Russ "Crusher" Davis will take over as president of Black Hawk MC when his father steps down. He realizes the job isn't going to be easy, but with his friends, the club’s support and loyalty of its members behind him, there are no problems he can't solve.

Carly Monroe has been raised in one club and protected by another but has no trust in either. Club life may work for her friend; however, she has no plans to follow in her footsteps, not for Sami or for the man whose touch puts cracks in the wall she's built around her heart.

Crusher knows with a strong woman beside him, his impending presidency won't suffer—Black Hawk will thrive for future generations. Now all he has to do is show one woman that she doesn't have to be alone—friends, family, and the love of a good man are there if she will open her heart and embrace them.

Carson Mackenzie enjoys writing romance with a real feel inside the stories. She writes with the belief not every man is a jerk and not every woman needs saving.

Carson lives in the South with her son, a Great Dane and two adopted shelter dogs that keep the household in line. Books have always been a part of her life. There is nothing better to her than curling up and relaxing with a good story and losing herself in someone else’s world for a few hours.

Writing stories and growing as an author with each book is her goal. She wants to reach the level where a reader knows when they see her name on a cover, they can trust in the fact there will be a good story as they flip through the pages.

Carson’s journey into writing has only been for a few years. As she’s finally starting to settle in, she can’t believe she waited so long to start.

What a much appreciated little diversion Crusher was from what’s been a hellacious week.

Crusher had one night with Carly before she figured out he was in an MC. Due to her completely screwed up family, she had declared herself D-O-N-E with bikers. When some family secrets come to light she runs back to her home and the Haven MC to get some answers.

Crusher is definitely an alpha-hole but the good kind. He’s concerned about her safety since she’s the target of a rogue biker and his crew from her old MC. Crusher does what needs to be done to keep her safe even if it’s against her wishes. I have to say, his methods and the things he did were sweet as could be.

Carly had a bit of an attitude problem against the bikers in Speed’s book making her come across as extremely immature. Thank goodness that changed in Crusher. She’s had a rough life and when the truth of who her family actually is came out, you just wanted to hug her as she realized everything that was stolen from her.

Crusher definitely had a biker-lite feel to it though it had lots of action. Even with its issues, I enjoyed it and look forward to the next one.

What I Struggled With:

1. The editing. This book is in desperate need of an editor, both for content, grammar and the neverending typos.
2. The repetition. Another thing a good editor would have picked up on but if I had to read how sweet little Ally had the whole MC wrapped around her finger one more time my head was going to explode.
3. The length. In order to tie everything up, it felt rushed at times and not as in depth and fleshed out as it could have been.

What I Liked:

1. Crusher and his determination.
2. Carly’s newfound maturity and strength.
3. The Black Hawk and Haven MC families and how they are coming together.

3 1/2 Sweet Biker Stars

Crusher and Carly's story is just as good as the first book. I love this series and can't wait to see what happens between the other characters in the up coming books.

It Grabbed My attention and focus so strong I could not put it down. A word of advice when you get your copy. Grab a snack, a comfy seat, kick back and relax. You will not be moving until you finish this bad boy here. Remarkable job. Thanks for sharing.

Well. This book was better than the first book. Definitely had more “relationship” building, but I still felt like most of the emotion was missing. So far this series has felt a little backward, almost like the author is skimming over how they get together, just a brief hint at a one night stand, and then the author tells us that they spent time together talking, and magic: a relationship. Throw in a little “MC drama (lite)” and tada, an MC romance. I like a slightly grittier MC with some actual emotions. But for a quick fluff read, this one wasn’t bad.

I said I wasn't going to read the rest of this series but I'm that crazy person that finishes what she starts. Crusher was with others after first encounter with Carly. Not sure if she was or not. Speeds book sort of gives it all away that the guys aren't pining for the ladies in a few of the books.

Good addition to the series. It's been a while since I read book 1 and found it a little difficult to follow all the characters in the beginning of the book. It could be read as a stand alone but would be less confusing if you read the first book prior to reading this one.

Carly grew up in the MC life and wants nothing to do with it. So much so that she became a deputy. She constantly butts heads with Crusher. They had one night together and Crusher knew he had found the woman for him. When Carly found out who and what he was, she took off. When Carly discovers that her past wasn't what she thought it was, it puts her in a tail spin. Crusher will do whatever it takes to help Carly and convince her that he is the man for her.

Carly and Crusher's story gets us even further into this MC and this is where I really got hooked! Carly is so prickly and stubborn when it comes to the MC life. She won't admit that Crusher is the man she wants and needs. Crusher knows this feisty, stubborn woman is his everything and goes after her with everything he has. Totally in love with the Black Hawk MC, 5 stars for Crusher!

The thing I like about this series is that it is not hard core MC lifestyle. Is there action - yes, is there a sense of family - yes, most important are there alpha bikers - most definitely yes but these are not dark hard core bikers. The men all grew up in the MC as their fathers founded it. Crusher will be the next president when his dad steps down. Carly is the daughter from another MC who is over bikers and doesn’t want anything to do with them...until she meets crusher. When she finds out who he is she decides to run back to her family and find out the truth. With a rouge member of her family’s MC and his minions on her tail crusher decides she needs help, whether she wants it or not. He has his methods of keeping her safe in the nicest possible way. Wow! Another great read in the Black Hawk MC series, I am so hooked. I honestly am not sure what is better the guys falling for these amazing women, the ongoing underlying story line that just drives you to continue to turn the page or oh my god, the perfect little she-devil named Ally. Whatever your preference, this series contains it all and it an absolute pleasure to read about each one of these guys. This book focuses on Carly and Crusher and my goodness the details dropped in here make for an interesting read for sure. Also, the sons of Black Hawk MC have now been given the reins to the MC, now to see what demons come out of the shadows to challenge these boys. Can't wait!

ONE INTENSE EXPERIENCE!!!
A whirlwind of activities and events that keep you flipping page after page. Talk about a wild rollercoaster ride of deceit, lies, hatred, fury, backstabbing and all out betrayal. Twists and turns abound with unexpected circumstances that really pull this bad boy together flawlessly. It doesn't get any better than this. The characters were mind blowing and authentic with personalities that screamed for respect. Sparks fly as suspense and danger ensues in epic proportions. The scenes were so vividly detailed and descriptive it gives the illusion you were right there in the middle of ground zero with them. Carson nailed this bad boy 100% on point. Remarkable job Carson, thanks for sharing this little gem with us.

Carley and Russell (Crusher) are fireballs from the start, always doing or saying something to piss the other off...instant attraction. Carley is fighting the attraction as she doesn't want anything to do with an MC as she had a bad experience with it while growing up. She is helping Sami and Ally move into Speed's house when she discovers a note written to Speed's father from her's which rocks her world and changes her life. She tears out on her bike seeking answers from her old life. This sets many things in motion and puts Carly back in danger. Can Crusher save her from herself? Find out in this fast paced novel.

This series has been pretty good so far. Resolution finally concerning Cutter’s death and Carly’s father. Mostly stand-alone, but always best to read in order.

In the first book Crusher and Carly spent all their time argueing with each other. As you can guess, the had a one night stand, not realizing they would be in the same town and keep running into each other. Takes Crusher less time than Carly to admit he has feelings for her. When she is shot, he decides not to waste any more time. Kind of wondered if there was something more to Crusher’s mom’s visit and her comment about Cutter or if it was just a throw away statement.

I love the fact that I was able to read this book immediately after finishing book 1! This series is continuing in the same vein, which is brilliant! The alpha males are not standing for their women being at risk, whether the female wants protection or not, she is going to have it! The dialogue between characters at times is pretty funny. It seems that each book is going to concentrate on a different couple so they could be read out of sequence but as this one includes more filler for book 1, I think reading them in order might be the best deal to get the full story.

This is the second book in the Black Hawk MC series. It's a fast-paced and standalone book that will keep you engaged from start to finish. There's action, adventure, drama, danger, suspense, twist/turns, enemies, survival, intrigue, humor, mystery/secrets, surprises, conflict, politics (club), loyalty, confusion, family, friends, truth, trust, romance, passion/lust and love.
The blurb about this book adequately describes what happens in the story and I won't bore you with a detailed description of the story. All I can say is that if you love books about sexy MC men then you need to read this book.
Can't wait to read the next book by this author.

Boys and their toys but the life with those toys...

This is an explosive book that you can't seem to put down. You get lost in the characters and look forward to more. The trials and tribulations that people go through in life can either break us or make us stronger. We learn from what we do and can either grow from it or have it hold us back. Not everyone's lives are full of roses and sunshine and making the best of what we can do with the choices we make, seems to make all the difference. I look forward to reading more fo the series.

Crusher cannot help his growing attraction to the towns new deputy. After her upbringing, Carly swore one thing: No Bikers! Sometimes the heart wants what it wants. Will Carly give them a chance? Will Crusher be able to keep her safe?

Great enemies-lovers romance. I loved how despite her fighting it, Crusher was determined to do what he could and wouldn't back down from protecting what he considered to be his. I didn't blame Carly for her reactions when she was learning that not everything she thought she knew was the truth. Good read!

It a good read.

I liked these two together. But, in the first book. Half of it was doing or thinking of all the times they were big time Whores. I do not get why this author even but that in the books because they do a quick 180 and suddenly they are decent men. Don't buy it. I kept waiting for the women sluts to start something but they are really not in the books. After reading the first book, I didn't expect them to be faithful. I just Don't know why the author is going this route when she put them in a bad light in the beginning.

Love hate relationship

Carly meets Crusher for a one night on his way home from the military. When he mentioned the MC she took off.
Now in the same town she is a deputy sheriff things are interesting. Carly like her friend Sami grew up in the MC life but Carly wanted nothing to do with that life anymore.
But a secret is revealed, she is in danger and Crusher is on her tail.
These two fight like cats and dogs but Crusher makes her realize she will always be MC and they will be together.
Love these six guys who were raised by single dads. Lets get to the next adventure.

The book picks up where Speed ends. Carly flees to Haven when she see the note. She needs answers and time to think. On her return trip, she is injured and that give Crusher his in. He won’t leave her side. He wants her and he will get what he wants. They both have decisions to make and I really hope they make the right one.
This series keeps getting better and better. An awesome Mc book with fabulous writing.

A quick enjoyable read.
I felt that the author had the ability to convey some depth to the personalities of the characters bringing a greater sense of reality to her story.
The writing draws you in and keeps you interested until the end.
The chemistry between the H and h is great plus their attitudes and events going on make the story even richer.

This book was really good Carly and Crusher had a one night stand and Crusher left for overseas, and he never knew about his daughter until he comes home and she never knew he was in a MC. Anyways, they find themselves falling in love and so many things happen in this book-have to read the other stories in this series.
