This was a nice read, the prologue really grips you in and shows just how the rest the book is gonna be. This is the prequel to the Highest Bidder Series, and it’s actually just the first few chapters of book one, Bought. So really not much has happened yet, but I’m on to read the rest of Bought.

Not bad! Easy and quick read plus it made me want to read the series!

Update: I just started the first book and this novella is honestly pointless it’s literally just the first 5 chapters of the full length book. Still good though my rating doesn’t change.

This book is not a prequel to me it’s just a few chapters of the first book in the series which is a preview to me I thought this could be about what made Lucian start with club x and what is past was like. However it was nice to get a little refresher into the club x world and a short little book to get me back into willow winter books after reading some others can’t wait to read the other 8 willow winter books in my kindle library all free on Amazon!

This was a quick, good read. I already own this whole series, so I figured I would start here. I feel bad for Lucian because his family and ex-wife only cared about the money. Well, besides his sister. I feel bad for Delilah for a whole other reason. I can't believe her dad didn't believe her about her uncle. Why would someone lie about that? I am excited to see them meet on the first book.

Super annoyed that it was not at all a prequel. It's just the first 5 chapters of Highest Bidder 🙄. When is said prequel.. I thought we were getting like Madam Lynn's story. Totally not with spending money if you're already buying "Bought" or "Highest Bidder." I'm glad I got it on KU for my membership price.

Such a good start to a series and has you wanting to know how their situations will play out. It did seem like their story may be somewhat predictable, however I still want to read the series and see if my predictions are right.

Intriguing

A good intro prequel. I don’t know if I’m convinced enough to read the whole thing but still pretty good.

Unnecessary.
Good, short introduction to the story but you can SKIP IT since first 5 chapters are in book 1 already.

He’s ready?! Girl… I’m ready. 😂

My man literally listed off all the new things he bought just for his new girl and it ends on “it’s show time”. Thank you, yes.

My Rating: ★★★★☆

Club X, published on November 20, 2019, is a tantalising prologue to the Highest Bidder series, crafted by the talented USA Today bestselling authors Willow Winters and Lauren Landish. This short yet captivating read sets the stage for a gripping journey into a world where control and desire intertwine.

The story introduces a protagonist who thrives on control and ruthlessness, eschewing trust and love in favor of cold-hearted efficiency. Yet, beneath this hardened exterior lies a man with undeniable desires, leading him to the mysterious Club X. It is within the confines of this exclusive club that he encounters a woman who turns his world upside down, challenging his rigid principles and awakening emotions he thought were long buried.

Winters and Landish have woven an intriguing tale that is both well-written and engaging. The characters are easy to fall in love with, each with their distinct complexities that draw readers in. The storyline, though brief in this prologue, is clear and compelling, providing just enough to hook readers while leaving them eager for more.

The allure of Club X lies not only in its steamy premise but also in the promise of deeper exploration in the standalone novel, Bought. This introductory read effectively sets the stage, making readers anticipate the unraveling of the protagonist's journey and the dynamics within Club X.

In conclusion, Club X is a fascinating and well-crafted prologue that successfully piques interest in the Highest Bidder series. Its engaging characters and intriguing premise make it a must-read for fans of steamy romance. I am eagerly looking forward to diving into the full series to uncover the complete story.

I really liked the introduction to club x and it’s the prequel to the highest bidder and I love dahlia and Carla’s friendship and dahlias has a traumatic past with her parents and uncle and lucien talks to his sister and is part of club x which is a BDSM sex club and loves the control and love that both Carla and dahlia work for the same fashion company and dahlia needs money and so Carla tells dahlia about the sex club and I don’t like lucien parents who greedy and just wants money and this was a quick read into the world of highest bidder and dahlia isn’t close with her mother or her family because of what happened when she was a child and dahlia has past memories of her ex boyfriend as well and Lucien is part of club x since he knows madam lynn and Lucien built his own company and isn’t that close with his brother zander but talks to his sister Anna

It’s a short 50 page intro book into the series. They did a good job setting the scene and reeling you in. I’m already downloading the next book (Bought) to see where Lucian and Dah goes.

Very enticing and intriguing to say the least.

The prequel to bought. We are introduced to Lucian and Dahlia. It is actually just the first 5 chapters of bought, I discovered. So not necessary at all considering you’ll read it in bought so not sure the point of it tbh. But anyways we find out Lucian used to have a sub but she wasn’t perfect so he’s going to club X to buy a new one. And dahlia needs money for school and has interest in this auction after her friend tells her about it. It ends with Lucian putting his mask in his pocket and having his sex room prepared for the sub he buys.

4.5* Prequel novella

An excellent introduction to The Highest Bidder series, Club X is the beginning of the book Bought and starts with Lucian's and Dahlia's lives before they met, and the decisions they made that bring them to Club X. This is a short read, but definitely sets the mood and wets the appetite for the series and will have you wanting to dive into the series straight away. It's also free so a definite recommend from me.

Hot and intense

This book is a sneak peek of the story Bought. It is well written with interesting characters. This book is BDSM with the characters that have a connection that is beyond the sex. Lucian is all alpha but also loving and caring. Dahlia has a past that has changed her but also made her stronger. This book is intense and a page turner. After you finish this you will want to finish reading about Lucian and Dahlia interesting love story.

I like purple; it’s probably up there with red and black as one of my favorite colors.
I LIKE HER ALREADY 😭✨

Carla hesitates a moment, as if unsure how she wants to proceed, and then she leans forward and says beneath her breath, “Are you into BDSM?”
😭🤣🤣SUCH A BESTIE THING TO ASK

Subs and Doms are all familiar terms to me… I mean, everyone’s read Fifty Shades, haven’t they?

This is the prologue to Highest Bidder: Bought by Willow Winters and Lauren Landish. It gives you a sneak peak to a hot story. It gives you a glimpse of what is to come in the whole story. It gets you hooked & then you want to find out the rest of the story. These two authors write so smoothly together that you can't tell who is who. Great glimpse to a great story!

Smokin!

As far as intros go...damn baby, this series is going to be HOT!

I am already loving the vibe for these guys, both think they’re broken and need more to be fixed... both are just looking for each other, the yin to their yang.

I’m off to dive in to book 2, like right now, catch ya later babes.

Expected more in a prequel of this sort. Basically it just covers who the characters are and what they do for work.. Even though the first few pages show what is to come in further novels. It would be interesting to see how the BDSM scene, and her being a sub will help her over come the trauma she went though at a young age..
