Forced to the fringes, he's been content to thrive in shadows...

Years as a human guinea pig for the Unknown Identities program transformed Ben, body and mind, into the operative known as Chameleon. But one betrayal too many fractured his loyalty and now he's determined to end the program, along with the man profiting from the destruction of good men and women.

...Until he sees her.

Mirage has no memory of her past, only what she has become under the brutal care of the covert operation: spy, killer, obedient operative with skills and stamina military leaders covet. Under orders to use her unique skills to locate and trap Chameleon, she becomes fascinated by the rogue operative's ingenuity and insight. Though she doesn't want a bodyguard, she definitely needs a way out.

When Ben promises answers and a secure future on her terms, Mirage takes a blind leap, hopeful that she and Ben can survive long enough to find true freedom and the redemption only love can bring.

Due to a monster called Messenger, Ben underwent medical procedures to become super soldier. Now he and his friends and fellow guinea pigs are determined to destroy this man and his laboratory. They won't let him destroy the lives of others. Ben is invisible so he can watch their enemy and gain intelligence. I wanted them to be successful. There is one problem. Ben is attracted to one of Messenger's operatives, Mirage. I hoped that this wouldn't end in disaster. Mirage is deadly and dedicated to the cause Messenger espoused. I liked how Ben helped her realize the truth. These two make a dynamite couple. They are both honorable and caring people. Ben is a bad boy with a sense of humor. He made me smile. I had to know if the plan to destroy the man in the gray suit would be successful. I enjoy the writing of Regan Black. She creates characters that I care about and situations that keep me on the edge of my seat. I enjoyed seeing characters from previous books in this series. I'm enjoying Unknown Identities.
I received a copy of this book which I voluntarily read and reviewed. My comments are my honest opinion.

Yay!! I have been eagerly awaiting Ben’s story. Poor guy has literally been hiding in plain sight through the previous books.

Ben aways hated being the Chameleon. He is determined to rid the world of UI and he is starting to get a bit...twitchy. He's about to go Lone Wolf on John and the rest of the team. But John is seeming more attuned with his friend than Ben thought and manages to get him to promise to come to Montana for the baby's birthday. He knows Ben would never hurt Amelia but not attending. Sneaky, Sneaky John!

During his recon, he has recognised that Mirage is the most likely UI candidate to turn. He takes up observations and can see the minute changes in her responses to Messenger's orders. During his invisble trips inside the compounds, he sees her manipulate what she says to that she isn't technically lying to her so-called boss, but not giving him everything he wants either.

Mirage remembers nothing of her previous life, she only knows what she has been told, but can she trust what she's been told.

Loved it, loved it, loved it. The invisble man meets his match in a woman who can reflect what you want to see, with the added bonus of the ability to see his "heat signature"! Well written, well paced, engaging characters and a chance to reconnect with some of my UI "family"!

It’s been quite a journey but well worth the trip. It’s fitting that this is Ben’s story. He deserves his HEA, and Mirage is a fitting counterpoint to Chameleon. Mirage is Messenger’s best hope of finding and capturing Chameleon, but they’re both in for a surprise. Chameleon has been plotting his own plan to not only take down Messenger and the UI program, but to see if what he suspects is true – Mirage isn’t as indoctrinated into the program as Messenger believes.

This is another fast-paced, action packed and intriguing adventure into the UI world. We’ve gotten to know Ben along the way and even better in this well-drawn tale. Mirage is “a woman who can be anything anyone wants to see”; the perfect foil for “an invisible man.” Their story fits perfectly into the series. Each story has its own intense and compelling storyline. The characters are well written and integrate seamlessly throughout. You will find the books hard to put down, with easy flow, full of action, strong emotions, and solid characterizations. I highly recommend you not only read this story but the whole series!

The Chameleon (Ben) is a covert operative with enhancements that make him invisible. He has worked for the Director of the enhanced operatives program that has been around for years. Once funded by the Feds, the director of the program has now gone rogue and, is selling enhanced 'soldiers' and serums to the highest bidder. Chameleon and his friends, who have also managed to escape this monster, are determined to take him and his company down.
Mirage (Gina) is the Director's newest plaything who can see heat signatures so, he sends her out to find and take down Chameleon.
There is something about this man that intrigues her and, the feeling is mutual.
These two do whatever it takes to bring this lunatic and his lab down, whether they survive or not.
Problem is that they must survive in order to thrive and, see where this powerful pull toward each other takes them!
This was a Freaking Fantastic Read!!!
You will not want to put it down!!!

This is Ben, the invisible man's story. He is on the hunt to stop the man in the gray suit from ruining any more lives with his covert operations. When his newest recruit is sent to trap and capture Chameleon (Ben), she is surprised at what he is really like. While he finally talks her into leaving the Unknown Identities program, will they be able to survive to enjoy real freedom. Another great book in this series.

Mirage (Unknown Identities Series)
Regan Black

What would it be like to be invisible? This is what. Ben lives like everyday. He is trying to take down Messenger who made him that way. Hoping Mirage will want to join forces with him and help him destroy this warped person, he plays a game of cat and mouse with her. He prays it doesn’t backfire on him.
Another great story in the series that had me reading it in one day.

Good read

Ben had been watching Mirage for a while. He thought she was sexy and smart. When he finally made contact she was very interesting. He wanted her to quit the agency, she believed her boss that he was crazy. But after a few kisses she went 360 degrees and was on his side. She wanted to help Ben, but wasn't sure how.

A well-written plot with suspense and surprises. Mirage, aka Gina, and Ben, aka Chameleon, have a great connection. They have to find a way to trust each other and work together to put an end to research on humans. I loved the story.

Ben aka chameleon is determined to take down the man in the gray suit, to prevent him from altering others lives. Mirage is the one distraction he didn't account for but maybe he can convince her to help him. This action packed story will have you eagerly turning the pages until the end.

I’ve been waiting for this one! I have always liked Ben and was excited for him to meet his match. Mirage/Gina is a great match for him. I liked their romance and the way the story lines were wrapped up. Great end to the series!
