This author is honestly becoming a one click for me, she’s keeping me going waiting for Alexa Riley to come back. Especially as Amazon banned it for what I have no idea.

When Hallow’s mum married Gage four years ago she wasn’t exactly happy about but as the years have passed she’s grown to love him, he protects her from her mothers verbal tongue lashes on a daily basis so when she announces she’s leaving Hallow isn’t what you’d call sad. But now it’s just the two of them can she continue to pretend that what she feels for him is anything but love?

Gage married Tracey four years ago but his feelings changed when he saw how she Mistreated her daughter Hallow, he’s done all he can to protect her over the years but since she turned eighteen his feelings changed and what he’s feeling is anything but fatherly. But when Tracey leaves he knows there is only one thing he wants and that’s Hallow. Will she want him and can she love him?

Ok so there was definitely an element of cheating in this one and normally that would have had me passing on this book but there was something about Hallow and Gage that caught me, plus her mother was an evil horrendous character. Very short, slightly taboo and has a lovely epilogue.

This book had me wishing it wasn’t so short. I would have enjoyed getting to know the characters a bit more. It was definitely a hot one, in the beginning, I had mixed feelings about their relationship but once it got to the end I was all for it. The author didn’t skip any dirty details. It was a short but hot read.

This a short an steamy read and quite enjoyable I love all things taboo and this little story is fabulous

Gage is Hallow’s step dad he’s the ultimate alpha male and he will stop at nothing to protect Hallow from her mum Gage wants Hallow just as much as Hallow wants him which is strictly forbidden he is her step dad and she’s his step daughter how can they ever be together?

I loved the innocence of Hallow and I loved how protective Gage was of her

Forbidden & Naughty

You better be ok with the forbidden, Insta love, steam that the title of this book suggests. It's a very quick read filled from the front to back with hotness and an HEA.

Wanting Her Stepdad by Sadie Barron was a well-written taboo romance. Hallow's mother Tracey verbally abuses her and leaves her when she turns 18. Hallow's stepdad, Gage, stays with her, knowing that Tracey treats Hallow badly. He cares for Hallow, not his wife, whom he is planning on divorcing. Hallow has had a crush on Gage since she turned 18. He protects her and helps her when her mom doesn't. Tracey leaves and then it's just Hallow and Gage. The sexual tension was great. Hallow and Gage got together within the first half of the book, but there are lots of scenes with them and their forbidden lust. The forbidden aspect of their relationship was mentioned more between Gage and Hallow, but isn't too big of an issue. Tracey is the biggest issue they have to deal with. I really liked Gage and Hallow and their relationship. Hallow has to work through her insecurities, which her mom has continually put in her head. The book was short and sweet, with lots of steamy scenes. I definitely recommend if you want a great short, taboo, erotic read.

“Wanting Her Stepdad” is a deliciously naughty forbidden romance read. Hallow finds herself at the receiving end of unwanted and unnecessary criticism from her mom. The only light at the end of the tunnel is her stepdad Gage. Gage wants out of his marriage but sticks around to protect Hallow. The two are undeniably attracted to one another and when they find themselves on the same page they give in to their feelings and get their much deserved happily ever after. Short, sexy read!

Hallow's mother got remarried four years ago to Gage, a handsome biker that stands up for Hallow when her mother yells at her. When Hallow's mom decides she's had enough a few months after Hallow turns eighteen, she leaves. Hallow has been dreaming of Gage ever since she turned eighteen and she thinks it's wrong, but when Gage returns her affections all bets are off. This is a wonderful read and I highly recommend it!

Short, sweet and sexy! That’s what you will get here and won’t be disappointed. Forbidden and taboo but so so hot! I couldn’t put it down. Gage and Hallow are explosive together and as much as they try and fight their attraction to each other, it's inevitable. Even if it's taboo or forbidden and their age gap, they can't help but love each other. Gage's protectiveness had me swooning.

I went into this free book from Voracious Readers picturing steamy, no-strings attached sex and some "Daddy" dirty talk - I'll put aside that this is a barely legal, cliched, never been kissed untouched girl who's not-her-real-hot AF-dad took advantage of her when she was at her most vulnerable due to her abusive mom.

First the sex. I'm sorry, but how are lines like: "meaty thickness, swollen with veins" supposed to be sexy? I've seen better love scenes in fan fictions. Also, the acrobatics involved during the prerequisite 69 scene were more laughable than lusty - you'd have to be a contortionist to pull that off! Just... No.

Second - what was wrong with this just being an apologetic smut story? Why was there a ridiculous need to make it a sappy love story? It was so forced and unneeded and seemed to be there to justify the incest angle - unnecessary as the book already gave away the plot and the reader knew what they were getting into. This is clearly not for the morally pious folks. Also, since Gage knew the virginal Hallow (don't even get me started on the name!) since she 14 and claimed he WAS IN LOVE WITH HER for a long time just makes it squeamish. I believe that's called... GROOMING.

The trite HEA was pure gag me with a bulldozer. I am bewildered about why this book was rated so high - perhaps it's the mommy porn lovers from the 50 Shades crowd, but I will also acknowledge that despite the faults with that series.... at least those love scenes were better.

1 star seems harsh but there's no lower grade I can give it.

I received a copy of "Wanting her Stepdad" from Veracious Readers in exchange for an honest review. Firstly, I must say take all of your ideas of what a relationship between a stepfather and a stepdaughter should be and toss them aside. Instead, look at the story from a different perspective. Look at it as a love story between two people. Forget the fact that Hallow is only eighteen and that her stepfather Gage is nearly twenty years her senior. If you put these factors aside, "Wanting her Stepdad" is a good book. Although it's a quick book at only forty-nine pages it's still really quite good.

Hallow is an eighteen year old high school student living at home with her mother Tracey and her stepfather Gage. Her relationship with her mother is very strained as her mother is disrespectful towards her and very demaining. Tracey then decides that she has had enough and she leaves behind her daughter Hallow and her husband Gage as she embarks on her own personal interests.

Now that mom is out of the picture, Hallow and Gage are free to pursue their emotions and desires towards one another. "Wanting her Stepdad" is a steamy page-turner that eventually blossoms into a beautiful romance between the two and we see Hallow start to come to terms with who she is and how she wants to live her life. 

I did enjoy this book and I wish it was longer as I would have really enjoyed seeing the relationship grow between Hallow and Gage even further. If you enjoy hot, sexy romances, "Wanting her Stepdad" is a must read.

This is a short story that is very taboo, but enjoyable. My first time reading Sadie Barron’s writing.
This story will have you hooked. Hallow’s mom Tracey meets Gage and brings him home and they get married. Hallow is Tracey’s teenage daughter and she gets the protection of Gage whenever her and her mom get into it. Hallow is now 18, her mom has been married to Gage for four years and things aren’t going that good. Tracey has let herself go, she has gained weight and dresses in baggy clothing and she’s always trying to make her daughter feel bad with her verbal abuse.
Tracey decides she no longer wants to be a wife or a mother and leaves her daughter with her stepdad, not realizing that the two have an attraction that won’t be stopped.
I really enjoyed reading this book. I just wish that it was a little longer or that it was a series. Sadie Barron is a wonderful author.

A pleasant though predictable tale of a daughter unloved and unwanted by her mother who finds herself left with her 35 year old stepfather (at the age of almost 18) after her mother, tired of being a parent takes off. After turning 18, the daughter and step father find they've both been hiding feelings for each other.
Very simplistic writing makes this an easy read (less than an hour) with no great thinking needed but don't expect a great story. There is no character growth or plot twists. It is simy a nice easy if sometimes slightly raunchy relaxing read

Fabulous writing style but the plot was as short as the book itself. I would have liked to have seen more character development between the characters which formed their paths. Some of the questions I'd like to have seen answers to were; How did a woman like Tracey manage to remarry being the way she is? Was she always cruel to her daughter or did something bring about her behaviour? What were the meetings like? What changed in the family dynamic to go from platonic to lover? What was the family dynamic after Tracey left? How did that dynamic change when the babies came along? What were the ways they overcame how people perceived their relationships?

I love this book, I just wish it wasn't that short though. I see that this book was banned from Amazon I don't know why but it was pretty good. One thing for sure though it was "taboo" but I wanted to read it and see what the story takes me and I thought it was pretty good. It has this story even though it has the cheating element to it, I think it was something that was bound to happen in the story because of how her mom was treating her and how he was protecting her. It was not so good circumstances between all three involved but it was such a good read I can't even put it down. I just hope it's not so short.

not sure why you would want to be with some one who was once in a relationship with your mum, but guess you cant pick who you are attracted too.
not really a fan of the idea of inexperienced virgins having mind blowing sex and orgasms a plenty with their first time, does not seem realistic but realism is not the point of these stories.
if you like it fast and dirty a virgin heroine calling her partner daddy this one could be for you.

Very short, but attention keeping read. Mom is a horrible, self absorbed person. The daughter just turned 18 and mom, who had her when she was a teen, is tired of being a mom and belittles her for every little thing. The hero stepdad steps up and stops the abuse causing the mom to decide it is time to leave and get on with her own life with no child involved. Teen and stepdad are in love and it doesn’t take long for them to become a couple, tumble into bed together, get married, and have a baby of their own. Happy ending for all (except maybe the mom). Hallow has a pretty horrible relationship with her mom, she is not very nice. Gage is always there to defend her. Once she turned 18 Hallow began to have some adult thoughts, she knew she shouldn't. Gage has begun to notice Hallow more since she turned 18, and he knows he should't. What happens when Mom leaves and it is just the two of them now?


This was a quick read. I did enjoy the steamy parts. The story-line is pretty strait forward. If you enjoy stepdad books this would be one you should check out. I did love the protective aspect. Also everyone is of age.

Know what you are getting:
This HOT, feel-good quickie has lots of sexy fun times and an OTT adorable HEA.

This is not a long story but the author does an amazing job of filling in all the gaps so that it is not full of holes while also not rushing too much.

I felt that the author had the ability to convey some depth to the personalities of the characters, despite the length of the book, bringing a greater sense of reality to her story.

He protects her and then some

I was not sure what to expect when I picked up Wanting Her Stepdad based on the books description. But I figured the story could go one of two ways - sleezy and gross or deeply delicious. What the author was able to do was more of the side of deliciously taboo in this fast-paced, drama and way hot sexually novella.

If you're looking for an easy, sexy, or steamy romance, then this book is perfect for you! This book was very short, which is a plus when you don't have time to read much. It isn't very well written and the plot isn't the most complex, but I don't think anyone reading these books is really looking for lierary prowess... It completely fulfilled my exportations, and by that I mean it was very sexy... I had fun reading this book, and I would reccomend it!

The relationship between Hallow and Gage was both stimulating and beautiful. The erotic scenes were amazing and incredibly steamy. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes short, slightly taboo eroticas.

Barron's writing was addictive. Once I started this book, I couldn't put it down. I had to see it to conclusion. The only thing I wish it had been a slower rise. I wanted to see more, invest in the characters more, understand them more. Understanding that this is really a novella, it has the potential to be a full length novel. I would read more of Barron's work.

Honestly it was pretty cringe worthy. But if your into that sort of relationship described in the book than you’d probably like it.

Ok read. I thought it would have more of a taboo element to the sexy times but it was pretty tame. Not sure why it was banned from amazon since the heroine is 18 when the book starts and nothing inappropriate happens when she is a kid. The hero has only been her stepdad for a few years.
