They say I’m a promising witch, but my magic is a disaster…
I wish I could keep my sorcery skills from running wild. Braeden and I are on a mission to take down a pack of demons, when one of my spells misfires and destroys the town’s defense against the very monsters we were sent to protect them from.
That’s when the fed-up guild banishes me to the Enchanted Academy. One last chance to salvage what’s left of my career as a witch by honing my craft.
The coursework is challenging, but I can’t help but be distracted by a brainy mage and a mysterious shifter. Not to mention the bad boy who’s set his sights on me, or the fact that my relationship with my best friend is heating up.
But beyond the gated grounds, a power-hungry wizard is drawing near, intent on stealing magic. As the passion between me and my men grows, so do my powers.
Soon my friends and I will be the enemy’s prime target, and the five of us will have to unite to defeat the rising evil.
A Class of Conjuring is the captivating first book in the Enchanted Academy paranormal romance reverse harem series. Fans of Avery Song and Eva Chase will love Evie Wilde’s engaging tale.
Evie Wilde is the pen name for two authors who love all things paranormal. After spending hours discussing their favorite magical romances, they decided to write some together.
One attends law school, while the other is a work-at-home mom with a houseful of kids, but they both love sexy men with a gift for magic and making their mate’s happiness their number one priority.
I had a really hard time finish this book, and even harder trying to find a fitting rating. I rarely give worse rating than 3 stars, preferring to contact the author instead, but... but. I don't even know where to start. After a promising introduction where we were presented Cassandra, the witch with no control over her magic and knack for destruction, and her best friend Braeden whom she always wanted to be more than a friend, I got curious and thought I'd like the book. Yes, there are many academy books these days and it could sound like a cliche, but if the book is well written I don't mind at all. Here, I was really disappointed. The writing style was not my cup of tea, sloppy, jumpy, confusing at times, with no gradual development, mostly told instead of shown what was happening and hence losing my attention. Same with the characters, I could not get a grasp on their personalities, they were inconsistent, immature (could be excused for teenagers though), with no depth or real growth, I kept losing a picture of them in my head, and couldn't get a connection with them (however, we got told plenty about the connection between the characters..well). For this book being a reverse harem, there was little relationship building, exception is Braeden with whom she already had a long history of friendship and it's acceptable. Otherwise jumping from "I barely know them and don't know if they like me etc" to intimate scenes - that's not a character I can like or respect. And that constantly reminded connection - just an example here: they come to the academy at the beginning of winter semester, they all meet, the connection instantly appears, everyone seems to be interested in Cassandra and she in them, okay.. and then we get a scene between Ruby and Cassandra talking about the guys, revealing Cass basically does not know anything about them and is curious what are they like, which is completely fine, but this happens when they leave for winter break. What?! What were they doing those months? No time to talk? Plenty of time to get to know each other imo.. I don't trust this connection after such scenes. And since I already started with the issues, there were more - the academy is supposed to be challenging, brutal even, but aside from a few moments, we did not see any real challenges related to academy; in the end, we did not see much from the classes, most of the time it was focused on the RH part. Therefore there was no development for Cass, no failure or progress, which is contradictory to her screw-ups whenever she uses magic. Did she not use magic in the class at all? And maybe one more point worth mentioning, the fact about Edius being behind the power thievery was first served as if it was a secret, as if only a few people knew who was responsible, and then suddenly it was a common knowledge, headmaster freely discussed the topic in the class in front of other students (who were rarely mentioned btw, it was as if only those six attended the classes).. There was more, plot holes, discrepancies, issues, but it would be an extremely long review if I continued so I'd rather stop here :)) I think the message is clear anyway.
This was my first book by this author and I was thoroughly impressed! I listened to the audio and the narrator was really great. Cassandra and her boys kept me on my toes. I will definitely be listening to the next book.
This book was provided to me by Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
I really thought I was going to like this book. I even requested book two already on Netgalley as well because I was soooo sure I'd like it. I disliked it so much that I had to DNF it 😭
Writing style: This was my biggest problem with the book. The writing just didn't make sense at all. It was so very sloppy. It's like the author just wrote her first draft and never looked back on it.
Characters: I kept forgetting who was who and what they looked like. They seemed to have proper personalities when they were first introduced but then they acted completely differently later in the book. I absolutely hate it when characters aren't written consistently.
Story: We have our typical chosen one at a magical school trope, but I generally love books about witches so my opinion on the chosen one trope shouldn't have mattered. With all my opinions on this book, I also got annoyed with the badly written chosen one trope and I just couldn't get past the cliché.
Reverse harem: This book is supposed to be a reversed harem romance... 1) there's no romance to be found anywhere, only unanswered lust. 2) she's not necessarily interested in all the dudes, just the one...
I think it's very clear I did not like this book. I definitely won't be reading book 2. A DNFed book always gets one star from me and this time is no different.
It was promising, the story, until she got to the magic school. Than she met the other guys. I was still giving it a chance until one of the characters explained how he was cornered by an older woman and he realized she wasn't going to take no for an answer. But that's okay cause she taught him how to pleasure a woman. Some things need to be taught, it said. If this happened to a woman we would call it rape. It's still rape when it's a man. Maybe the character realizes later and maybe the heroine is there for him... But the way it's written at this point its almost like it's okay what happened because you I know he got knowledge out of it. As a survivor of sexual abuse this just left a bad taste in my mouth and I had to stop reading. So be warned about this. Maybe a reassuring clue in the text or the synopsis next time of this is addressed or what have you.
Where to start with this one. The general idea behind it wasn't bad, but the execution fell short. I suspect that some proper editing might have made a big difference. There were so many errors and clumsy sentences that it did make this hard to read. It's a shame, as I said, I think that I would have quite enjoyed this if the writing had been better. There were a couple of other problems with the book. It seemed at points as though some of the plot had been missed out. I didn't really understand why they all felt this 'connection' that they kept going on about. It seemed to come from nowhere and hadn't really got anything to back it up. I received a complimentary copy of this book through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
MAGICAL MACHINATIONS AND MISCHIEF!!! Bustamove! Evie blew me away with this incredible, refreshing spin, uniquely her own, playing out with all the chaos and mayhem, thrusting this baby into a tizzy with stunning results, melding it together piece by piece seamlessly. Bumbling through the trials and tribulations witnessing the struggles and hardships around every sharp corner and sleek line, blasting this bad boy to life brilliantly. Add drama, tension, turmoil, danger, mounting suspense and unexpected situations along with a boatload of shenanigans while dodging dark menacing deeds, makes for one mind-blowing adventure. The attraction and chemistry sizzles as each layer is peeled back exposing a deep connection and amplifying affections, binding them to one another beautifully. The characters are genuine and realistic with depth and qualities that blend into amazing personalities. The scenes are so vividly detailed it gives the illusion you were right there with them instead of on the sidelines. Remarkable job Evie, thanks for sharing this bad boy with us.
This is one of those books that I have a really hard time rating. Because I didn't like most of it, but it did end up having an interesting conclusion.
I didn't feel any of the characters were fleshed out that well, but its a reverse harem so Cassandra is pretty bland and all the love interests are a 'choose your flavor' of stock characters. (Dash is a bad boy, Braedon the boy next door, Kyler mysterious silent type, Oliver intellectual/nerdy). There isn't a lot of romantic build up, and you're constantly told that they all have a cOnNeCtIoN.
I think ill try the next in the series, but if it drags in the beginning as much as this one does I won't have much of a reason to continue. The action is fun, but there isn't enough world building or character development for the rest of the book
We have a little suspense and adventure with magic. Cassandra can't seem to control her magic and Braeden is always having her back. When the Guild decides to kick her out and send her to the academy, she does not know what to do. She meets three different guys that she is attracted to. (Dash, Kyler, and Oliver) All four of her guys are different and they have all swore their alliance to her. Will she be able to handle four guys? Will they accept each other? What will everyone think? Can she get control of her magic? Who are these people trying to get to her? Can she stop them in time to save everyone? Can the guys help and save her? Will the academy kick her out if her magic don't get under control? What does Edius really want from her?
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Witch Cassandra (FMC) has no control over her powers. Making it both unstable and destructive with catastrophic consequences that lead her and her friend Braeden to get enrolled at The Enchanted Academy. As a last chance for her. Which puts her on the radar of Dash, Kyler and Oliver. Follow students that are all vying for her attention and cant seem to stay away from her. A brilliant action-packed, fast-paced, sexy and funny read. It certainly kept me glued to it all the way through. Cant wait for book 2
I absolutely loved the world building in this book. It seems to be a world in the not too distant future after some kind of war. There are pop culture references that are recognizable, but a lack of current technology and locations. The witchcraft in this book seems to be complex and genetic. The book ended on a cliffhanger, so I do plan to continue the series.
The first book in this series and it was amazingly so freaking good. These characters and the entire story/plot were great and couldn't get enough of them. So ready for the next book.
Cassandra cannot help but keep making misfiring spells and that causes her to bring down the town's defence. She has to go to the academy to be able to get her spelling skills repaired. It is a good read if you are interested in magic, spells, wizardry, etc. If you enjoy that then it is a highly recommended book. Cherry is an excellent writer and this is another one that she has a total success I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Initially, the premise of a young, down-on-her-luck witch with a penchant for destruction intrigued me. I love strong female characters and that’s exactly what I expected Cassandra to be. Likewise, I also enjoy a good slow-burn romance, and with four love interests, I thought for sure I was in for an epic tale of love and magic. Ultimately, I was left pretty disappointed. It was a struggle to make it all the way through A Class of Conjuring. I struggled with a lot of things – the spelling/grammar errors (which sometimes included the completely wrong word, i.e., ‘invested’ instead of ‘infested,’ ‘distant’ instead of ‘distance,’ etc.) and the odd timing of things were amongst my biggest issues with the book. It often felt like we missed out on whole chunks of the book because the timeline jumped from Cassandra’s first day at the academy to a month in and flowed progressively faster.
This book was something I personally classify as “tell not show,” meaning we were told a lot of things, such as ‘Cassandra was consoled’ rather than “shown” her being consoled via dialog and a comprehensive scene. Things were briefly mentioned and then swiftly dismissed. It contributed to the overall rushed feeling of the book and left me confused about the depth of the characters’ reactions and personalities.
I also didn’t completely buy into the “chosen one” idea. It felt like Cassandra never really proved that she had this extraordinary magic that everyone thought she had and her complete lack of sympathy when it came to her path of destruction frustrated me. It seemed to inspire a pity party more than anything – calling herself “witch of destruction” several times throughout the course of the book. Several times the characters brushed off (or even laughed about) Cassandra’s “mishaps” – all of which ended in massive property damage, huge financial losses, and, in some cases, deaths.
Another thing I didn’t buy into was Cassandra’s intimate relationships with the four guys in her life – Braeden, Oliver, Dash, and Kyler. There was no chemistry between any of them and Cassandra and, overall, it felt like the book was reaching too hard for the sexy RH romance label. All the talk of a “connection” between the five of them was a little redundant, especially because it was never expanded on – only a few brief mentions of being able to feel one another. Also redundant was the use of the word ‘cackle’ or ‘cackling’ when it came to a specific character. Seeing it repeatedly was maddening, so I just had to mention it.
Ultimately, I felt like A Class of Conjuring had a lot of potential and still might with some rewrites and a more thorough editing job.
I was given a copy of this book through netgalley and I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. • I was pretty excited to read this book. The plot had so much potential. A girl with uncontrollable magic going to a school to learn control only to find out she is the chosen one meant to stop the big bad. While at the school she meets the 4 men who are to be her guardians and they train to defeat the enemy. But the story just fell flat for me. The writing felt rushed and often felt like pages were missing. The events in the story always felt sudden and out of place. I also really wanted the MC to embrace her power and be confident and strong but again and again she was useless and expected the men to do everything for her. Again, the idea behind the story had great potential to be amazing and I really wanted to love the story but I just could not get into it.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
I can't rate this book. I barely read it, but it was bad. It was shockingly bad. The writing is incredibly amateurish and juvenile, but then there is this weird hard left into lustiness that is like.. totally inappropriate at the time? Not like dirty, but just the entire tone changes. It's just bad.
They mix 3 ingredients together, and then suddenly the most important moment of life passes between their eyes, and they know that their relationship is forever changed.
Immediately next: "I glanced at the other three men who were our age, who I was beginning to be drawn to." Wat?
This book seems to be poorly aimed at a YA audience, but teenagers are smarter than this. It's insulting. It's also hard for me to take things seriously with names like Braedon and Kyler.
Cassandra is dedicated to being the best witch she can possibly be. Sadly, none of the spells ever seem to go her way. She manages to cause as much chaos as she does salvation. She's been thrown out of multiple cities because of it. If that's not bad enough, her guild has threatened to kick her out and take her powers. The only way they will give her a second chance is if she agrees to go to the Enchanted Academy and graduate. She's more than willing to do so and is just settling into her classes when a power-hungry wizard takes to attacking her and her new friends. I really enjoyed this book very much. It was witty. It was fast-paced. There were many things going on that I was very impressed with. I really liked Cassandra. I mean she just tried so hard. Everybody was constantly downing her over all her mistakes. That made it really easy to empathize with her. I also love how easily adaptable she is with everything. She has this amazing ability to just kind of run with things. Her friend Ruby seems to help her with that as much as possible. She also has quite the group of people willing to protect her no matter what. I guess that's kind of obvious. She is the chosen one. While this was a very fast-paced and enjoyable read, there were some issues I had with the book. There were multiple scenes that I wish had been drawn out just a little more. I could understand their place in the story, but I couldn't understand why they were so rushed over. Also, from what I understand, all of the characters were legal adults. They weren't quite twenty yet, but they were old enough to make their own decisions. So I would assume that the academy is a magical college of sorts. Which is awesome and imaginative. However, it feels like a high school and the characters act like teenagers with teen angst in many parts of the book. This book was narrated by Victoria Mei. I really enjoyed listening to her reading this. The only criticism I really have of her that I can think of off the top of my head is that I wish she'd made the boys' voices just a bit more distinctive from each other. Sometimes I had a bit of trouble telling which of them was speaking or which of their points of view I was hearing. Her reading of Cassandra was great. She brought Cassandra to life in my opinion. I'd definitely listen to other books written by her. While there were some things about this book that I didn't really care for, I really enjoyed the story overall. I thought it was very imaginative and progressive. I also felt like it added some comic relief through the book that can sometimes get left out of books like this. I look forward to reading the rest of the series if for nothing else than to see what happens to Cassandra and her boys. It should be a very interesting read. An enjoyable one as well. Especially if all of the characters have a bit of a personality change.
I liked the setting, but Goddamn does it have room for improvement in all aspects.
For someone with as difficult a life as Cass has had, 90% of her thought process seems to revolve around sex. Which I guess is par for the course with teenagers, but when you have so much going on around you, most of which include threats against your life and your loved ones’, you’d think there would be a few more thoughts to spare for those. But even when two of her guys are kidnapped, the main thing she misses about them is sex.
The book’s preoccupation with it feels tacky and juvenile. Her relationship with Ruby also revolves mainly around sex-talk, complete with Cass regularly listening to her use a vibrator while she’s having phone-sex. All this while Cass is such a virgin she has never even masturbated. It’s all a bit much when you have an enemy regularly attacking the school and stealing people’s magic, as well as a prophecy hanging over your head that requires you to get your shit together – and smaller issues that Cass does not ever really spare a thought about, including the fact that her lack of control over her own magic has resulted in multiple human deaths and the devastation of entire cities.
I would care less about the endless sex talk if Cass spared some time to feel a bit of guilt over all the tragic death and destruction she has had active part in. The book does try to soften it all up implying later that the Big Bad Ones probably had a hand in those – but even before that came up, she seemed more interested in her potions and Braeden’s refusal to comment on her tits than the deaths of innocents. It rubbed me the wrong way. Kinda like Dash did to her, I guess, since he took her virginity but didn’t even give her an orgasm – which I guess is realistic, but still lame, especially considering how insufferable he is for most of the book.
The narrator was also just… fine. She has this tone that’s borderline vapid at times, that I don’t really care for. But most of all, she doesn’t really seem to properly emote. I dunno if it’s the writing or her lack of emotion that made action scenes jarring, I just know there were times I had to stop and rewind because they would go from a calm conversation to running for their lives from magic attacks without any change in tone.
Still, I did finish the book and will be jumping into the second one. With low expectations but I will.
Note: I received this book from the author and I voluntarily give this review, it is my honest opinion.
A Class of Conjuring is the first book in the Enchanted Academy series. The book follows Cassandra Clarke a witch that can get the title worst witch. In this world people know about magic, there are magical creatures everywhere, and when a city/town/village has a supernatural problem they call upon witch, warlocks, and wizards to help out. Cass is part of a guild meant to help humans with their supernatural problems but Cass is a walking disaster. With her best friend Braedon, she tries to help but her spells create more problems than the town started with and has earned her the title disaster witch. After one incident too many she is sent to the Academy to either improve or fail, it's a sink or swim situation and Cass is about to meet a whole new set of problems.
Beyond a shadow of a doubt, Cass is a screw-up, but what I like about her is that she tries her hardest to improve, to help people and when others say negative things about her she tries to ignore it and still soldier on all the while staying positive and continuing being a nice person. Which is really amazing considering her difficult childhood and her current pressures.
One of the things I love in a reverse harem is when the story is told from multiple perspectives. There are four guys and each has a couple of chapters, I loved hearing from them, seeing from their perspective. They guys kinda started off on a bad foot with me, and one kinda stayed there for a while but none of them really stood out to me, no favorites, each was okay and the group seems to fit together.
Okay so here is the thing, I had problems with this book. There were some plot-holes in the storyline, some of the character's actions didn't make sense and some of the dialogue was a little off, characters reiterating the same things or things being said that didn't need to be. That being said overall I liked the story, oddly enough the book held my interest. I was totally immersed in the story and I was interested in what happened to the characters. A Class of Conjuring was a decent start to the series and with a little more editing the story could be really good. So while the story wasn't perfect, it was good and I would be interested in finding out what happens next.
Cassandra Clarke is a witch and along with her lifelong best friend Braeden are members of a guild sent to take care of problems with monsters etc. BUT while she is sent in to take care of things, she can't control her magic and the last straw was destroying most of the town Wayfair while she and Braeden had to rid the town of the Sarchi Monsters. While destroying the monsters, Cassandra also destroyed half the city. Thank goodness Braeden was there to have her back! Well for the Guild it was the last stray and Guildmaster Ren one of the Main Guild members said she has to go to the Enchanted Academy to learn how to control her magic, or lose it completely. She reluctantly agrees and Braeden says he will go with her. When she gets to the school, she is sent into see Aurelius one of the teaching wizards at the school who proceeds to tell her she is the "chosen" one meant to get rid of Edius who wants to take over the world. This is confusing, how do we justify Cassandra, who can't control her magic as the "chosen" one, there has to be more of a story to that for explanation. And how is it that she is a magnet for 3 other school students with strong magic, Dash, Oliver, Kyler who are drawn to protect her and of course we add Braeden to that group who has always protected her. Then we have her friend and confidant, Ruby. When bad things start happening, Cassandra gets her stubborn up and decides they have to stop the problems. We are also given a lotof descriptive lust, sex and language which I could do without. The chapters are divided between the group of the four boys and Cassandra as to the narrations. With a little more clearing up, maybe in the second book to fill in the holes, it wouldn't fee so disjointed at times. Regardless, I really did like the premise and beginning of this new series. I received and ARC of this book but the opinoins expressed here are strictly my own.
Please note: I received a digital ARC of this book (via NetGalley) from its publisher in exchange for an honest and fair review.
A Class of Conjuring by Evie Wilde is the first book in the Enchanted Academy Series. This was s super fun and fast read. What originally pulled me in was the cover art. The cover is eye catching and immediately lets me know i'm going to be immersed in a world of magic with a female protagonist. The combination of the bright purple and bright blue color scheme is both striking and intriguing. In short, Magically Delicious!
We follow the story of disaster prone witch, Cassandra Clarke who has no control over her powers or spell casting. One catastrophic event after another lead to her getting enrolled in the The Enchanted Academy as a last resort to gain some kind of control over her powers. Cassandra enrolls with super hot bestie Braedon. Of course once at the academy three more hot males all vie for Cassandra's affections and friendship. This leads to a reverse harem situation that to be honest felt a bit forced. I would have also like more details on why certain things happened. Despite that this book was still an action-packed, fast-paced, sexy and funny read. It kept me flipping pages all the way through.
A Class of Conjuring has plenty of action, magic, mayhem, lust, and of course an evil enemy who wants to take over the world. Evie Wilde has built a fun magical system that makes this world feel unique from other series. I recommend this book for anyone interested in magic, action, reverse harems, plot twists, and a plain old good time! Published by Wisteria Lane Press, A Class of Conjuring is available for purchase from all major booksellers. I give A Class of Conjuring 3 1/2 out of 5 gems. I'm looking forward to reading the next installment in this witchy series.

But the several times they do when Edius sends a powerful witch against them, they lose their powers, and students and faculty at the academy are hurt. How can they defeat Edius if they can’t even defeat his minion? I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review
FMC is a terrible witch. She destroys villages and ruins cities. Everyone hates her. Yet somehow she has no clue exactly how awful of a witch she is, though she knows her reputation. Anyways, she is sent away to a school for magic users. She meets some boys. There is a prophecy. She’s the “chosen one”. Too bad she sucks at magic.
This story feels like it was written by a teenager. It feels YA, with a little bit of cock and some very quick, vanilla, virgin sex. She touches a penis for the first time and she feels so young it’s 100% disturbing. The steam is practically fade-to-black.
The characters feel like caricatures of high school students. There is absolutely nothing sexy or compelling or interesting about any of the guys in the “harem”. Even my 12 year old son feels more mature than these boys. Creepy. It’s so dang creepy.
Something about the way this book was written really put me off. I struggled to read 20% of this story. I felt like a perv whenever the characters started getting randy because they all feel soooo young. 🤢
Cassandra Clarke is a powerful witch, but her spells keep going wrong. In order to keep from getting kicked out of the local guild she works for, she agrees to attend Enchanted Academy to learn to control her powers. She will meet, and quickly fall for Dash, a wizard, Kyler a shifter, and Oliver a highly intelligent technology wizard. Cassandra, her best friend Braeden, Dash, Kyler, and Oliver will find themselves fighting an evil wizard, and his recruit, who are stealing the magical powers from their fellow students and the instructors at the Academy.
Well written, unique, and sexy characters determined to save their friends, and explore the connection they have to one another which makes them even more powerful. Exciting action, magic, and an evil enemy who wants to steal magic, and possibly take over the world. Great world building, and a plot with fascinating twists. I think this is a must read. I look forward to the next book in this series. Fantastic!
I am voluntarily leaving an honest and non-incentivized review of this ARC.
Cassandra Clarke, although a powerful witch, cannot keep her spells under control. Chasing a demon, she casts a spell that goes wrong and takes down the town’s protective system. Her guild has had enough and gives her a final chance to get it under control by sending her to the Enchanted Academy, along with her best friend, Braeden.
Cassandra meets some classmates -- Dash, Kyler, and Oliver – who are attracted to her. They join Cassandra and Braeden in a fight against an evil wizard who is trying to steal magical powers from other students and instructors. Can they defeat the evil as their own powers get stronger? Or has she put the guys she cares about in danger that could destroy them?
This is a fast paced book that will keep the reader interested from start to finish. It is well written and flows easily. The characters are likable which draws the reader deeper into their story. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more from this author!
As Cassandra’s magic goes wild again and she destroys the towns defences letting in more of the demons she was trying to kill she is sent by her guild to Enchanted Academy. On entering the academy she realises her infamy precedes her and most students are very wary or frightened of her. She slowly makes friends with 4 guys who have been tasked to protect her as they are told she will be the one to save the academy. Loved Cassandra’s attitude and the fact she keep her head up and tries not to let the other students get to her the interaction between her and the guys set to protect her starts off slowly but most admit to each other they have feelings for her. All that is except Dash who denies his feelings and his animosity towards her really upsets her but when he admits his feelings the chemistry between them heats up. As usual Victoria’s narration is perfect and when I have some credits I will be buying books 2&3.
Cassandra Clarke's magic seems to be out of control, so she is sent by the guild to the Enchanted Academy to improve her skills. With her long time friend Braedon, she is excited to be able to improve her control. When she meets Oliver, Dash and Kyler, she feels a strong connection to them as well. There appears to be a prophecy that Cassandra is the one, with her mates, who will defeat the mage who is stealing other people's powers. When Challis steals her powers, Cassandra feels lost - and when the witch captures Dash and Braedon, will Cassandra be able to beat her and save her mates? Will she win the ultimate battle? Loved this book, and cant wait for more

This book is the first in the "Enchanted Academy" series. Having book four to read with the booksprout site, I had to read the first three before.
It features Cassandra, who is said to be a promising witch, but magic is a disaster.
She's teamed up with Braeden to hunt down a pack of demons. Except one of Cassandra's spells hurts herself, and it destroys the city's protection spells. The guild banishes her from the enchanted academy, with one last chance to save her witch career. Which is going to be difficult, because she's going to meet a shape-shifter mage.
A book read in one go, so much so that I immediately hooked on the story, so captivating, addictive and full of suspense and twists with endearing characters.
Brand new series about a bungling witch whose destiny is to defeat the powerful wizard and his cronies who are terrorising the magic community. After the umpteenth misadventure, Cassandra is forced to attend the Enchanted Academy where she will learn how to control her powers. Braeden, her bff follows her on her journey . He 's there to protect her as he has done for the last ten years. Only this time he is not alone. Three young wizards also have a connection with Cassandra. All five of them will have to work together in more ways than one!! And so the adventure begins...
