A lot less errors than the 1st book, but still quite a few. Especially considering this is a very, very short read.

The story is a little bit more interesting than the 1st, but really very little to it.

Barely makes 3 stars.

The adult steam is mild to medium. In fact, I'm not even marking it in the adult genre.
There is 1 somewhat steamish scene, but.... most 16 and maybe even younger adults would find it mild.

Something Obsessive is the second book in the Her Protector series by Anne R. Boyden. It is a very quick and fast-paced short story that has a little of everything. There is drama, intrigue, danger, romance, sexual tension and of course some hot chemistry.

This is Ben and Bella's story. Ben is part of the security company with his other former military team mates and he is the head of security for Bella. She is a famous country singing star. Ben is "The bane of my existence and the star of my late-night fantasies." for Bella. She teases him mercilessly by wearing lacy babydoll nightwear to try and get him off his game. Ben is strong but he is a man on the edge of losing it and making Bella his. When she finds an envelope with a creepy letter in it taped to the outside of her bedroom window at her home Ben is turned into a man on a mission............to find the person doing this and ensure that Bella is protected. However, she is hand delivered another letter just before her first concert on a new tour and Ben takes her out of there immediately. To keep her safe he takes her to his "fish shack" located in the woods on a lake. Once there the tension between them sparks and then explodes into a major passion.
Will they catch the person sending Bella the threatening and creepy letters? Will Ben be able ot keep Bella safe? What will happen between Ben and Bella if the person is caught?

This very short, fast-paced OTT story is fun and enjoyable to read. The characters are nice written with some interesting and witty dialogue and banter between them. I am also going to note that there were a lot of proofreading errors that should have been spotted and were easily corrected before publication. Because of these my rating is 3 instead of 4 stars.

Bella King, a popular country music singer, found a white envelope taped to her bedroom window. The letter inside was presumed to be from her ex-husband Brian – the one she had mistakenly married when she got drunk one night in Vegas. A quick divorce did not convince the man she wasn’t his! Now he was stalking her. Her best friend, Lilah, finally talked her into showing the threatening note to her Head of Security, Ben Miller, so he could do his job and protect her.

Ben Miller created his own security firm with two other army buddies of his, Carter and Cory. Although trying to keep his protection services professional with Bella, the two of them have some definite chemistry. Unfortunately, Bella is not making it easy with the sexy lingerie she deliberately wears to entice him.

Bella's stalker begins to escalate his threats toward her, determined to get her back. When Bella gets another note before a performance, Ben has to take more aggressive action to catch the perp. He has her manager cancel the performance, and he drives her to his home in the woods. When she tumbles out of his truck, he catches her and kisses her as they have both wanted for the past three months! Now it’s up to his team to wait and watch for the stalker’s next attempt.

This was a fun book with a cute story line. Despite the danger of the stalker, the reader will have complete confidence in Ben’s team as they set up to capture Bella’s ex-husband who won’t leave her alone. Grab your copy and see Ben’s team in action! And you can probably guess already how the HEA might be progressing!

Meet Ben and Bella. Ben is an on military man that created his own security firm with two other buddies. His new job is to protect Bella, a quick rising country music singer. It is a slow simmer between Ben and Bella as Ben is determined not to cross the professional line. But damn Bella is making it tough. Bella's stalker is getting closer to her and escalating his threats. When Bella gets a note right before hitting the stage, things become too close and real, the professional line disappears. A great, short story with all the necessary details to pull you in until the end. I would love to read more on Carter and Cory, Ben's military buddies and business partners. Enjoy!

Security duty not bodyguard, been the former Army military man has said more than once. So as he is serving to protect Bella the famous country singer he is unaware that she has received a letter. Unfortunately the letter has been taped outside her bedroom window. Even more so it’s been there a few days before she actually decides to tell him. So with this being said, Ben is now on 1000% watch alert. When things start to escalate a little bit more he does what he does best he protects. Remove her from the elements and thus begins the meeting of the minds. This book is nice and quick. And basically even though Ben has been in the army And a higher rank, Miss Bella has her own tactical maneuvers.

This was a great over-the-top romance by Anne R. Boyden. Bella was a famous singer who found herself being stalked by her drunken-Vegas-marriage exhusband. Ben was her head of security, but she called him her bodyguard to get under his skin. She also wore lacey lingerie to get under his skin - and they were working.

Ben and Bella were both in a struggle of wills regarding their passion for the other. Ben had a job to do. Bella, well she was just playing with fire. When the threat escalated to unbearable levels, so did their chemistry and passion! Get your copy to find out the steamy details.

Bella is a country musician. She needs a body guard because her ex husband is stalking her. Ben is assigned to protect her but it's hard because she teases him horribly. She wants Ben as much as he wants her. She is getting ready for a concert when she gets a threading note. Ben takes her away from there to protect her. Protect her he does for the res of her life.

Good story but too short

I liked this story, it’s just a shame it’s so short. The characters are good and we imagine very well the singer Bella, enticing her head security, Ben. The story is very well written, hot, but due to its length, quite predictable.
Their relationship intensifies when she receives threatening letters and Ben finds a solution to shelter her.

This is a bodyguard, Ben, who starts to have feelings for the person he is protecting. Bella, who is a singer and has a psycho threatening her is also attracted to her bodyguard. Will there be fireworks, will there be more then attraction. It’s a quick read which can be done in one sitting. If your looking for some love, take a chance and read it - you won’t be disappointed!

This is the second book in the Her Protector series, it can be read as a standalone story.
Ben and Bella meet when Ben starts as her bodyguard, soon she gets a stalker and Ben starts to guard her closer. Their chemistry is sizzling hot and instantaneous. I really enjoyed this fast-paced steamy novella, the characters are incredibly likable. Really good.

This is one of those "what happens in Vegas does not stay in Vegas" when country music singer Bella gets married to someone she really did not know and now he is stalking her after she got her divorce. Her manager hires Ben as her bodyguard and there is that off the charts chemistry that they have for one another. This is a short romance with some great characters.

Oh, this one is short but hot.It's the right amount of words for an insta-love story about a hot bodyguard and a sweet country — singer. Obvious in this story both characters have their feelings before they walk straight into the bedroom, which is nice. I love hot insta- love storys because I can fall in the story knowing for sure that only magic , sweet moments will happen. Yeah, I loved this read.

I can't tell you how much I enjoyed reading this. It was a short story for sure but it has a great feel. The characters, Bella and Ben are so cute. Love military men! I could feel so much heat from Ben. I want more for these two. Would like to know if she kept singing, got pregnant, etc. No matter what, this story had great flow. I have nothing but love. :)

I enjoyed this alpha romance and quick read. It's a good addition to the "Her Protector" stories. It's a fairly quick read about a country singer and her body guard. They attraction intense and instant but both don't act upon it until a stalker comes into the picture. Things change and get passionate between them. This is a cute and sexy story. I like the characters and the plot is interesting.

Quick short novella with instant connection, fast paced. Little drama but, I thought the plot could have been developed a little more to make the storyline a bit more plausible. The ending was short and wrapped it all up.

Didn't take long to read, there wasn't much content but what was there was good, definitely had potential in my opinion to be a much longer book and could of learnt more about Bella and Ben. I did liked it though definitely worth a read if got an hour to kill.
