Book one - Brooks
4.5 Gold Stars 🌟
Brooks is the first in the Gold Team series by Riley. I admit I haven’t read the red team yet which is on my list, so I’m coming in the reverse side to this series but that’s ok....I’m reading this series first because I know there is another Gold Team book scheduled for in a few months and I’m hoping to read them all before it comes out😁
Brooks is a part of Gold Team and when they meet Tatiana for the first time, Brooks is immediately attracted to the feisty and sexy lady😜 However, Tatiana comes with some baggage but Brooks is happy to cut through and show her her worth😍 Keen to find out what happens next in Mexico with Thad❣️
Book two - Thad
Thaddeus and Emerson😍
This couple is the next on the Gold Team to find their way to each other...but in this case it’s a second chance romance and it’s fraught with danger😢 Not only are they fighting against underground dog fighting rings, they are also fighting against human traffickers and a large powerful organisation❣️
This story was fantastic even though the issues they are fighting are well and truly devastating😭 I’m looking forward to reading the rest of the guys stories as I gear up for Declan which comes out in July and features him and Emerson’s sister, Autumn 🍂
Book three - Kyle

Anaya is eager to return to Timor-Lest in her quest to save girls being sold into servitude or being married off at a VERY young age😢 Ace secures her a meeting with Dec and Kyle from the Gold Team and set off on their dangerous mission. However, Omni is closing in and so is intel on Harry - the sex trafficker they are trying to nail.
Lots of action in this story, but also a story of a woman who comes into her own with a man who loves her, deep to his soul😍 Keen to find out more about Max and find some peace for poor Declan❣️

I have read (and own) each of the books in this series, so far, and I love every one of them. Edwards’ Gold Team series is fabulous and I absolutely love her writing style. She puts so much heart into her characters and her series that your emotions might not survive. There is no way to read her books and not get involved with the characters or even shed a tear. ALL. THE. FEELS!!
Brooks
Wow! So many twists, turns and secrets exposed it was hard to keep up with it all but I was frantically flipping pages doing my best to do so. Edwards certainly takes us on a crazy ride with Brooks, book one in her new Gold Team series. The deeper you delve into the book, the more exciting it becomes. This is a constant action-packed, suspenseful read full of great characters and an intense storyline that will keep you glued to the pages. Two strong-willed, strong-minded kick-butt characters face off against multiple enemies, as well as their desire for each other, with a determined team at their backs and face several conspiracies and life and death situations trying to discover the truth behind the lies.
Thaddeus
Man, oh man this book! Explosive, riveting, absorbing, emotional...just a few words to describe this amazing read. It will tie you in knots, have you holding your breath, gritting your teeth, sniffling, laughing, and cheering on the team from the start. I was so engrossed in this story from the beginning I could not put it down until I finished.
After getting over the tremendous shock of seeing each other again after so many years, Thaddeus and Emmerson have some hard truths to face concerning their past and present. It does not help that neither wants to be in the same room nor do they want to have to work together or deal with the emotional upheaval their unresolved issues are revealing. But for the sake of the op and their safety they have to come to terms with each other and work together in order to survive the dangers they face.
This book is terrific and has everything you could ask for in a romantic suspense read. It is full of non-stop action, twists and turns, protective alpha men, strong women, and combustible chemistry. There is also plenty of drama, suspense, witty banter, sass, and gut-wrenching emotions. A must read!
Kyle
Kyle’s story was just as great as the others in the series and I had a hard time putting it down. The story was engaging from the start, the characters interesting and the storyline gripping. Edwards always does a great job of bringing her characters to life and making them feel real. I always enjoy the easy banter and camaraderie between the men on the team, their women, and their strong bonds of brotherhood and family. As on par with Edwards’ other books in the Gold Team series, the suspense, action, angst, emotional turmoil, romance, and character development are strong and plausible and there are a few unsuspecting turns of events that will have you holding your breath, along with some great surprises sprinkled throughout the book related to others on the team. It was just a wonderful book all around and I am really looking forward to more in the series; especially after getting a glimpse of the next story at the end. Definitely more awesomeness to come!
Kyle and Anaya made a great couple. The circumstances under which they met were definitely not the best and the situations they found themselves in along with the circumstances and events they had to endure were trying, to say the least, but I liked that they both had a strong mindset, uncompromising beliefs, compassion, endurance, and an unwavering love for each other that got them through. I strongly admired Anaya’s character. With everything she had been through from such a young age, she pushed forward to face her past and fears and overcome them. She had an amazing fortitude and resilience with everything thrown her way and even though she shut herself off for a time when she met Kyle and the team (especially Emmerson) she fought through her trauma to heal and let herself live and be happy. It was so encouraging and awesome to watch her transformation under Kyle’s tutelage. I enjoyed watching her relationship with him grow strong. She was quiet but fierce. She was determined to prove she could stand on her own, as well as by Kyle’s side. And Kyle’s alpha tendencies aside, I loved that he understood Anaya and let her be her own person and work through her haunting memories in her own way to conquer her fears so she could move forward. He was so kind, understanding and patient with her and their honesty with each other and the strong bond they formed was beautiful to see, and their chemistry was just wow!
This book can be read as a stand-alone but why would you want to do that when you can enjoy the other fabulous books in the Gold Team series?! And with that being said, I would, however, suggest reading Susan Stoker’s Securing Piper before reading Kyle and Anaya’s story because there are events in Stoker’s book that are built upon within this one (though again not necessary, just helpful for certain references within the book).
You definitely do not want to bypass this series.

Read red team first
First three books about the gold team, they work for Zane, this series is linked to other series started with Susan stokes from what I can figure out susan wrote a series with extra characters making cameos, other authors picks up a character and gives them a team and adds cameos from Susan's series linking them all together many authors has joined in calling it operation alphas at the end and added a logo.
my problem with this is I like to read in order, don't like to be a seer knowing who will be their wife and how that happened before I read the right series because they show up in another series.also you have to like do research (needs a white board) to figure out what authors are linked and try to read past before present.
I'm looking forward to autumn I think of her has a female Jack bower or Jason Bourne, yes she was taken and nearly broken but she found her fight for 8 years she is like a female arrow or robin hood.
We have had a few cameos in these three books of other series.I haven't read red team (best to read it first) it's before good team think blue team is after this one.

Brooks - Nothing better when the female lead has just enough strength, courage and brass balls as the male lead. IN Tatiana and Brooks case not only are they a perfect match, their hate/love relationship made the pages turn very quickly. Another great start to a series.
Thaddeus - This one set my heart a pumping. Emerson and Thad had their future set for them, so in love and supporting each other - that is until her sister goes missing and she ends up breaking his heart and walking away. But now they meet up again years later and they figure out they are both fighting for the same thing. Will this be the thing they need to reconnect? Or will the hurt from her leaving him be too much to overcome? This was an incredible read. Your emotions will be all over the place.
Kyle - Kyle and Anaya have an instant connection and get even closer as they fight the bad guys. But this is just not a story about good vs. evil, it is also a story about picking yourself up, dusting yourself off and becoming the person who is stronger than they ever realized. Anaya can stay strong because Kyle has her back. An emotional read.

Good read
All 3 books were very good reads.
Loved Brooks and Titania. She didn't want to even like him, but he was into her from the first glance. He also kept saving her life. Which makes him so much more attractive.
Thad had known Emerson before, but she had left him without a word and even though he still loved her they had major trust issues.
Kyle met Anaya when he and Dec were assigned to be her bodyguard. She knew we a bunch of orphaned

Oh my word! I was on the hunt for something different and that is what I found with Riley's books.
To say I am in love with this series and all her other works is an understatement.
I have binged on each and everyone of her books and love each and everyone.
Hot, steamy, sexy, sizzling with hot alpha males. I am in heaven.
