One wild night in Vegas!!!
Something Unexpected is the third book in the Her Protector series and is the story of Evelyn and Cory. These two meet in a Las Vegas night club, well actually she literally runs into his wall of muscle, and then things take an interesting turn. Evelyn is on a bachelorette weekend with a group of friends for her best friend Deanne. Cory is in Vegas meeting with potential clients for a few days.
Evelyn is twenty-six years old and owns her own publishing company based in San Francisco. She has focused solely on growing her business and getting new authors. This has meant that she does not take time for herself or to take a break and enjoy herself as much as she should.
Cory is mid thirties, lives in San Francisco and owns the security company Oreon with his friends Carter and Ben, who he served in the Army with. He is the last of the three to still be single.
After Evelyn runs into Cory and he catches her she asks him to dance and then he asks her to get out of there with him. She does and they walk around the downtown area for several hours talking and getting to know each other into the early morning hours. The next morning Evelyn awakes with not only a massive hangover but also a huge rock on her ring finger in a bed with a strange man. It turns out while they were both drunk the tied the knot in Vegas. Luckily they did not get naked but it is still more than a shock. When Evelyn realizes what time it is she tries to run out as she has a flight in less than an hour with Cory catching her before she can escape his grasp. But she is quick and wriggles out from under him with a "let's just forget this ever happened". However, he is not so easily dissuaded as they are both from San Francisco so he is about to hunt down and find his wife when he returns. Let's just say that the other men have more than a few laughs at his expense since he got married and lost his wife all within the span of a few hours. Once Cory finally tracks Evelyn down he is going to keep her under him in the most delicious ways.
This very short, fast-paced OTT story is fun and enjoyable to read. The characters are nice written with some interesting and witty dialogue and banter between them. I am also going to note that there were a lot of proofreading errors that should have been spotted and were easily corrected before publication. Because of these my rating is 3 instead of 4 stars.

I really enjoyed this story. I did a lot of smiling and laughing. The characters were great and their interactions were awesome.

He's determined to track Evelyn down and make her his.
I really loved how direct Cory and Evelyn were with each other. There was very little angst, even though Evelyn ran off, which was nice. Loved their happy ever after. This is short but so sweet you will enjoy it. I definitely recommend this book.

I am so sad to see this series end, but wow, what a way to go! The characters, Cory and Evelyn (Ev) compliment each other in every way: she was sassy, stubborn, headstrong, workaholic, determined, he was protective, more relaxed, light-hearted yet determined, equally as stubborn, and completely, unquestioningly, totally in love with her. This quick read grabs your attention immediately and holds fast as you race to the end.
Out with her friends, Evelyn was not looking for a man. Finding Cory after having a few too many was just...luck. They spend the whole night dancing, walking, talking, sharing, and just generally getting to know each other. Getting married was NOT part of his plan. Neither was having Ev bolt the next morning without so much as a last name, phone number, or parting kiss. Good thing he and his friends run a security company!

A whirlwind romance that has potential
Evelyn is living it up with her besties at a 3-day bachelorette party for one of them. She has worked hard for the life she has accomplished but feels like she is missing out since she has pushed away the few guys that she has dated.
When she bumps into a tall, handsome, blonde Adonis of man - they dance, talk, and in a tipsy haze get married. The next morning - she ends up running.
Cory met and married the woman of his dreams the night before only to have her run the next morning. But he likes a chase and won’t let his angel get away so easily.
I liked the concept of this story, but it fell short for me since character and story development fell a little short. It has so much potential, but fell short since everything felt so rushed. If the author took a little more time to develop everything, I know this story would be fantastic

This is a short, sexy, romantic book by Anne R. Boyden, about a couple who meet in Vegas. It features EVELYN and CORY who met in a club in Vegas, when they run into each other, coming out of the bathroom. One dance and feeling a little drunk, they said goodbye to Evelyn's friend, walked hand and hand exploring the strip and Ciry pointing out all his favorite palaces. Evelyn woke the next morning, with a muscular arm around her waist and a diamond ring on her finger and Cory in her bed. As she ran to catch her flight, Evelyn realized she had fallen in love with her husband in less then one day. When Cory got back to work, he told his best friend he found the love of his life and vowed to find his wife.

Nothing like going to Vegas with friends for Bachelorette party and your the one getting married. How does that happen? When you meet a good looking man and start a conversation along with drinking & dancing that's how it happens. Evelyn is the girl it happens too! Cory is in Vegas for work and ends up with Evelyn drinking, dancing, On a whim he says lets get Married. So they do by none other then Elvis. Why not your Vegas get the whole experience. She leaves the next to go back to her normal life Married. Cory is not letting the girl of his dreams, his wife go that easy. He tracks her down and shows her she still belongs with him.

If you're looking for an easy to follow, hot, steamy, sexy, smooth flowing read that captures your attention from the start. Congratulations my friends you've found it. The characters and scenes are realistic and believable. Twists and turns and unpredictable surprises that kept my eyes on the pages and on the edge of my seat. I followed the characters fascinated as their personalities transformed and blended. Vivid detailed descriptions were so life like and on point. The storyline was solided and well defined. Cold showers may be in order when your finished. Anne R. Boyden did a remarkable job bringing this story together beautifully.

Cory and Evelyn meet in Las Vegas and sparks fly instantly. On a whim they decide to get married after spending the night with each other. The next morning everything comes crashing down and Evelyn makes a bad escape back to California. Corey isnt giving up without a fight though and does everything to find her. Evelyn regretted leaving the moment she stepped on her plane but didnt know what to do about it. Lucky for her Corey finds her and they get their hea. This is a short sweet little read about a great couple.

This is book three in the Her Protector series. This is Cory and Evelyn's story which all starts with a trip to Vegas. Cory is going along and make sure that Evelyn stays out of trouble. No problem, except he finds Evelyn in trouble and he ends up right in there with her. They got married, to each other! Evelyn freaked out and took off and now, the chase is on. Cory is determined to make this marriage work, he just needs to find his wife first. A short, steamy read with a whole lot of feelings along this wild ride of a story. Enjoy!

What happens in Vegas doesn't always stay in Vegas! Very quick read, but also a very good read. Cory is funny, sweet, sexy, and HOT. Evelyn is driven, sweet, and worn down by living her dream. Bumping into each other near the restrooms of a crowded club leads to an evening out and about which leads to a quickie marriage. When Evelyn runs, Cory is quick to give chase! I simply adored reading this book.

This was an awesome book that I really enjoyed. The story and characters grabbed me from the beginning and I couldn't stop reading. I loved the characters and watching them grow together, they were well written and went well together. I found this book amazing with great word building making me feel apart of the story and watching it unfold in front of me. A definite must read for any fan and I can't wait to read more from this author!!!

Practically neighbors. Cory meets Evelyn at her girlfriends bachelorette party. She invites him to dance and then things get really interesting. Take a walk, see the sights, learn something about each other and then Elvis marries them. All I can say is that this story was really good but ends too fast. I would have loved a longer story. What happens at s bachelorette party. Doesn't stay there apparently especially if in vegas, evelyn meets cory they fall instant in lust,& love ,the same night they married ,next day evelyn is gone groom is hot on her trail, wants his wife back and goes get her

One of those lighthearted books you just can’t put down. Cory is such a fun charming guy and Evelyn is career minded woman, but they both feel the pull of Vegas and do something unexpected. Enjoyable read with a great ending.

Absolutely loved it! Quick read with instant love between characters. Waking up and realizing that she is married, Evelyn leaves her new husband and flies home from Vegas. Cory does not even know the last name of his new wife and asks for help from his friends to track her down.

Short cute romance with good characters. It's just a shame that it's so short.

This is a quick little story with likable characters who will make you smile. Instant attraction. Sizzling chemistry. It was an enjoyable read and I have added it to my library to read again.
