Too bad the murdered wasn't... Tabled

A new restaurant is opening in Fern Grove, but the competitor can't seem to take the heat and quickly falls ill while attending the soft opening.

We met several new characters associated with the new restaurant and a few are under suspicion for murder. The primary suspect, Luke is the owner. Tracy attempts to help Luke by boosting his negative attitude and reassuring him that he should continue with his dreams despite his setbacks.

There is a lot of love being shared in this read and we truly get to know Tracy and the kind and selfless person she is.

Tracy really begins to develop as a real person than before in the previous two books when she was more one dimentional. This book is my favorite, so far. I hope the new restaurant's owner Luke from The Table 🍲 is mentioned in future books because he seems to be a good guy.

I love that potential love is on the horizon for Tracy and Warren. Love gets me every time. 🕤😍

Next is book 4 "Mistletoe and Deadly Kisses," which means we are in for a Christmas feeling. Yay!

I enjoyed White Lily and a Fatal Chili. I was given a free copy of this audiobook at my request in exchange for an honest review. This is a clean cozy mystery . Tracy helps out Luke, a young man opening his restaurant. When a competitor's wife dies during the opening Luke is arrested for the crime. Tracy works to solve the mystery of who killed the woman and how to get Luke back in business. I liked the narrator. I recommend this book.

This book was not really my cup of tea. I don't expect a lot from the books I read, but there were too many little things that bothered me.

While the book is clearly set in Oregon, it would seem that the author is British as she uses a lot of terms and turns of phrase that I see in British literature. While this was a bit of a disconnect, it was even worse that she would jump back and forth between American terms and British terms.

I also didn't feel like a lot of the text contributed to the plot line. The story included a lot of things that had absolutely nothing to do with the current mystery at hand. It seemed more geared toward setting up the story for future books than moving the present plotline forward.

It was a fine read for a rainy day at the beach, but not something I would pick up if I had other options.

I received an advance copy of this book from the author in November. This is the third book in this series, where Traci has joined her Aunt Rose and Tiffany in the flower shop. When she meets someone getting ready to open a new restaurant, she offers to help buff up the interior image. But on opening day, the wife of a competitor and vocal critic dies, possibly from poisoning. Traci feels terrible for this budding chef and she and a Tiffany start trying to figure out what happened. The clues are a bit confusing, but she gets to meet the new detective in town. Romance, maybe? A great story with well-developed characters, that are fun to follow. I’m looking forward to reading the next one in the series!

The newest addition to the Fern Grove cozy mystery series is a fantastic read with lots of twists and turns that kept me guessing until the end. The main characters, Aunt Bess, Traci and Tiffany, work well together and are incredibly supportive and loyal. Traci seems to become involved in all of the crimes that happen in town and when she tries to help someone to get a new business of the ground with tragic consequences, this time is no different. I highly recommend this series and look forward to the next!

Greed and revenge

A much better read than the last book. The flow is better, the characters feel more alive and there interaction is more real. In that it moves well to the plot. The plot itself is okay but I must admit that i found the ending rather weak.
A new restaurant is due to open and the opener wants help on making it more inviting. However opening night comes to a sudden halt when a rival restaurateur's wife dies. What killed the woman? Throw in a bit of salsa dancing, new contracts, a handsome detections a bit of payback. Will they find out what happened?

White Lily and a Fatal Chili (Fern Grove #3), my fourth read from author Abby Reede & my third read in this series in the last 2 days. Well-written & enjoyable. another cute, clean cozy mystery with well-developed characters and detailed settings. I look forward to reading Freesia and Lethal Amnesia (Fern Grove Cozy Mystery Book 5). I was given an Audible copy of this book & am voluntarily reading & reviewing it. Narrator Elena Marino's narration adds to the book's enjoyment. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

What a surprise ending!!

In Season was offered to give a presentation at a hotel in Portland to decorate the hotel. Aunt Rose, Tracy, and Tiffany are very excited. In Season decorated a local opening of a restaurant. At the opening outside the restaurant, someone tell over dead. Abby Reede weaves her story so that you cannot put the book down because you want to see what will happen next. He sure to read this book, and see his Abby Reede takes you on a journey to reveal the murderer and whether In Season gets the contract for the hotel. Happy reading! 😊

White Lily and Fatal Chili emphasizes transformation. The local pastor encourages the transformation of Luke, a young man in Fern Grove who has a troubled past. Tracy’s flower magic transforms Luke’s budding restaurant from dull to happy and inviting. Of course, a murder occurs and Luke gets blamed. Tracy, Aunt Rose and Tiffany work through who poisoned the wife of Luke’s competition. Abby Reade has created a fun cast of characters in Fern Grove. Join them for another adventure.

Great addition to the series!

Lots of twist and turns to keep me interested. Tracy tries to help an up and coming restaurateur open his new restaurant when the wife of the competition dies from food poisoning at the opening. Was it murder? Tracy, Aunt Rose, and Tiffany try to come to the rescue! Can they help before Luke's chances of his dream are totally shattered? I'm really hooked on this series!

I received an ARC. This is my honest review.

White Lily and a Fatal Chili is the third book in the Fern Grove Cozy Mystery series. I loved this entertaining cozy mystery. The characters are well developed and interesting while Tracy, Aunt Rose and Tiffany gain more character depth with each book. The storyline is well written and engaging, with humour, murder, twists and turns, and a bit of romance.

I am looking forward to reading more books in this series.

There’s been another death in Fern Grove that has Murder written all over it- Tracy is helping out for the less fortunate and meets Luke who is opening his restaurant. After the spouse of his competition suspiciously died, Tracy steps in to help clear his name. Definitely surprised with the ending.

I just finished reading the book. It is a short read but it was good. It wasn’t just one or two characters that made the book good it was all of them. The story line was good and you won’t know who the killer was until the end. Again a good book.

I did enjoy this. Lots going on, great characters and with plenty of twists and turns it's not easy to know who is guilty. Just when I think I'm on the right track I find I had to think again.

Nice easy read and enjoyable

Poison

I loved reading this book. How a woman solves a murder after a person dies from eating finger foods at a new restaurant is pure chance. But it takes the sickness of another worker of the restaurant before this comes to light. This had me guessing until the very end.

This was a great mystery. The characters are real and loveable. The story is well written and complex. My favorite character is Tracy. The mystery itself is quite clever with some twists and turns that keep you guessing until the end. This book was very enjoyable.

Fun Characters, Small Town Charm

A fun cozy mystery with a charming cast of characters set in a delightful little town. (I'm still trying to figure out if it's stateside or British.) A bit of romance in the background, but the murder is the star.

Entertaining. One thing kept bothering me while reading this story. A chapter would abruptly end nd the next one would start further along in time with nothing to bridge the two together. The characters not very memorable.

This was a fun story. The characters are interesting; the plot is disjointed a bit, but can be followed if you concentrate: and the premise is finding out how a customer died after eating a few finger foods at the new restaurant. The culprit was found and the story ended okay.

The plot of this book was okay, but in my opinion the writing was uneven and the segues from one scene to another could have been a bit smoother.

Excellent

This series is exactly my kind off cozy mystery. They are fun, quick reads with just enough information to get to know the characters. The ending is always very much a surprise. There is some romance, but very little.
