I liked that this book was quick and easy and gave you some information about how your body works and how ACV helps you. I followed along with her facebook group while doing the cleanse as well. I didn't necessarily like how the food plans were just lists of food and not necessarily how to eat them- I'm not a canned spinach person so having some ideas on what to do with that in relation to the other foods for that day would have been helpful. I did enjoy the salads and the fat flush soup. I also saw great results and didn't feel hungry except for the last two days when the caloric intake was viewed further. I lost 10 pounds and have been able to keep it off by maintaining a better diet than before doing the cleanse.
I like the concept of this book. I am currently starting my first cleanse. I don't have much to lose weight-wise. I just want to be healthier. The reason I am rating it 3 stars is that it's main points were repeated over and over, and some of the points weren't that clear. That part bugged me. It was a fast read, and I will definitely complete this cleanse, perhaps many times. So I do recommend checking out this ACV cleanse. But I found myself checking the page # I was currently on, thinking that I ended up on a page that I had already read, due to information being repeated. Worth a read for health reasons, regardless.
It is informative and broken into easy, doable steps without blowing smoke up your dress about how easy it is. She states it is work and lists the pros and cons clearly. It also isn’t filled with a ton of experience ingredients or equipment. Most people could afford this. There are suggested supplements that can help but aren’t required. The recipes in the back for when you break the fast look good. I’ve made variations of a few with no complaints from kids. The last chapter will be a plus for those not familiar with ACV’s many uses, but it was nice to see a few new to me uses. It would have been a five star review if it was a little less like an infomercial you read.
This contains a lot of health benefits of apple cider vinegar. It has the directions for the cleanse as well as recipes for eating and other uses in ailments and household cleaning. For those who hear about the benefits of apple cider vinegar as a tonic, they will find plenty of beginner info in this book.
I should start by saying I think apple cider vinegar is great for you, and drinking two tablespoons of it in a glass of water helps with a lot.
And yet somehow JJ Smith wrote a book about ACV and filled it with misinformation.
I'm honestly surprised I continued reading after the very first page of the introduction, which is replete with glowing reviews that she tells us about herself. Ick.
But even if we get past her ego, there is just so much wrong in this book, and I'm guessing that's why she didn't cite a single source for all of the "studies" to which she alludes. What's more bizarre is that underneath her major points are facts that *have* been proven.
If this were a play, it'd be like all of the major characters were liars, and the only ones who told the truth were the minor characters.
With all that *was* true, this could have been a pamphlet. But no, JJ Smith made sure to repeat the information over and over and over again.
As far as the testimonial section.... I mean, if you had people switch from eating the Standard American Diet for a week to drinking only water, ACV, coffee, and green tea, and eating homemade meals, with no sugar, *and* intermittent fasting, of COURSE they'll lose weight!
So, I am pretty sure I did something wrong. I didn't lose 15 pounds but I did lose a few pounds, which I guess is a start! In, 7-Day Apple Cider Vinegar Cleanse: Lose Up to 15 Pounds in 7 Days and Turn Your Body into a Fat-Burning Machine (that's a mouth full) JJ Smith is at it again changing lives by getting people to examine what they are doing in their weight burning lives and doing something new and different. I had seen the Apple Cider Vinegar in my pantry at home before and had even thrown some out back in the day because I thought it had gone bad. My wife asked, "who threw out the ACV", I didn't know what that was, so she explained what it looked like and I said I had because it went bad and she said the frothy look was normal, it was the mother, and I said, "what did you say about my momma?" Anyway, I had little idea of the health benefits and this book all these years later was eye opening. A very fast read that was insightful and informative, kind of lost me a little on the testimonials but overall was a good start towards trying to shed a few pounds before beach season. I hope where ever you are in your weight loss journey you keep trekking and if weight loss ain't your thing there are other health benefits to the ACV, check it out and find out. A let's hope it works quick read. I've heard about apple cider vinegar being a miracle drink to help the weight loss process and I've taken a spoonful in the mornings but obviously not followed a restricted diet that didn't lead to any great results. The book went in depth into the properties of apple cider vinegar, cleansing the body through cleaning the liver and preventing bloating. Intermittent fasting was also explained to reveal the benefits it has in disciplining the body to eat at set times and the healthy foods that should be eaten to complement further weight loss. When followed correctly ketosis would be tapped into and further fat burning would ensue. Using myself as a guinea pig, I'm looking forward to seeing if the cleanse works and if I can sustain it for 7 days!

This book is more than just a 7-day cleanse. It is filled with tips, resources, vitamins, meal plans, and more. I highly recommend this book to anyone wanting to live a healthier life.
This book is quite informative. I am grateful for the information in this book and the suggested implementations. The information is vast and covers a wide spectrum of uses for apple cider vinegar with the mother.
I wanted to read the entire book before I tried this cleanse. I'm a research guru and it bothered me that J.J. kept referring to "studies", yet she never provided any real data to back her claims: number of people studied, the year of the study, funding, etc.. Which led me to believe that none of these "studies" were real. So I tried it anyway. I lost five pounds, only because I was consuming 800 calories for three days. A waste of time.
