I like doing online free courses with The Open University, you can learn so much, particularly if you are researching something in which you are actually working. There are asperger's syndrome people within my family, and I have worked with boys who have autism for many years lately, but this book was written in 2018, and the world has moved on a little since then with regard to autism.

I'm not saying that this book isn't worth reading, it is but be mindful that it isn't necessarily up to date in some ways of reaching out to those with autism.

Good read deffo worth reading to get my understanding of autism. It provides greater insight on different constructs of autism and recognise it as different rather than disability

Simplicity and straight illustrations. It takes through a journey into d minds and worlds of children, how they view d world differently. It recognises straights

Understanding autism with the OU

The course presentation was clear and concise with excellent explanations for any of the terms covered by the new comer. I feel I have gained a more accurate and rounded understanding of the autism spectrum and how it affects and impacts the lives of all concerned.

Good to teach

As someone who is autistic I found the book to be good to teach others. I do wish it discussed more aspects of the spectrum . I am glad it is available.
