Penny got the job in the magazine at Newyork she is planning with the owner to move the headquarters to Haraget( i hope I get the name right it's the town the Sevnssons live in) she wants it to be a surprise for Garret ,all three couple and the Svenssons are hyped up about the first Thanksgiving ever and all hands are on deck. Garret feels Penny is drifting away from him ,till he knows the real deal about her secrecy.it was a nice read.

Well, I might be mostly out of the woods with this awful cold business, but I’m still not in tip-top shape and I didn’t want to try reading anything too complicated, so I’ll be reading these Alina Jacobs shorts for a bit longer. Since I just read Hazel and Archer’s, I went with the next in line which was Garrett and Penny. When I initially read their book, I actually didn’t read it all at once, I stopped to take a break because I’m not the biggest fan of the journalist trope and I needed a bit of time to get over that, but once I did, that made me love Garrett and Penny even more than I already had. So I was so looking forward to jumping into In Her Pumpkin Pie and I had such a good time reading it! It was fun and cute, it made me laugh and smile, and gave me the warm fuzzies — I just loved it!

This is a short, cute novella focusing some on Penny and Garrett but a lot on the whole family and all of the significant others. I loved how excited everyone was, well mostly everyone, about this big Thanksgiving feast. I thought it was hilarious how many different types of food all of the brothers were asking for. I felt a little sad for Garrett and Penny, they missed each other so much. It was cute reading about how all the younger brothers dressed up and still all went to answer the door but did not run and act like animals when answering the door. All of them worked together and pulled off a great feast and Penny and Garrett are no longer going to have to wish to see each other every day.

This was such a cute short story. I love how the brothers always create command centers and take everything to the next level. Also since I read the Weddings In The City series first, it's exciting to get background on Evan's life before Ivy.
