Just imagine the boys of either team during post game interviews. Kageyama + Ushijima + Hoshiumi sharing a total amount of zero people skills between them, and Hinata + Bokuto + Atsumu being the pure ADHD chaos (and Sakusa being disgusted by them, I guess). The time skip teams must be one of my favorite things in the entire series, I love them ❤️

It's strange starting a manga with Volume 43 and while at times this story did feel a bit like the post-credits "where are they now" scene of a high school movie, it really didn't matter. This was a heck of a fun read! The volleyball action was well drawn; there was detailed explanation of volleyball skills, strategy, and tactics; and there was a lot of history and fun interplay between the characters. Sure it's a bit of an unrealistic plot and every character has super manga levels of skill, but it was a heck of a fun ride. Now I just have to go back and read the first 42 volumes.

Okay now, this... This was everything that a Haikyuu!! volume should be!
Without a doubt one of my favourite volumes in the whole series, it made me laugh, it almost made me cry and it had me on the edge of my seat wanting to know who was going to score next.
I'm absolutely loving seeing everyone now that they've graduated and become adults. Yes, it breaks my heart a little bit because it means the whole series is ending for me soon but I feel almost proud of them all, like I've watched them all grow up.
Everything about this series just makes me so dang happy! I cant wait for the next volume!

I CANNOT HANDLE THE AWESOMENESS OF THIS MANGA!!!
IT IS SO GOOD!!
Haikyu has ALWAYS been good, but seriously it just gets better and better with each volume! I felt I was honestly on cloud nine with because you see almost EVERYONE! I think every time someone new came on, I felt a burst of happiness! It was AMAZING! (And seeing everyone grown up really hit the feels! And there interactions were so on point!)
And GAH! The way Hinata sees Kageyama again and everything that follows in that chapter is pure gold! Can these characters please be real?! I wish I could go fly out to Japan and hangout with all of them! They dynamics and their interactions are happiness and I love it so so so much!!
Oh, and the Brazilian arc was so very good! Definitely one of my favorite arcs!
AND THAT ENDING!! Hinata has made a name for himself and it was the best way to show how he has!!! YES YES YES!!
Bring on the next volume!!

I'm marking this as read because I'm not 100% sure what chapter this ends/ is going to end on. But I'm reading them weekly anyway so consider it read lol. I think the direction Furudate is taking the manga is interesting. I feel like it could both go really good or really bad, but we'll see. I'll probably enjoy it regardless.

This brought me so much joy, seeing my boys all grown up!
I was smiling, cackling and fawning the entire time. Seeing Hinata finally get the recognition he deserves, and being able to back himself up is so satisfying. Looking at his progress from the beginning to now, I can't help but feel like a proud mom!
I also love that, now that their older, their playing on different teams, with different match ups. I love all of these boys with every fiber of my being!

AAAHHHH! Seeing everybody grown up and living different lives is so crazy! (But in a good way.)
I both love and hate the fact that Hinata finally gets a chance to play against Kageyama again. I don't really know which team to root for! (Well, Hinata's team has Bokuto, so... I might be rooting for them.)
Favorite moments:
-Just seeing all of the characters again! I can't pick and choose for this volume! (Still waiting for Nishinoya, though.)

This counts as my review for the whole Haikyuu!! manga
READ FOR: best character developments and themes that I have ever encountered
READING LEVEL: Level 1-3 out of 5
*All of my reviews are as spoiler-free as possible unless stated otherwise*
I don’t think I’ll ever have enough words to express how much I love this manga and anime series but I’ll try anyway. But I just need to make it known that this has changed my view in anime and manga forever. I caught up with this manga in the last 30 or so chapters but I won’t say much to avoid spoilers... but it was crazy.
It made me laugh, cry, fall in love, think, and honestly... what else do you need in a series? I can keep going on and on about this series but honestly I think you should just read it for yourself. I really don't think you'll regret it.
When someone asks me what the plot is, honestly, all I can say is “they play volleyball” HAHAHA… but it’s so much more than that.
PLOT: ★★★★★
The plot was so well thought of from the very beginning and when I re-read the manga I can’t believe the amount of foreshadowing Furudate actually placed. My mind was so blown… I just. No words. I am seriously in love.
ART STYLE: ★★★★★
The art style… *chef’s kiss* especially in the later arcs. There were so many matches but even then Furudate never failed to leave me breathless at each one.
CHARACTERS: ★★★★★
The character development here is THE BEST. HANDS DOWN. that I have ever come across. I fell in love with the so many characters in this series that I did not even think that was possible.
The character relationships... the character dynamics... their mindsets... they are all so perfectly well done and realistic GAHHHH I've said this so many time throughout this review BUT THEY JUST MADE ME FALL IN LOVE SO EASILY. I can't pick my favourite one but hinata and kageyama just hold a special place in my heart.
This connects to the themes but my favourite thing that was done with the characters here was that each one of them embodied a theme or a message that the author wanted to get across. Those are spoilers so I won’t really talk about it but just know that it was one of the main reasons that made me go so crazy about this series.

Honestly I basically thought the themes were just gonna be “teamwork” and “friendship”… while it is all that, Furudate sensei was able to make it even deeper. And the symbolisms? You are not ready.
I think the one that was focused on the most was “It’s not always about winning, it’s about growth”. But there were also so many smaller things that lead up to that bigger point: (1) we get our strength from others, (2) but you also need to make yourself dependable, (3) there is always room for improvement, (4) working hard is good but overworking yourself isn’t, (5) you are built on the small things you do everyday, (6) an ace's back should be an inspiration to your teammates (hi bokuto), (7)+++
The way I wrote it was very straight to the point but I was amazed at how Furudate tackled the so many messages that I received from this series.
PACING: ★★★★★

The long awaited Hinata vs Kageyama or rather Black Jackals vs Schweidan Adlers. It's only the first set and it's already a banger. I mean yeah Kageyama is way cooler now but he's always been cool. Hinata just keeps on getting better and better and is full of surprises.
