Tav and his allies have a new and unwelcome neighbor: a rogue unit of murderous National Guard who intend to take control of the area, its resources, and its people for themselves. Assaulting even a small military base is no mean feat, so Tav will have to train his girls to be weapons of war in addition to just survivors.
The Guard are unable to live in peace, so Tav must prepare for war.
I’ve been reading steadily through all “5” books and decided to review all of them simultaneously. From the beginning until this point the author has put together a realistic supposition to what civilians can expect to endure should events lead to an apocalyptic existence. The main character “Tav” decided to spend a year in seclusion roaming the mountains after a very fruitful military career as a US Army Ranger. Upon ending his seclusion he re-enters civilization only to find chaos. Through the entirety of 5-volumes Tav trains and builds a small squad of women and endeavors to help civilians and fight the evils thrust upon them. There are numerous encounters, countless situations, great bits of banter and some real feel good moments. How all this occurs is painstakingly worked out from volume to volume. Yes, adult situations abound but if they’re offensive one can easily skip them and lose little in doing so. This tale is rich, factual in it’s conception, and entertaining in it’s telling. Eric Vall has a real talent for making the reader feel as if he’s right in the middle. Loved the series and can’t wait for more.
This series is such a treat- a guilty pleasure but very well written and grounded. Its vibe is so addictive, like a cramping trip out in the wilds with friends, with just the right amount of apocalypse action and erotica elements to keep things entertaining. I’ve recently been binging a lot of litrpgs/fantasy/harem novels and this is the one I keep coming back to, everytime I need a break from the rest or simply to recover from a bad read 😅 Book 5 is as solid as the previous ones. Definitely reading through the whole thing.
Starting this series, I was a bit reluctant as compared to other series written by Eric Vall the pacing was a bit slow. But as I've gotten further into the series it has gotten better and better! The 5th book allows us to get a better image of what is going on in the world and of the land around the campus, and a few more answers to what started it all.
This series is amazing I felt like I was right there in on the action with each and everyone of the characters. The level of description really lets the reader get into the story and the blend of action adventure with romance helps the reader not get burnt out on the story. I have to say Tav and his team are definitely one of my favorite sets of characters written by Eric so far.
I have a real love and hate relationship with this series. The potential and the fact that a lot of it is told from Tav's POV is what ultimately has me returning. My specific beef is with Tara's personality. I mean, I get it that I might not be the target audience of the author because this seems wholly written by a man for men. I have no problem with a woman having a strong sex drive but some of the scenes while going into battle and during it were ridiculous.
Reading through the available series of 1 - 9 one after another in one go. With the read, the character evolve, the area they are at expand and the reason for the “apocalypse” are hinted at bit by bit with some clues. Enjoyed the series and will continue on when new books are available.
This is an excellent story so far. I've read the first five books straight through. The characters are interesting, and the plot is engaging. I encourage you to give it a try.
Nothing bad here, but nothing new or exciting. The last two books have felt like just more of the same. The story of the characters need to evolve to keep up attention.
The way they make themselves believe that they are the hero, but they are actually just vigilantes. They say that they couldn't take in people to protect them, but with the fact that they are actually building a real place to live they could start taking in people. That would actually help people.
Really, you go from barely getting your group through. To becoming Rambo and wanting to save every Tom dick and hairy. This story gets worse as I keep reading the books.
Great book damn things are getting crazy I couldn't even imagine you could do facing those kind of numbers I'm excited to see how he resolves the problem
Finally take out the National Guard outpost and rescue the civilians. Then the National Guard camp and Canadas crossing the border become new threads, what’s going on?Expecting

Number five in this series, and if you are just now tuning in you need to go to the beginning and read them in order. If you like action and suspense you wont be disappointed. Tav, an ex Army ranger, has trained four college girls for combat in a post EMP world. Their experiences fighting motorcycle gangs and rogue National Guard troops while rescuing people from their captors makes for a series worth reading. I'm waiting for book six to see what happens next.
This series is truly a lot of fun. The story arc is slowly ramping up with hints of bigger things. Good news is more room for books. And more girls?? However what I don't see is any endgame that is good yet. We are at the strong defense (offfense) but only on small scale. The group needs more resources. People and stuff, tech, or toys. If they are suppose to survive long term they need to have more. Looking forward to more.
Trying to servive after an apocalypse is difficult, but trusting the military to help can be just as dangerous. Tav and his team save some civilians from a group of AWOL National Guards, but find out that the bigger picture is much worse than they can even imagine. As fun and exciting as this book is, the ending is worrying. I'm looking forward to seeing how the team tries to save the world while saving their new friends and themselves.
One of my favourite series at the moment, the tale is getting more complex as the situation slowly escalates on the college group as they defend the local area from rogue soldiers, rescue civilians and find the situation is more dire than they expected. I plan to enjoy the next book when it’s released. Keep up the good story Eric.
These books keep getting better and better as the story develops. I really like how even as more characters are introduced the main group doesn't change much, allowing you to become invested in what they are doing to survive. Really looking forward to finding out what happens next!
What is the next possible threat we could encounter after the world ends? This is a natural progression of what a post-EMP America would be like, and Lord of the Flies is a real deal - except the MC can kill the bad guys with ease, and the girls are super hot and deadly too. Don’t miss out on this fun ride!
Tav, his girls and Rolly fight against corrupted National Guard and save the civilians held captive. Eric's writing gets better with each book in the series. The action is realistic and the relationships continue to grow. Well worth a read, can't wait for the next book.
Tab an the girls have built a good community but the danger of the National Guard camps and their devolution into slavery and problems pressing in from the North are becoming increasingly worrisome. This is an interesting series posing realistic post-apocalyptic problems. Oh and some good sex tossed in for good measure! Enjoy!
So the title really says it all, I wanted another Without Law and I got it. It is a great continuation of what happened in the last book and it had some really amazing, dynamic action. If I had to complain about anything it would be that I had to wait to long for it. So people, chop chop, we need 100 reviews for Eric to get us a new one.
This is a great series, it truly shines above others in the survivalist genre. It's thoroughly entertaining well written with an incredible cast of characters! You would do yourself a service to pick it up!
This has been an enjoyable read so far, the only thing I felt was lacking was a good plot driving the story for the setting and characters. Now there are hints of a developing plot so look forward to more.
This was another great edition to the series. I really like the character progression. We get to find out more of the girls background and meet more new characters.
This was def9my least favorite book in the series this far. For some reason the story just did not have the normal exciting pacing and flow that was a hallmark of the previous books.
Brought good points not sure all the military should be Counted as the bad guys. This b end of world story does bring up a good point. What happens with out neighbors Canada and Mexico when the USA falls
This was the best yet in this series. I am anxiously awaiting the next book. Thank you Eric, for the wonderful hours I have spent reading your wonderful books. You ROCK!!!
Good book great story, enjoy the storyline. The book was good like the other four. Well written ready to read the next book. I hope he continues to write more books very good storyteller. Enjoy the outcome of the books.
