“Divinity in all mankind”? Devil-inity is more like it. Since, in more en-“light”-ened times, little Martha would have been burned at the stake. A great story, but only the most non-superstitious and scientifically minded can ascent to its very real possibility.

Genuinely quite sweet, with an eerie undertone. I am really enjoying Counselman's cozy weird/cozy horror vibes.
