Some days things just click. Today is not that day.

Love is a battlefield, and divorce attorney Sadie Howard is entrenched on the frontlines. She thought she might have met the right man once, but he was a career military guy who got shipped overseas and left her heart on the tarmac. These days, the only commitment Sadie wants is the one she's made to her Denver law practice.

Combat photographer Roman Dvornakov is back. Fresh out of the U.S. Army, he’s using family connections to snap photos at a few weddings while he builds his civilian photography practice. After all he’s captured on film, a few posed wedding shots should be a cakewalk. Seeing so much death through the camera lens, he’s now ready to build something worth living for. A thriving photography business, definitely. But he’s certain his new mission also includes Sadie, the girl who slipped away.

Sadie isn’t convinced, and she's not willing to open her heart anytime soon. Besides, she’s got a high-profile divorce case taking up all her attention. Winning the case for her client will make or break her practice.  So what if it's a custody dispute over a ridiculously expensive fish tank? When Roman discovers the soon-to-be divorced couple are still in love, he and his slightly-nutty grandmother, Babushka, are determined to convince them to cancel the proceedings. He’s not camera shy when it comes to matters of the heart, but interfering with Sadie's clients could wreck her career and any chance they'll ever have together...

WARNING: READ ONLY IF YOU LOVE A STRONG HEROINE, AN ALPHA HERO WITH A HEART OF GOLD, FAMILY MEDDLING, AND A GUARANTEED HEA. IF LAUGHING SO HARD THAT THOSE AROUND YOU ASK IF YOU ARE OKAY IS YOUR THING, THEN THIS BOOK IS FOR YOU.

I have been loving this series. It has humor, heart, and a grandmother who loves to butt in and help those she loves. This isn't just any grandmother...not the one who is all buttoned up and thinks everything has to be perfect and in place...Nope, this one has her picture where the definition is for One of a Kind on Google.

Her name is Babushka and she is the boss lady of the Dvornakov family. Now one would think a nice elderly woman would be ready to sit, retire, and let her children live their lives. If that is your thought, you have another thing coming and this entire series has been a major delight because of this woman. In Do Me a Favor (Mile High Matched, #4) she is one smart cookie and we benefit from it.

Roman Dvornakov is back home.
He had been a photographer traveling with the armed services all over the world in the most dangerous situations. He had many close calls and now was ready to start the next chapter of his life as a bridal photographer. Yet his next chapter had his focus on someone from his past.

Sadie Howard

Yes, Sadie was an early chapter in his life story and he intended to have another chance with the woman who haunted him all these years. You see, these two had a weekend together that became much more than hooking up. It had all the elements for two people to see where it would go and Roman made the serious mistake of not allowing any idea of it going somewhere; he nipped it in the bud, no long distance, no trying, nothing.

That experience left Sadie Howard with a sour taste in her mouth and heart. She then had another crappy experience when another guy and the dye was cast...

Men Sucked. Period.

She became a very successful divorce attorney and came back to her home town to open up her own practice. She had years of dedicated focus in a practice that had a bulletproof/no women allowed-glass ceiling. She had worked, excelled, and provided winning results for her clients yet the practice was never going to allow her to make a partner. Finally, enough was enough and she was starting all over again at home.

These two cross paths at Sadie's brother's wedding. The chemistry is still there, especially with Roman. He really wants to see where this could go...but by being a divorce lawyer for so many years, Sadie has a wall so high, Roman may not be able to climb it.

Roman begins to doubt his ability and enlists Babushka. Asking her to help is like that saying...Be careful what you ask for because you just might get it. Asking the force of Babushka to assist you in your love life has ramifications.

This was a delight. It had all the elements Hovland fans love. Quirky stuff, sexy stuff, heartful stuff, and lots of warmth. This couple was equally matched. Oh, and Roman was EVERYTHING. I would love a man like him Big Time.

With the way the world is going, this series is a perfect place to spend some time.

This is a well written, entertaining, humorous, heart warming, modern day, second chance romance. The characters are likable and and Babushka is hilarious! This novel is an excellent addition to Ms. Hovland's "Mile High Matched" series, and works well as a stand alone. The glimpses of the secondary characters and events from her other novels have piqued my interest in reading these stories.

*3.75 SWEET STARS*

Guess who turned into a big puddle of goo on the floor while reading this?
If you guessed it was me, you'd be correct.
This was so sweet, yet a little spicy as well, just the way I like my romance novels! Ugh, can I have a Roman please? He might be my favorite out of the Mile High Matched men!
And Babushka is a star man!

The one complaint I have is that the ending seems a bit rushed. I feel like Sadie's epiphany about second chances happened in the blink of an eye and I still don't get what really changed her mind.

Overall, a great end to a series I enjoyed a lot!

***4 ‘Can I Touch You?” Stars***

Oh my head.

These two...and Babushka, totally did me in.

Yes, I kept turning the pages, I NEEDED to see just how much more could possibly happen and what the tipping point would finally be, but OMG, my head.

*Deep breath*

Okay. Roman and Sadie. Here’s the thing. I really liked them both. I did. Both are good people, with good hearts, but man, did they put me through the wringer when it came to getting their HEA. I have so many words to say, so many thoughts that ran through my head, when it came to the choices they made, I won’t (can’t: spoilers) because then this would turn into a dissertation. What I will say is that while there is a part of me that needed them to get deeper with each other, I did like them together when they were just chill because I could see the connection that showed they could have an amazing future together.

While the Roman and Sadie show didn’t jump start my heart like I wanted it to, catching up with the rest of the Mile High crew made me all kinds of happy. Eli and Marlee were awesome, getting to hang out with Brek and Jase was a lot of fun, as well as spending sometime with Zach (who I’m hoping will get a book soon) and of course there is Babushka. This woman, she definitely added all kinds of crazy to this story, but I still want to be her when I grown up.

Good read.

Humor, heart, romance, a crazy grandmother, and happy endings from a previous book in the series as well as this one. Everything I needed to end this awful year of 2020. Read the books in order.

I’ve been enjoying Christina Hovland’s Mile High Matched series from the start, and I have to say Do Me A Favor is one of my favorites. In this adorable second-chance romance, Roman Dvornakov is so ready to start up where he left off with Sadie Howard that he looks to his crazy Babushka for help!

If you haven’t read the prior books, don’t worry. You’ll fall for Babushka and the rest of the Dvornakov family immediately because author Christina Hovland gives you enough back story that you’ll feel like you know her characters personally. Babushka is a riot! That sly fox will resort to just about anything to ensure her grandchildren’s happiness (and her shot at great-grandchildren). Her antics had me not only laughing out loud, but I actually snort-laughed once. (shh, don’t tell anyone!). Naturally, Roman is a hero you can’t help but fall for. Not only is he is tall, dark and handsome (with muscles!), and he is caring and romantic as well.

After their first trist, Sadie Howard got over Roman, went on to college and law school, and then had her heart ripped out of her through the stab wound in her back. She’s smart and hard-working, and desperate to crack the glass ceiling. She talks herself into believing that she doesn’t have time for and no longer believes in true, lasting love. Is it her career as a divorce lawyer or her previous lack of success in the love department that has entombed her heart in a cement box?

When Sadie and Roman move back to their home town, their inevitable run ins leave one fighting off attraction and one more committed to that attraction. Once Babushka is involved, the laughs begin. Ms. Hovland’s latest standalone romantic comedy about the Dvornakov family and friends is absolutely riotous! I enjoyed the chemistry between Roman and Sadie. I wouldn’t say it was combustible, but it was easy and authentic. The journey to the HEA is fun, and a great escape.

We have a second chance story and one we were waiting for since we met Roman eons ago in the first book. So in this one we meet Sadie who has had a lot of ups and downs but it seems way more downs. She comes in contact with Roman whom she had a weekend fling ten years ago, how likely is that. But anywho she she doesn't believe in second chances and Roman is wanting something she can't give, or can she...I loved reading of the previous couples, touching base..This Christina.

rcvd an arc at no cost to author...voluntarily reviewed with my own thoughts and opinions.

A romantic comedy. Roman made a mistake ten years ago and now needs to fix it to bring Sadie back into his life. Sadie is a divorce lawyer and disillusioned by her experiences. Add in Roman’s crazy grandmother and family and Sadie’s nutty clients and the fun doesn’t stop. A little outrageous in places but I enjoyed it very much.

I fell in love with Christina Hovland's Mile High Matched series last year, so I jumped at the chance to read and review the fourth book in the series. I was not disappointed.

First of all, Babushka - how I love thee. And luckily, Sadie has a lot in common with her. Both amazingly strong women that just - pardon my french - don't give a fuck. They are unapologetically themselves. Sadie may not have grown into herself as much as Nadzieja had, but she's well on her way. And now that she's with Roman, Babushka is in her life for good.

For the first time in a decade, Sadie Howard opened herself to him. He felt the shift inside her, even if it was just for now. Even if it was something she wasn’t certain she wanted to give him long-term. He’d take it. Take the now. Take the promise of a certain future. Take the hope of forever.

And Roman... *sigh* Fairly Alpha, creative, funny, charming, and he believes in love. I mean, how can you not want him as your book boyfriend.

I raced through this book the first time, and then got engrossed a second when I looked for quotes. 100% worth the read, and while you're at it, read the entire series.

I'm giving this installment in the Mile High Matched series FIVE Russian prostitute stars.

*** ARC kindly provided in exchange for an honest review. ***

Fourth installment in the Mile High Matched series and I’m still in love with this crazy world of the Dvornakov family. The next one to be hitched is Roman. His career in the military couldn’t save him for all the wildest and utterly insane adventure but for the battle of his life. Especially involving his babushka and his family.
After years of snapping shots in the most dangerous places, that man was hopeless when it came to the matters of the heart. His heart. Realizing that the woman he left behind without looking back has always been the one. I adored his bluntness, not beating around the bush to express his feelings. Coming back home and settling his new business was an easy job but seeing Sadie again, returned what was hidden to the surface, she was like the air he breathed.
Sadie became a tougher version of herself, becoming a divorce attorney, far from what she would have expected many years ago, when she met Roman and then broke her heart.
She was sassy, independent, deciding to help others who had failed their marriage. Because love didn’t last forever and her job and her past relationships has proven more than once. Real life was her reality not smoking hot military guys who were trying so hard to make her fall in love with them.
I adored their chemistry and banter. Roman had his ways to make her feel like she was the only one. Damn if it didn’t melt my heart. In every long breathtaking stare, in every gesture turned into that palpable passion that never ceased to slip away, born over and over again more intense, real and undeniable.
If you have read some of the books, you know that things could turn into a mess, hilarious moments with a family who loved meddling. You couldn’t keep a Dvornakov out of his mission, and when he had to turn into her grandmother who had no filter and unabashedly made her own plans to play matchmaker when needed. I loved that crazy old woman.
Anyway, Sadie and Roman were definitely a couple I loved, it was effortless to fall for them. Of course, Sadie drove me crazy sometimes with her stubbornness and tendencies to drive Roman away but I totally got her point.
Christina Hovland delivered an adorable second chance romance, filled with humour that comes with the Dvornakov family, noisy, loud and crazy but nonetheless endearing. Written with heart and genuine.

Such a great continuation to a playful, fun series! Unlike the previous books in this series, I can't really recommend this one as a standalone, because a LOT of the humor involves Babushka and the rest of the family. It's a light, funny second chance romance featuring a hero I loved and a heroine I never fully connected to. Their second chance isn't angst-ridden, but it does come with a lot of resistance from our heroine - which I couldn't fully get behind (more on that in a minute). Fans of the series will enjoy this one, and those who haven't read the series... should go do so immediately!

The story follows Sadie and Roman, two acquaintances who find a connection while Roman is on leave from the military. He's only got the weekend at home, and they make the most of it, jumping in bed immediately and spending most of the time there. Come Monday, Sadie offers to wait for Roman... but he's not at a point in his life where he can make a commitment. Ten years later, Roman and Sadie reunite at a wedding. She's now a slightly-jaded, divorce lawyer who is married to her job, and Roman is home for good. He's had ten years to live with the regret of not taking Sadie up on her offer, and isn't interested in wasting any more time, so he enlists the help of his Babushka - one of the most memorable grandparents from any series I've read.

This one still has everything I love about the series, from the great cast of characters to the humor to the small shots of angst. I really liked Roman and his determination, as well as some of the funny moments. But I didn't really love Roman and Sadie as a couple. Considering they were acquaintances who had only spoken a few words to each other before jumping into bed together the first time, it didn't feel like Sadie should've given Roman such a hard time for not committing the first time around. It's not that they didn't work out the first time, it's that they were never actually together. I struggled with the depth of her hurt, but perhaps if we had seen more of their connection in the past it would've felt more realistic. Ultimately, it's not my favorite book in the series, but it's absolutely a series that I will continue reading. I received an ARC via Hidden Gems and am voluntarily leaving a review of this second chance romance.

* I won an ebook of this through the Goodreads First Reads Giveaway Program. *

This was my first book by author Christina Hovland, and while this says it is book 4, I was able to start here and be ok. The author does a good job of letting the reader catch up from the previous books. She is able to help the reader figure out the backstory of the other characters and help them to see what is happening and move forward starting here.

This book gives us Sadie and Roman and their long ago love affair that they are trying to resurrect but Sadie has lots of reservations. We meet the amazing Babushka and the reader can't help but literally laugh out loud when we read her antics. The reader needs to watch where they read this one so they don't laugh out loud in public.

The reader can't help but root for them to get together and to survive the second chance odds. This reader did think that some parts of the book were a little slow and some parts and a bit too much fluff and it stops the flow of the story, but overall it is a good read. The author gives the reader a nice concrete ending and leaves it open for the next story to be set up.

**My thanks to the author for providing me with a free copy for an honest review**

Yay, finally we have Roman and Sadie's story. This book can be read as a stand alone book, however i would recommend reading the rest of the books they are just that good. you also get to see more of the awesome character that is Babushka and all the craziness that is her.

Roman walked away from Sadie ten years ago and has regretted it ever since. Now back on home soil for good he knows what he wants and he actually asks his grandmother for her help.

Sadie has been burned a few too many times and now as a divorce lawyer, does not trust that you can get a happy ever on a second chance. With Roman there all the time and Babushka doing her thing there is not chance that Sadie will walk away from all of this with her heart belonging just to her.

We get to see some of the previous characters in this book which is great to see and when the book is live we will get an extra bonus epilogue which i cannot wait to read. I really hope that this is not the end of the series as i really want to see more of Babushka.

Sadie may have only spent one weekend for Roman, but their time together left quite the impression on her heart and her life. She wanted more but with his military career he didn’t feel he was in a position to offer it so when he left, he took her heart with him. Her experiences when it comes to men have shown her that love isn’t for her, so she turned that knowledge into a career as a divorce attorney.

Roman has left his military career in his past and is ready to embark on the next stage of his life and that is his career as a wedding photographer and to have a second chance with the woman he has never forgotten.

When they reunite the chemistry between them is stronger than ever, but Sadie isn’t about to give him the chance to hurt her again, but her determination is no contest against a matchmaking grandmother.

Hot chemistry, humorous banter and interactions and not only are Sadie and Roman great characters but the secondary characters make the story even better.

This book was not something I’d typically go to and maybe that’s why I rated it so low. This was also an audio book, so full transparency, maybe it was the narrators? I’m not sure but the whole time this book just kinda felt off and kinda flat.

While the characters were alright, I didn’t find the plot that engaging or believable. I kept getting annoyed with side characters and kind of felt like some parts weren’t needed.

I would probably recommend reading this book, as I said, I did an audio book. That really threw me off. There were parts where I didn’t know where they finished a sentence or not, as often it all kinda of just ran together into one long paragraph. It felt very like “wait what’s happening now” so would maybe recommend reading and not doing the audio book.

Frustrating love story

I won this book from Goodreads. Sadie and Roman are the main characters with Babushka coming in right behind them. Sadie was a very frustrating person, especially with the way she treated Roman. Ten years later, they reconnect and Roman is very clear that he wants her to be part of his life. She keeps brushing him off because she doesn't believe in second chances. Regardless of the reasons Roman keeps giving her, she won't have it. Even though her body wants him, she rules with her logic. Roman becomes desperate enough that he enlists the aid of his Babushka for the affairs of the heart. So many things happen at once that everything falls apart. I did like the ending of this story. My only complaint is with Sadie.

I came for the laughs, but stuck around for the heart. Hovland has a way with emotions that brightens every romance she writes. Do Me a Favor is more than a laugh out loud kind of read. Sadie and Roman remind readers that to get to the humor, we have to address the heartache. With an empathetic ear and a sometimes heavy heart, Hovland pulls off the ultimate takeover. In a time of constant uncertainty, she finds a way to bring about a smile.

Fun and fabulous!

Will Babushka strike again? Sadie and Roman has a weekend. Just a weekend. But it could have been more if Roman had asked her to wait. Now he's back, looking for a second chance. But she's not a second chance girl. Desperate times call for desperate measures.

This was a good read. Sadie and Roman have a short thing together. He then takes off for his job. Now several years later he is back and he regrets not staying. The problem is that he hurt Sadie and with her being a divorce attorney she no longer believes in love. He then spends the rest of the book trying to get her to change her mind. Thankfully by the end they get their happy ending.

She's a divorce attorney and he's a photographer. They had their day according to her, but he calls for a re-trial. Second chances with Babushka for a matchmaker makes for another lively Mile High Matched romance.

Do Me a Favor is the fourth of the standalone Mile High Matched series. They could be enjoyed separately, but I found them much more fun getting them in order so the other couples and the rest of the Dvornakov family who are present make more sense.

Right before Roman Dvornakow, combat photographer and Jase's older brother, was to be deployed on his latest mission, Sadie Howard, promising law student and Eli's younger sister, gets up the gumption to invite her secret childhood crush home with her from a party. Roman is leaving soon and she's heading off to school. She gets it, but after a few days of sensual delight and the connection between them, she goes for it and asks for more. He says no and leaves.

Five years later, Roman is still feeling the effects of making the wrong choice. He's out of the military now and ready to settle down with his photography business. At his brother's wedding he runs into a more poised and decidedly cooler Sadie. She's a divorce lawyer now and doesn't believe in anything lasting much less giving a second chance. But, Roman isn't giving up and he has a secret weapon in his arsenal- his Babushka.

Sadie is starting up her own law practice and she needs that lovely main street office that Roman offers her in his building just up the street from Jase's restaurant, Brek's bar, and Heather's bakery. She tries to control her still present feelings and keep him at arm's length. It's just temporary. She knows relationships don't last and she doesn't want to go through it all again when he lets her down. Sadie discovers that telling Roman no is one thing, but his Babushka plows right through any stop signs she puts up. Does she really want to keep resisting?

This was a fun one and got even more fun when Babushka arrived for the party. Roman made the mistake of setting aside feelings for his career and found he was in for a battle to convince Sadie when he finally figured it out. Sadie got burned and then her job got her jaded. She still loves Roman, but can't trust that his love and she has turned into a workaholic trying to prove herself in her career and make a success at the new start in Denver.

I enjoyed both characters and could easily root for both of them. Sadie held her ground and I can't say I followed her line of thinking, but then again, it was her job to clean up other people's relationship disasters day in and day out. She actually came to believe she was doing them a favor ending their marriages so it was tough for her to see, even with the examples of friends and family, how it would even work out with Roman. I did love seeing her friends and their extended family really rally around her. They loved her just as she was quirky, argumentative spirit and all, but they also pushed her to let go of her fears and not give up on her own happiness. It was good that she made it a little tough on Roman since he was the one to not even consider trying a long-term relationship with her in the past and put his career over a chance at a relationship.

They really didn't stand a chance with everyone willing to help get them together and it was an entertaining story as a result.

Do Me a Favor was a quick, engaging read and I loved the latest second chance romantic comedy with Roman and Sadie as the leads. Those who enjoy light, but spicy romances should definitely give this series a try.

My thanks to the author for providing the book to be read in exchange for an honest review.

Fantastic RomCom & Narration🎧 Sweet & Delightful! A Sweet & Heartfelt Delight!

Do Me a Favor: A Second Chance, Hilarious Rom Com!
Mile High Matched, Book 4
By: Christina Hovland
Narrated by: Vanessa Edwin, Tim Paige

Christina Hovland pens another amazing novel for her fabulously delightful “Mile High Matched” series. This book, like the others in the series grabbed my attention right from the start and held it straight to the end. It is the type of book that puts a smile on you face and keeps it there. I adore the characters in this series, they are likable, realistic and easy to connect with. It was great to see the quirky, over the top, meddling Babushka again, I fell in love with her early on in the series. She is unpredictable and one of a kind, as the Dvornakov matriarch she always manages to get her way and no one can say otherwise or get a word in edgewise. This book is Roman Dvornakov and Sadie Howard’s book, Roman is Sadie’s brother Eli’s best friends and Jace’s older brother, both their stories were told in earlier books. Roman enlisted in the army after losing his grandfather and went on to become a successful combat photographer. Sadie is about to enter law school, it is her goal to become a courtroom attorney in a big city. One weekend off she hooked up with Roman who was home on leave. The two clicked, but he did not want to do the long distance relationship thing, she asked if he wanted her to wait for him but he did not want to ask that of her, his mind was set to his work. Fast forward ten years after a failed attempt to make it in a law firm in Chicago she headed home to Denver, Co. and started her own law practice, current case is a divorce. She winds up running into Roman at Jace and Heather’s wedding, she learns he is back home to stay. He wants a second chance with her, knows he screwed up letting her go years earlier but she won’t have it, she is bitter about relationships and is not interested in starting one. But Roman does not give up that easily and then he makes a big mistake, he asks for Babushka’s help. I loved how everything plays in this book, the story is brilliantly plotted and there is never a dull moment, there is plenty of drama, laugh galore, some heartfelt and emotional moments and a great second chance romance. Christina Hovland. Thank you for another wonderful story, the emotional rollercoaster ride and the laughs. This series is awesome, I loved the characters, the storylines and how much heart each book contained.

I listened to the Audible edition, Vanessa Edwin and Tim Paige are talented narrators and voice artists. They were perfectly casted to bring the characters to life, giving each their own distinct voice and personality. They did an awesome job portraying each character, grasping their persona and humanizing them with their emotions. Vanessa Edwin captured Sadie’s fierceness and determination, as well as her soft and vulnerable side. Tim Paige’s Roman was spot on too, you could hear how much heart he had. Both were great performing the voices for the secondary characters too, including Babushka’s Russian accent. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for this fabulous listen🎧

*** I received a free copy, arch of this book for an honest review***

First, let me say thank you to the author and or publisher for the book. Second, thank you to the author for continuing with the characters of this story. Sometimes authors feel they need to change things up. Here though you still get a story along with the characters from the previous books and the humor that comes with the Dvornakov family loud and always in your business.
Here you have Roman Dvornakov and Sadie Howard. Sadie is Elis's sister and he and Roman are best friends. But one weekend Roman and Sadie spend the entire weekend together. Before she is to leave for law school and he is returning to the military. She tells him all the sweet things a guy wants to hear from a woman, but Roman says don’t wait for me to live your life and walk in the airport without looking back.
Sadie has done what he told her to do ten years ago to live her life and now she is a divorce attorney in Denver and is getting ready to walk down the aisle for her friend’s wedding. Happy for her friend she realizes she wants that marriage and family.
Roman is looking at Sadie and while he is to be taking pictures of the wedding, he can’t take his eyes off of her and knows now ten years later he made a big mistake in walking away from her. That day he knows he must come up with a plan to win her back. His plan includes the one person who everyone tries not to include his Babushka.
He also does not know that Sadie does not believe in second chances and so he is really behind the eight ball all the way around. With all of the high jinx that his grandmother causes along with his own this story will keep you turning the pages to see what happens to the next page. A very good book with very good characters.

5 out of 5 Babushka stars!

Do Me A Favor is #4 in the Mile High Matched series. I've been there through the ups and downs for all of Christina’s characters and their HEAs. I absolutely love Babushka, she is such a kick in the pants!

Do Me a Favor is Sadie and Roman’s turn at their happily ever after. Things started out great and they both had an amazing weekend, but when Roman makes a choice to let Sadie go, things don't go as planned for either of them. Second chances have never been so funny!

Sadie Howard has learned a few things in the years since Roman left. "She does not believe in blue eyeliner, letting a man touch her boobs on the first date, or second chances. The first two points came from an abundance of trial and error. Mostly error. The third, well…that came from being a divorce attorney."

Roman Dvornakov has learned winning means different things. "Sometimes it took a twist of the lens, a shift in perspective, to see the glimmer of light in the jungle trees. People just had to be willing to grab hold of that glimmer and believe that maybe they’d been wrong."

Both have recently come back home to start a new life. Then they run in to each other at Jase and Heather’s wedding. They have a lot of issues to deal with but with a little help from Babushka and a lot of laughs and help from crazy family and friends they finally get their HEA.

This is a book that I really enjoyed and hope you will too. I received a free copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving a review.

The extra star is for babuska

So I’ve only read 2 of the 4. I began this book first, it was kindle unlimited recommend. But I could not get into it. So I jumped to Eli and Marlee’s story (not sure why) I stayed up until well past 4am to finish that one. But this one I lost what ever little connection I had to Sadie by chapter 11 and started speed reading, mostly skipping after chapter 16. I wanted tone done. This was the first book I read that I wished a HEA happened with someone else.

👇👇👇 SPOILERS👇👇👇 but explains my reason for negative review

Sadie was a jaded woman for what ever reason. She spent a 3 day weekend with Roman and somehow him telling her don’t wait for me broke her heart. Ummmm he’s going to a literal war zone. Photographers are dodging the same bullets as the solders. He doesn’t know how long he’ll be needed or if he’ll survive. I feel it to be selfish for someone to ask me to wait if we had a weekend fling. So she lives this motto no second chances she even gets upset the her soon to be divorce client decides she wants to give their marriage a second chance.

It also annoyed me that everyone jumped down Roman’s throat because he asked babuska for help in getting them in the same room together, but they turned to her for their personal needs. She built a happy law career in the field she wanted thanks to babuska’s “manipulation”. Yes manipulating is horrible when it deals with emotions, but one can only manipulate what you are feeling deep down. And Sadie clearly was still in love with Roman she was just bitter.

Do Me a Favor: A Second Chance, Hilarious Rom Com!
Mile High Matched, Book 4
By: Christina Hovland
Narrated by: Vanessa Edwin, Tim Paige

When Roman returns home after serving in the military, he isn't expecting to see his old flame. Sadie goes to his brother's wedding, and now he knows exactly what he wants. Sadie, an attorney is looking to build her practice as a divorce lawyer. She has no time or desire to get back with Roman. Or does she? The one that got away for both of them leads to so much fun and humor, I laughed all the way through. Sadie is ambitious and has seen so much with her experience as a divorce lawyer. Is it even worth falling in love? And Roman is the perfect man it is impossible not to fall for the warm feelings he has. But the real star of the book and the series is Baboushka, Roman's grandmother. The master manipulator is out to get her great grandchildren and she will stop at nothing. So funny I was laughing out loud. So romantic, I was falling in love. This is a fantastic addition to the series.

Vanessa Edwin and Tim Paige as amazing narrators and each brings so much to this book. Their comedic timing is spot on. Edwin emanates Sadie's feelings, from lust to frustration to love. Paige brings on the heat with is warm tones as Roman. Their voices bring this story to life and it's just so good!

Christina Hovland's "Do Me a Favor" was a charming, funny, and sweet story with plenty of laugh out loud moments and likeable, well-developed characters. Female lead character Sadie was clearly a born lawyer: smart, tenacious, and maybe a bit stubborn, but sweet, kind, and lovable just the same. I loved the way she was always arguing, even if it was only with herself. Sadie's love interest, Roman, was also pretty great, very family-oriented with a wonderful sense of humor. He realized very quickly that he'd made a mistake with Sadie when they were together ten years earlier and was determined to convince her to give him a second chance, even if that meant enlisting the questionable matchmaking skills of his crazy Russian grandmother, Babushka.

I think Babushka meant well with her matchmaking, but her methods were unorthodox, to say the least, and she ended up being just as interfering and hilarious in this story as she was in the earlier ones. I enjoyed catching up with her, however, as well as the other characters from previous books who made cameo appearances, especially Eli (Sadie's brother) and his wife Marlee (Sadie's best friend). Marlee's dog Lothario was back too, in all of his shoe-defiling glory. The bromance that developed between Roman, Eli, Roman's brothers Jase and Zack, and their mutual friend Brek ended up being a lot of fun too.

I really hope that Ms. Hovland plans to write more stores in this series! This cast of characters is very entertaining and it seems like there is potential here for several future tales.

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "DO ME A FAVOR" Sadie Howard is a divorce attorney she had her heart broken by Roman Dvornakov was in the military and got shipped overseas he was a Combat Photographer.
When Roman returns home he takes up wedding photography through connections of his family a far cry from the photo's he took with so much death he definitely lime this change and was building a lucrative business.
Sadie isn't ready to open ger heart once more to Roman she's busy with a high profile divorce case that's keeping her busy this could make or break her practice, but Roman along with Babushka his crazy grandmother get involved when they realize the couple are still in love.
Will Sadie give Roman another chance what will happen to her career if her client cancells the divorce proceedings this is absolutely a must have book so well written and definitely well worth the read such a delightful humorous storyline you don't want to miss I thorpughly enjoyed this book and would certainly recommend I can't wait to see what's next awesome series.

Do Me a Favor was a hilarious read that still provided all kinds of other emotions on the side, but yeah, I'm all over the hysterically funny stuff! Sadie Howard is a divorce attorney who is completely over love, plus she's done with her firm since she has no chance at making partner, so she ends up at home to open her own practice. Roman Dvornakov is also home, and he's ready to win back Sadie, but she's not having anything to do with him since he hurt her in the past, so he has to enlist his nosy Babushka, who totally stole the show for me 100%! This lady was something else, not your average grandmother, and I couldn't get enough of her antics. They're coming for Sadie, who still doesn't have time to even try to get Roman to leave her alone since she's working on a case which will make or break her practice, and then Roman gets involved in that. So that's all that I'm willing to say about all of that, but trust me there's so much more, so hit those one click buttons to experience the Do Me a Favor goodness for yourselves! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!
