The Memory Thieves: How to Help a Loved One with Dementia, without Losing Your Mind

Rate this book
Come along on a positive, uplifting, sometimes sad, often even humorous family journey with Alzheimer's. Follow Mom through more than a decade of advancing dementia, through her last inspiring moments. Most of us will deal with dementia, with ourselves or a loved one, at some point in our lives. This book examines the process with hope, love, faith, and even some laughter along the way. The family dynamic changes, but with love and dedication, the family survives. From the author of LOVE ALWAYS and LAST FLIGHT OF THE GREY GEESE, THE MEMORY THIEVES takes Mom though her final journey back to Dad, the love of her life.

Just finished this book in less than 24 hours. Had to wait an hour or 2 to write this review because I was sobbing. It was so open and honest about being a caregiver for your parent. Diane Ryder, you did an amazing job telling this story. Thank you for sharing your experience to help others.
