An innocent girl like Raelynn should’ve never fallen into Playboy’s bed. His name alone should’ve been a red flag waving in her face, but she needed help.
A ladies man like Playboy should have locked the door on Raelynn the second she knocked. The way she looked at him like he hung the stars should have set him running, but he always took what he wanted.
Raelynn is looking for a hero, not just a tumble in the sheets.
Wall Street Journal and USA Today bestselling author Winter Travers is a devoted wife, mother, and aunt turned author who was born and raised in Wisconsin. After a brief stint in South Carolina following her heart to chase the man who is now her hubby, they retreated back up North to the changing seasons, and to the place they now call home. Winter spends her days writing happily ever afters, and her nights being a karate mom hauling her son to practices and tournaments. She also has an addiction to anything MC related, puppies, and baking.
Awesome book!!! A great addition to the Royal Bastards MC series. I just flew through this book in no time. Couldn't put it down.
Starts off with a young woman's missing sister and her search for her. There's so many ups and downs and even the main female, Raelyn, said she felt like she was on a rollercoaster. Some really heartbreaking times too but her Playboy was there for her.
Great writing... great flow and just enough sexy times. Can't wait to read more of this authors books.
This is my first book by this author and will not be last. Interesting, fast-paced, and sexy.
Playboy is a member of the Royal Bastards MC and certainly lives up to his name. He is easy on the eyes and is just looking for a good time. That is until Billie Jean's sister comes looking for help anyway. Now he is willing to put his playboy to bed, at least for a little bit to help out this innocent girl get the answers she is looking for.
Raelynn is not the type to walk into a motorcycle club for anything. She is a good girl, doing the right things, not one for any sort of trouble until her twin goes missing. Turning to the only person she thinks that can help she give Playboy an offer he can't refuse. Even though she is not meant for the MC world she doesn't back down when challenged and won't take no for an answer.
These two characters develop this easy sort of relationship. Bonding over pizza and a mystery they find that they are exactly what the other needs, even though they are not looking. They have a ton of chemistry and that "thing." While their relationship does develop quickly and the story was a fast one, I found myself, after it was over, wanting to know more about the other characters and of course what is going to happen next for a certain someone. Because the ending left a lot of questions that need to be answered.
I love a good insta love story, when there is a connection, some good chemistry, a good sizzle - this lacked all three. From what I gathered the heroine looks like a librarian, wears glasses, only owns leggings, jeans and polos, doesn't wear make up and is heavy? The hero is a playboy aka road name, so how does a playboy meet a "boring yet shy heroine" and all of a sudden forgoes sex all of a sudden? He literally stops his hookups, no more strippers, nada, zilch. Why? No reason. He hasn't even touched the heroine at this point! Come on, let's at least make it a bit realistic. No one quits sex cold turkey like that, especially not someone like "playboy". Everything was rushed. Her sister's story was unrealistic, why would all those horrid things happen to Memphis but not to Billy Jean? A lot of it reminded me of a knock of version of Crystal Spears' Breakneck Series.
Winter delivers another knockout read that leaves you screaming and wanting to send Winter rude messages. An enjoyable storyline that holds you captive from start to finish, a little tie in to another series by Winter and an ending that will leave your jaw scraping the ground. Raelynn and Playboy are the definition of opposites attract, they sure do steam up your kindle.
I flipping love this author! And I love the Royal Bastards MC.....and now the two have married!! Oh happy days!! This author writes fantastic MC books with strong, alpha, protective bikers that stop at nothing to support and defend what is theirs and woman who are sassy, classy and a little badass themselves! She did not disappoint with the introduction of this Royal Bastards chapter. This is the Sacramento chapter and seemingly sweet and innocent Raelyn needs Playboy's help to find her sister. Raelyn took my heart straight away. She appears unaware of her natural beauty and the light that shines from her, but Playboy sees it and is not prepared to give it or her up. With her sister's links to the MC, the brothers are on board to help too. Raelyn and Leona (her best friend) had me laughing out loud at times. The banter between the two remind me so much of The Crazy Gang! But I was also reduced to tears, that got me unexpectedly, my heart literally hurt. This author has managed, as always to run me through a gamut of emotions whilst reading her words! Well played! Cannot wait for more from this Chapter!
5 PLAYBOY STARS!! Wow, what a way to start this new series with lots of action. Raelyn and Playboy will take you on a scenic ride through this story. Playbook is full of sex appeal and Raelyn is his opposite, but these two are perfect. I can't wait for the next book in this series.
Get ready for an out of the gate hot start to the Royal Bastards MC! Raelyn and Playboy are going to take you on quite an adventure. Opposites attract and right her is the proof! Buckle up for a ride filled with mystery, lies, danger, secrets and so much sexual tension ! Raelyn's determination is heartwarming and courageous. No matter how out of her comfort zone she finds herself she will do whatever it may take to save her sister. When Raelyn discovers that her sister is missing she finds herself on a quest for answers and right to the doorstep of the MC . She only knows the name Playboy and this is the beginning of the their journey. Playboy is the quintessential ladies man. No strings, no promises and he will certainly not be tied down to one woman. Raelyn is certainly not his usual flavor but he can't help but find her interesting, intriguing and underneath that buttoned up persona she is sweet, smart, sexy, ambitious, and faithful. They both find themselves out of their comfort zone but it is oh so much more than they each could imagined ! ~~Michele McMullen ~~
Playboy was the first book in the Royal Bastards MC series by Winter Travers. The series was a spinoff from her Kings of Vengeance MC series but could be read with full enjoyment without having read the original series.
Playboy got his name for obvious reasons and it suited him. He helped run the local strip club for the MC. Raelynn was not the typical biker babe. In fact, she was the exact opposite. But when her sister went missing she sought out Playboy to help find her. And of course opposites attract.
Although the storyline was expected, it was an enjoyable read. Travers took us through the suspense and mystery of the disappearance while demonstrating the connection between Playboy and Raelynn. It was also a great introduction into the MC characters and a good set up for the series. All in all, it was quick, entertaining and enjoyable. Six Gun is up next and I can’t wait!
Title: Playboy Author: Winter Travers Genre: Contemporary MC Romance **RECEIVED ARC FOR HONEST REVIEW** Recently I read a dark, dramatic, mysterious story by Anne Malcom titled Splinters of You, about an author who gets mixed up in murder and mayhem. There is a very poignant quote about what authors really want from a reader when it comes to an author's work: "They want you to devour it with a ravenous, violent hunger, without thoughts of what it will look like on the shelf, only the marks it will leave on your soul." Unfortunately when I read these MC books anymore it almost seems cookie cutter. Everything is insta-love or insta something and you just don't feel a real connection between the H & h. Here we have Playboy who out of the blue decides he wants different and to make this Pretty Girl his. They hang a little, very little get to know you interaction but they are in love. She is supposedly shy, bumbling, not very confident but wham suddenly she is sassy and sarcastic. Not saying it is a bad book. I liked it and read it in one sitting. I take it more as a fluff book. A book without depth until the end. It left me really wanting to know about Barracuda. I mean REALLY get to know him not just a sugarcoat story. This was still a nice steamy read.
What a helluva of a ride. Ups and downs twists and turns. This book keeps you reading from page one to the end and then you want more. Raelyn is Billie Jeans sister. When Billie Jean comes up missing Raelyn goes to clubhouse and asks for Playboy for his help. Raelyn is the essential good girl. While Playboy lives up to his name. There is love, action, humor and heartbreak in this book. Ms. Travers does it again . Great book. Highly recommend.
I think this is one of my favorite books by Winter. I just loved every minute of reading it. I can't wait to see what happens next. I loved Playboy and I really need to know what happens with the rest of the MC.
"Never in my life had I been possessive of a woman before. If one wanted to leave or didn't want me, I would just find another. With Raelyn around, there wasn't anyone else who would hold my attention. She was more than satisfying everything I wanted and all I had done was kiss her."
I neither like this read nor do I hate it. It was a nice quick read but honestly, it was all over the place.
The female character Raelyn, I feel like her character couldn't decide if she wants to be the innocent good girl or badass or dumb sometimes. I didn't know where they were going with her characters. Playboy character was pretty straight forward but it wasn't fun or interesting enough.
There were good times, funny scenes but it was average. I am so mad with that ending, that isn't a happy ending, it broke my heart. However, I am curious about the rest of the series!
"Later, pretty girl. I don't want the first time I fuck you to be in the women's bathroom at a strip club."
I didn't love this book nor did I hate it. I'm going to give a few reasons it worked for me and a few where it fell flat.
***** ✅ Playboy with all his cocky sexiness ***** ✅ the interaction amongst the brothers ***** ✅ intriguing storyline ***** ✅ tough crew that got the job done ***** ✅ Leona's craziness
***** ❎ Raelyn going from mousey, nervous and shy to a whiney, screaming annoying human. ***** ❎ a rushed storyline that needed more depth ***** ❎ the absolute and complete unbelievability that Billy Jean and Memphis were kidnapped and held for over a week with only Memphis getting raped over and over again.
I will read the next in the series because I want to know who to hate with a vengeance for what happened at the end of this book!
I seriously love a slow burn like this. Showing her bravery, Raelyn bravely enters the clubhouse of the Royal Bastards all on her own. She's on a mission to find Playboy, a man who lives up to his scandalous name, in hopes that he can help her locate her missing sister Billie Jean. Despite working at Skinz, a strip club owned by the Bastards, Billie Jean has disappeared without a trace. Remembering Billie Jean mentioning Playboy before, Raelyn turns to him for assistance - and help her he does.

I was so looking forward to the author’s contribution to the Royal Bastards and she didn’t disappoint!! As we ride with Raelyn and Playboy you get a story full of drama, suspense and chaos. Raelyn needs help finding her sister and she goes to the Royal Bastards clubhouse looking for Playboy because that’s the only name she remembers her sister mentioning. She steps into her world she knows nothing about but is willing to risk it to find her sister. Will Playboy be able to put his “sexapades” aside and help Raelyn?
Playboy is everything I love about Winter’s MC books and more. When you meet Raelyn she seems shy and out of her element because she is, but she has this determination that makes you like her from the start. There’s electricity in the air between her and Playboy that can’t be denied. I instantly knew they were going to be a favorite couple of mine. I love how honest she is and her sass and attitude makes Playboy fall for her even harder. Raelyn doesn’t have many people in her life that she loves, but her fierce loyalty and protectiveness makes her so endearing to me. You need to read this book for the lunch date, the phone call, and the Barracuda alone. I definitely wouldn’t mind being Playboy’s “pretty girl” for life. Winter, I couldn’t put this book down and that ending was like a bullet to the heart I didn’t see coming!
I love each new book from this Author. Raelyn is a great character. She is sweet but firm and loyal. Playboy is hard working and fierce and his name says enough. Helping her isn’t on the top of his list but he can’t say no. These two takes us on a journey of family, love and suspense. Excellent writing.
I see we have another fantastic series in the making with this MC. Playboy and Raelyn have the perfect combination of humor, devotion, and sass to keep life interesting, and the rest of the club will likely find their own perfect matches in some off-kilter women down the road, too.
Raelyn is desperate to figure out what happened to the most important person in her world, and if that means she has to step outside her comfort zone and hit up the local club (both strip and motorcycle) for help, she’ll do it. She just wasn’t expecting Playboy as part of the bargain. And Playboy certainly wasn’t expecting her. He can’t keep his eyes, hands, or wants away from Raelyn, so he’s all-in to help her while keeping her close by his side. Add in a crazy friend, some crazy-adjacent bikers, and a lot of humor, and we’re ready for the ride to begin!
As I’ve come to expect with this author, we also get bitter with the sweet, but that’s part of what keeps me coming back for more. She doesn’t create a happy world that never has problems; instead, she gives readers a reality that manages to blur the lines and feel just as possible as anything in a normal day. And she definitely doesn’t disappoint here. I just have to be patient to see what comes next for Sacramento.
Since I have never read any of Winters' books I have nothing to fall back on, but Playboy drew me in and kept me reading to the very end of this book. I loved this book, Playboy is an awesome read for anyone that wants a good MC story.
Playboy has no one that he loves more than his brothers. He will do anything for them. But when Raelynn comes storming in looking for her twin sister she is a lot more than he bargained for. That is what makes this story so good. Playboy is a give and take kind of story, that should be read.
Mary Sue who didn’t speak or act like a Mary Sue but was described like one - meets Playboy. That’s all. He for some absurd reason becomes a different person the moment he sets eyes on her. Love story of the century.
I really liked the main characters. Raylynn was so sassy, the exact opposite of what you think at the beginning. Playboy even being Alpha was perfect for her.
This book had all you want in an MC Romance. Can’t wait for Book 2
Pretty good start to the series & so far the best Royal Bastards MC series in the Royal Bastards MC Universe (many authors writing for the RBMC Universe are too crazy to read).
Playboy can have his pick of any woman that comes across his path. Raelynn is looking for her sister. They say opposites attract. Will Raelynn get the answers she is looking for? Will Playboy find what he didn't know he wanted?
Have to say that any book of this author's leaves me wanting more and this one was no different! I loved how once Playboy made the decision that he wanted her, he didn't stop and wasn't going to give up. I didn't blame Raelynn for struggling with everything, but loved how she embraced Playboy and what they were building. Great read and cannot wait for the next in the series!

Winter Travers gives us another phenomenal story!! A new series full of action and steaminess!! Playboy is the definition of sex on a stick! Raelyn is the good girl! Together they are unstoppable!! This book was one hell of a ride!
