Okay so it’s not like I read EVERY word there in the last couple chapters, but it was pretty darn close and besides, the amount that I did read basically equals like 4 normal books, so we are counting it, baby

I read this book cover to cover for the Series 65 exam. While there is a lot of useful knowledge in regards to the financial industry and markets, there was too much material included that didn’t apply to the exam prep questions and actual exam questions. It took a long time to get through the 24 chapters in this book and when it was all said and done only about half of the information felt like testable material. But that being said, I did pass the exam and know many others that did using Kaplan, so there definitely is merit behind this book and review program.

Well I passed! The Kaplan program was fine and had a large test bank of questions, around 4200. However, the questions were worded differently on the exam. I went in to exam fairly confident and was deeply concerned about failing while taking it due to how different the exam felt to kaplans material. I'm not sure I'd use Kaplan again but hey, then again it was a pass! I'd recommend overstudying for sure!

I spent more time with this book over the past few months than I spent with my family. It was helpful in passing the Series 65, giving me a thorough knowledge of every possible testable topic. But I can't pretend to be sad about kicking it to the curb and enjoying my husband, kids and pleasure reading instead.

This is a comprehensive study plan for preparing for the exam. However, practice questions are essential to learn the style of questions given on the exam. Achievable.me provides a nice set of practice questions and exams to compliment this book.

It is what it is. A significantly better read then the SIE or the insurance licensing materials, the first quarter is a slough though.
