From Author New York Times and USA Today Bestselling Author R.G. Alexander, Book 3 in the Finn's Pub Romance series! Ever had a thing for the man next door?
My sexy new neighbor is confusing the hell out of me.
Elliot Ransom is a baseball player and a single dad, but he doesn’t know his butter beer from a snozzberry. It’s clear he needs my professional help with the young daughter he’s just getting to know. What isn’t clear is what else he’s after.
Did I mention he’s straight? At least, I think he is. The midnight balcony meetings, awkward glances and affectionate bro-hugs are starting to throw me off. But I can’t let my guard down with yet another man who isn’t sure who he is or what he wants. All I know is, I don’t want “Great with kids, Unlucky in love” to be my epitaph.
So Joey + Elliot? It’s not going to happen.
*Author note: Joey is JD Green’s foster brother, so you might want to read One Night at Finn’s

This is the first time I’m writing a review for a book I didn’t really intended to read 😂
So yeah. If you’re about to read a book, make sure you don’t just match the title, but the author, too.
I mean- it wasn’t BAD. It just wasn’t as good as I expected it to be after reading the raving reviews my friends here wrote for the other book. And it certainly wasn’t a good book to read as a standalone - it’s book 3 in a series, and a crossover to at least one other series by the same author. So when random people and couples started popping in and out, I got increasingly confused 😂
This book is about Joey, a self made millionaire who employs nannies, one of 11 (if I remember correctly) foster brothers. And who just got out of a relationship with a straight, but very closeted man.
And Eliot, who lives next to the apartment Joey moved in, who’s a famous baseball player who’s on a break because he just recently learned that he’s father to a 5 year old daughter. Eliot is straight, too - that is, until he meets Joey.
It’s… nice. But definitely not smart to read if you don’t know any of the other characters. Call it a me-problem, if I’d read it in the correct order, I’d probably have rated it higher.
Honestly, it's so sweet I might be actually getting cavities. Metaphorical ones, at least.
I have way too many thoughts swirling in my head and it being almost 5 am, my brain is too tired to come up with a coherent review.
All I can say is, I absolutely adore Joey and Elliot gets a huge amount of points for not being a closeted asshole that implodes when he first realises he's attracted to another man.
No, instead, he is surprisingly sweet, and amazing dad and at the same time, possessive in bed. Just as we like them.
I really like these Finn stories and have been away from them for too long. I loved this . It took me a little while to get into it, but once I did I couldn’t put it down.
R.G. Alexander has done it again AND she has me salivating for Princess Tani's story! This tale of Joey & Elliot really shows off her snarktastic skills. Alexander has me laughing and crying in equal measure. It took me no time to read since, you know, sleep is overrated.😝 You all really need to come partake of this and all her Finn family of books but be warned: If you are shy about laughing out loud or spontaneous burst of indignation and/or tears on other's behalf, suck it up and read this book anyway! You won't be sorry...pinkie promise.
A Nanny-wrangler, pop-culture name dropping Joey runs into Baseball player and unexpected Dad Elliot and love balloons🎈 An interesting enough romance that’s surrounded by multiple series characters and their famous pub. Initially, I thought Joey’s thought bubbles were funny, cute but it quickly became a bit annoying. I got over it! Overall, an average but quirky read, with no surprises. Pop culture fun had by all!
First off, I've been a fan of R.G. for a few years now since I came across the first Finn book. I have loved every story in this fabulous world she's built with all of it's beautifully flawed, hysterically funny, filthy minded people who love unconditionally and support, defend, and protect those they care about with unrivaled ferocity. That being said, Joey, Elliot and those closest to them are no different. They both begin this journey needing a fresh start and to reevaluate their lives. They both have reason to have major trust issues and have absolutely no interest in starting a relationship anytime soon with all that they are each dealing with. They both however find themselves easily confiding in each other for different reasons. Elliot desperately needs Joey's help as both a friend and his advice on how he can do best by his newly discovered daughter. Joey has a hard time with this as he is attracted to Elliot and not only doesn't want to even think about a relationship after how his last one turned out, he also knows Elliot is straight and could never feel the same for him. Even absolutely believing this will end very badly for Joey he still can't say no to being there for Elliot especially after seeing him interact with his daughter (who instantly steals Joey's heart) and struggle with the weight of all his responsibilities only wanting to put his daughter first. Joey has an incredible understanding, patient, compassionate way with children. He has a sixth sense and ease with them built from his years of experience and only multiplied by his generous heart. Elliot finds a renewed passion for life in his daughter and his growing friendship with Joey that make him want to make changes in his life. Due to their pasts that have given them both well deserved insecurities and doubts in themselves and in their ability to or whether they even deserve to be loved and love in return. Throughout their story they learn things about each other and themselves that make them question everything they thought they new. All this while dealing with everyone and everything else going on around them with help from some surprising places. Joey and Elliot's love story isn't easy but it strengthens them both and opens them to new possibilities, new friends, and new family. Obviously you can tell I loved this book. The characters were incredibly well written, relatable, and had me rooting for them. Not just the main characters either. The side characters are just as well developed and become people you can't wait to see in future books because you just want to know their story, see where it goes. They are the kind of people you find yourself either identifying with or wishing they were your best friends in real life! So I definitely recommend this book wholeheartedly. Seriously go read this book right now! Also, if you haven't read R.G.s other books start reading. They're all fabulous! If you want to start at the beginning of the Finn's amazing story that continues to grow and get more interesting pick up Curious and get to know Jeremy and Owen the two hotties who started it all. Happy reading!
No cliffhanger Standalone though part of a larger series Told from both POVs M/M romance
I swear this is one of my favorite authors. Every book is laugh out loud funny and always super hot. This one was no different but might be one of my favorites. Joey is a hysterical character with thoughts that cracked me up.
Joey comes to the states to reduce his stress. On his first day at his new apartment he runs into Elliot, literally.
Elliot is a famous baseball player who is hiding out at a friends place while he deals with an unexpected change in his life. His friend just happens to be Joey’s neighbor.
Neither expects to hit it off, especially because Elliot has never been interested in a man before. But fate has a funny way of bringing people into your life.
But when their secret relationship gets out, will Elliot admit it or will what always happen to Joey, happen again and he will he left by the wayside in order to save Elliot’s career.
This book was great. It is a must read. I loved their love story and the hysterical banter and thoughts Joey had.
Way too much "looks at the audience" type writing. Huge chunks of narrative could be skipped due to the badly placed and often unfunny first person commentary.
The author always writes great sex scenes but the plot beats for a romance are always rushed. The conflict was thin and weak and the I love yous came way too quickly.
There were often scenes that became way too confusing as the characters involved and being talked about were numerous. Because of the obsession with breaking the fourth wall dialogue got so broken up you'd forget there was even a conversation happening!
This guy deserves to be happy. I’m surprised he wasn’t best friends with Sheamus. Another of JD’s brothers Joey and a new ‘scandal’ father become next door neighbours. It’s a little fun, a little angsty.
I’m a little curious about Noah’s story and Kate is a bigger storm than I thought. Nice to see a few finns. Ken sulking was adorable. Almost guessed it. Thought it was the boss instead of the minions.
Fast ending racing ahead into Tani’s story and wtf on that front. It’ll be interesting to see how the Waynes deal with that family.

I love the finn's pub romances and this one was no different! Joey and Elliot are sweet and sexy with the perfect amount of nerd and clueless. I'm not normally a fan of short stories but you dont loose anything with this story. Both characters are well developed and cant help falling for them as they fall for each other. Plus there are a few familiar faces that pop up! Cant wait for more !!
This was a fun book to read on a gloomy Sunday afternoon. I really enjoy these two, and I have thoroughly enjoyed reading the rest of the stories. I am looking forward to delving into the next book. If you enjoy a good love story then pick this one up. If you have not read the rest of the series that's OK, but you'll want to go back and read them, they are well worth it! Happy Reading!
This book includes everything I expect from a Finn world novel: fun and interesting characters, people pushing boundaries on societal norms and, of course, a whole lot of Finn, Wayne and JD Green family craziness. The story line was relatively angst free and I loved that the main character is a “manny”.
JD's Brother Joey gets his story and it's is wonderful. I love everything to do with the Finn's and I had been hoping to read Joey's book. Joey the babysitter meets a famous baseball player (although he doesn't know that) and their chemistry is immediate. R.G. Alexander writes great fleshed out characters who make you laugh and love with them. So Good! And now I want to know about George...
So I am still in the middle of reading this but as it is in a kindle i can skip to the end first to make sure to leave this posting. Even if you are not a big fan of m\m romance please give this one a chance as the way the story is told is very entertaining and makes you wish you had people like this in your life. I highly doubt you would regret it.
Totally love this story and cant get enough of the entire series, the spin offs are great as we get to see 3 big families mingle and old favourites pop up along the way
These books are always my go to so I highly recommend them
This author never disappoints me. This story is so fantastic. Joey is my favorite character of 2019 and Elliott is his perfect match. There’s so much humor and heart here. Buy it and enjoy. It’s incredible.
This has to be my favorite of the "non" Finn family books. Joey is completely adorable and would make him my bestie in a heartbeat. Then throw in a literal curve ball and in comes Elliott aka yum and I could see the sparks flying off the pages of this book.
I absolutely love this author and her series of the Finn's and their friends. Storyline was good, sex was hot and loved the epilogue. Definitely pick up this series of you love a spicy read!
I adore Joey! I am not usually a fan of first person present pov. It tends to drive me more batty than I already am, with all the angsting that goes on in one's head. But Joey, well his head seemed a bit like my brand of crazy. I got him. Totally understood his fascination with Elliott. Yum! I think of all the Finn stories I have read, this is my favorite. Since I am not one to name favorites, that says a lot all by itself.
Comfortable, sweet and sexy. The romance between Joey and Ethan is well done. If things go a bit too smoothly, and work out super-well? Hey, it’s a Finn world, and we just get to read about it.
I never mean to read these so quickly, but they make reading anything else almost impossible until I'm at the end, grinning. This one's funny, too, so c'mon!
I love this series and everything connected to it. Now I need to read the book linked to this one... immediately lol. Keep them coming R.G Alexander. *Hugs*
Loved Joey, head hilarious 😂!! But him and Elliott were 🔥together!! Loved their banter and I loved how Joey was trying, unsuccessfully, to keep himself from falling for Elliott!! Loved this book!!
