In Adrift Neal allowed his mind to do just that. Recalling certain aspects of his life, recalling was a pleasure. With that in mind, Adrift, opens the readers mind to places reserved for his closest friends. Neal's childhood inserts are as truthful as he remembered them.

Neal was apprehensive to put his feelings into print, but encouraged by family and friends he did just that.

Being a father of four children has not only blessed his life, but filled him with inspiration. His love for Sandy was never an issue. They dated through letters while he was stationed in Germany. Both their families and friends agreed, it was like pouring gasoline on a fire! They were meant for each other, and Neal's writings take you on that journey.

Neal always loved to write, in the third grade he wrote a poem -- about their class pet his name was "Squeeky." The teacher sent it into the "Weekly Reader." That was the first time Neal was published. Neal also has several poems published in "The International Society of Poets" publications.

Neal wrote most every day as a form of therapy, and hopes you enjoy them. Maybe perhaps help in any grief others may have.

After having "Tears For An Angel" published and overwhelmed with the reviews, the second book "The Power of Love" was then printed. With the encouragement of his youngest daughter Amy, Neal had decided to have a few other books published.

911 continued to bother Neal many years after the event. As Neal's health declined, he never stopped writing about that day.

Please note these books that have been published have been transcribed word for word how Neal McElhaney desired his work to read. This includes any capitalization. "Poetic License".
