being in NYC and misses his son whom he flies back to see as often as he can. Then one day Raleigh's ex calls wanting to know where he is because she is dropping off their son at 425 Madison and she has to catch a plane to go out of the country. Raleigh enlists Lyla's help and soon the three of them are inseparable until the Matty gets lost and rescued in the building and Raleigh loses it. Raleigh packs up and heads back to Denver without a backward glance. Several months later, Raleigh must return to NYC and tries to find Lyla, but no one will tell him where she went. Read to find out if Raleigh and Lyla reconnect and make a go of a permanent relationship.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
A thoroughly sweet, funny and entertaining read. I was laughing from the first page! This is the first book I've read by K.C. Enders and enjoyed it very much. Her writing is refreshing, descriptive and her characters are well developed.
Lyla and Raleigh are complete opposites. She's a bubbly and chatty sweetheart. He's a gruff and grumpy nontalking hunk. Lyla is a baker who owns a pastry shop and enjoys trying out new recipes in her apartment. Unfortunately, Lyla has a sensitive smoke alarm that goes off at all hours while she is baking. Raleigh is an engineer, temporarily in NYC to work on a subway project. He does not want to be where he is and can't wait to get back home to Colorado and his small son. Raleigh sublets an apartment at 425 Madison Avenue and is a neighbor to Lyla. Their first meeting goes off on the wrong foot, with Lyla's alarm sounding. Thus begins the contentious relationship between our two main characters.
However, Lyla finds out that Raleigh has a secret weakness...her chocolate croissants! The question is, will Lyla be able to soften up Raleigh with her sweet treats that he drops the grumpy facade and asks her out? You'll need to pick up a copy of Sweet on You, to find out!
I received a complementary ARC for an honest review.
For once, my feelings on a book are not complicated or messy…they just are. I love this installment of the 425 Madison series and I thought the title was perfect because this was one sweet read. Lyla was AMAZING. She was the perfect heroine, fun and bubbly and sweet and completely unstoppable. I didn’t love how much her mother’s opinion meant to her but that’s a personal preference and it wasn’t over the top so it was easy to deal with. Lyla was strong and fierce and independent and I rooted for her from the beginning. Raleigh…sorry to say I never quite warmed up to him. It didn’t ruin my enjoyment of the story however because it just felt like talking to a friend who you know won’t take your advice anyway. He was grumpy from the beginning as if it was all of New York’s fault that he ran from his problems to their city. Unfortunately for me, that thing about him never changed. He never grew and I never go to the point where I was okay with him and Lyla. Raleigh didn’t deserve it and he certainly didn’t earn it. But I enjoyed the journey and I smiled at the end because Lyla got exactly what she wanted.
Another great addition to this series. This is the first book I have read from KC and it was a great book. Lyla and Raleigh live in the same building. She is bubbly and outgoing and runs her own bakery. He is there on business and is grumpy, unhappy and out of his element in New York. It also doesn't help that her fire alarm keeps going off all the time , despite everyone trying to stop it. But when he gets a taste of her yummy croissants and delicious coffee they get to talking. Things suddenly change when his young son is dropped off with him unexpected by his ex-wife. Lyla steps up to help him. But with his determination not to stay in New York will this between them go anywhere? Will these two get a happy ever after? Enjoyable storyline with two characters that are opposites but work well amazing together and have great chemistry. I enjoyed the authors writing style and absolutely loved this book. It is full of romance and enjoyable from beginning to end. I would love to read more from this author after this one.
Raleigh comes to New York from Denver to do a job, where he meets Lyla - a local baker who runs her own shop; the attraction is instantaneous - but he fights it, as he's been there. Raleigh has the ex-wife from hell, but the apple of his eye, is his son, Matty.
Through a series of saves from the 'smoke detector', Lyla melts through the ice around Raleigh's heart and they have a series of dates - there is a strong attraction and possessiveness.
Matty comes to New York, and the three of them have a wonderful times showing Matty the fun stuff you can do in the city - they even rent a car and go the mountains. A scare shakes Raleigh and he immediately takes Matty and leaves his job and goes back to Denver, leaving a heartbroken Lyla to pick up the pieces of her life, again.
Raleigh realizes what he's missing, Lyla!!! He hops on a plane and goes back to NYC, but she has left, and no-one will tell him where's she is now living.
I loved this book but at the beginning I was quite annoyed with Raleigh!! I really disliked him at the beginning and I was so sure I wouldn’t enjoy the rest. But as I got to know him and why he was a grumpy grouch I started to accept him.
Lyla was the rockstar of this book! She is quirky and rambles. The way I picture her in my head is she’s this cute short blonde with waves in her hair and chocolate on her face! She really makes this book what it truly is and that’s swoon worthy! She makes you swoon more than Raleigh does.
I am 100% a big fan of this series and 425 Madison Ave!! I can’t get enough of these people and while this story has bumps in the road, they still lead to a happy one. No matter the how or why, they get to a place in life that just makes you feel it in your soul. Once I started this sorry I couldn’t put it down!! Just trying to figure out Raleigh was enough of an annoyance to keep me interested in his grumpy self!
I enjoyed this new entry in this wonderful series. I thought the story was fun and it offered a great blend of emotional turmoil, drama, humor, heat and heart. I really liked Lyla. As someone else that loves to bake, has her own fire alarm issues and has more than a few regrets and mistakes that haunt me; I could really relate to, feel for and connect with her very easily. That leads me to my one issue with this book...Raleigh. I wanted to like him. I tried so hard to like him. However, aside from a small glimmer here or there I didn't and I couldn't. As someone who can be moody, resistant to change and has their own trust issues, I felt I should be able to use that to forge a bond with him but in the end he just seemed like a grade A, insensitive jerk. Still, overall I felt that this was a very good read and I will definitely be checking back into 425 Madison just as soon as I can. This is my sincere review that I am posting of my own accord.
I know you have to be tired of my bragging on the greatness of this series but I only give credit where it's due and the 425 Madison novels are tired with another series for me.
This beautiful work of art brings us Raleigh and Lyla. Raleigh was there for work and Lyla ....well without spoilers say came for the wrong reason but stayed for great reasons.
Raleigh was going through some personal issues that caused him to grab on this out of state project his company was responsible for. Whereas Lyla was finding the city a bit lonely despite having her best friend as a roommate because of their conflicting schedules. Therefore leaving the door to step in and giving them both what they needed, things they wanted, and things they did not know they wanted nor need.
Remember this book is part of a marvelous series but each both are standalone but read one and you will run to read the others in any order.
Layla owns her own bakery and has one small little problem with her apartment which is the fire alarm which chooses to go off at will. She is friendly, sweet, sassy and repays the others in the building with sweets, so the staff and tenants just accept it or at least everyone does except for her neighbor Raleigh who is not impressed.
Raleigh is recently divorced and has no interest in being in NY or leaving his son, so this temporary work assignment is not what he wants, and he is taking it out on those around them. When he unexpectedly finds himself looking after his son Layla steps in and they become close even though they know their relationship has an expiry date.
I really enjoyed the relationship not only between Layla and Raleigh but the relationship that they had with his son as well.
I’ve pretty much kept up with 425 Madison from the beginning, and I love every book and gettin to know more authors. But KC Enders is not a new author and I loved her previous work so I was really excited to know she was part of this series. She never disappoints and this was a sweet book. Since I just finished the main thing I want to point out is that she used a pit bull puppy, I mean, the cutest thing ever. Thank you for showing the pits love! Lyla is super sweet with a bubbly personality who loves to bake, and not your typical cakes, extremely hard pastries. What’s not to love about her? Raleigh, poor country mountain man in the city figures out that Lyla isn’t just the neighbor with the annoying alarm.
KC Enders latest release is set in the universe of 425 Madison Avenue, a collection of stories tied together by an apartment tower in New York City. I received an ARC of the story, in exchange for my comments and a review. I have to say that I feel a bit conflicted about how to approach this - I am a fan of Karin's work and I consider her a friend. However, the quality of the editing in the ARC was...disappointing.
The story is very appropriately named; it's a short, sweet story that just tugs at the emotions and makes you smile. The heroine is an enthusiastic, talented baker who has been burned in the past. The hero is a single dad dealing with a selfish ex and his own discomfort in a big city. Living on the same floor of 425 Madison Avenue, they are continually thrown together by a temperamental smoke alarm.
Normally, I'd happily give this story three and half or four stars. Unfortunately, the editing in the ARC is subpar; there are punctuation problems, homophone errors, etc. These are all a normal part of the writing process, but should be dealt with in the edits. As a friend, I sent her some notes about the worst of the mistakes that I hope was helpful. The characters and the plot deserve a better presentation than the publishing company allowed to go through to the ARC. However, I'm hopeful that the final release will be better and allow the charm of the story to shine through, so with fingers crossed, I'm giving it four stars.
Raleigh isnt happy about having to come to NYC to take care of business leaving behind his son and the fresh air of Denver. Subletting an apartment for a couple months that he’ll be there his introduction to his place is a fire alarm blaring from the apartment next door. Lyla a pastry chef who loves to bake at home but has a sensitive fire alarm, who also loves to ramble doesn’t make the best impression to her grumpy neighbor. Watching these two dance around each other was sometimes frustrating and sometimes a little hot, he wants to give but can he, she’s deciding where to open her next pastry shop. Rooting for these two from the beginning to the very last page, oh there’s a cute boy in there too!
More than anything, this story was FUN! I love a romance that doesn't take itself too seriously and this one had just enough angst to move the plot along but it had me smiling (or laughing out loud) through most of it. "Sweet on You" hosts a great cast of characters, including a bubbly, pastry chef and a sweet but grumpy single dad who would rather be anywhere but New York City. One of my yardsticks of a good writer is how they write children (because they are so hard to get right). K.C. Enders does a great job in writing the (too few, IMHO) scenes with grumpy-dad's sweet son and makes him a believable, endearing child. My only criticism of this book is that the descriptions of all the amazing pastries left me with constant cravings for sweets!
Sweet is part of the title, and Sweet on You was a sweet addition to 425 Madison collection by the talented KC Enders. Lyla Dupree has a very sunny disposition which brings light to others around her, because honestly, I would even have a hard time staying in a bad mood around her. Raleigh is the biggest growly bear grump who never seems happy, and since he doesn't want to be in NY at all, that's not helping his mood for real. Despite his grumpiness, he also is drawn to Lyla, and they have potent chemistry, but her business is in NY while he isn't staying any longer than he has to. Once they start catching feelings, can they figure out a solution for a chance at HEA?! You'll have to hit that one click button to find out! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
K.C. Enders Sweet on You is the best book I have read in the 425 Madison series. While a number of books come before it, you can 100% read it as a standalone.
Raleigh is in New York City for an extended work project. He's not a fan of the city or being away from his son. He and his neighbor Lyla get off to a rocky start, but soon an attraction blossoms between them.
I really enjoyed this story. I am already a fan of K.C. Enders and it was fun to see a story set outside her Beekman Hills series. Honestly, my only real issue with the book is that I wish it had been longer. I think it would have been nice to see Raleigh and Lyla spending more time together to make the conflict more impactful.
Thank you to the author for providing an ARC for an honest review.
