The immortal knight, Richard of Ashbury, battles the Spanish Armada with the pirate Sir Francis Drake.
AD 1568, England.
When an immortal assassin attacks Queen Elizabeth I, Richard must follow the trail to the New World to save England from a war it cannot win.
While Richard finds an unlikely ally in the pirate Francis Drake and voyages across the seas to hunt vampires on the Spanish Main, the agents of William de Ferrers work to subvert the English Crown.
Immortals have infiltrated the Spanish Inquisition and the Jesuits and all that stands between them and England are Walsingham's spies and the Order of the White Dagger.
To defeat his enemies, Richard must overcome tropical hurricanes, trek through the pestilential jungles of Panama and resort to pirate raids on the high seas in pursuit of mountains of treasure.
But all is not what it seems in the New World, and in a Europe torn apart by the wars of religion, Richard does not know who to trust.
The forces of evil are gathering.
If Richard cannot stop his enemies in time, all will be lost to the vampire armada.

I write action-packed sci-fi and historical fantasy. I want to immerse readers in another time and place and for my stories to be gripping adventures. You should love my complex heroes and hate the twisted bad guys.
If you like the sound of that then check out; GODS OF BRONZE (my new historical fantasy series), THE IMMORTAL KNIGHT CHRONICLES (bestselling historical fantasy) and the GALACTIC ARENA series (smart military scifi).

Damn that William. Once again Richard and his friends try to track down William and his Immortals to finish them off for good. A great book with wonderful characters.
Dan Davis' rich depictions of centuries of history throughout the world, from England to the Middle East to Eastern Europe back to England, has thrilled me from the very beginning of this series and continues to do so here! Besides the amazing action, historical depictions, characters and intrigue, there continues to be the (in my opinion) utterly unique vampire universe that Davis has set up. Definitely recommend this to everyone who loves vampires, history or both! Can't wait to continue on with the series :)
This series has really gripped me from the first book and it just keeps getting better. It's a excellent history adventure the Author does some excellent writing and research. It's not often u get a main character that flawed they are normally perfect... not Richard Ashbury he tried his best to do the right thing but really hes a bit of a dick... in the best way
This series keeps getting better and better. A rollercoaster ride with our heroes chasing down William and his immortal followers, this time part of the infamous Spanish Armada. I want to say something else but I don't want to ruin the ending. If you've read the previous novels, you will surely enjoy this. If you haven't, then start with the first. You can thank me later.
Hi there, I hope you like this story. It should be an enjoyable and exciting read, with exotic locations, big historical characters and tons of action.
The stories in this series take place over centuries and with each book I try to capture a sense of the era through characters, technology, military tactics and weapons, social changes, food and clothing and language.
The late 16th century was a time of considerable religious and ethnic intolerance and my intention was to authentically show historical attitudes without spoiling the narrative. I hope I have done that.
Above all, I want these stories to transport readers to another time and place and to have an entertaining and fun experience. There is, I hope, more depth to be found also but I don't want anything to get in the way of a good story.
A slightly different take on The Spanish Armada! You get to see a new friendship grow with Francis Drake and the adventures they have leading up to and including the Armada. A fascinating tale and look back into Elizabethan England you won't be disappointed.
Another fine book in the series. This book had everything that we have come to love in this series. It was a fast pace action filled ride. Get his books and leave your reviews.
Amazing!! One of my favorites so far & I am in denial that there is only one more left. I will say though, when I thought that Walt was dead.. I wanted to throw my kindle and cry, he is my favorite character but then he comes back and he and Goodie get MARRIED! The love story❤️

I have not been so deeply immersed in the Age of Sail since playing SID MEIER'S PIRATES! on my Commodore 64 back in 1987. I loved this story. It was truly an enjoyable and exciting read. Dan Davis came through big with exotic locations, celebrated historical characters, and plenty of action.
In this seventh installment of the Immortal Knight Chronicles, Davis has infused the fantasy of Richard Ashbury's vampire world into the biography of Sir Francis Drake. The result is a cloak-and-dagger spy thriller combined with an action packed naval adventure. The worlds of fiction and historic reality are so well interwoven that I actually Googled a vampire character to find out more about him. I never did find any information on Lorenzo de la Vega. Nice job, Dan. You fooled me that time.
As with all the stories in this series, Davis has captured a sense of each era through characters, technology, military tactics and weapons, social changes, food and clothing and language.
In this episode we are transported to the late 16th century. The story starts with a bang when Richard foils an immortal assassin's attack on Queen Elizabeth I and ends with a fiery explosion when a shot from Sir Francis's ship finds its way to a Spanish galleon's powder magazine.
Reading this book was an entertaining and enjoyable experience from beginning to end.
